they_o nor_o shall_v they_o want_v comfort_n when_o ever_o they_o stand_v in_o need_n thereof_o yea_o rather_o shall_v angel_n from_o heaven_n be_v their_o help_n and_o comforter_n then_o faithful_a minister_n shall_v be_v leave_v destitute_a hitherto_o of_o the_o second_o general_a point_n namely_o of_o the_o prophet_n consolation_n the_o three_o and_o last_o general_a point_n be_v the_o renovatiou_n of_o the_o prophet_n commission_n point_n in_o the_o eight_o &_o part_n of_o the_o nine_o verse_n and_o it_o contain_v 3._o part_n 1._o a_o question_n or_o inquiry_n make_v by_o god_n when_o shall_v i_o send_v and_o who_o shall_v go_v for_o we_o 2_o the_o answer_n of_o the_o prophet_n here_o be_o i_o send_v i_o 3_o the_o commission_n renew_v unto_o he_o the_o lord_n say_v go_v and_o speak_v unto_o this_o people_n the_o first_o part_n be_v a_o question_n make_v by_o question_n god_n by_o way_n of_o proclamation_n wherein_o he_o enquire_v who_o shall_v go_v preach_v unto_o send_v this_o people_n also_o i_o hear_v the_o voice_n of_o the_o lord_n say_v who_o shall_v i_o send_v and_o who_o shall_v gay_n for_o we_o in_o which_o proclamation_n and_o inquiry_n who_o of_o the_o lord_n we_o be_v not_o to_o imagine_v that_o the_o lord_n be_v either_o unprovided_a of_o such_o as_o shall_v execute_v his_o will_n or_o know_v not_o who_o be_v able_a or_o who_o be_v willing_a to_o go_v preach_v his_o word_n for_o as_o the_o apostle_n say_v in_o the_o matter_n of_o election_n 19_o the_o lord_n know_v whr_fw-mi be_v he_o so_o much_o more_o in_o particular_a vocation_n the_o lord_n know_v who_o be_v his_o and_o need_v not_o to_o ask_v who_o shall_v i_o send_v or_o who_o shall_v go_v but_o than_o it_o may_v be_v demand_v why_o the_o doctrine_n lord_n say_v so_o i_o answer_v not_o for_o his_o own_o sake_n but_o for_o we_o who_o hereby_o he_o will_v instruct_v in_o diverse_a point_n of_o holy_a doctrine_n first_o hereby_o he_o will_v give_v we_o to_o understand_v how_o hard_o a_o thing_n it_o be_v to_o find_v a_o able_a and_o godly_a minister_n for_o if_o minister_n there_o be_v not_o a_o great_a scarcity_n of_o such_o man_n the_o lord_n need_v not_o ask_v this_o question_n but_o some_o will_v object_v against_o this_o that_o there_o be_v in_o many_o christian_a down_o church_n so_o many_o minister_n as_o they_o can_v all_o be_v maintain_v but_o some_o go_v up_o and_o down_o undisposed_a and_o unprovided_a for_o i_o answer_v this_o be_v too_o true_a in_o all_o age_n there_o be_v wander_v church_n levits_n in_o the_o old_a testament_n which_o go_v up_o and_o down_o and_o offer_v their_o service_n and_o serve_v for_o 10._o shekel_n of_o silver_n and_o a_o suit_n of_o apparel_n and_o meat_n and_o drink_v but_o this_o calamity_n be_v upon_o the_o 6._o church_n of_o the_o jew_n never_o but_o then_o when_o there_o be_v no_o king_n in_o israel_n and_o every_o one_o do_v that_o which_o be_v good_a in_o his_o own_o eye_n if_o therefore_o there_o be_v any_o in_o our_o church_n and_o in_o christian_n nation_n which_o go_v up_o and_o down_o and_o offer_v their_o service_n at_o such_o rate_n it_o be_v much_o more_o miserable_a 6._o see_v now_o there_o be_v king_n in_o israel_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v no_o reason_n that_o every_o man_n rob_v the_o church_n as_o it_o shall_v please_v his_o covetous_a mind_n but_o cease_v to_o inquire_v whether_o this_o be_v so_o or_o no_o and_o if_o it_o be_v so_o leave_v the_o reformation_n thereof_o to_o those_o church_n and_o state_n any_o who_o it_o may_v concern_v i_o answer_v for_o the_o matter_n in_o hand_n that_o this_o may_v be_v so_o and_o yet_o the_o lord_n may_v complain_v as_o here_o he_o do_v who_o shall_v i_o send_v for_o the_o lord_n mean_v not_o such_o as_o bear_v the_o name_n of_o levit_n or_o priest_n in_o the_o old_a or_o of_o minister_n in_o the_o new_a testament_n for_o there_o be_v always_o enough_o of_o they_o who_o some_o for_o preferment_n sake_n some_o for_o their_o ease_n and_o some_o for_o a_o refuge_n how_o to_o live_v be_v willing_a to_o enter_v that_o function_n and_o according_o in_o that_o call_n see_v not_o the_o lord_n but_o themselves_o and_o their_o own_o end_n but_o here_o the_o lord_n enquire_v for_o minister_n such_o man_n as_o first_o pure_o do_v seek_v and_o undertake_v that_o function_n therein_o to_o honour_n god_n and_o to_o gather_v his_o church_n and_o then_o in_o all_o their_o labour_n and_o ministerial_a duty_n true_o and_o faithful_o endeavour_n to_o the_o same_o end_n preach_v god_n word_n and_o as_o god_n word_n diligent_o reprove_v exhort_v and_o admonish_v and_o shine_v before_o their_o people_n in_o good_a work_n for_o such_o man_n it_o be_v no_o marvel_n though_o the_o lord_n light_v a_o candle_n at_o no_o one_o day_n and_o make_v open_a proclamation_n 16._o to_o seek_v for_o they_o say_v who_o shall_v i_o send_v for_o such_o a_o man_n be_v as_o job_n say_v one_o of_o a_o thousand_o for_o some_o wat_fw-mi ability_n to_o discharge_v their_o duty_n as_o s._n paul_n say_v who_o be_v sufficient_a for_o those_o thing_n and_o some_o want_n willingness_n to_o undertake_v the_o labour_n as_o god_n here_o complain_v who_o shall_v go_v for_o we_o now_o to_o make_v use_n of_o this_o doctrine_n to_o our_o church_n it_o be_v to_o be_v wish_v that_o in_o these_o day_n &_o for_o our_o christian_n church_n the_o lord_n day_n have_v not_o as_o great_a cause_n to_o cry_v out_o in_o the_o want_n of_o able_a faithful_a and_o godly_a minister_n who_o shall_v i_o send_v and_o who_o shall_v go_v for_o we_o but_o alas_o this_o want_n be_v too_o apparent_a and_o this_o blemish_n be_v too_o notorious_a and_o it_o be_v a_o work_n worthy_a the_o labour_n of_o king_n and_o prince_n to_o reform_v it_o and_o be_v a_o king_n evil_a not_o to_o be_v heal_v but_o by_o the_o power_n of_o a_o king_n for_o as_o long_o as_o there_o be_v so_o few_o and_o mean_a preferment_n for_o painful_a minister_n there_o will_v never_o want_v abundance_n of_o such_o minister_n as_o do_v want_v either_o conscience_n or_o ability_n to_o discharge_v their_o duty_n in_o the_o mean_a time_n till_o god_n put_v into_o ministry_n the_o heart_n of_o parliament_n and_o prince_n to_o lock_v to_o this_o great_a and_o needful_a work_n let_v we_o minister_n learn_v our_o duty_n and_o first_o we_o who_o be_v in_o the_o university_n be_v here_o admonish_v to_o look_v to_o ourselves_o by_o god_n blessing_n we_o be_v many_o and_o daily_o grow_v more_o and_o more_o let_v we_o therefore_o so_o furnish_v ourselves_o as_o that_o when_o god_n or_o his_o church_n shall_v say_v who_o shall_v go_v for_o we_o and_o who_o shall_v i_o send_v then_o he_o may_v find_v many_o among_o we_o who_o he_o may_v send_v to_o that_o great_a work_n of_o the_o minisierie_a &_o let_v we_o fear_v to_o be_v such_o as_o thar_z god_n may_v affirm_v of_o we_o as_o in_o the_o day_n of_o job_n that_o he_o can_v find_v one_o of_o a_o thousand_o second_o all_o minister_n learn_v here_o minister_n not_o to_o content_v themselves_o with_o the_o name_n and_o title_n of_o minister_n but_o labour_n for_o the_o substantial_a ornament_n thereof_o nor_o to_o be_v willing_a to_o take_v the_o honour_n and_o live_n and_o to_o refuse_v the_o burden_n and_o duty_n of_o the_o ministry_n for_o else_o let_v they_o know_v god_n have_v minister_n no_o need_n of_o they_o for_o have_v the_o lord_n please_v or_o content_v himself_o with_o such_o kind_n of_o man_n as_o seek_v to_o be_v minister_n for_o themselves_o and_o not_o for_o his_o sake_n or_o be_v minister_n do_v feed_v themselves_o and_o not_o their_o flock_n or_o preach_v themselves_o and_o not_o christ_n then_o have_v he_o not_o need_v to_o have_v make_v this_o proclamation_n for_o age_n have_v yield_v store_n of_o such_o but_o contrariwise_o he_o that_o be_v painful_a and_o faithful_a in_o this_o function_n let_v he_o know_v that_o god_n and_o his_o church_n have_v send_v need_n of_o he_o last_o here_o the_o romish_a clergy_n be_v just_o to_o be_v tax_v who_o number_n be_v infinite_a but_o it_o be_v lamentable_a to_o see_v how_o few_o among_o many_o thousand_o there_o be_v of_o dominican_n or_o franciscan_n or_o in_o some_o one_o of_o their_o order_n and_o yet_o among_o the_o many_o million_o of_o their_o monk_n there_o be_v scarce_o to_o
some_o for_o tradesman_n some_o for_o man_n some_o for_o woman_n but_o repentance_n be_v for_o all_o without_o which_o it_o may_v be_v say_v of_o all_o and_o every_o one_o of_o age_n not_o one_o except_v no_o repentance_n no_o salvation_n these_o sermon_n be_v in_o my_o hand_n and_o not_o deliver_v to_o i_o from_o hand_n to_o hand_n but_o take_v with_o this_o hand_n of_o i_o from_o his_o own_o mouth_n be_v think_v worthy_a for_o the_o excellency_n &_o fit_a for_o the_o generality_n of_o the_o matter_n to_o be_v offer_v to_o the_o public_a view_v i_o have_v also_o other_o work_n of_o christian_n to_o solicit_v the_o lord_n in_o prayer_n for_o i_o that_o i_o may_v faithful_o discharge_v myself_o of_o that_o great_a charge_n which_o in_o this_o respect_n lie_v upon_o i_o and_o that_o his_o grace_n and_o blessing_n may_v be_v on_o i_o and_o all_o other_o who_o be_v to_o be_v employ_v in_o this_o service_n wherein_o have_v the_o lord_n so_o please_v we_o can_v hearty_o have_v wish_v never_o to_o have_v be_v employ_v but_o that_o his_o life_n may_v have_v ease_v we_o of_o the_o labour_n and_o that_o as_o i_o begin_v with_o this_o so_o i_o or_o some_o other_o better_a able_a which_o i_o rather_o desire_v may_v go_v forward_o undertake_v the_o weight_n of_o this_o great_a burden_n and_o not_o faint_a till_o he_o have_v make_v a_o faithful_a account_n to_o the_o church_n for_o he_o who_o be_v the_o author_n hereof_o who_o mouth_n speak_v it_o from_o the_o feel_n of_o his_o soul_n &_o who_o soul_n be_v now_o bind_v up_o in_o the_o bundle_n of_o life_n i_o know_v and_o can_v in_o good_a conscience_n conceal_v the_o great_a delight_n you_o have_v always_o have_v in_o the_o read_n of_o his_o book_n the_o reverend_a opinion_n you_o have_v of_o he_o live_v and_o how_o heavy_o and_o passionate_o you_o take_v his_o death_n and_o departure_n therefore_o to_o cheer_v you_o up_o in_o want_n of_o he_o i_o send_v you_o here_o this_o little_a book_n his_o own_o child_n at_o the_o last_o day_n from_o the_o lord_n my_o god_n who_o word_n at_o my_o mouth_n you_o have_v receive_v with_o much_o reverence_n and_o with_o such_o profit_n as_o if_o i_o have_v the_o like_a success_n of_o my_o labour_n in_o other_o i_o shall_v then_o never_o have_v cause_n to_o say_v with_o the_o prophet_n i_o have_v labour_v in_o vain_a &_o spend_v my_o strength_n in_o vain_a but_o my_o judgement_n be_v with_o the_o lord_n &_o my_o work_n with_o my_o god_n and_o if_o i_o know_v you_o not_o to_o be_v such_o as_o take_v more_o delight_n in_o do_v well_o then_o in_o hear_v of_o it_o i_o will_v prove_v at_o large_a what_o i_o have_v speak_v of_o you_o yet_o give_v i_o leave_v to_o say_v that_o which_o without_o open_a wrong_n i_o may_v not_o conceal_v that_o beside_o your_o rare_a knowledge_n and_o godly_a zeal_n to_o religion_n and_o other_o duty_n of_o the_o first_o table_n to_o god_n himself_o your_o charity_n &_o pity_n to_o the_o needy_a distress_a christian_n at_o home_o and_o abroad_o your_o merciful_a deal_n with_o they_o who_o be_v in_o your_o power_n your_o benevolence_n to_o learning_n and_o namely_o to_o some_o in_o the_o university_n do_v all_o proclaim_v to_o the_o world_n those_o your_o due_a praise_n which_o i_o well_o know_v your_o modesty_n do_v spare_v once_o to_o name_n neither_o will_v i_o have_v say_v thus_o much_o be_v it_o not_o for_o this_o cold_a and_o barren_a age_n wherein_o we_o live_v that_o so_o when_o our_o preach_n can_v move_v yet_o your_o godly_a example_n may_v stir_v up_o pardon_v i_o therefore_o i_o pray_v you_o and_o think_v it_o no_o wrong_n to_o you_o which_o be_v a_o benefit_n to_o god_n church_n but_o go_v forward_o in_o the_o strength_n of_o the_o lord_n your_o god_n &_o hold_v on_o in_o that_o happy_a 24._o course_n you_o have_v begin_v be_v faithful_a unto_o the_o end_n the_o lord_n will_v give_v you_o the_o crown_n of_o life_n faithful_a be_v he_o which_o have_v promise_v who_o will_v also_o do_v it_o proceed_v good_a sir_n to_o honour_v learning_n in_o yourself_o and_o other_o and_o religion_n especial_o which_o be_v the_o principal_a learning_n and_o proceed_v both_o of_o you_o to_o practice_v religion_n in_o your_o own_o person_n and_o in_o your_o family_n hold_v on_o to_o shine_v before_o your_o family_n and_o among_o the_o people_n where_o you_o dwell_v in_o zeal_n and_o holiness_n hold_v on_o hereby_o still_o to_o shame_v popery_n to_o stop_v your_o enemy_n mouth_n and_o to_o honour_v that_o holy_a religion_n which_o you_o profess_v to_o gain_v comfort_n of_o good_a conscience_n to_o yourselves_o &_o assurance_n of_o eternal_a reward_n and_o last_o to_o encourage_v i_o in_o those_o painful_a duty_n which_o lie_v upon_o i_o for_o i_o open_o profess_v that_o your_o religious_a zeal_n and_o love_n of_o the_o truth_n with_o many_o other_o good_a help_n be_v principal_a encouragement_n in_o my_o ministry_n &_o especial_a motive_n unto_o i_o to_o undertake_v the_o charge_n of_o publication_n of_o so_o many_o of_o the_o work_n of_o this_o holy_a man_n decease_v as_o may_v not_o in_o better_a manner_n be_v do_v by_o other_o but_o i_o keep_v you_o too_o long_o from_o this_o holy_a exhortation_n follow_v i_o therefore_o send_v you_o to_o it_o &_o it_o to_o you_o and_o from_o you_o to_o the_o church_n of_o god_n for_o i_o dare_v not_o make_v it_o to_o be_v private_o you_o and_o i_o wherein_o the_o whole_a church_n have_v interest_n as_o well_o as_o we_o it_o be_v preach_v in_o the_o field_n but_o it_o be_v worthy_a to_o be_v admit_v into_o our_o heart_n i_o find_v it_o in_o the_o open_a field_n but_o upon_o diligent_a view_n find_v it_o to_o be_v god_n corn_n and_o a_o parcel_n of_o his_o holy_a and_o immortal_a seed_n therefore_o i_o bring_v it_o home_o as_o good_a corn_n deserve_v and_o as_o it_o be_v god_n corn_n so_o in_o you_o i_o desire_v all_o holy_a christian_n to_o lay_v it_o up_o in_o god_n garner_n that_o be_v in_o their_o heart_n and_o soul_n and_o thus_o commit_v this_o little_a volume_n to_o your_o read_n the_o matter_n
s._n paul_n and_o other_o the_o reason_n of_o this_o deal_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v plain_a namely_o because_o man_n nature_n be_v always_o ready_a to_o take_v enough_o and_o too_o much_o unto_o itself_o god_n therefore_o in_o his_o wisdom_n put_v a_o bridle_n unto_o the_o corrupt_a nature_n of_o man_n &_o astonish_v it_o lest_o it_o presume_v too_o much_o &_o take_v too_o much_o upon_o itself_o again_o a_o minister_n be_v to_o preach_v unto_o the_o people_n fear_n &_o reverence_n of_o the_o lord_n but_o how_o can_v he_o do_v so_o to_o other_o when_o he_o have_v not_o tie_v that_o bond_n in_o his_o own_o conscience_n nor_o be_v ever_o cast_v down_o in_o admiration_n of_o god_n glory_n &_o majesty_n and_o last_o the_o ministry_n be_v a_o high_a &_o excellent_a call_n especial_o the_o office_n of_o extraordinary_a prophet_n in_o the_o old_a testament_n &_o be_v therefore_o subject_a to_o pride_n and_o to_o be_v puff_v up_o with_o self-conceit_n &_o therefore_o teach_v the_o apostle_n to_o timothy_n that_o a_o 13._o minister_n may_v not_o be_v a_o young_a scholar_n lest_o he_o be_v puff_v up_o &_o fall_v into_o the_o condemnation_n of_o the_o wicked_a give_v we_o to_o understand_v that_o it_o be_v the_o peculiar_a danger_n of_o that_o calling_n to_o have_v high_a conceit_n of_o themselves_o because_o of_o the_o height_n &_o dignity_n of_o their_o function_n therefore_o to_o prevent_v this_o inconvenience_n god_n in_o mercy_n appoint_v that_o all_o his_o true_a minister_n shall_v have_v some_o mean_n or_o other_o to_o be_v cast_v down_o even_o to_o nothing_o in_o themselves_o &_o shall_v be_v drive_v into_o such_o fear_n &_o amazement_n at_o sight_n of_o their_o own_o wickedness_n as_o they_o shall_v throw_v down_o themselves_o at_o christ_n foot_n and_o deny_v themselves_o whole_o shall_v acknowledge_v that_o they_o be_v in_o he_o whatsoever_o they_o be_v and_o do_v rely_v and_o trust_v only_o on_o his_o grace_n and_o help_v god_n the_o use_n of_o this_o doctrine_n as_o it_o be_v for_o all_o minister_n so_o special_o for_o we_o which_o live_v in_o the_o university_n we_o live_v as_o it_o be_v in_o a_o seminary_n and_o many_o of_o we_o be_v hereafter_o by_o god_n grace_n to_o be_v frame_v to_o the_o ministry_n and_o some_o of_o we_o already_o be_v now_o here_o we_o have_v many_o occasion_n to_o be_v puff_v up_o in_o self-conceit_n we_o see_v our_o meanness_n self_n grow_v in_o time_n in_o degree_n in_o learning_n in_o honour_n in_o name_n and_o estimation_n &_o to_o many_o of_o we_o god_n give_v good_a portion_n of_o his_o gift_n what_o be_v all_o these_o but_o so_o many_o bait_n to_o allure_v we_o to_o pride_n &_o vain_a opinion_n of_o our_o own_o worth_n but_o let_v we_o remember_v the_o end_n we_o aim_v at_o be_v not_o humane_a nor_o carnal_a our_o purpose_n be_v to_o save_v soul_n then_o the_o weapon_n of_o our_o war_n must_v not_o be_v carnal_a as_o pride_n vainglory_n 4._o and_o self-conceit_n if_o therefore_o we_o ever_o look_v to_o be_v make_v instrument_n of_o god_n glory_n in_o save_v of_o soul_n then_o at_o the_o first_o set_v we_o not_o before_o our_o eye_n the_o honour_n but_o the_o danger_n of_o our_o call_n and_o humble_a we_o ourselves_o under_o the_o mighty_a hand_n of_o our_o god_n that_o he_o may_v exale_v we_o in_o his_o due_a time_n and_o let_v we_o be_v content_a that_o work_n he_o must_v be_v resolve_v that_o to_o call_v a_o man_n to_o the_o ministry_n be_v the_o great_a work_n that_o god_n work_v in_o his_o church_n but_o the_o convert_n of_o a_o sinner_n and_o this_o we_o have_v a_o land_n also_o that_o flow_v with_o milk_n &_o honey_n it_o be_v plentiful_a in_o all_o good_a thing_n we_o have_v liberty_n &_o peace_n under_o a_o peaceable_a prince_n and_o the_o companion_n of_o peace_n prosperity_n plenty_n health_n wealth_n corn_n wool_n gold_n silver_n abundance_n of_o all_o thing_n that_o may_v please_v the_o heart_n of_o man_n thus_o have_v god_n beat_v their_o ear_n and_o light_n shine_v round_o about_o they_o so_o as_o if_o they_o close_v not_o their_o eye_n and_o stop_v not_o their_o ear_n they_o can_v not_o but_o both_o hear_v &_o see_v can_v convert_v they_o it_o strike_v they_o with_o fear_n terror_n &_o torment_n either_o in_o life_n or_o at_o death_n which_o torment_n of_o conscience_n be_v the_o very_a flash_n of_o hellfire_n they_o stubborn_o resist_v it_o when_o they_o commend_v he_o and_o reward_v he_o and_o when_o they_o rail_v at_o he_o and_o persecute_v he_o for_o it_o thus_o must_v he_o be_v diligent_a in_o season_n and_o out_o of_o season_n for_o the_o least_o negligence_n in_o his_o duty_n or_o omit_v the_o least_o opportunity_n of_o do_v good_a will_v when_o god_n visit_v his_o conscience_n be_v a_o burden_n comfort_n to_o his_o poor_a soul_n to_o have_v be_v tell_v thou_o shall_v have_v a_o more_o eloquent_a tongue_n and_o a_o more_o powerful_a speech_n thou_o shall_v have_v better_a access_n to_o the_o court_n &_o audience_n before_o the_o king_n all_o these_o and_o all_o such_o like_a will_v have_v be_v no_o better_a than_o guide_v poison_n unto_o he_o be_v in_o this_o case_n but_o the_o happy_a answer_n that_o refresh_v his_o weary_a soul_n more_o than_o all_o the_o world_n be_v this_o loe_o thy_o iniquity_n be_v forgive_v and_o thy_o sin_n purge_v all_o faithful_a minister_n must_v here_o conscience_n learn_v the_o true_a way_n of_o comfort_v trouble_v and_o distress_a conscience_n namely_o first_o to_o draw_v he_o unto_o a_o sight_n of_o some_o particular_a sin_n then_o to_o summon_v he_o into_o god_n presence_n and_o there_o to_o arraign_v he_o for_o those_o sin_n until_o the_o view_n of_o the_o foulness_n of_o his_o sin_n and_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n justice_n have_v sufficient_o humble_v he_o and_o then_o to_o labour_v to_o persuade_v his_o conscience_n upon_o good_a ground_n of_o the_o pardon_n of_o those_o sin_n by_o christ_n jesus_n this_o be_v the_o way_n that_o god_n use_v and_o devise_v this_o be_v the_o sure_a way_n that_o can_v fail_v some_o think_v that_o all_o trouble_n of_o mind_n be_v nothing_o but_o melancholy_a and_o therefore_o psalm_n think_v nothing_o needs_o but_o physic_n and_o outward_a comfort_n but_o he_o that_o consider_v in_o what_o case_n the_o prophet_n here_o be_v or_o david_n when_o he_o make_v the_o 6._o the_o 32._o or_o the_o 51._o psalm_n will_v be_v of_o another_o mind_n and_o will_v find_v that_o nothing_o can_v proper_o trouble_v the_o mind_n but_o sin_n therefore_o as_o the_o wise_a physician_n in_o his_o cure_n first_o search_v out_o the_o cause_n and_o then_o endeavour_n to_o take_v it_o away_o so_o the_o good_a physician_n of_o the_o soul_n must_v first_o of_o all_o search_n into_o the_o cause_n of_o his_o sickness_n that_o be_v his_o sin_n and_o must_v take_v they_o away_o which_o if_o they_o do_v not_o than_o all_o their_o labour_n be_v lose_v for_o all_o the_o company_n music_n recreation_n wine_n diet_n nay_o all_o worldly_a comfort_n &_o delight_n if_o it_o be_v the_o advancement_n to_o a_o kingdom_n can_v so_o much_o comfort_v the_o distress_a soul_n of_o a_o sinner_n as_o this_o voice_n of_o a_o minister_n speak_v from_o god_n upon_o good_a ground_n thy_o sin_n be_v forgive_v thou_o now_o to_o lay_v down_o what_o be_v those_o true_a and_o good_a ground_n whereupon_o a_o minister_n may_v conscience_n safe_o and_o comfortable_o pronounce_v pardon_n of_o sin_n to_o a_o sinner_n belong_v proper_o to_o another_o place_n in_o the_o next_o place_n let_v we_o here_o observe_v repent_v how_o the_o lord_n afore_o he_o renew_v the_o prophet_n commission_n or_o send_v he_o to_o preach_v to_o the_o people_n first_o humble_v he_o for_o his_o sin_n and_o then_o upon_o his_o repentance_n give_v he_o pardon_v teach_v we_o that_o no_o minister_n be_v well_o qualify_v to_o the_o holy_a duty_n of_o the_o ministry_n unless_o he_o have_v true_o repent_v of_o his_o sin_n and_o have_v obtain_v pardon_n and_o mercy_n in_o the_o messiah_n minister_n labour_n for_o qualification_n but_o the_o true_a minister_n of_o god_n will_v labour_v for_o this_o qualification_n above_o all_o other_o for_o doubtless_o he_o shall_v pronounce_v most_o powerful_o the_o pardon_n of_o sin_n to_o other_o to_o who_o conscience_n god_n have_v pronounce_v pardon_n of_o his_o own_o in_o the_o last_o place_n let_v we_o observe_v how_o the_o prophet_n be_v to_o be_v comfort_v before_o they_o he_o go_v this_o new_a embassage_n the_o lord_n be_v so_o careful_a for_o he_o that_o rather_o than_o he_o be_v not_o comfort_v if_o there_o be_v no_o man_n to_o do_v it_o a_o angel_n shall_v be_v send_v to_o be_v his_o comforter_n &_o if_o there_o be_v not_o another_o prophet_n to_o do_v it_o a_o angel_n shall_v pronounce_v unto_o he_o the_o pardon_n of_o his_o sin_n let_v this_o be_v a_o
