in_o any_o common_a danger_n must_v more_o earnest_o be_v humble_v then_o any_o other_o again_o see_v he_o call_v for_o such_o sorrow_n and_o such_o continuance_n thereof_o he_o thereby_o note_v that_o if_o god_n be_v once_o angry_a we_o must_v use_v all_o mean_n that_o can_v be_v find_v to_o appease_v he_o though_o it_o cost_v our_o sweet_a health_n and_o our_o dear_a blood_n but_o i_o will_v special_o misery_n observe_v this_o doctrine_n that_o all_o both_o minister_n and_o people_n when_o they_o come_v to_o entreat_v for_o the_o remove_n of_o the_o lord_n hand_n must_v be_v sure_a that_o they_o be_v thorough_o humble_v nehem._n 1._o 4._o their_o cause_n must_v be_v well_o ponder_v and_o weigh_v their_o mind_n must_v be_v well_o prepare_v and_o persuade_v their_o life_n must_v be_v most_o zealous_o reform_v and_o their_o continuance_n in_o their_o humiliation_n must_v be_v most_o instant_o and_o inviolable_o observe_v i_o have_v observe_v a_o great_a defect_n in_o the_o humiliation_n of_o many_o in_o the_o time_n of_o our_o late_a calamity_n of_o famine_n and_o war_n and_o plague_n when_o we_o be_v cast_v down_o before_o the_o lord_n for_o man_n will_v come_v to_o these_o exercise_n from_o tavern_n and_o alehouse_n from_o shop_n &_o other_o business_n no_o otherwise_o prepare_v then_o at_o another_o common_a time_n again_o the_o note_n of_o their_o pride_n in_o apparel_n and_o all_o bravery_n &_o fond_a expense_n they_o bring_v with_o they_o and_o come_v more_o like_a player_n than_o mourner_n into_o the_o lord_n house_n and_o also_o they_o be_v quick_o weary_a for_o some_o will_v never_o tarry_v till_o the_o end_n and_o other_o if_o they_o once_o come_v they_o never_o come_v more_o and_o sure_o these_o be_v too_o evident_a sign_n that_o we_o be_v not_o thorough_o humble_v and_o therefore_o no_o marvel_n though_o the_o plague_n prevail_v on_o so_o many_o and_o the_o famine_n have_v continue_v so_o long_o oh_o that_o therefore_o this_o exhortation_n of_o the_o prophet_n may_v work_v a_o new_a and_o often_o remembrance_n of_o unfeigned_a humility_n
that_o they_o may_v know_v that_o as_o none_o but_o god_n can_v be_v the_o author_n of_o these_o so_o none_o but_o his_o majesty_n can_v be_v the_o sender_n of_o they_o these_o heavenly_a sign_n or_o but_o rather_o it_o make_v for_o his_o glory_n for_o he_o must_v judge_v the_o world_n in_o righteousness_n another_o reason_n be_v because_o by_o this_o 2_o mean_v the_o lord_n do_v most_o earnest_o affect_v good_a man_n heart_n and_o afflict_v the_o wicked_a ezech._n 32._o 9_o for_o the_o sight_n of_o terrible_a sign_n can_v choose_v but_o move_v the_o brute_n beast_n of_o the_o earth_n much_o more_o reasonable_a man_n who_o be_v more_o give_v to_o fear_n because_o they_o be_v more_o give_v to_o sin_n and_o our_o saviour_n say_v in_o the_o gospel_n that_o man_n heart_n shall_v fail_v they_o because_o of_o the_o sign_n of_o heaven_n the_o use_n be_v these_o 1_o first_o let_v we_o not_o be_v superstitious_a or_o heathenish_a in_o fear_v the_o sign_n of_o heaven_n above_o the_o rule_n of_o 17._o because_o they_o dress_v not_o their_o wound_n and_o show_v not_o their_o sin_n that_o lie_v secret_a in_o their_o soul_n the_o which_o account_n be_v now_o a_o day_n little_o regard_v of_o many_o minister_n '_o and_o less_o of_o many_o people_n one_o care_v not_o for_o their_o sin_n and_o the_o other_o regard_v not_o their_o soul_n but_o the_o more_o they_o be_v the_o more_o be_v the_o shall_v signify_v the_o execution_n thereof_o by_o the_o former_a word_n and_o by_o these_o we_o will_v observe_v that_o the_o wicked_a shall_v be_v draw_v to_o judgement_n whether_o they_o will_v judgement_n or_o not_o luke_n 23._o 30._o for_o god_n will_v gather_v they_o into_o the_o valley_n of_o judgement_n as_o there_o be_v no_o force_n in_o the_o corn_n to_o resist_v the_o reaper_n so_o
