they_o shall_v deliver_v but_o their_o own_o soul_n by_o their_o righteousness_n say_v the_o lord_n god_n by_o these_o place_n we_o may_v see_v that_o it_o be_v very_o great_a vanity_n to_o pretend_v to_o deliver_v the_o soul_n of_o man_n in_o another_o world_n see_v such_o pious_a and_o holy_a man_n and_o such_o favourite_n of_o god_n be_v not_o able_a to_o effect_v any_o such_o deliverance_n in_o this_o world_n and_o the_o apostle_n tell_v we_o plain_o that_o every_o one_o shall_v bear_v his_o own_o burden_n gal._n 6.5_o but_o to_o be_v deliver_v by_o the_o service_n of_o other_o be_v not_o to_o bear_v one_o own_o burden_n we_o may_v see_v that_o prayer_n and_o mass_n and_o absolution_n for_o the_o dead_a be_v very_o vain_a and_o that_o it_o be_v not_o our_o duty_n to_o pray_v for_o they_o 4._o we_o may_v see_v that_o all_o man_n be_v reduce_v to_o two_o sort_n viz._n the_o righteous_a and_o the_o wicked_a that_o there_o be_v but_o two_o way_n for_o they_o to_o go_v to_o happiness_n and_o to_o misery_n that_o the_o righteous_a enter_v into_o a_o state_n of_o happiness_n upon_o their_o departure_n hence_o and_o go_v not_o into_o torment_n and_o punishment_n and_o that_o the_o wicked_a enter_v into_o a_o state_n of_o misery_n and_o be_v never_o like_a to_o be_v release_v out_o of_o it_o and_o therefore_o that_o there_o be_v no_o such_o place_n as_o purgatory_n where_o man_n shall_v be_v torment_v for_o a_o time_n and_o afterward_o release_v from_o it_o the_o sacred_a scripture_n do_v all_o along_o rank_a man_n into_o these_o two_o sort_n of_o righteous_a and_o wicked_a though_o sometime_o by_o other_o name_n as_o the_o evil_a and_o the_o good_a the_o just_a and_o the_o unjust_a the_o saint_n and_o the_o sinner_n the_o child_n of_o god_n and_o the_o child_n of_o the_o wicked_a one_o believer_n and_o infidel_n etc._n etc._n under_o these_o two_o sort_n do_v our_o bless_a lord_n comprehend_v all_o man_n matt._n 5.45_o that_o you_o may_v be_v the_o child_n of_o your_o father_n which_o be_v in_o heaven_n for_o he_o make_v his_o sun_n to_o rise_v on_o the_o evil_a and_o on_o the_o good_a and_o send_v rain_n on_o the_o just_a and_o on_o the_o unjust_a that_o be_v upon_o all_o man_n and_o so_o matt._n 13.49_o and_o 25.33_o we_o may_v see_v also_o that_o there_o be_v but_o two_o state_n of_o life_n which_o man_n be_v to_o enter_v into_o after_o death_n the_o one_o of_o joy_n and_o happiness_n the_o other_o of_o sorrow_n and_o misery_n matth._n 7.13_o say_v our_o lord_n enter_v you_o in_o at_o the_o strait_a gate_n for_o wide_a be_v the_o gate_n and_o broad_a be_v the_o way_n which_o lead_v to_o destruction_n and_o many_o there_o be_v which_o go_v in_o there_o at_o because_o straight_o be_v the_o gate_n and_o narrow_a be_v the_o way_n which_o lead_v unto_o life_n and_o few_o there_o be_v that_o find_v it_o and_o matt._n 18.8_o wherefore_o if_o thy_o hand_n or_o thy_o foot_n offend_v thou_o cut_v they_o off_o and_o cast_v and_o to_o this_o effect_n mar._n 9.43_o and_o again_o matt._n 25.21_o 46._o in_o all_o these_o and_o the_o like_a place_n we_o see_v that_o there_o be_v only_o two_o place_n and_o state_n for_o man_n to_o enter_v into_o after_o death_n the_o one_o of_o joy_n and_o happiness_n the_o other_o of_o torment_n and_o misery_n and_o that_o all_o man_n be_v like_a to_o enter_v into_o one_o of_o these_o two_o state_n of_o life_n and_o that_o there_o be_v no_o three_o state_n and_o condition_n for_o they_o to_o enter_v into_o again_o we_o may_v see_v that_o the_o righteous_a and_o just_a after_o their_o departure_n hence_o do_v enter_v into_o a_o state_n of_o joy_n and_o happiness_n and_o therefore_o that_o they_o be_v not_o torment_v in_o purgatory_n they_o enter_v then_o into_o rest_n as_o i_o have_v show_v before_o and_o therefore_o not_o into_o purgatory_n and_o of_o lazarus_n in_o the_o parable_n it_o be_v say_v that_o he_o be_v carry_v present_o after_o death_n into_o abraham_n bosom_n luk._n 16.22_o and_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o the_o beggar_n die_v and_o be_v carry_v by_o the_o angel_n into_o abraham_n bosom_n and_o we_o may_v be_v sure_a that_o abraham_n the_o friend_n of_o god_n be_v not_o in_o purgatory_n and_o torment_n and_o this_o place_n show_v as_o much_o because_o the_o rich_a man_n go_v to_o a_o quite_o different_a state_n to_o hell_n and_o torment_n and_o lazarus_n condition_n be_v oppose_v to_o he_o and_o he_o be_v say_v to_o be_v comfort_v and_o therefore_o certain_o not_o in_o misery_n and_o torment_n ver_fw-la 25._o but_o abraham_n say_v son_n remember_v that_o thou_o in_o thy_o life_n time_n receive_v thy_o good_a thing_n and_o likewise_o lazarus_n evil_a thing_n but_o now_o he_o be_v comfort_v and_o thou_o be_v torment_v here_o we_o see_v in_o this_o parable_n that_o lazarus_n be_v carry_v straight_o away_o after_o death_n into_o abraham_n bosom_n into_o a_o place_n of_o comfort_n and_o joy_n and_o that_o he_o go_v not_o into_o any_o such_o place_n as_o purgatory_n and_o hereby_o be_v we_o instruct_v that_o all_o righteous_a man_n shall_v be_v convey_v as_o soon_o as_o they_o be_v dead_a to_o a_o place_n of_o comfort_n and_o joy_n and_o our_o bless_a lord_n commend_v his_o spirit_n into_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n the_o father_n when_o
