commendation_n but_o wherefore_o do_v not_o our_o saviour_n grant_v her_o petition_n at_o the_o first_o hear_n sure_o not_o that_o he_o grudge_v she_o her_o suit_n or_o be_v loath_a to_o entertain_v when_o they_o cease_v to_o believe_v and_o to_o be_v his_o sheep_n they_o do_v not_o appertain_v unto_o he_o for_o they_o only_o remain_v the_o disciple_n of_o christ_n who_o abide_v in_o his_o word_n and_o have_v his_o word_n abide_v in_o they_o joh._n 8_o 31._o 15.7_o joh._n 8.31_o and_o 15.7_o and_o 15.7_o to_o which_o i_o answer_v that_o this_o be_v a_o idle_a trifle_n in_o a_o circular_a disputation_n and_o a_o vain_a beg_n of_o the_o question_n in_o controversy_n for_o the_o question_n be_v whether_o the_o faithful_a may_v be_v assure_v of_o their_o perseverance_n in_o faith_n whether_o a_o member_n of_o christ_n may_v be_v assure_v to_o continue_v a_o member_n of_o christ_n whether_o a_o sheep_n of_o christ_n may_v assure_v himself_o that_o he_o be_v to_o remain_v for_o ever_o a_o sheep_n of_o christ_n we_o hold_v the_o affirmative_a part_n and_o prove_v it_o by_o diverse_a testimony_n they_o deny_v that_o these_o promise_n be_v absolute_a but_o on_o this_o condition_n that_o we_o be_v assure_v none_o can_v pluck_v we_o from_o christ_n so_o long_o as_o we_o continue_v and_o retain_v the_o nature_n of_o the_o member_n and_o sheep_n of_o christ_n but_o i_o will_v fain_o know_v what_o it_o be_v to_o be_v pluck_v from_o christ_n but_o to_o cease_v to_o be_v a_o member_n or_o sheep_n of_o christ_n and_o to_o loose_v their_o nature_n and_o what_o it_o be_v to_o be_v a_o sheep_n of_o christ_n but_o to_o hear_v his_o word_n and_o to_o follow_v he_o when_o as_o then_o our_o saviour_n christ_n promise_v that_o none_o shall_v pluck_v his_o sheep_n from_o he_o he_o promise_v that_o none_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o make_v they_o cease_v to_o be_v his_o sheep_n nor_o deprive_v they_o of_o their_o nature_n which_o be_v the_o essential_a form_n which_o make_v they_o to_o be_v sheep_n rather_o than_o other_o who_o neither_o hear_v his_o word_n nor_o follow_v he_o whereas_o therefore_o they_o affirm_v that_o these_o promise_n do_v assure_v we_o to_o persevere_v so_o long_o as_o we_o continue_v and_o retain_v the_o nature_n of_o the_o sheep_n and_o member_n of_o christ_n what_o be_v it_o but_o idle_o to_o repeat_v the_o same_o thing_n namely_o that_o god_n promise_n do_v assure_v we_o to_o persevere_v so_o long_o as_o we_o do_v persevere_v that_o we_o shall_v not_o be_v pluck_v from_o christ_n so_o long_o as_o we_o remain_v with_o christ_n that_o we_o shall_v continue_v the_o member_n and_o sheep_n of_o christ_n so_o long_o as_o we_o continue_v to_o be_v his_o sheep_n and_o member_n that_o we_o shall_v not_o loose_v our_o faith_n so_o long_o as_o we_o continue_v faithful_a and_o what_o be_v it_o to_o say_v that_o the_o sheep_n of_o christ_n shall_v so_o long_o continue_v to_o be_v his_o sheep_n as_o they_o retain_v their_o nature_n but_o to_o grant_v also_o that_o they_o may_v loose_v their_o nature_n &_o consequent_o cease_v to_o be_v christ_n sheep_n and_o so_o be_v pluck_v from_o he_o which_o be_v quite_o contrary_a to_o his_o
