mercy_n that_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o for_o we_o to_o have_v some_o light_a taste_n of_o god_n mercy_n in_o christ_n for_o the_o pardon_n of_o our_o sin_n but_o we_o must_v labour_v to_o have_v it_o in_o a_o plentiful_a measure_n to_o be_v fill_v with_o the_o fullness_n of_o god_n and_o the_o feel_n of_o his_o love_n the_o lord_n be_v a_o bottomless_a sea_n of_o mercy_n able_a to_o fill_v every_o soul_n that_o come_v unto_o he_o but_o we_o be_v like_o a_o vessel_n that_o have_v a_o narrow_a neck_n which_o if_o it_o be_v cast_v into_o the_o sea_n yet_o be_v not_o quick_o fill_v but_o by_o degree_n even_o so_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n be_v as_o the_o bottomless_a sea_n able_a to_o fill_v every_o soul_n that_o hunger_n and_o thirst_v after_o mercy_n whence_o then_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o we_o be_v not_o fill_v with_o mercy_n sure_o in_o ourselves_o our_o faith_n which_o be_v the_o mouth_n of_o the_o soul_n be_v so_o narrow_a that_o though_o the_o lord_n be_v able_a and_o willing_a to_o pour_v his_o grace_n and_o mercy_n into_o our_o soul_n yet_o we_o can_v receive_v but_o drop_v after_o drop_n one_o drop_n after_o another_o and_o hence_o it_o be_v that_o in_o a_o of_o faith_n and_o other_o grace_n content_v themselves_o and_o think_v they_o have_v enough_o but_o this_o ought_v not_o to_o be_v if_o ever_o thou_o have_v any_o true_a taste_n of_o god_n mercy_n in_o christ_n it_o will_v make_v thou_o hunger_n and_o thirst_n after_o more_o and_o therefore_o the_o apostle_n exhort_v 1.2_o 2_o pet._n 1.2_o that_o as_o new_a bear_v babe_n we_o shall_v desire_v they_o long_v for_o and_o such_o a_o soul_n think_v every_o hour_n ten_o and_o every_o day_n a_o year_n till_o they_o be_v refresh_v with_o god_n mercy_n all_o delay_n to_o such_o distress_a soul_n be_v death_n itself_o hear_v i_o speedy_o o_o lord_n say_v david_n my_o spirit_n fail_v hide_v not_o thy_o face_n from_o i_o lest_o i_o be_v like_a unto_o they_o that_o go_v down_o into_o the_o â—it_n may_v fare_v well_o with_o the_o church_n of_o god_n after_o they_o and_o that_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n make_v unto_o their_o forefather_n abraham_n izaac_n and_o jacob_n may_v not_o be_v frustrate_a but_o the_o lord_n will_v give_v they_o and_o their_o posterity_n after_o they_o the_o land_n of_o canaan_n to_o inherit_v let_v thy_o work_n appear_v sing_v moses_n and_o the_o people_n and_o omnipotent_a god_n that_o be_v able_a and_o ready_a to_o help_v we_o see_v all_o protection_n be_v from_o god_n use_v 2_o it_o be_v his_o work_n to_o save_v this_o may_v serve_v to_o stay_v we_o at_o this_o day_n now_o that_o the_o church_n and_o house_n of_o god_n have_v many_o ruin_n and_o breach_n on_o it_o rent_n and_o tear_v in_o piece_n by_o many_o unnatural_a brethren_n that_o have_v of_o late_o endeavour_v to_o divide_v the_o seamlesse_a coat_n of_o christ_n by_o sect_n &_o schism_n faction_n and_o fraction_n the_o like_a whereof_o be_v never_o see_v in_o the_o day_n of_o our_o forefather_n since_o the_o time_n of_o reformation_n sad_a presage_n of_o fearful_a time_n if_o the_o lord_n speedy_o put_v not_o to_o his_o hand_n and_o work_v sure_a reformation_n yet_o here_o be_v our_o hope_n and_o here_o be_v our_o stay_n that_o we_o have_v a_o god_n to_o fly_v unto_o and_o it_o be_v he_o that_o must_v purge_v his_o house_n and_o protect_v his_o church_n o_o this_o be_v a_o at_o last_o return_n unto_o he_o and_o seek_v for_o protection_n safety_n and_o deliverance_n reformation_n and_o salvation_n at_o his_o hand_n and_o entreat_v the_o lord_n and_o say_v let_v thy_o work_n appear_v to_o thy_o servant_n and_o that_o he_o will_v take_v the_o cause_n of_o his_o poor_a church_n religion_n and_o gospel_n into_o his_o own_o hand_n and_o become_v our_o mighty_a protector_n see_v all_o safety_n and_o protection_n come_v from_o god_n use_v 3_o this_o show_n to_o who_o we_o be_v bind_v for_o safety_n and_o protection_n from_o all_o our_o trouble_n and_o
