LVII BE mercifull to me O GOD be mercifull to me For my soul in my troubles great doth alwayes trust in thee Yea in the shadow of thy wings I my refuge at last Will make till those calamities be wholly overpast verse 2 I unto God that is most high with all my heart will cry Unto God that all things for me performeth by and by verse 3 From heav'n he shal send me save from his reproach in end That me would swallow God his truth and mercy foorth shal send verse 4 My troubled soul is still among fierce Lions full of ire And I among them alwayes lie that still are set on fire Ev'n the most cruell sons of men whose teeth me for to wrong Are piercing spears and arrows al 's a sharp sword is their tongue verse 5 Be thou above the heav'ns O Goâ— exalted ever hie And also all the earth above let thy great glory be verse 6 They for my steps a net prepar'd my soul is bow'd with all For me they dig'd a pit but in the midst thereof did fall verse 7 My heart O God fast fixed is my heart in all my wayes Fast fixed is I will both sing and give due praise alwayes verse 8 Awake my glorie up with speed and Psaltrie mirth to make Awake my Harp yea I my self will earely now awake verse 9 I will thee praise O Lord alwayâ—â— the people all among To thee among the nations all I will now sing a song verse 10 For thy mercie is great unto the heav'ns which none can search Thy truth also most gloriously unto the clouds doth reach verse 11 Be thou exalted LORD above the heav'ns that are most hie And likewise above all the earth let still thy glory be PSAL. LVIII O Congregation do ye still speak righteousnesse indeed O sons of men do ye to judge still uprightly proceed verse 2 Yea in your heart great wickednesse you work in every way And of your hands here in the earth the violence you weigh verse 3 The wicked are ev'n from the womb estrang'd before our eyes They go astray assoone as they be born still speaking lyes verse 4 Most like a serpents poison is the poison that they bear They are even like the adder deaf that stoppeth fast his ear verse 5 Which to the voice of charmers not hearken readilie Though never so wisely they appear in charming for to be verse 6 Break thou O God now in thâ— moâ— their teeth both sharp and stronâ— O Lord the great teeth now break â— of Lions that are yong verse 7 As waters run continuallie so let them melt and fall When as he bends his bow to shooâ— cut them in pieces small verse 8 As melts a snail let ev'ry one of them consumed be Like the untimely birth that they the sun may never see verse 9 Before your pots can feel the thoâ— he shall them all by death As with a whirle wind take away both living and in wrath verse 10 The righteous shal rejoice when thus sees the vengeance meet He in the blood of wicked men shall surely wash his feet verse 11 So verilie a man shall say the just rewarded be Yea verily who in the earth doth judge a God is he PSAL. LIX ME from mine enmies O my God deliver by good will Defend me safely from them that rise up against me still verse 2 From workers of iniquitie deliver me I crave And also by thy mighty arme from bloody men me save verse 3 For lo they for my soul do wait the mighty gathred be Against me Lord not for my fault or any sin in me verse 4 They run and al 's prepare themselves without my fault most bold Awake in time me for to help and also to behold verse 5 LORD GOD of hosts thou Isra'ls awake to visit still The heathen be not mercifull unto transgressours ill verse 6 They at the evening time return they make a noise and sound Most like a dog and thus they goe about the citie round verse 7 Behold they with their filthy mâ— belch out without all feare Sharpe swords are also in their lipâ— for who say they doth heare â— verse 8 But thou O LORD shalt surely â— at them both great and small Thou also in derision shalt have still the heathen all verse 9 Because of his great power streâ— I with great confidence Will wait upon thee ever still for GOD is my defence verse 10 Of my mercy the GOD me shall prevent as I require GOD shall upon mine enmies all let me see my desire verse 11 Not slay them lest my folk forget them who refuse to yeeld By thy might scatter and bring down O LORD our only shield verse 12 For the sin of their vile mouth and words of their lips not meek Let them be taken in their pride who cursing lying speak verse 14 In wrath consume them them consume that they no more may be That God in Jacob rules unto the earths ends let them see
verse 14 At evening still let them return and make a noise and sound Most like a barking dog and go about the city round verse 15 Let them all wander up and down in hunger for their meat And grudge if they not satisfied be with the thing they eat verse 16 But of thy mercy and thy powâ— at morning sing I will For my defence thou and refuge hast been in trouble still verse 17 Unto thee O my strength wiâ— now gladly sing for this For God he my defence and God ev'n of my mercy is PSAL. LX. O God thou hast now cast us of and scatt'red with disdaine Displeasd thou hast been O now tâ— thy self to us againe verse 2 The earth to tremble thou hast â— thou hast it broken small The breaches there of heal thou â— for it ev'n shaketh all verse 3 Thou hast unto thy people shew things that be hard to think Of great astonishment the wine thou hast us made to drink verse 4 Thou hast a banner to them give that with their heart thee fear That it because ev'n of the truth may be displayed heer verse 5 That thy beloved may be so delivred by and by Save thou my soul with thy right hand and hear me when I cry verse 6 GOD in his Holinesse hath said I joyfull will abide I Succoths valley will met out and Sechem will divide verse 7 Gilead is mine and Manasse is mine al 's of mine head Ephraim is the strength Judah my law giver indeed verse 8 My washpot Moab is I will my shoe ov'r Edom cast Philistia proud triumph thou now because of me at last verse 9 Who by his strength will well me bring unto the citie strong And who to Edoms fertile land will now me lead along verse 10 Wilt thou not O God which us â— ev'n cast off as a foe And thou O God which didst not out with our armies go verse 11 From trouble give us help for mans help is vaine in all verse 12 Through God wee shal do valiâ— our foes tread down he shall PSAL. LXI MY cry O God hear and untâ— my prayer now attend verse 2 I unto thee will surely cry from the earths fairest end When my heart overwhelmed iâ— lead thou me by and by Most safely ev'n unto the rock that higher is then I. verse 3 For thou still in thy goodnesse hast ever been for me A shelter and a tower most strong even from the enemie verse 4 Within thy Tabernacle I abide will ever still In the safe covert of thy wings now alwayes trust I will verse 5 For thou O God unto my vows inclined hast thine ear Thou hast given me the heritage of those thy Name that fear verse 6 Thou by thy love and saving grace the kings life wilt prolong As many generations last so shall his years be long verse 7 For ever he before our GOD abide shall and him serve O mercy both and truth prepare which may him well preserve verse 8 So will I sing unto thy Name praise in a godly forme For ever that to thee my vows I daily may performe PSAL. LXII MY soul alwayes doth truely wait on GOD the holy One Because that my salvation all doth come from him alone verse 2 He only my salvation is and rock that is most hie He 's my defence I shall therefore not greatly moved be verse 3 How long mischief against a maâ— imagine thus will ye Ye slain all as a bowing wall and tottring fence shall be verse 4 They still consult to cast him do from his excellency They love false lies with mouth blâ— but they curse inwardly verse 5 O thou my soul with patience wait only God upon For all my expectation is from him my LORD alone verse 6 He onely my salvation is and rock most strong is he He also is my sure defence I shall not moved be verse 7 My glory and salvation al 's is in my God and Judge In God is the rock of my strength and my most sure refuge verse 8 At all times put your trust in him ye people him before Powre out your heart God a refuge is for us evermore verse 9 Of low degree men are most vaine men high are but a lye Laid in a ballance they are all more light then vanity verse 10 Trust not into oppression nor in robb'rie vain have part If that your richesse doe increase set not on them your heart verse 11 God hath once spoken twice I have this clearly heard abroad That power in great excellency belongeth unto God verse 12 Great mercy also doth belong to thee O Lord alone For thou according to his work dost render to each one PSALME LXIII O God thou art my God alone thee early seek I will My soul in great affliction ev'n thirsteth for thee still My flesh also now weari'd much doth alwayes long for thee In this a dry and thirstie land even where no waters be verse 2 To see thy glory and thy power which ever great hath been So as I in the Sanctuary have thee most clearly seen verse 3 Because thy loving kindnesse is more dear then life to me My lips shall still in chearfull songs sing praises unto thee verse 4 Thus while I live here on the eartâ— thee surely blesse I will I in thy name alwayes my hands will lift up to thee still verse 5 My soul shall as with marrow and with fatnesse filled be My mouth also with joyfull lips due praise shall sing to thee verse 6 When I laid down upon my bed remember thee aright And also on thee meditate in watches of the night verse 7 Because that thou hast ben my help therefore I ever still Ev'n in the shadow of thy wings rejoice most gladly will verse 8 My soul directed in thy wayes hard followeth after thee Thy right hand that is full of power alwayes upholdeth me verse 9 But those that seek for to destoy my soul by wicked arts Shall be pressd down and of the earth go to the lower parts verse 10 They shal ev'n by the bloody sword fall down as all shall see Unburi'd they for foxes teeth a portion then shall be verse 11 But in GOD shall the King rejoicâ— each one al 's glory shall That sweares by him but stopt shal be the mouth of lyars all PSAL. LXIV O GOD while I unto thee pray be pleasd my voice to hear Of th' enmie that most cruel is preserve my life from fear verse 2 Me from the secret counsell hide of those that wicked be From th' insurrection of the men that work iniquitie verse 3 Who whet their tongue with greaâ— despighâ— like sharp two edged swords And to shoot arrows bend their bows even their most bitter words verse 4 That they may shoot in secret at the man that 's perfect heere They suddenly do shoot at him and not at all do feare verse 5 Themselves they in a matter ill encourage privilie Of laying snares they commune still
on hie With fresh oil that most precious is I shall anointed be verse 11 Mine eye shall also my desire see of my foes in fear Of wicked men that ' gainst me rise mine ears my wish shall hear verse 12 The righteous like the pleasant palm anone well flourish shall He shall grow like in Lebanon a Cedar great and tall verse 13 Those that in the house of the Lord have planted their abode Shall flourish fair most constantly in the courts of our GOD. verse 14 They shall all still in their old age most pleasant fruit foorth bring In a most blessed state they shall be fat and flourishing verse 15 To shew that still the Lord remains upright to great and small He is my rock there 's not in him unrighteousnesse at all PSAL. XCIII THe Lord doth reigne he clothed is with Majestie throughout The LORD is cloth'd with strength wherwith he girds himself about The world also fast stablish'd is that it can not depart verse 2 Thy Throne of old is fix'd for thou from everlasting art verse 3 The floods have lifted up O LORD the flowing floods their voice Have lifted up the floods their waves lift up even with a noise verse 4 The Lord on high more mighty is then any noise can be Of waters great yea then the waves most mighty of the sea verse 5 Thy Testimonies of great worth are very sure together True holinesse thy house O LORD becometh still for ever PSAL. XCIV O LORD to whom vengeance for wroÌ„gs belongs ev'n as most due O GOD to whom vengeance belongs thy self now clearly shew verse 2 Lift up thy self thou of the earth the great Judge to regard Deservedly unto the proud now render a reward verse 3 Most mighty LORD how long shall they that alwayes wicked be How long shall wicked men on earth triumph so gloriouslie verse 4 How long shal those men utter thus and speak hard things so free And all those proudly boast themselves that worke iniquitie verse 5 LORD they in pieces break thy folk and heritage distresse verse 6 They widow and the stranger slay and murder fatherlesse verse 7 Yet they say in their foolishnesse the Lord this shall not see Nor by the God of Jacob shall it once regarded be verse 8 Among the people understand ye brutish and likewise Ye fools that nothing can conceive O when will ye be wise verse 9 Shall he that planted hath the ear not heare how all things be He that also the eye hath form'd shall he himself not see verse 10 He that the heathen doth chastise shall he not chastise now He that man knowledge teacheth still shall he himself not know verse 11 The Lord the thoghts of mortal man doth know most certainlie That in their greatest worth they are nothing but vanitie verse 12 Blest is the man O Lord whom thou by chastning keeps in aw And also clearely teachest him out of thy holie law verse 13 That thou may give him rest from dayeâ— of great adversitie Vntill that for the wicked man the pit deep digged be verse 14 For now the LORD his people aâ— will not cast off together Nor will hee his inheritance in wrath forsake for ever verse 15 But judgement unto righteousnesse returne most quicklie shall And those that be in heart upright shall it still follow all verse 16 Who up for me will rise against those that ill doers be Or who for me ' gainst those will stand that work iniquitie verse 17 Unlesse the Lord had been to mee a help as I have felt My soul with trouble vexed had almost in silence dwelt verse 18 When I said that my foot did slip thy mercy held me right verse 19 Thy comforts in my many thoughts do still my soul delight verse 20 Shall thus of great iniquitie the throne without all aw Have fellowship with thee Which frames mischief ev'n by a law verse 21 Themselves together gather they against the souls of men That righteous are and al 's the blood of innocent condemne verse 22 But yet the Lord still by his might is my defence alway And my GOD is the solid Rock of my refuge for ay verse 23 He on them their own sin shal bring and them cut off he shall In their own wickednesse our GOD shall cut them off in all PSAL. XCV O Come let us unto the Lord sing with a chearfull voice Let us to our salvations rock make a most joyfull noise verse 2 Let us before his presence come with thanksgiving and take Most pleasant Psalmes wherewith to him a joyfull noise now make verse 3 For GOD the Lord who mighty is a great GOD still doth prove And a great King in Majestie all other gods above verse 4 The places deep of all the earth are in his mighty hand The strength ev'n of the hills also is his in all the land verse 5 The spacious sea is his likewise and he it made in forme His hands al 's full of Majestie the dry land all did forme verse 6 O come now let us worship and bow down with one accord And let us humbly kneel before our maker even the Lord. verse 7 For he 's our God the people we are of his pasture choise And of his hand the sheep to day if yee will hear his voice verse 8 As in the provocation great not harden more or lesse Your hearts as in the day they him did tempt in wildernesse verse 9 When your ill fathers foolishly me tempted without aw And by their sins there did me prove my work they also saw verse 10 Long fourtie yeers I greeved was with this ill race alwayes And said this people ers in heart and have not known my wayes verse 11 To whom solemnly in my wrath I swearing did protest That they a wicked race should not once enter in my rest PSAL. XCVI O Sing a new song heartilie unto the Lord with mirth Unto the Lord most chearefully now sing yee all the earth verse 2 Unto the Lord sing chearefully and blesse his Name alway And his salvation constantly shew forth from day to day verse 3 His glory still declare among the heathen great and small His wonders also make ye known among the people all verse 4 For certainely the Lord is great and greatlie he for this â—s to be prais'd above all GODS he to be feared is For all the gods of Nations vaine still naughty idols prove But by his mighty hand the Lord hath made the heav'ns above verse 6 High honour and great Majestie are ever him before â—trength beautie in his Sanctuarie are ever still in store verse 7 Ye kindreds of the people all give to the LORD at length Unto the LORD that mighty is both glory give and strength verse 8 Unto the Lord the glorie give which to his Name is due And come ye now into his courts ane offring bring with you In the beautie of holinesse O the Lord still adore â—t all th'ind
wellers of the earth fear like wise him before verse 10 That GOD doth reigne to heathes say the world unmov'd shall be Establish'd and still righteouslie the people judge shall he verse 11 Let all the heav'ns above rejoice and let for evermore The earth be glad and let the sea with all its fulnesse roare verse 12 Let all the field be joyfull still and all that is therein Then shall the trees of all the wood for to rejoice begin verse 13 Before God for he comes he comes the earth to judge he shall Stil judge the world with righteousnes with truth his people all PSAL. XCVII THe Lord doth reigne let all the earth now to rejoice be made And let the multitude of Isles thereof be alwayes glad verse 2 With darknesse clouds are him about judgement and righteousnesse Are the fair habitation of his throne of holinesse verse 3 A kindled fire goes him before most brightly shining out And up his wicked enmies all it burneth round about verse 4 His lightnings which doe brightly shine the world both far and neer Inlightned all the earth them saw and trembled all for fear verse 5 At GODS presence the hills like wax did melt and fall anone Even at the presence of the LORD who rules the earth alone verse 6 The heav'ns above his righteousnes most clearly do declare And all the people of the earth still see his glory rare verse 7 Who graven images do serve let them confounded be And who themselves of idols boast all gods him worship ye verse 8 It Sion heard and was most glâ—â— and al 's with one accord Then Judahs daughters did rejoice for thy judgements O LORD verse 9 For thou Lord high above all aâ—â— that on the earth now be Thou art exalted far above all gods in majestie verse 10 Hate ill all ye that love the 〈◊〉 his Saints souls in the land He doth preserve he saveth them out of the wickeds hand verse 11 For all those that now righteouâ— is sown a joyfull light And gladnesse also for all those that are in heart upright verse 12 Ye righteous in the Lord rejoiâ— and give without delay Due thanks at the remembrance â— his Holinesse alway PSAL. XCVIII O Sing a new song to the LORD who hath done wonders great His right hand and his holy arme him victory did get verse 2 The Lord hath in his mercy great made his salvation known In heathens sight his righteousnesse he openlie hath shown verse 3 His mercy he remembred hath and truth to Israel The ends of all the earth have seen our GODS salvation well verse 4 O all the earth unto the LORD a joyfull noise now raise Yea make a loud noise and rejoice and gladly all sing praise verse 5 Unto the Lord now with the harp sing sweetly and rejoice Yea with the harp and also with a psalme in pleasant voice verse 6 With trumpets that most pleasant are the sound of cornets bring Together make a joyfull noise before the Lord the King verse 7 Al 's with its fulnesse let the sea most gladly roar and swell The world likewise that is most large and they that therein dwell verse 8 Now let the floods al clap their hands let hils rejoice together verse 9 Before the Lord for he doth come to judge the earth for ever With righteousnesse the world he shall judge as all men shall see And all the people of the earth also with equitie PSAL. XCIX THe Lord doth reign let trembling fear the people make to quake He sits between the Cherubims now let the earth all shake verse 2 The LORD is great in Zion and all people high above verse 3 Let them thy great dreadful name praise which doth holy prove verse 4 The kings strength also judgement loves thou setlest equity Thou right and judgement execut'st in Jacob constantly verse 5 The LORD our GOD with all your heart with praise exalt on hie And at his footstool worship low for holy still is He. verse 6 Moses and Aaron with his priests ' mongst them that on him call Was Samuel they call'd on the LORD and he them answerd all verse 7 He in the cloudy pillar spake to them they keeped have His testimonies and likewise the ord'nance he them gave verse 8 Thou answerdst them O Lord our God a God that them forgave Though thou of their inventions didst a heavy vengeance crave verse 9 With praise exalt the Lord our God and at his holy hill Him humbly worship for the LORD our GOD is holy still PSALME C. A Joyfull noise unto the LORD ye lands make more and more verse 2 Serve GOD with gladnes yea with songs his presence come before verse 3 Know that the Lord is God it 's he not we that made us heer We are his people and the sheep even of his pasture dear verse 4 With thanksgiving enter his gates and in his courts proclame His praise be thankfull unto him and blesse his holy Name verse 5 For GOD is good his mercy great is everlasting sure And to all generations al 's his truth doth still endure PSAL. I 'Le of Mercy and Judgement sing to thee LORD sing I will verse 2 I in a perfect way my self behave will wisely still O when wilt thou come unto me I will every part Within my house religiouslie walk with a perfect heart verse 3 No wicked thing I will at all once set before mine eye I hate their work that turn aside it shall not cleave to me verse 4 A froward heart that fears not God shall soon from me depart I will not al 's a person know that wicked is in heart verse 5 Him who his neighbour privily slandreth cut off I shall Who hath an high look proud heart I 'le not endure at all verse 6 Upon the faithfull of the land mine eyes shall be that they May with me dwell me serve he shall that walks in perfect way verse 7 Who works deceit he surely shall within my house not dwell Nor shall he tary in my sight that loveth lies to tell verse 8 The wicke◠〈◊〉 â—o destroy t◠〈…〉 wilâ— Cu◠〈…〉 I 〈◊〉 from the 〈…〉 PSAL. CII WIth an attentive ear O LORD the prayer now made by me In mercy hear and let my cry come quickly unto thee verse 2 Hide not thy face from me in dayes when I in trouble fall Incline thine ear and speedily me answere when I call verse 3 For all my dayes are like the smoak consumed by thine ire And all my bones are fearfully burnt as an hearth with fire verse 4 My heart sore smitten withred is most like the grasse indeed So that I through my troubles great forget to eat my bread verse 5 By reason also of the voice of groaning me within My bones all dried with distresse do cleave unto my skin verse 6 I am like to a Pelican that lives in wildernesse And of the desert I am like an owle in my distresse
verse 11 To all the beasts even of the field they drink give as they list The asses wilde among their streames do gladly quench their thirst verse 12 By them shal all the fowls of heav'n take pleasure for to dwell â—hich on green branches blooming fair in sweetest songs excell He wattreth froÌ„ his chambers high the hills aboundantlie â—he earth with the fruit of thy works is satisfi'd by thee verse 14 For cattell he makes grasse to grow and herb exceeding good â—or mans service that from the earth he may bring foorth his food verse 15 And wine that makes mans heart be glad and oil in every part To make his face to shine and bread which strengthneth a mans heart verse 16 The pleasant trees of God the Lord even full of sap do stand Of Lebanon the Cedars which he planted with his hand verse 17 Where make their nests wherein to sit the birds melodious As for the Stork the fire trees are appointed for her house verse 18 For the wild Goats the higest hilâ— are a most sure refuge â—esâ—gâ— The ragged rocks ordained are the Conies for to lodge verse 19 For seasons he appointeth still the Moon likewise the Sun Swift in his course still knoweth well each day his going down verse 20 Thou makest darknes by thy might and it is night indeed Wherein beasts of the forrest all creep foorth then for to feed verse 21 The Lions young run heer and there and roar to get their prey And from the GOD that formed them their meat seek evry day verse 22 The Sun ariseth they themselves together gather then And lay them down most quietly in their retired den verse 23 Man goeth foorth then chearfully unto his work with speed And to his labour carefully untill the evening tide verse 24 How manifold Lord are thy works in wisdome wonderfull Thou madst them all the earth always is of thy riches full verse 25 So is this sea that 's great and wide wherein things creeping all Innumerable are ev'n beasts that are both great and small verse 26 There also go with speedie course the Ships swift in their way There is that Leviathan whom thou madst therein to play verse 27 All those things wel do wait on thee that as thou thinkest meet Thou mayest still in season due give unto them their meat verse 28 That which thou givest unto them they gather for their food Thy hand thou op'nest chearfully and they are fill'd with good verse 29 Thy face thou hidest then they are all troubled and do mourne Thou tak'st away their breath they die and to their dust returne verse 30 Thou sendest forth thy sprit they art created by thy breath And thou by thy great might renewe the face of all the earth verse 31 The glory of the LORD our GOD endure shall fast for ever The Lord God also shall rejoice in his great works of wonder verse 32 The earth below doth tremble all when he on it doth look The hils he toucheth that are high and they together smoak verse 33 I to the Lord ev'n while I live will sing as he doth crave I will sing praise unto my GOD while I my being have verse 34 My meditation of him shall be most sweet unto me Yea in the LORD that me sustaines I ever glad will be verse 35 Consume thou sinners froÌ„ the earth let wicked be no more Blesse now the Lord O thou my soul praise ye the LORD therefore PSAL. CXVII O Praise the Lord most thankfully ye nations great and small With heart and voice praise him also on earth ye people all verse 2 For he his kindnesse mercifull to us doth still afford For ever the LORDS truth endures praise ye alwayes the LORD PSAL. CXIX ALEPH. O Thou GOD of my righteousnesse when I do call give ear Inlarg'd thou hast me from distresse my prayer in mercy hear verse 2 O sons of men How long will ye my glory turn to shame How long will ye love vanitie and leesing seek to frame verse 3 But know that for himself the Lord th'ungodly one and all Hath set apart the LORD will hear when I unto him call verse 4 Stand now in aw and sin no more and common ye with skill With your own heart upon your bed and be ye alwayes still verse 5 The sacrifice of righteousnesse now offer which is just And in the great and mighty Lord put ye alwayes your trust verse 6 Who will to us shew any good there many be that say LORD of thy countenance the light lift up on us alway verse 7 Thou surely gladnesse in my heart hast put by thy good will More then in times their corns wine increased alwayes still verse 8 I will both lay me down in peace and sleep exceeding well For thou LORD only dost me make in safety for to dwell PSAL. GIve ear unto my words O Lord my meditation weigh verse 2 Hear thou my cry my King my God for I to thee will pray verse 3 Thou in the morning shalt my voice Lord heare by thy goodwill At morning to thee will I pray and look up to thee still verse 4 For thou art not a God that pleasd with wickednesse can'st be Nor yet evill at any time shall dwell at all with thee verse 5 The foolish people in thy sight stand stedfast never shall The workers of iniquitie thou surelie hatest all verse 6 Them that are leesing giv'n to speak thou wilt destroy therefore The bloody and deceitfull man God alwayes will abhorre verse 7 But in thy mercies multitude come to thy house I will Thy Temple towards in thy feare I will thee worship still verse 8 O Lord God in thy righteousnesse me lead now I thee pray Because of foes before my face make thou now straight thy way verse 9 For in their mouth no treuth there is their inward's alwayes ill Their throat 's an open sepulchre their tongues do flatter still verse 10 O God who ever righteous art destroy them great and small Let them with shame grief of heart by their own counsels fall Cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions hie For in great wickednesse they have rebelled against thee verse 11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice alway Let them for joy in every part most gladly shout for ay Because that thou them by thy hand defendest as they see Let them also that love thy name be joyfull still in thee verse 12 For thou O Lord the righteous man wilt blesse both in and out With favour thou as with a shield wilt compasse him about PSALME VI. VII O Lord my God most gracious still I put my trust in thee From all them that me persecute save and deliver me verse 2 Lest like a Lion he my soule teare and in pieces small It rent while to deliver me there is none found at all verse 3 O LORD my GOD if any way this hath been done by me Or if at all within my hands iniquity there be verse 4 If him that was at peace with me I ill rewarded so Yea I have him deliv'red that is without cause my so verse 5 Let th'enmie still pursue my soul and take it let him thrust My life down on the earth and lay mine honour in the dust verse 6 Rise Lord in wrath lift up thy self my foes rage to withstand Awake to judgement that for me thou wisely didst command verse 7 The peoples congregation so about thee compasse shall Return thou for their sakes therefore on high set over all verse 8 The Lord shall all the people judge O Lord al 's judge thou me According to my righteousnesse and mine integritie verse 9 Oh let the wickeds malice end but stablish stedfastly The just

VIII O Lord our Lord how excellent is in the earth thy name Who hast thy glory set above the bright heavens fairest frame verse 2 Out of the mouth of suckling babes thou hast ordained strength Because of foes that thou mightst still th' avenging fo at length verse 3 When I the heav'ns consider well thy fingers works that be The Moon and likewise all the Stars that were ordain'd by thee verse 4 What is poor man that thou of him should'st thus so mindfull be Or what the son of man that thou him visits with thine eye verse 5 For even a little lower him then Angels thou hast made With glory and with honour al 's thou crowned hast his head verse 6 Thou mad'st him have dominion ov'r the great works of thine hand Under his feet thou hast all things put both of sea and land verse 7 All sheep to him obedience give and oxen service yeeld Yea which is more him still obey the beasts of all the field verse 8 The foules of th' air and of the sea the fishes more or lesse And whatsoever of the seas still through the paths do passe verse 9 O Lord our Lord those mighty worâ— do high extoll thy fame How excellent in all the earth is thy most glorious name PSAL.
