CXXXIV â—Ehold and blesse the Lord all ye that serve the LORD aright â—â—ich in the house of God the Lord to serve him stand by night Your hands lift in the Sanctuary and bless the Lord in this The Lord that made the heav'n and earth thee out of Zion blesse PSAL. CXXXV â—Raise ye the Lord praise ye also his Name with one accord â—â—aise him with heart and voice O ye the servants of the Lord. CXIII PRaise ye the Lord O of the Lord ye servants now proclame His worthy praise of God the Lord praise the most holy Name verse 2 Now of the LORD most blessed be the Name which we adore From this time forth from age to age and al 's for evermore verse 3 From the first rising of the Sun unto his going down The LORDS Name to be honour'd is with praise and great renown verse 4 The LORD above all nations is most high in Majestie And likewise is his glory great above the heavens hie verse 5 Who is now like unto the LORD our God who doth excell Who on high in the highest heav'n with Majestie doth dwell verse 6 Who though most high yet he himseâ—â— still humbleth in his love Things to behold that are on earth and in the heav'ns above verse 7 Out of the dust he raiseth up the poor in miserie And out of the dung hill also the needie lifteth hie verse 8 That he him up in dignitie with Princes high may set With those that of his people all are ev'n the Princes great He doth the barren woman make to keep house and to be A mother glade of children dear the mighty LORD praise yee PSAL. CXIIII WHen Israel out of Egypt land went by a happy change And Jacobs house a people left that were of language strange His Sanctuarie Judah was wherein he chosd to dwell â—nd Isra'l his dominion al 's which he did rule right well The sea it saw and as in feare with hast the flight did take And Jordans river running straight was driv'n most quickly back verse 4 The mountains steep with their high tops did quake and skip as rams So did like wise the little hills ev'n like the younger lambs verse 5 What aild thee O thou troubled fâ— that thou the flight didst take Thou Jordan that so speedilie thou wast by force driv'n back verse 6 Ye mountaines high what was 〈◊〉 cauâ—â— that ye did skip like rams What mov'd you also little hills to skip like younger lambs verse 7 Thou at the presence of the Lord earth tremble all and fear Ev'n at the presence of the GOD of Jacob to him dear verse 8 Which into waters turn'd the roâ— ev'n standing like a lake And in the flint a fountain fair of waters clear did make PSAL. CXV LOrd not to us not unto us but unto thy name take Great glory for thy stedfast truth and for thy mercies sake verse 2 Wherefore should new the heath 〈◊〉 where is their God alone But our God's in the heav'ns he hath what ever he pleased done Their idols silver are and gold workes of mens hands they be They have mouths made but can not speak and eyes but they not see Of ears they have the shape but they hear not what men do tell They noses formed also have but there with cannot smell They hands have but they handle not and feet but cannot walk A throat they have but throgh it they can no way speak or talk To those vain things they are most like that in their wayes unjust Them make ev'n so is every one that into them doth trust verse 9 Trust thou O Israel in the Lord their help and shield that be verse 10 Trust in the Lord O A'rons house their help and shield is he verse 11 Ye that do fear the living Lord trust in the Lord alway He is their strong help and their shield that still upon him stay verse 12 The Lord of us hath mindfull been he sure will blesse us still He will blesse Israls house the house of Aaron blesse he will verse 13 He wil them blesse that fear the Lord and that both great and small verse 14 God shal increase you more more you and your children all verse 15 You all that have an upright heart are blessed of the Lord Which both the heav'n al 's the earth made by his mighty word verse 16 The heav'n ye ev'n the heav'ns above are all the Lords by right But to the sons of men he hath the earth giv'n by his might verse 17 The dead in grave can in no way praise give the Lord unto Nor any whatsoever that down into 〈◊〉 go But we the mighty Lord above will blesse with one accord â—om this time forth for evermore most gladly praise the Lord. XCII TO give thanks to the Lord it is a good and comely thing And to thy Name O thou most High due praises al 's to sing verse 2 Thy loving kindnes to shew foorth in the first morning light And to declare thy faithfulnesse with gladnesse every night verse 3 Upon an instrument most sweet of ten strings that rebound And on the Psaltrie and upon the Harp with solemne sound verse 4 For thou Lord now hast through thy work me glad made ev'ry way I in the great works of thy hands will still triumph alway verse 5 Thy thoghts are very deep how great are the works of thy hand verse 6 brutish man not knows nor doth a fool this understand verse 7 When wicked men even as the grasse spring in prosperitie When all those flourish more or lesse that work iniquitie It is that they for ever shall destroyed be therefore verse 8 But thou Lord always mighty art most high for ever more verse 9 For loe thine enmies Lord for loe thine enmies perish shall The workers of iniquitie they shall be scattred all verse 10 But thou my horn like th'Unicorns shall still exalt
on hie With fresh oil that most precious is I shall anointed be verse 11 Mine eye shall also my desire see of my foes in fear Of wicked men that ' gainst me rise mine ears my wish shall hear verse 12 The righteous like the pleasant palm anone well flourish shall He shall grow like in Lebanon a Cedar great and tall verse 13 Those that in the house of the Lord have planted their abode Shall flourish fair most constantly in the courts of our GOD. verse 14 They shall all still in their old age most pleasant fruit foorth bring In a most blessed state they shall be fat and flourishing verse 15 To shew that still the Lord remains upright to great and small He is my rock there 's not in him unrighteousnesse at all PSAL. XCIII THe Lord doth reigne he clothed is with Majestie throughout The LORD is cloth'd with strength wherwith he girds himself about The world also fast stablish'd is that it can not depart verse 2 Thy Throne of old is fix'd for thou from everlasting art verse 3 The floods have lifted up O LORD the flowing floods their voice Have lifted up the floods their waves lift up even with a noise verse 4 The Lord on high more mighty is then any noise can be Of waters great yea then the waves most mighty of the sea verse 5 Thy Testimonies of great worth are very sure together True holinesse thy house O LORD becometh still for ever PSAL. XCIV O LORD to whom vengeance for wroÌ„gs belongs ev'n as most due O GOD to whom vengeance belongs thy self now clearly shew verse 2 Lift up thy self thou of the earth the great Judge to regard Deservedly unto the proud now render a reward verse 3 Most mighty LORD how long shall they that alwayes wicked be How long shall wicked men on earth triumph so gloriouslie verse 4 How long shal those men utter thus and speak hard things so free And all those proudly boast themselves that worke iniquitie verse 5 LORD they in pieces break thy folk and heritage distresse verse 6 They widow and the stranger slay and murder fatherlesse verse 7 Yet they say in their foolishnesse the Lord this shall not see Nor by the God of Jacob shall it once regarded be verse 8 Among the people understand ye brutish and likewise Ye fools that nothing can conceive O when will ye be wise verse 9 Shall he that planted hath the ear not heare how all things be He that also the eye hath form'd shall he himself not see verse 10 He that the heathen doth chastise shall he not chastise now He that man knowledge teacheth still shall he himself not know verse 11 The Lord the thoghts of mortal man doth know most certainlie That in their greatest worth they are nothing but vanitie verse 12 Blest is the man O Lord whom thou by chastning keeps in aw And also clearely teachest him out of thy holie law verse 13 That thou may give him rest from dayeâ— of great adversitie Vntill that for the wicked man the pit deep digged be verse 14 For now the LORD his people aâ— will not cast off together Nor will hee his inheritance in wrath forsake for ever verse 15 But judgement unto righteousnesse returne most quicklie shall And those that be in heart upright shall it still follow all verse 16 Who up for me will rise against those that ill doers be Or who for me ' gainst those will stand that work iniquitie verse 17 Unlesse the Lord had been to mee a help as I have felt My soul with trouble vexed had almost in silence dwelt verse 18 When I said that my foot did slip thy mercy held me right verse 19 Thy comforts in my many thoughts do still my soul delight verse 20 Shall thus of great iniquitie the throne without all aw Have fellowship with thee Which frames mischief ev'n by a law verse 21 Themselves together gather they against the souls of men That righteous are and al 's the blood of innocent condemne verse 22 But yet the Lord still by his might is my defence alway And my GOD is the solid Rock of my refuge for ay verse 23 He on them their own sin shal bring and them cut off he shall In their own wickednesse our GOD shall cut them off in all PSAL. XCVI O Sing a new song heartilie unto the Lord with mirth Unto the Lord most chearefully now sing yee all the earth verse 2 Unto the Lord sing chearefully and blesse his Name alway And his salvation constantly shew forth from day to day verse 3 His glory still declare among the heathen great and small His wonders also make ye known among the people all verse 4 For certainely the Lord is great and greatlie he for this â—s to be prais'd above all GODS he to be feared is For all the gods of Nations vaine still naughty idols prove But by his mighty hand the Lord hath made the heav'ns above verse 6 High honour and great Majestie are ever him before â—trength beautie in his Sanctuarie are ever still in store verse 7 Ye kindreds of the people all give to the LORD at length Unto the LORD that mighty is both glory give and strength verse 8 Unto the Lord the glorie give which to his Name is due And come ye now into his courts ane offring bring with you In the beautie of holinesse O the Lord still adore â—t all th'ind

XCIX THe Lord doth reign let trembling fear the people make to quake He sits between the Cherubims now let the earth all shake verse 2 The LORD is great in Zion and all people high above verse 3 Let them thy great dreadful name praise which doth holy prove verse 4 The kings strength also judgement loves thou setlest equity Thou right and judgement execut'st in Jacob constantly verse 5 The LORD our GOD with all your heart with praise exalt on hie And at his footstool worship low for holy still is He. verse 6 Moses and Aaron with his priests ' mongst them that on him call Was Samuel they call'd on the LORD and he them answerd all verse 7 He in the cloudy pillar spake to them they keeped have His testimonies and likewise the ord'nance he them gave verse 8 Thou answerdst them O Lord our God a God that them forgave Though thou of their inventions didst a heavy vengeance crave verse 9 With praise exalt the Lord our God and at his holy hill Him humbly worship for the LORD our GOD is holy still PSALME C. A Joyfull noise unto the LORD ye lands make more and more verse 2 Serve GOD with gladnes yea with songs his presence come before verse 3 Know that the Lord is God it 's he not we that made us heer We are his people and the sheep even of his pasture dear verse 4 With thanksgiving enter his gates and in his courts proclame His praise be thankfull unto him and blesse his holy Name verse 5 For GOD is good his mercy great is everlasting sure And to all generations al 's his truth doth still endure PSAL. CII WIth an attentive ear O LORD the prayer now made by me In mercy hear and let my cry come quickly unto thee verse 2 Hide not thy face from me in dayes when I in trouble fall Incline thine ear and speedily me answere when I call verse 3 For all my dayes are like the smoak consumed by thine ire And all my bones are fearfully burnt as an hearth with fire verse 4 My heart sore smitten withred is most like the grasse indeed So that I through my troubles great forget to eat my bread verse 5 By reason also of the voice of groaning me within My bones all dried with distresse do cleave unto my skin verse 6 I am like to a Pelican that lives in wildernesse And of the desert I am like an owle in my distresse
verse 11 To all the beasts even of the field they drink give as they list The asses wilde among their streames do gladly quench their thirst verse 12 By them shal all the fowls of heav'n take pleasure for to dwell â—hich on green branches blooming fair in sweetest songs excell He wattreth froÌ„ his chambers high the hills aboundantlie â—he earth with the fruit of thy works is satisfi'd by thee verse 14 For cattell he makes grasse to grow and herb exceeding good â—or mans service that from the earth he may bring foorth his food verse 15 And wine that makes mans heart be glad and oil in every part To make his face to shine and bread which strengthneth a mans heart verse 16 The pleasant trees of God the Lord even full of sap do stand Of Lebanon the Cedars which he planted with his hand verse 17 Where make their nests wherein to sit the birds melodious As for the Stork the fire trees are appointed for her house verse 18 For the wild Goats the higest hilâ— are a most sure refuge â—esâ—gâ— The ragged rocks ordained are the Conies for to lodge verse 19 For seasons he appointeth still the Moon likewise the Sun Swift in his course still knoweth well each day his going down verse 20 Thou makest darknes by thy might and it is night indeed Wherein beasts of the forrest all creep foorth then for to feed verse 21 The Lions young run heer and there and roar to get their prey And from the GOD that formed them their meat seek evry day verse 22 The Sun ariseth they themselves together gather then And lay them down most quietly in their retired den verse 23 Man goeth foorth then chearfully unto his work with speed And to his labour carefully untill the evening tide verse 24 How manifold Lord are thy works in wisdome wonderfull Thou madst them all the earth always is of thy riches full verse 25 So is this sea that 's great and wide wherein things creeping all Innumerable are ev'n beasts that are both great and small verse 26 There also go with speedie course the Ships swift in their way There is that Leviathan whom thou madst therein to play verse 27 All those things wel do wait on thee that as thou thinkest meet Thou mayest still in season due give unto them their meat verse 28 That which thou givest unto them they gather for their food Thy hand thou op'nest chearfully and they are fill'd with good verse 29 Thy face thou hidest then they are all troubled and do mourne Thou tak'st away their breath they die and to their dust returne verse 30 Thou sendest forth thy sprit they art created by thy breath And thou by thy great might renewe the face of all the earth verse 31 The glory of the LORD our GOD endure shall fast for ever The Lord God also shall rejoice in his great works of wonder verse 32 The earth below doth tremble all when he on it doth look The hils he toucheth that are high and they together smoak verse 33 I to the Lord ev'n while I live will sing as he doth crave I will sing praise unto my GOD while I my being have verse 34 My meditation of him shall be most sweet unto me Yea in the LORD that me sustaines I ever glad will be verse 35 Consume thou sinners froÌ„ the earth let wicked be no more Blesse now the Lord O thou my soul praise ye the LORD therefore PSAL. deliver now I thee most humbly pray The LORD is ever gracious still and righteous in his wayes Yea our GOD to his servants all is mercifull alwayes verse 6 The LORD those safely doth preservâ— that truely simple be I was through grief brought very low and he then helped me verse 7 Unto thy quiet rest my soul return now joyfullie For bountifully hath the LORD in mercy dealt with thee verse 8 For thou deliv'red hast my soul from death as thou thought meet My dimmed eyes from tears also from falling al 's my feet verse 9 I in the land of living men will walk the Lord before verse 10 I did believe therefore I spake I was afflicted sore verse 11 I said in my most foolish hast that all men liers be verse 12 What shall I render to the Lord for all his gifts to me verse 13 Salvations cup I will now take and on GODS Name will call verse 14 I 'le pay my vows unto the Lord before his people all verse 15 In the sight of the living Lord most precious is and dear â—he death of all his worthy Saints that truely do him fear verse 16 Oh Lord I am thy servant I thy servant am indeed â—nd al 's thy handmaids son yea thou hast loosd my bonds with speed verse 17 Of thanksgiving the sacrifice to thee I offer will â—nd on the name of GOD the LORD I will call humbly still verse 18 With thankfull heart unto the Lord my vows all will I pay In presence of his people all even now without delay verse 19 In the fair courts of the LORDS house yea in the midst of thee O beautifull Jerusalem the living LORD praise ye PSAL. CXVII O Praise the Lord most thankfully ye nations great and small With heart and voice praise him also on earth ye people all verse 2 For he his kindnesse mercifull to us doth still afford For ever the LORDS truth endures praise ye alwayes the LORD PSAL. CXVIII O Give now thanks unto the Lord for he is good most sure Because his mercy alwayes great for ever doth endure verse 2 That his mercy for ay endures let Israel now say verse 3 Let Aarons house say also that his mercy lasts for ay verse 4 Let them all now that fear the Lord at this time plainly say That his mercy most wonderfull endureth firm for ay verse 5 I in distresse cald on the LORD the Lord then answerd me He by his grace in a large place anone did set me free verse 6 The Lord is alwayes on my side therefore I will not fear What mortall man do alwayes can unto me far or neer verse 7 The LORD doth take my part with them that help me willingly Therefore upon them that me hate I my desire shall see verse 8 It better is still in the Lord to trust with patience Than in a man that mortall is to put our confidence verse 9 It better is still in the Lord to trust with patience Then in those that great Princes be to put our confidence verse 10 The Nations all did compasse me about me to annoy But in the name of God the Lord I will them all destroy verse 11 They compassd me about yea 〈◊〉 did compasse me about But in the Lords name I will them destroy and quite root out verse 12 Like Bees they compassd me as of thornes they quenched fall For in the name of God the Lord I will destroy them all verse 13 That I might fal thou sore hast thriâ— But God then helped me verse 14 The Lord 's my strength song â— salvation sure is he verse 15 In tents of righteous men the voice of joy and safety is The right hand of the mighty Lord doth valiantly for his verse 16 The right hand of the Lord always is now exalted hie The right hand of the mighty Lord doth very valiantly verse 17 I shall not die but live and shew the Lords great works therefore verse 18 God hath me chastned sore but hath to death not giv'n me ov'r verse 19 The gates of tighteousnesse to me to open now accord gladly will go into them and I will praise the Lord. verse 20 This gate of the Lord into which the righteous enter shall verse 21 I 'l praise thee for thou hast me heard and art my safety all verse 22 The stone the builders did refuse is of the corner head verse 23 This is Gods doing in our eyes it marvellous is indeed verse 24 This is the day which God the Lord in mercy great hath made We greatly therefore will rejoice and in it will be glad verse 25 Save now O Lord I thee beseech O Lord I alwayes thee Humbly beseech with all my heart send now prosperitie verse 26 Who in the Name of the Lord come still blessed let him be Out of the house ev'n of the Lord you blessed all have we verse 27 God is the Lord who hath to us shew'd light in each a do Bind ye the sacrifice with cords ev'n th' Altars hornes unto verse 28 Thou art my God for this thou shalt be praisd alwayes by me Thou art my God by me therefore thou shalt exalted be verse 29 O give now thanks unto the Lord for he is good alway For his mercy most wonderfull endureth fast for ay PSAL. CXIX ALEPH. BLest are all those that undefil'd are in the holy way Who in the law of God the Lord sincerely walk alway verse 2 Blest are all they that carefully his Testimonies keep And that him ever constantly with all their heart do seek verse 3 They al 's do no iniquitie then walk still in his wayes verse 4 Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts well alwayes verse 5 O that my ways were set to keep the statutes given by thee verse 6 When I thy precepts all respect I not asham'd shall be verse 7 With uprightnesse of heart I will thee praise when well I shall Have learned for to understand thy righteous judgements all verse 8 With care I will thy statutes keep O for thy mercies sake Not utterly O Lord in wrath me thy servant forsake BETH verse 9 Wherewith all shal a young man heer his way well cleanse indeed Even still according to thy word by thereto taking head verse 10 I with my whole heart carefuâ— have sought thee ev'ry way O from thy precepts let me not now wander far away verse 11 Thy word I have hid in my hâ— lest ' gainst thee I should sin verse 12 O Lord thou blessed art mâ— thy statutes well within verse 13 I with my lips unfained have declared thankfullie Thy judgements which directed ev'n from thy mouth to me verse 14 I of thy Testimonies have rejoiced in the way As much as in the riches all that men in treasures lay verse 15 I 'le in thy precepts meditate and all thy ways respect verse 16 Thy statuts shall be my deligâ—â— thy word I 'le not forget GIMEL verse 17 Deal bountifully
