CXXXV â—Raise ye the Lord praise ye also his Name with one accord â—â—aise him with heart and voice O ye the servants of the Lord. CXII PRaise ye the Lord blest is the man that fears the LORD aright That in his wise commandments all still greatly doth delight verse 2 His seed shall mighty be upon the earth assuredlie The uprights generation shall for ever blessed be verse 3 Great wealth and riches ever fast shall in his house be sure And his most perfect righteousnesse for ever doth endure verse 4 To the upright ariseth light in darknesse speedilie Most gracious of compassion full and righteous al 's is he verse 5 A good man sheweth favour still and willingly doth lend He with discretion his affaires will guide ev'n to the end verse 6 He surely not for ever shall be mov'd so fix'd is he The righteous in remembrance sure shall everlasting be verse 7 He shall not be afraid of what ill tidings can afford His heart is ever fixed fast still trusting in the Lord. verse 8 His heart always estabish'd is he not afraid shall be Untill upon his enmies all his full desire he see verse 9 He hath dispersd and given to poor his righteousnesse for ay Endures his horn with honour shall exalted be alway verse 10 The wicked grieved shall it see his teeth he gnashing all Shall melt away and the desire of ill men perish shall PSAL. CXIII PRaise ye the Lord O of the Lord ye servants now proclame His worthy praise of God the Lord praise the most holy Name verse 2 Now of the LORD most blessed be the Name which we adore From this time forth from age to age and al 's for evermore verse 3 From the first rising of the Sun unto his going down The LORDS Name to be honour'd is with praise and great renown verse 4 The LORD above all nations is most high in Majestie And likewise is his glory great above the heavens hie verse 5 Who is now like unto the LORD our God who doth excell Who on high in the highest heav'n with Majestie doth dwell verse 6 Who though most high yet he himseâ—â— still humbleth in his love Things to behold that are on earth and in the heav'ns above verse 7 Out of the dust he raiseth up the poor in miserie And out of the dung hill also the needie lifteth hie verse 8 That he him up in dignitie with Princes high may set With those that of his people all are ev'n the Princes great He doth the barren woman make to keep house and to be A mother glade of children dear the mighty LORD praise yee PSAL. CXIIII WHen Israel out of Egypt land went by a happy change And Jacobs house a people left that were of language strange His Sanctuarie Judah was wherein he chosd to dwell â—nd Isra'l his dominion al 's which he did rule right well The sea it saw and as in feare with hast the flight did take And Jordans river running straight was driv'n most quickly back verse 4 The mountains steep with their high tops did quake and skip as rams So did like wise the little hills ev'n like the younger lambs verse 5 What aild thee O thou troubled fâ— that thou the flight didst take Thou Jordan that so speedilie thou wast by force driv'n back verse 6 Ye mountaines high what was 〈◊〉 cauâ—â— that ye did skip like rams What mov'd you also little hills to skip like younger lambs verse 7 Thou at the presence of the Lord earth tremble all and fear Ev'n at the presence of the GOD of Jacob to him dear verse 8 Which into waters turn'd the roâ— ev'n standing like a lake And in the flint a fountain fair of waters clear did make PSAL. CXV LOrd not to us not unto us but unto thy name take Great glory for thy stedfast truth and for thy mercies sake verse 2 Wherefore should new the heath 〈◊〉 where is their God alone But our God's in the heav'ns he hath what ever he pleased done Their idols silver are and gold workes of mens hands they be They have mouths made but can not speak and eyes but they not see Of ears they have the shape but they hear not what men do tell They noses formed also have but there with cannot smell They hands have but they handle not and feet but cannot walk A throat they have but throgh it they can no way speak or talk To those vain things they are most like that in their wayes unjust Them make ev'n so is every one that into them doth trust verse 9 Trust thou O Israel in the Lord their help and shield that be verse 10 Trust in the Lord O A'rons house their help and shield is he verse 11 Ye that do fear the living Lord trust in the Lord alway He is their strong help and their shield that still upon him stay verse 12 The Lord of us hath mindfull been he sure will blesse us still He will blesse Israls house the house of Aaron blesse he will verse 13 He wil them blesse that fear the Lord and that both great and small verse 14 God shal increase you more more you and your children all verse 15 You all that have an upright heart are blessed of the Lord Which both the heav'n al 's the earth made by his mighty word verse 16 The heav'n ye ev'n the heav'ns above are all the Lords by right But to the sons of men he hath the earth giv'n by his might verse 17 The dead in grave can in no way praise give the Lord unto Nor any whatsoever that down into 〈◊〉 go But we the mighty Lord above will blesse with one accord â—om this time forth for evermore most gladly praise the Lord. XVII O Lord that chiefly art my strength thee dearly love I will The LORD my rock and fortresse is and my deliverer still My God my strength in whom I trust my buckler al 's is he The horne of my salvation al 's and Towre that is most hie verse 3 Upon the LORD who to be prais'd is worthy I will call So in all dangers I shall be sav'd from mine enmies all verse 4 The sorrowes great of fearfull death me compassd all dismaid And of ungodly men the floods made me to be afraid verse 5 Of hell the sorrowes alwayes did me compasse fearfullie The snares of death with trembling feaâ— and grief prevented me verse 6 I in distresse call'd on the LORD and cry'd to GOD with teares He from his Temple heard my voice my cry came to his eares verse 7 Then shook the earth trembled aâ— the hills foundations both Were mov'd and al 's they shaken werâ— because that he was wroth verse 8 Out of his nostrils there went up a smoak most fearfully And from his mouth a fire devour'd coales kindled were thereby verse 9 He also bow'd the heav'ns and camâ— down in a way most meet And darknes which was black thick there under was his feet verse 10 And he upon a Cherub rode and did most swiftly flie Yea on the wings he of the wind did flie with Majestie verse 11 He darknesse made his secret place his pau'lion round about Were waters dark and of the skies thick clouds all stretched out verse 12 At the brightnesse that him before was in his fearfull ire His thick clouds passed here and there hailstones and coales of fire verse 13 The Lord al 's thuÌ„dred in the heav'ns the Highest every where Then gave his voice hailstones coals of fire that flamming were verse 14 Yea he sent out his arrowes and them scattred great and small And he shot out his lightnings bright and them discomfit'd all verse 15 The chanels of the waters deep all seen then clearly were And al 's the worlds foundations all discovered were each where At thy rebuke all this was done most powerfully O LORD Even at the fearfull blast of breath thy nostrils did afford verse 16 His readie help he from above did send by his command Hee out of many waters me drew by his mighty hand verse 17 He fâ—oÌ„ mine enmie that was strong most safely set me free From theÌ„ which did me hate for theâ— were all too strong for me verse 18 Of my calamitie they did prevent me in the day But the LORD in his mercie great was ever still my stay verse 19 He also a large place into me brought forth by his might He did deliver me because he did in me delight verse 20 According to my righteousnesse the LORD rewarded me After the cleannesse of my hands me recompensd hath he verse 21 For of the LORD I have the wayes well keept with all my heart And from my God I wickedly would not at all depart verse 22 For all his judgements of great weight were ever me before And I his statutes not a way did put from me therefore verse 23 I also was upright and true before him in my way And I from mine iniquitie did keep my self alway verse 24 Therefore after my righteousnesse GOD recompenc'd hath me According as his eyes have seen my hands cleannesse to be verse 25 Thou wilt shew with the mercifâ—â— thy self in mercy right And with a man upright thou wilt even shew thy self upright verse 26 Thou with the pure thy selfe wâ— sheâ— most pure in all thy wayes And with the froward thou thy self wilt froward shew alwayes verse 27 For thou the people poor wilt saâ— that fore afflicted be And also wilt bring down at length the lookes that are so hie verse 28 For thou in thy great mercy wilâ— my candle clearly light The LORD my GOD enlighten will my darknesse all made bright verse 29 For I by thee even through a troâ— have run not hurt at all And by my GOD I with great force have leaped ov'r a wall verse 30 As for GOD perfect is his way GODS word is surely try'd He to all those that trust in him a buckler doth abide verse 31 For who is God except the LORD yea surely there is none Or who for safety is a rock except our GOD alone verse 32 It is God onely in his love that grideth me with strength And maketh also all my way most perfect at the length verse 33 Like Hinds feet which most swiftly run he makes my feet to be And by his hand
And plentifully he also the proud doer rewards verse 24 Be of good courage ever still and he shall strength afford Unto your weari'd heart all ye that hope still in the LORD PSAL. XXXII HE is most surely blessed whose transgression great or small In mercy freely is forgiv'n whose sin is covered all verse 2 Blest is the man to whom the Lord iniquitie most vile Imputeth not and in whose sprit at all there is no guile verse 3 When I kept silence foolishly my bones my grones among Still through my roaring waxed old and that all the day long verse 4 For alwayes day and night thy haâ— did on me heavy ly My moisture thus is turn'd into the drought of Summer dry verse 5 My grievous sin I then anone acknowledg'd unto thee And al 's I have not hid at all my great iniquitie I said I my transgressions all will to the Lord confesse And thou forgivest of my sin the fearfull guiltinesse verse 6 For this in times thou maist be foâ— the godly to thee all Shall pray in floods of waters grâ— not near him come they shall verse 7 Thou art my hiding place thou â— from troubleâ— make me free With sweet songs of deliverance thou shalt encompasse me verse 8 I will instruct thee and thee teach the way that thou shalt go And I with mine all seeing eye will guide thee well also verse 9 Be not thou like unto the horse or mule that wanteth wit Whos 's mouth lest they come neer thee must be held with bridle and bit verse 10 Much sorrowes unto wicked men shall be the earth throughout But mercy him that trusts in GOD shall compasse round about verse 11 Ye righteous in the Lord rejoice and glad be in each part And also shout for joy all ye that upright are in heart PSAL. XXXIII O In the LORD alwayes rejoice ye righteous in his sight For praise is comely for all those that are in heart upright verse 2 Praise ye the Lord now with the harpe with psaltrie to him sing And also with an instrument that hath a tenfold string verse 3 Unto him a new pleasant song sing with your heart and voice Play also now most skilfully with a loud sounding noice verse 4 For the good word of God the Loâ—â— is faithfull still and right And all his glorious workes in truth are done by his great might verse 5 He righteousnesse with all his heaâ—â— and judgement loveth still The goodnesse of the Lord our God the earth doth ever fill verse 6 By the word of the mighty Lorâ— the heav'ns created were And by the breath even of his moâ— their host all every where verse 7 He gathreth waters of the sea together as an heap And as in store houses also he layeth up the deep verse 8 Let all the earth now humbly fear the LORD and keep his law Let all the earths inhabitants still of him stand in aw verse 9 For he spake in his mighty power and it was done at last As he desir'd he did command and it alwayes stood fast verse 10 The Lord to noght the counsel brings which heathen men project The peoples vain devices all he makes of none effect verse 11 The counsell of the Lord doth stand for ever free of fall Yea of his heart the thoughts shal last to generations all verse 12 Blest is the nation whose GOD is the LORD them to advance And people whom he chosen hath for his inheritance verse 13 The Lord from heav'n that is above down looketh with his eye He all the sons of men below most clearly thence doth see verse 14 From of his habitation high the place that doth excell He looketh down on those alwayes that on the earth do dwell verse 15 He fashioneth also all their heaâ—â— alike both great and small Their works al 's whether good or 〈◊〉 he them considreth all verse 16 There is no king whom of an hâ— the multitude can save And by much strength a mighty maâ— can no deliv'rance have verse 17 For mans safety a thing most 〈◊〉 an horse is seen at length Not any he deliver shall by his great power and strength verse 18 Behold the Lords eye ever is upon them that him fear Ev'n on them still that do alwayes hope in his mercy heer verse 19 For to deliver safe their soul even from the jawes of death And al 's to keep them safe alive in famine free of wrath verse 20 Our soul still alwayes for the LORD waits till he comfort send In dangers all he is our help and shield us to defend verse 21 For in him gladly shall our heart rejoice without all blame Because we surely trusted have in his most holy name verse 22 Let thy mercy O gracious LORD upon us ever be According as with all our heart we still do hope in thee PSAL. XCVIII O Sing a new song to the LORD who hath done wonders great His right hand and his holy arme him victory did get verse 2 The Lord hath in his mercy great made his salvation known In heathens sight his righteousnesse he openlie hath shown verse 3 His mercy he remembred hath and truth to Israel The ends of all the earth have seen our GODS salvation well verse 4 O all the earth unto the LORD a joyfull noise now raise Yea make a loud noise and rejoice and gladly all sing praise verse 5 Unto the Lord now with the harp sing sweetly and rejoice Yea with the harp and also with a psalme in pleasant voice verse 6 With trumpets that most pleasant are the sound of cornets bring Together make a joyfull noise before the Lord the King verse 7 Al 's with its fulnesse let the sea most gladly roar and swell The world likewise that is most large and they that therein dwell verse 8 Now let the floods al clap their hands let hils rejoice together verse 9 Before the Lord for he doth come to judge the earth for ever With righteousnesse the world he shall judge as all men shall see And all the people of the earth also with equitie PSAL. A Joyfull noise unto the LORD ye lands make more and more verse 2 Serve GOD with gladnes yea with songs his presence come before verse 3 Know that the Lord is God it 's he not we that made us heer We are his people and the sheep even of his pasture dear verse 4 With thanksgiving enter his gates and in his courts proclame His praise be thankfull unto him and blesse his holy Name verse 5 For GOD is good his mercy great is everlasting sure And to all generations al 's his truth doth still endure PSAL. CIII O Thou my Soul most thankfully go to and blesse the LORD All that 's in me his holy Name now blesse with one accord verse 2 Blesse GOD my Soul and not forget his benefits not small verse 3 Who all thy sins forgives who al 's heals thy diseases all verse 4 Who from destruction doth redeem thy life sore pressed down Who doth with loving kindnesse thee and tender mercies crown verse 5 Who fully with good things also doth satisfie thy mouth So that ev'n like the Eagles still renewed is thy youth verse 6 The mighty Lord doth execute ev'n righteousnesse most rare And judgement also for all those that heer oppressed are verse 7 He to his servant Moses made his wayes most clearly known And unto Israels children al 's his valiant acts were shown verse 8 Both mercifull and gracious still the Lord delights to be To anger slow most plenteous al 's in mercy still is he verse 9 He though for sin he whiles us check yet will not alwayes chide Nor yet will he his anger keep for ever to abide verse 10 He not according to our sins hath dealt with us in wrath Nor after our iniquities he us rewarded hath verse 11 For as the heaven very high above the earth is set So toward them that doe him fear his mercy still is great verse 12 As far as th' East is from the West so far by his great love From us he our transgressions all in mercy doth remove verse 13 Like as a father tenderly his children pities heer So likewise the Lord pities them that truely do him fear verse 14 For he that made us all doth know our frame most perfectly He also doth remember well that but frail dust we be verse 15 As for man heer his dayes are as the grasse in ev'ry case As of the field a flower ev'n so he flourisheth a space verse 16 For over it the winde doth passe and it is gone therefore And after that the place thereof shall know it then no more verse 17 But GODS mercy for ever lasts upon them that him fear His righteousnesse doth also reach to childrens children heer verse 18 To such as still his cov'nant keep and also those unto That his commandments every one remember well to do verse 19 The Lord up in the heav'ns above prepared hath his throne And his most glorious kingdome still rules over all alone verse 20 Ye angels that excell in strength most gladly blesse the Lord Who do his precepts hearkning well to the voice of his word verse 21 Blesse chearfully the Lord all ye his hosts that do excell Ye Ministers of all his coasts that do his pleasure well verse 22 Now blesse the Lord all yee he his works and that with one accord Of his dominion in each place O my soul blesse the Lord PSAL. CXVII O Praise the Lord most thankfully ye nations great and small With heart and voice praise him also on earth ye people all verse 2 For he his kindnesse mercifull to us doth still afford For ever the LORDS truth endures praise ye alwayes the LORD PSAL. CXVIII O Give now thanks unto the Lord for he is good most sure Because his mercy alwayes great for ever doth endure verse 2 That his mercy for ay endures let Israel now say verse 3 Let Aarons house say also that his mercy lasts for ay verse 4 Let them all now that fear the Lord at this time plainly say That his mercy most wonderfull endureth firm for ay verse 5 I in distresse cald on the LORD the Lord then answerd me He by his grace in a large place anone did set me free verse 6 The Lord is alwayes on my side therefore I will not fear What mortall man do alwayes can unto me far or neer verse 7 The LORD doth take my part with them that help me willingly Therefore upon them that me hate I my desire shall see verse 8 It better is still in the Lord to trust with patience Than in a man that mortall is to put our confidence verse 9 It better is still in the Lord to trust with patience Then in those that great Princes be to put our confidence verse 10 The Nations all did compasse me about me to annoy But in the name of God the Lord I will them all destroy verse 11 They compassd me about yea 〈◊〉 did compasse me about But in the Lords name I will them destroy and quite root out verse 12 Like Bees they compassd me as of thornes they quenched fall For in the name of God the Lord I will destroy them all verse 13 That I might fal thou sore hast thriâ— But God then helped me verse 14 The Lord 's my strength song â— salvation sure is he verse 15 In tents of righteous men the voice of joy and safety is The right hand of the mighty Lord doth valiantly for his verse 16 The right hand of the Lord always is now exalted hie The right hand of the mighty Lord doth very valiantly verse 17 I shall not die but live and shew the Lords great works therefore verse 18 God hath me chastned sore but hath to death not giv'n me ov'r verse 19 The gates of tighteousnesse to me to open now accord gladly will go into them and I will praise the Lord. verse 20 This gate of the Lord into which the righteous enter shall verse 21 I 'l praise thee for thou hast me heard and art my safety all verse 22 The stone the builders did refuse is of the corner head verse 23 This is Gods doing in our eyes it marvellous is indeed verse 24 This is the day which God the Lord in mercy great hath made We greatly therefore will rejoice and in it will be glad verse 25 Save now O Lord I thee beseech O Lord I alwayes thee Humbly beseech with all my heart send now prosperitie verse 26 Who in the Name of the Lord come still blessed let him be Out of the house ev'n of the Lord you blessed all have we verse 27 God is the Lord who hath to us shew'd light in each a do Bind ye the sacrifice with cords ev'n th' Altars hornes unto verse 28 Thou art my God for this thou shalt be praisd alwayes by me Thou art my God by me therefore thou shalt exalted be verse 29 O give now thanks unto the Lord for he is good alway For his mercy most wonderfull endureth fast for ay PSAL. CXIX ALEPH. BLest are all those that undefil'd are in the holy way Who in the law of God the Lord sincerely walk alway verse 2 Blest are all they that carefully his Testimonies keep And that him ever constantly with all their heart do seek verse 3 They al 's do no iniquitie then walk still in his wayes verse 4 Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts well alwayes verse 5 O that my ways were set to keep the statutes given by thee verse 6 When I thy precepts all respect I not asham'd shall be verse 7 With uprightnesse of heart I will thee praise when well I shall Have learned for to understand thy righteous judgements all verse 8 With care I will thy statutes keep O for thy mercies sake Not utterly O Lord in wrath me thy servant forsake BETH verse 9 Wherewith all shal a young man heer his way well cleanse indeed Even still according to thy word by thereto taking head verse 10 I with my whole heart carefuâ— have sought thee ev'ry way O from thy precepts let me not now wander far away verse 11 Thy word I have hid in my hâ— lest ' gainst thee I should sin verse 12 O Lord thou blessed art mâ— thy statutes well within verse 13 I with my lips unfained have declared thankfullie Thy judgements which directed ev'n from thy mouth to me verse 14 I of thy Testimonies have rejoiced in the way As much as in the riches all that men in treasures lay verse 15 I 'le in thy precepts meditate and all thy ways respect verse 16 Thy statuts shall be my deligâ—â— thy word I 'le not forget GIMEL verse 17 Deal bountifully
's he that unto mighty Kings salvation doth afford Who David his servant doth save ev'n from the hurtfull sword verse 11 Rid save me from childreÌ„ strange whose mouth speaks vanitie And their right hand a right hand is of falsehood verily verse 12 That our dear sons as plants grown up so in their youth may be Our daughters as drest corner stones ev'n like a palace hie verse 13 That full our garners may affoord all maner of store for meat â—ur sheep may bring foorth thousands and ten thousands in our street Our oxen be to labour strong that no in breaking be 〈◊〉 going out and that our streets of all complaints be free â—at people happy is that is in such a case restor'd 〈◊〉 happy is that people sure whose great God is the Lord. PSAL. CXLVI PRaise ye the Lord his servants all and that with one accord O thou my soul most chearfully praise the almighty Lord. While as I live on earth He praise the Lord that doth me save â—'le to my GOD sing praises while I any being have Put not your trust in any way in Princes that shall fall Nor in the son of man in whom there is no help at all His breath goes foorth he returns unto his earth and clay His foolish thoughts then perish all in that same very day verse 5 He happy is that for his help hath Jacobs God to be Whose hope is founded ever fast in God his Lord most hie verse 6 Which made the heav'n and al 's the earth the sea that is most deep And all that is therein which well for ever truth doth keep verse 7 Which judgement executs for such as still oppressed be Who gives unto the hungry food GOD sets the prisoners free verse 8 The Lord opneth th'eys of the blind the Lord them that in â—hrall Are bowed down high raiseth up he loves the righteous all verse 9 The Lord the strangers doth preservâ— he orphans with renown And widows saves but wicked way he turneth upside down verse 10 The Lord O Zion still shall reign thy God by thee ador'd Unto all generations still praise ye alwayes the LORD PSALME CXLVII PRaise ye the Lord for it is good praise to our GOD to sing â—â—r it is pleasant and also praise is a comely thing The Lord his own Jerusalem builds up with beauty rare â—nd Israels outcasts all by him together gathred are He heals those of a broken heart their wounds he bindeth all He tells the number of the stars and by their names doth call Great is our Lord in all his works and of great power is he â—s understanding we perceive even infinit to be The LORD in mercy lifteth up the meek with great renown â—t to the ground the wicked man he fiercely casteth down With thanksgiving unto the Lord â— sing now most chearfullie Sing praises on the pleasant harp unto our GOD most hie verse 8 Who cov'reth all the heaven with clouds who for the earth below Prepareth rain who makes the grasse upon the mountains grow verse 9 Unto the beast his dayly food he giveth by and by And also to young tender ravens which in their hunger cry verse 10 Into the strength of any horse he hath not his delight He takes no pleasure in the legs of man of greatest might verse 11 The LORD doth take his pleasure great in them that do him fear In those that in their greatest strait hope in his mercy heer verse 12 O praise the LORD Jerusalem both with thy heart and voice O Zion al 's now see that thou to praise thy GOD rejoice For of thy mighty gates the bars well strengthned all hath he â— in his mercy great hath blest thy children all in thee He in thy borders round about makes peace and for thy meat â— doth thee fill aboundantly with finest of the wheat He his commandment on the earth foorth sendeth ever still â— word also most swiftly doth â—un to performe his will â—e likewise snow like whitest wooll gives from the blustring air â— hoar-frost he doth scatter small like ashes heer and there He also foorth doth cast his yee like morsels who so bold â—ile withdraweth far his heat can stand before his cold He sendeth out his word makes them for to melt and thowe His wind to blow he causeth al 's and then the waters flowe verse
