have_v feel_v thy_o anger_n just_o upon_o we_o for_o our_o sin_n q.d._n q.d._n so_o as_o thou_o have_v just_o turn_v away_o thy_o savour_n and_o show_v thy_o heavy_a displeasure_n against_o we_o yet_o we_o beseech_v thou_o be_v a_o reconcile_a god_n unto_o we_o again_o and_o according_a to_o the_o extremity_n of_o our_o misery_n fill_v we_o with_o thy_o mercy_n hence_o welearn_a doct._n 2_o misery_n before_o we_o be_v fill_v with_o ●nercy_n we_o must_v feel_v our_o misery_n that_o before_o we_o can_v be_v fill_v with_o god_n mercy_n we_o must_v have_v a_o lively_a sense_n of_o our_o poor_a jew_n that_o have_v imbrue_v their_o hand_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n and_o see_v how_o sensible_a they_o be_v of_o their_o sin_n and_o misery_n by_o reason_n of_o sin_n before_o they_o be_v fill_v with_o god_n mercy_n in_o the_o assurance_n of_o the_o pardon_n of_o their_o sin_n david_n he_o sit_v weladay_v night_n and_o day_n and_o water_n his_o couch_n with_o tear_n peter_n weep_v bitter_o marry_o magdalen_n wash_v the_o foot_n of_o christ_n with_o tear_n the_o jew_n cry_v out_o man_n and_o brethren_n what_o shall_v we_o do_v to_o be_v save_v in_o a_o word_n all_o of_o they_o in_o some_o measure_n have_v have_v their_o heart_n break_v have_v feel_v the_o terror_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o their_o conscience_n touch_v with_o the_o apprehension_n of_o not_o the_o hand_n yet_o it_o put_v off_o the_o glove_n it_o be_v as_o the_o needle_n that_o make_v way_n for_o the_o three_o god_n first_o give_v the_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n which_o be_v the_o spirit_n of_o fear_n and_o then_o give_v a_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n which_o give_v boldness_n and_o comfort_n when_o the_o threat_n of_o the_o law_n have_v have_v their_o proper_a work_n upon_o the_o conscience_n to_o convince_v of_o sin_n unto_o condemnation_n than_o the_o sweet_a promise_n of_o the_o gospel_n will_v prove_v seasonable_a to_o the_o humble_a soul_n to_o convince_v they_o of_o christ_n righteousness_n to_o salvation_n second_o reas_n 2_o that_o herein_o and_o hereby_o the_o lord_n may_v make_v his_o child_n come_v to_o know_v the_o price_n and_o worth_n of_o mercy_n which_o the_o lord_n will_v do_v to_o those_o upon_o who_o he_o intend_v to_o bestow_v mercy_n how_o welcome_a will_v a_o pardon_n be_v to_o a_o condemn_a person_n that_o look_v every_o day_n for_o execution_n o_o how_o precious_a will_v the_o least_o drop_n of_o christ_n blood_n be_v to_o a_o wound_a soul_n that_o pant_v and_o breath_n under_o the_o heat_n of_o god_n wrath_n for_o sin_n no_o chase_a hart_n do_v more_o earnest_o covet_v the_o soil_n than_o such_o a_o distress_a soul_n for_o christ_n beside_o reas_n 3_o 1.53_o luk._n 1.53_o all_o the_o promise_n of_o mercy_n be_v make_v misery_n they_o never_o feel_v their_o extreme_a need_n of_o god_n mercy_n and_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n to_o save_v their_o soul_n they_o do_v never_o true_o hunger_n and_o thirst_n after_o it_o but_o like_o the_o laodicean_n church_n think_v themselves_o well_o enough_o 3.17_o rev._n 3.17_o and_o need_v nothing_o but_o know_v not_o that_o they_o be_v miserable_a and_o poor_a and_o blind_a and_o naked_a will_v you_o be_v fill_v with_o god_n mercy_n will_v you_o drink_v your_o fill_n of_o the_o water_n of_o life_n then_o you_o must_v hunger_n and_o thirst_n after_o it_o and_o find_v your_o extreme_a need_n of_o mercy_n beg_v mercy_n at_o god_n hand_n with_o tear_n man_n hunger_n and_o thirst_n after_o the_o thing_n of_o this_o life_n because_o they_o feel_v the_o want_n of_o they_o but_o they_o thirst_v not_o after_o mercy_n because_o they_o feel_v no_o want_n of_o mercy_n their_o stomach_n be_v so_o cloy_v with_o the_o love_n of_o the_o world_n with_o the_o profit_n pleasure_n and_o the_o delight_n of_o the_o flesh_n that_o they_o have_v
