first-born_a only_a do_v lay_v hand_n on_o the_o levite_n be_v not_o prove_v it_o be_v true_a they_o be_v take_v instead_o of_o the_o first-born_a but_o it_o be_v the_o lord_n command_v that_o warrant_v the_o person_n to_o lay_v hand_n on_o the_o levite_n numb_a 8._o 10._o and_o that_o run_v in_o general_a to_o the_o child_n of_o israel_n and_o therefore_o do_v not_o authorise_v the_o first-born_a more_o than_o any_o other_o person_n to_o do_v it_o hence_o 2._o if_o the_o first-born_a do_v lay_v hand_n on_o the_o levite_n it_o be_v not_o by_o virtue_n of_o any_o office_n but_o in_o not_o prove_v that_o this_o lay_v on_o of_o hand_n upon_o the_o levite_n be_v a_o set_v they_o apart_o for_o a_o sacrifice_n unto_o the_o lord_n and_o therefore_o the_o objection_n be_v altogether_o groundless_a we_o do_v not_o read_v that_o hand_n be_v to_o be_v impose_v on_o all_o sacrifice_n or_o offering_n no_o not_o on_o the_o first-born_a in_o who_o stead_n the_o levite_n be_v take_v neither_o do_v we_o remember_v that_o the_o people_n be_v to_o impose_v hand_n on_o any_o but_o the_o burnt-offering_a levit._n 1._o v._o 4._o he_o shall_v put_v his_o hand_n upon_o the_o head_n of_o atonement_n or_o as_o a_o sacrifice_n but_o that_o they_o may_v execute_v the_o service_n of_o the_o lord_n so_o v._n 15_o 16._o they_o be_v indeed_o to_o make_v atonement_n for_o the_o child_n of_o israel_n but_o not_o by_o offer_v sacrifice_n for_o the_o people_n sin_n for_o that_o be_v do_v by_o the_o priest_n only_o nor_o by_o be_v a_o sacrifice_n to_o make_v atonement_n for_o they_o because_o no_o such_o end_n of_o aaron_n offer_v they_o up_o be_v prove_v and_o another_o end_n be_v mention_v v._o 13_o 14_o 15_o 16_o 21._o but_o by_o their_o other_o service_n in_o the_o text_n hand_n the_o levite_n be_v not_o thereupon_o invest_v into_o their_o office_n it_o be_v aaron_n wave_n of_o the_o levite_n and_o separate_v they_o from_o among_o the_o child_n of_o israel_n that_o do_v constitute_v and_o make_v they_o church-officer_n if_o this_o be_v full_o grant_v nothing_o be_v gain_v against_o we_o for_o we_o be_v far_o from_o think_v that_o ordination_n do_v constitute_v or_o make_v church_n officer_n much_o less_o do_v we_o imagine_v that_o imposition_n of_o hand_n do_v it_o but_o from_o hence_o we_o gather_v thus_o much_o that_o it_o be_v not_o the_o intendment_n of_o imposition_n of_o hand_n in_o old_a testament_n day_n to_o confer_v a_o office_n and_o therefore_o see_v the_o ceremony_n be_v borrow_v thence_o it_o be_v very_o unlikely_a that_o in_o new_a will_v necessary_o follow_v that_o in_o a_o church_n which_o have_v no_o officer_n some_o believer_n may_v lawful_o or_o warrantable_o ordain_v without_o officer_n if_o they_o may_v perform_v the_o same_o act_n upon_o other_o occasion_n and_o they_o be_v not_o limit_v and_o confine_v to_o officer_n upon_o this_o occasion_n than_o they_o may_v perform_v they_o here_o also_o and_o for_o the_o
