we_o come_v to_o this_o say_n of_o he_o that_o there_o shall_v be_v poor_a folk_n continual_o this_o be_v speak_v express_o to_o do_v we_o to_o understand_v that_o god_n will_v try_v our_o charity_n for_o he_o be_v rich_a enough_o to_o supply_v all_o man_n want_n and_o it_o come_v not_o of_o any_o nigardship_n that_o he_o pour_v not_o out_o his_o treasure_n upon_o us._n what_o be_v the_o cause_n then_o that_o god_n suffer_v man_n to_o be_v poor_a in_o this_o world_n but_o only_o to_o give_v we_o occasion_n to_o do_v good_a therefore_o when_o we_o see_v one_o man_n poor_a &_o another_o rich_a let_v we_o not_o attribute_v it_o to_o fortune_n but_o let_v we_o understand_v how_o it_o be_v god_n y_fw-fr t_o dispose_v thing_n so_o and_o that_o it_o be_v not_o without_o reason_n true_a it_o be_v you_o to_o our_o eye_n shall_v not_o always_o see_v why_o god_n inrich_v one_o &_o impoverish_v another_o we_o can_v discern_v you_o e_o cause_n thereof_o certain_o and_o by_o that_o mean_v god_n evil_a if_o he_o extend_v no_o cruelty_n towards_o his_o neighbour_n if_o he_o hold_v himself_o with_o tin_n his_o own_o bound_n w_o tout_fw-fr covet_v more_o than_o god_n give_v unto_o he_o it_o be_v a_o sign_n of_o honesty_n which_o have_v not_o be_v know_v if_o such_o occasion_n have_v not_o be_v minister_v unto_o he_o again_o if_o a_o man_n of_o wealth_n be_v liberal_a so_o as_o he_o endeavour_n to_o do_v good_a to_o such_o as_o have_v need_n of_o his_o help_n and_o advance_v not_o himself_o through_o pride_n &_o stateliness_n but_o always_o behave_v himself_o mild_o y_o it_o be_v a_o very_a good_a proof_n if_o another_o man_n be_v poor_a take_v patient_o whatsoever_o it_o please_v god_n to_o send_v he_o &_o moreover_o be_v not_o lead_v to_o any_o deceit_n or_o naughtiness_n how_o much_o soever_o he_o suffer_v or_o how_o hard_o soever_o his_o state_n be_v that_o also_o be_v a_o good_a &_o behooveful_a trial_n now_o they_o let_v we_o mark_v y_o it_o whereas_o there_o be_v scorn_v of_o law_n and_o it_o be_v not_o without_o cause_n that_o our_o lord_n speak_v of_o it_o here_o for_o it_o show_v that_o the_o like_a kind_n of_o corrupt_a deal_n have_v be_v in_o all_o age_n and_o we_o must_v not_o marvel_v at_o it_o see_v that_o the_o world_n be_v not_o amend_v since_o but_o rather_o appair_v let_v we_o look_v well_o about_o we_o therefore_o that_o if_o a_o man_n which_o have_v commit_v any_o misdeed_n do_v go_v about_o to_o hide_v himself_o or_o to_o escape_v away_o by_o some_o undirect_a mean_n it_o may_v not_o avail_v he_o that_o be_v the_o thing_n which_o we_o have_v to_o mark_v in_o the_o first_o place_n and_o whereas_o it_o be_v say_v that_o the_o judge_n shall_v pull_v he_o away_o it_o serve_v to_o show_v that_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o for_o man_n to_o make_v good_a law_n &_o statute_n but_o there_o must_v also_o be_v courage_n to_o execute_v they_o there_o must_v be_v a_o stout_a and_o constant_a mind_n in_o those_o that_o bear_v authority_n for_o although_o that_o law_n be_v proclaim_v by_o the_o sound_n of_o the_o trumpet_n and_o write_v of_o record_n with_o never_o so_o great_a solemnity_n yet_o be_v they_o but_o dead_a and_o all_o be_v nothing_o worth_a except_o that_o they_o which_o sit_v in_o the_o seat_n of_o justice_n have_v the_o constancy_n that_o our_o lord_n injoin_v here_o and_o be_v stout_a in_o maintain_v the_o thing_n fear_n yet_o it_o may_v not_o turn_v they_o away_o from_o do_v their_o duty_n for_o what_o a_o thing_n be_v it_o if_o we_o shall_v be_v afraid_a at_o every_o turn_n the_o lift_v up_o of_o a_o man_n little_a finger_n will_v scare_v we_o and_o though_o we_o be_v never_o so_o willing_a to_o do_v our_o duty_n yet_o if_o any_o man_n step_v afore_o we_o to_o turn_v we_o from_o our_o purpose_n every_o that_o although_o he_o speak_v of_o war_n yet_o he_o give_v good_a instruction_n to_o his_o people_n and_o every_o of_o us._n and_o therefore_o let_v we_o remember_v that_o whensoever_o any_o man_n have_v offend_v we_o we_o must_v as_o much_o as_o in_o we_o lie_v endeavour_n to_o fall_v to_o agreement_n with_o our_o enemy_n as_o how_o by_o warn_v they_o of_o their_o fault_n for_o destroy_v all_o the_o man_n reserve_v only_o the_o young_a child_n the_o woman_n and_o the_o gatteli_n true_a it_o be_v that_o although_o a_o city_n fall_v to_o composition_n yet_o will_v he_o have_v it_o to_o become_v tributary_n for_o as_o i_o say_v afore_o he_o presuppose_v that_o the_o war_n must_v be_v rightful_a and_o allow_v by_o he_o as_o make_v in_o his_o name_n and_o by_o his_o authority_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v not_o to_o be_v wonder_v at_o though_o he_o lay_v tribute_n upon_o those_o that_o submit_v themselves_o for_o why_o it_o be_v as_o a_o penalty_n like_a as_o in_o ministration_n of_o justice_n man_n punish_v offender_n according_a to_o the_o law_n and_o when_o the_o case_n require_v not_o the_o punishment_n of_o death_n there_o be_v some_o other_o chastisement_n or_o amercement_n lay_v upon_o they_o for_o a_o penalty_n even_o so_o our_o lord_n give_v leave_v to_o such_o as_o have_v just_a title_n of_o war_n to_o lay_v some_o correction_n upon_o those_o who_o they_o shall_v have_v vanquish_v and_o subdue_v and_o herein_o we_o see_v how_o we_o ought_v to_o take_v good_a heed_n that_o we_o give_v no_o cause_n of_o war_n for_o whereas_o we_o see_v our_o lord_n have_v give_v his_o people_n leave_v lay_v tribute_n upon_o other_o it_o be_v all_o one_o as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v that_o all_o such_o as_o minister_v occasion_n of_o trouble_n be_v to_o be_v punish_v and_o that_o if_o they_o be_v bear_v with_o it_o be_v but_o of_o favour_n and_o courtesy_n but_o yet_o be_v they_o worthy_a to_o have_v some_o correction_n for_o all_o that_o &_o village_n be_v make_v to_o every_o tribe_n insomuch_o that_o every_o city_n have_v the_o country_n about_o it_o and_o the_o town_n and_o village_n in_o it_o be_v call_v as_o it_o be_v the_o daughter_n of_o that_o city_n yet_o notwithstanding_o in_o this_o case_n our_o lord_n will_v have_v they_o to_o make_v a_o new_a survey_n and_o measure_n of_o the_o distance_n of_o place_n again_o god_n and_o that_o be_v the_o cause_n why_o that_o order_n be_v require_v in_o this_o case_n and_o therefore_o moses_n add_v that_o god_n have_v appoint_v they_o to_o serve_v he_o and_o to_o bless_v in_o his_o name_n and_o that_o it_o belong_v to_o they_o to_o judge_v of_o leprosy_n and_o all_o other_o like_o thing_n and_o of_o all_o other_o kind_n of_o uncleanness_n wherewith_o the_o people_n may_v be_v defile_v in_o attribute_v this_o office_n unto_o they_o he_o declare_v to_o what_o purpose_n their_o presence_n ought_v to_o serve_v in_o this_o act_n also_o there_o be_v prayer_n to_o be_v have_v the_o rigour_n of_o justice_n use_v howbeit_o with_o such_o moderation_n as_o it_o behoove_v even_o where_o the_o violence_n that_o have_v be_v do_v be_v not_o of_o any_o great_a importance_n sure_o it_o be_v a_o much_o more_o likelihood_n in_o reason_n that_o if_o there_o be_v any_o great_a trespass_n commit_v as_o if_o a_o man_n be_v maim_v in_o his_o member_n the_o offender_n shall_v not_o in_o that_o behalf_n be_v spare_v as_o we_o have_v see_v in_o a_o other_o place_n that_o a_o eye_n shall_v be_v give_v for_o a_o eye_n a_o arm_n for_o a_o arm_n a_o foot_n for_o a_o foot_n insomuch_o that_o if_o a_o man_n have_v offede_v in_o such_o a_o case_n it_o be_v not_o for_o man_n to_o show_v mercy_n but_o the_o malefactor_n must_v pass_v under_o the_o edge_n of_o the_o sword_n that_o if_o the_o judge_n and_o magistrate_n suffer_v such_o wickedness_n unpunished_a there_o be_v no_o excuse_n for_o they_o and_o why_o for_o if_o there_o be_v a_o poor_a man_n a_o man_n of_o no_o account_n such_o a_o one_o as_o man_n may_v bob_v out_o his_o eye_n and_o he_o complain_v god_n will_v have_v he_o hear_v yea_o and_o he_o will_v have_v right_o do_v unto_o he_o how_o much_o more_o then_o if_o there_o be_v as_o it_o be_v a_o waterfludde_n that_o overflow_v all_o wherein_o every_o man_n have_v interest_n and_o the_o whole_a state_n of_o a_o people_n stand_v in_o hazard_n by_o food_n when_o he_o have_v do_v his_o work_n but_o god_n take_v pity_n of_o he_o because_o he_o be_v his_o creature_n and_o he_o will_v not_o have_v we_o to_o abuse_v the_o beast_n beyond_o measure_n
