destiny_n lot_n or_o condition_n not_o submit_v to_o or_o content_a with_o the_o providence_n of_o god_n to_o &_o about_o they_o and_o then_o with_o reference_n to_o the_o middle_a clause_n of_o the_o say_a prophecy_n walk_v after_o their_o own_o ungodly_a lust_n not_o keep_v they_o to_o the_o word_n and_o will_n of_o god_n set_v before_o they_o in_o the_o gospel_n but_o as_o complain_v of_o the_o purity_n severity_n or_o simplicity_n of_o that_o they_o break_v those_o bond_n and_o transgress_v those_o bound_n that_o they_o may_v walk_v after_o their_o own_o imagination_n both_o as_o to_o faith_n and_o manner_n v_o 1.6_o and_o their_o mouth_n speak_v great_a swell_a word_n as_o of_o their_o part_n worth_n attainment_n or_o as_o in_o 2_o pet._n 2.18_o 19_o the_o parallel_a place_n to_o this_o epistle_n they_o promise_v other_o liberty_n they_o talk_v of_o be_v free_a from_o and_o above_o those_o rule_n of_o faith_n and_o worship_n that_o christ_n have_v prescribe_v and_o promise_v they_o or_o as_o seek_v to_o avoid_v those_o suffering_n and_o persecution_n that_o they_o be_v then_o expose_v to_o probable_o pretend_v more_o holiness_n but_o real_o cast_v off_o christ_n government_n yoke_n and_o discipline_n in_o his_o church_n sensual_a or_o lead_v by_o their_o carnal_a understanding_n and_o imagination_n have_v no_o high_a principle_n to_o guide_v they_o and_o so_o savour_v of_o such_o animal_n or_o sensual_a thing_n only_o not_o have_v the_o spirit_n the_o spirit_n of_o faith_n to_o make_v they_o live_v by_o faith_n in_o the_o hope_n and_o expectation_n of_o the_o come_n and_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n which_o these_o deceiver_n deny_v and_o make_v a_o mock_n of_o and_o so_o of_o the_o eternal_a life_n that_o god_n have_v promise_v to_o those_o that_o worship_v he_o and_o trust_v in_o he_o by_o jesus_n christ_n ver_fw-la 19_o now_o after_o all_o these_o thing_n have_v so_o various_o and_o abundant_o both_o describe_v these_o deceiver_n &_o admonish_v the_o right_a believer_n of_o they_o he_o come_v in_o these_o 20_o and_o 21_o verse_n to_o exhort_v and_o counsel_v they_o to_o what_o may_v be_v of_o great_a concernment_n to_o themselves_o and_o one_o another_o in_o opposition_n to_o the_o way_n and_o practice_v of_o those_o ungodly_a person_n and_o that_o they_o may_v be_v keep_v from_o their_o infection_n and_o the_o dangerous_a fruit_n thereof_o but_o you_o belove_v build_v up_o yourselves_o on_o your_o most_o holy_a faith_n pray_v in_o the_o holy_a ghost_n keep_v yourselves_o in_o the_o love_n of_o god_n wait_v for_o the_o mercy_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n unto_o eternal_a life_n ver_fw-la 21_o 22_o wherein_o we_o have_v a_o serious_a and_o heavenly_a counsel_n give_v to_o faithful_a and_o great_a thing_n exhort_v and_o direct_v too_o can_v be_v to_o any_o purpose_n either_o do_v or_o attempt_v by_o they_o wait_v for_o the_o mercy_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n unto_o eternal_a life_n the_o two_o former_a the_o compellation_n or_o title_n give_v these_o person_n to_o who_o this_o epistle_n be_v write_v and_o their_o distinction_n from_o the_o ungodly_a and_o deceiver_n before_o describe_v and_o warn_v of_o we_o shall_v not_o insist_v upon_o much_o only_o we_o may_v note_v from_o the_o first_o obs_o 1._o that_o such_o as_o abide_v in_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n and_o walk_v therein_o when_o other_o turn_v from_o it_o abuse_n or_o oppose_v it_o be_v worthy_a of_o and_o be_v to_o be_v respect_v with_o more_o love_n by_o those_o who_o be_v over_o they_o in_o the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o minister_v the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n among_o man_n than_o such_o as_o slight_a and_o depart_v therefrom_o and_o so_o they_o be_v belove_v of_o the_o apostle_n and_o servant_n of_o christ_n as_o well_o as_o of_o christ_n himself_o in_o their_o age_n for_o this_o word_n belove_v signify_v not_o only_o pity_v commiserate_v or_o person_n for_o who_o good_a be_v desire_v for_o so_o much_o love_n may_v and_o shall_v be_v testify_v to_o other_o whilst_o there_o be_v hope_n for_o they_o that_o they_o may_v be_v save_v as_o paul_n testify_v such_o love_n to_o the_o unbelieve_a jew_n who_o stumble_v at_o the_o stumble_a stone_n and_o submit_v not_o themselves_o to_o the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n rom._n 9.33_o and_o 10.1_o 2_o 3._o and_o it_o be_v to_o brethren_n believer_n in_o christ_n be_v dear_o care_v for_o value_v and_o prize_v of_o god_n and_o christ_n object_n of_o their_o especial_a care_n and_o affection_n and_o partaker_n of_o his_o grace_n and_o love_n or_o 2._o that_o they_o be_v especial_o among_o man_n care_v for_o own_a value_v and_o delightful_o affect_v by_o they_o the_o apostle_n and_o their_o fellow-labourer_n they_o be_v therein_o of_o the_o mind_n of_o god_n and_o christ_n to_o love_n and_o affect_v especial_o those_o who_o with_o special_a care_n and_o affection_n be_v embrace_v of_o christ_n and_o of_o god_n in_o and_o through_o he_o all_o man_n be_v to_o be_v honour_v but_o the_o brotherhood_n in_o a_o special_a sense_n to_o be_v belove_v 1_o pet._n 2.17_o not_o only_o though_o special_o also_o with_o of_o christ_n in_o he_o and_o then_o in_o his_o fruit_n and_o usefulness_n to_o other_o in_o word_n and_o work_v and_o for_o the_o glorify_v of_o god_n to_o and_o among_o they_o and_o show_v to_o they_o the_o way_n of_o righteousness_n which_o be_v righteous_a he_o do_v also_o practice_n and_o exercise_v himself_o to_o his_o lip_n feed_v many_o and_o his_o tongue_n be_v as_o choice_a silver_n the_o faith_n of_o christ_n and_o therefore_o much_o more_o than_o the_o wicked_a apostate_n and_o deceiver_n that_o be_v tree_n twice_o dead_a and_o pluck_v up_o by_o the_o root_n as_o this_o apostle_n say_v for_o they_o be_v corrupt_v and_o their_o heart_n wicked_a and_o their_o work_n and_o fruit_n abominable_a and_o wretched_a be_v fall_v from_o god_n and_o his_o truth_n there_o be_v less_o hope_n of_o they_o than_o of_o any_o other_o for_o better_v
god_n but_o now_o in_o this_o observation_n that_o follow_v fair_o from_o the_o word_n as_o the_o main_a thing_n here_o direct_o exhort_v to_o by_o the_o apostle_n there_o be_v divers_a thing_n imply_v that_o we_o shall_v take_v distinct_a notice_n of_o as_o to_o say_v 1._o that_o possible_o believer_n may_v go_v out_o of_o or_o from_o the_o love_n of_o god_n they_o may_v not_o abide_v in_o it_o yea_o 2._o that_o there_o be_v no_o necessity_n that_o he_o must_v do_v so_o he_o may_v keep_v himself_o therein_o and_o then_o 3._o there_o be_v great_a danger_n if_o care_n be_v not_o take_v of_o and_o in_o turn_v out_o of_o it_o or_o from_o it_o 4._o that_o it_o be_v expect_v from_o he_o and_o in_o some_o sense_n lie_v upon_o he_o as_o his_o work_n to_o keep_v themselves_o and_o each_o believer_n his_o brother_n therein_o 1._o point_n 1._o that_o such_o as_o do_v believe_v may_v possible_o go_v out_o from_o the_o love_n of_o god_n this_o will_n on_o every_o hand_n be_v grant_v concern_v such_o as_o be_v feign_v false-hearted_a believer_n counterfeit_a christian_n and_o hypocrite_n if_o it_o may_v be_v grant_v as_o it_o may_v not_o that_o such_o be_v in_o the_o love_n of_o god_n in_o that_o choice_a sense_n of_o the_o word_n love_n here_o understand_v and_o mean_v but_o indeed_o such_o as_o and_z while_o such_o be_v not_o nor_o can_v be_v in_o his_o love_n he_o can_v own_v justify_v and_o approve_v of_o such_o and_o therefore_o to_o say_v such_o may_v fall_v from_o it_o be_v to_o speak_v absurd_o and_o inconsistent_o with_o the_o truth_n they_o be_v not_o such_o that_o the_o apostle_n here_o write_v to_o but_o such_o as_o be_v sanctify_v of_o god_n the_o father_n preserve_v in_o jesus_n christ_n and_o call_v and_o therefore_o be_v whole_o of_o another_o stamp_n from_o those_o hypocrite_n false_a pretender_n and_o deceiver_n of_o who_o and_o of_o who_o way_n they_o be_v warn_v and_o admonish_v and_o from_o all_o such_o as_o man_n common_o say_v may_v fall_v from_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n which_o they_o must_v be_v in_o before_o they_o can_v fall_v from_o these_o be_v belove_v of_o god_n and_o his_o apostle_n and_o yet_o to_o such_o he_o write_v
