and_o have_v their_o house_n rend_n free_a and_o many_o time_n eat_v their_o bread_n at_o other_o man_n table_n and_o yet_o for_o the_o most_o part_n they_o die_v poor_a man_n and_o far_o in_o debt_n and_o leave_v behind_o they_o both_o wife_n and_o child_n destitute_a of_o call_v and_o maintenance_n which_o be_v a_o plain_a case_n to_o i_o that_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n be_v upon_o this_o generation_n in_o curse_v that_o which_o they_o will_v have_v bless_v and_o therefore_o i_o will_v confess_v that_o i_o be_v oversee_v in_o the_o entrance_n into_o this_o discourse_n when_o i_o move_v you_o to_o persuade_v these_o man_n to_o bequeathe_v some_o thing_n to_o their_o brethren_n that_o be_v scholar_n breed_v for_o i_o do_v not_o consider_v that_o though_o they_o receive_v much_o yet_o they_o have_v but_o little_a to_o give_v because_o it_o be_v not_o bless_v for_o increase_v but_o i_o shall_v rather_o have_v comfort_v you_o with_o give_v you_o knowledge_n that_o god_n have_v provide_v maintenance_n for_o his_o minister_n as_o well_o as_o for_o his_o people_n that_o they_o need_v not_o bow_v to_o you_o for_o a_o morsel_n of_o bread_n for_o god_n teach_v his_o apostle_n to_o work_v with_o their_o hand_n as_o paul_n say_v that_o his_o hand_n minister_v to_o his_o necessity_n and_o those_o that_o be_v with_o he_o act_n 20._o 34._o not_o that_o paul_n may_v not_o receive_v of_o the_o people_n carnal_a thing_n for_o he_o declare_v the_o contrary_a in_o another_o scripture_n and_o i_o hope_v all_o the_o lord_n people_n will_v confess_v that_o the_o labourer_n
themselves_o to_o keep_v in_o a_o whole_a skin_n i_o answer_v if_o they_o do_v evil_a in_o it_o that_o evil_a be_v to_o be_v pass_v by_o for_o it_o be_v very_o probable_a that_o they_o do_v know_v that_o the_o great_a canon_n be_v already_o make_v and_o that_o they_o be_v mighty_o charge_v and_o overcharge_v as_o it_o may_v appear_v by_o their_o shiver_n in_o piece_n but_o if_o they_o have_v hold_v to_o have_v be_v shoot_v off_o they_o may_v easy_o perceive_v that_o they_o may_v beat_v hole_n in_o their_o own_o skin_n as_o well_o as_o in_o other_o man_n and_o they_o see_v the_o plague_n before_o hand_n may_v be_v bear_v with_o to_o hide_v themselves_o but_o you_o say_v you_o stand_v without_o they_o here_o in_o the_o gap_n and_o prevail_v with_o god_n i_o answer_v it_o may_v be_v conceive_v that_o they_o prevail_v with_o god_n who_o pray_v do_o so_o much_o for_o england_n when_o they_o be_v out_o of_o it_o for_o god_n will_v not_o hear_v sinner_n *_o 31._o therefore_o you_o for_o your_o kingdom_n of_o priest_n it_o shall_v neither_o stand_v without_o they_o nor_o with_o they_o for_o though_o the_o prophet_n seek_v to_o heal_v babel_n yet_o it_o can_v not_o be_v heal_v for_o your_o horn_n shall_v be_v knock_v off_o and_o methinks_v i_o hear_v the_o decree_n go_v forth_o that_o your_o kingdom_n be_v divide_v and_o therefore_o you_o have_v need_n to_o set_v down_o your_o resolution_n that_o it_o shall_v not_o long_o stand_v but_o the_o kingdom_n of_o england_n may_v safe_o stand_v with_o toleration_n four_o you_o say_v for_o this_o objection_n of_o be_v good_a man_n you_o will_v answer_v it_o at_o large_a in_o another_o tractate_n wherein_o you_o say_v you_o shall_v mind_v man_n of_o many_o danger_n that_o may_v arise_v to_o they_o from_o good_a and_o agree_v with_o you_o in_o the_o main_a in_o point_n of_o doctrine_n and_o practise_v may_v be_v tolerate_v and_o spare_v in_o some_o thing_n wherein_o they_o differ_v from_o that_o which_o be_v common_o receive_v indeed_o you_o have_v make_v divers_a answer_n to_o this_o already_o for_o it_o be_v before_o your_o own_o question_n in_o some_o of_o your_o reason_n allege_v against_o they_o where_o you_o affirm_v that_o you_o justify_v much_o both_o bear_v and_o forbear_v and_o have_v also_o set_v the_o counsel_n of_o ancient_a father_n before_o they_o to_o teach_v they_o to_o hear_v with_o other_o both_o in_o point_n of_o doctrine_n and_o practice_n wherein_o they_o may_v something_o differ_v from_o that_o which_o be_v common_o receive_v but_o here_o further_o you_o add_v a_o more_o large_a answer_n that_o you_o still_o say_v it_o be_v your_o judgement_n that_o there_o shall_v be_v bear_v in_o many_o difference_n of_o opinion_n and_o practice_n so_o as_o christian_n ought_v not_o to_o judge_v nor_o censure_v one_o another_o nor_o refuse_v communion_n and_o fellowship_n by_o â—ot_n admit_v man_n into_o their_o church_n and_o to_o the_o ordinance_n you_o have_v seem_v all_o this_o while_n to_o be_v afraid_a lest_o they_o shall_v admit_v too_o many_o into_o their_o church_n and_o now_o you_o seem_v to_o say_v it_o be_v the_o fault_n of_o the_o independent_a church_n to_o deny_v communion_n to_o many_o saint_n for_o some_o difference_n in_o judgement_n about_o church-government_n and_o order_n now_o if_o this_o be_v true_a as_o you_o say_v it_o be_v they_o be_v so_o far_o from_o steal_v away_o your_o member_n that_o they_o will_v not_o receive_v they_o into_o fellowship_n if_o there_o be_v difference_n in_o judgement_n *_o popery_n for_o which_o you_o here_o seem_v to_o blame_v they_o and_o therefore_o i_o think_v you_o will_v have_v they_o open_v the_o mouth_n of_o their_o church_n wide_a even_o as_o wide_o as_o you_o but_o the_o scripture_n have_v declare_v that_o the_o gate_n of_o the_o holy_a city_n be_v of_o a_o equal_a wideness_n for_o they_o be_v never_o shut_v rev._n 21._o 25._o and_o yet_o they_o be_v so_o well_o watch_v by_o the_o angel_n of_o god_n even_o the_o minister_n of_o christ_n jesus_n that_o there_o shall_v be_v no_o unclean_a thing_n suffer_v to_o enter_v in_o thereat_o etc._n etc._n *_o 27._o here_o you_o may_v see_v if_o any_o of_o you_o attempt_v to_o come_v in_o who_o be_v so_o ignorant_a and_o scandalous_a and_o spot_a as_o you_o say_v they_o be_v they_o shall_v not_o be_v suffer_v among_o we_o for_o indeed_o they_o be_v fit_a for_o no_o society_n but_o the_o society_n of_o your_o father_n house_n yet_o i_o say_v if_o any_o of_o these_o do_v creepâ—_z in_fw-la it_o be_v through_o the_o neglect_n of_o the_o portor_n which_o the_o lord_n have_v set_v to_o watch_v or_o else_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v by_o their_o cunning_a transfigure_v themselves_o to_o be_v that_o which_o they_o be_v not_o but_o you_o say_v you_o will_v not_o have_v man_n force_v to_o change_v their_o mind_n and_o opinion_n by_o cast_v they_o violent_o out_o of_o the_o ministry_n and_o church_n which_o you_o say_v be_v the_o practice_n of_o many_o in_o these_o late_a time_n and_o have_v cause_v so_o many_o schism_n and_o strife_n among_o you_o 52._o well_o here_o all_o man_n may_v take_v notice_n that_o it_o be_v the_o cruelty_n of_o the_o clergy_n that_o cause_v the_o schism_n and_o strife_n by_o force_v man_n to_o change_v their_o mind_n and_o not_o the_o practice_n of_o the_o separation_n as_o you_o here_o acknowledge_v therefore_o in_o this_o confession_n you_o have_v cross_v the_o tenor_n of_o many_o of_o your_o other_o argument_n as_o that_o the_o separate_v have_v cause_v strife_n in_o the_o three_o kingdom_n and_o that_o they_o have_v make_v the_o rent_n and_o schism_n which_o now_o you_o acknowledge_v to_o be_v do_v by_o they_o that_o force_n man_n to_o change_v their_o mind_n which_o be_v the_o clergy_n of_o england_n further_o you_o say_v that_o you_o approve_v not_o of_o such_o practice_n but_o desire_v to_o be_v a_o follower_n and_o lover_n of_o the_o way_n of_o peace_n and_o communion_n with_o any_o who_o agree_v in_o the_o main_a and_o have_v something_o of_o god_n and_o christ_n in_o they_o i_o answer_v if_o you_o approve_v not_o of_o such_o practice_n i_o hope_v you_o will_v not_o hereafter_o be_v a_o occasion_n to_o move_v magistrate_n to_o force_v man_n to_o change_v their_o mind_n and_o so_o justify_v yourself_o in_o that_o you_o condemn_v in_o other_o for_o you_o confess_v yourself_o that_o though_o these_o independent_a man_n spirit_n be_v grow_v narrow_a even_o close_v up_o from_o you_o yet_o they_o continue_v good_a in_o the_o main_a *_o â—_z and_o then_o sure_o they_o have_v something_o of_o god_n and_o of_o christ_n in_o they_o you_o say_v further_o that_o the_o practice_n of_o the_o ancient_a father_n that_o plead_v for_o bear_v be_v
