unadvised_o with_o his_o lip_n to_o god_n dishonour_n and_o this_o no_o man_n be_v free_a from_o but_o some_o in_o one_o part_n some_o in_o one_o kind_n and_o some_o in_o another_o all_o god_n people_n before_o they_o be_v aware_a be_v many_o time_n carry_v away_o and_o surprise_v before_o they_o can_v recollect_v themselves_o to_o know_v what_o their_o duty_n be_v but_o yet_o there_o be_v a_o three_o sort_n and_o that_o seem_v to_o go_v deep_o and_o that_o be_v 3._o when_o they_o do_v not_o only_o know_v it_o to_o be_v a_o sin_n but_o deliberate_o commit_v it_o i_o mean_v that_o the_o heart_n be_v tempt_v to_o such_o a_o thing_n say_v the_o soul_n it_o be_v abominable_a it_o be_v against_o god_n i_o will_v not_o do_v it_o but_o betake_v itself_o to_o prayer_n pray_v the_o lord_n to_o assist_v and_o strengthen_v he_o the_o temptation_n come_v again_o and_o gather_v upon_o he_o that_o though_o he_o do_v resist_v it_o yet_o he_o have_v not_o strength_n enough_o to_o overcome_v it_o &_o the_o ground_n of_o it_o be_v because_o the_o holy_a spirit_n who_o be_v a_o free_a agent_n communicate_v so_o much_o strength_n to_o he_o as_o to_o stir_v up_o his_o grace_n and_o to_o draw_v they_o out_o into_o the_o field_n in_o god_n cause_n and_o to_o oppose_v the_o enemy_n and_o give_v he_o some_o strength_n to_o resist_v it_o but_o not_o strength_n enough_o to_o overcome_v it_o but_o leave_v he_o unfit_a and_o without_o sufficient_a strength_n against_o that_o temptation_n and_o of_o this_o i_o think_v the_o apostle_n paul_n main_o mean_v in_o all_o his_o discourse_n in_o rom._n 7._o where_o in_o the_o person_n of_o a_o regenerate_v man_n he_o say_v the_o thing_n i_o will_v not_o do_v i_o do_v and_o when_o i_o will_v do_v good_a evil_a overcome_v i_o i_o will_v they_o and_o buffet_n they_o and_o tread_v they_o under_o foot_n then_o they_o be_v ready_a to_o think_v that_o all_o the_o world_n can_v satisfy_v they_o that_o these_o be_v but_o infirmity_n these_o can_v be_v the_o spot_n of_o god_n people_n and_o so_o that_o neither_o the_o lord_n own_o servant_n may_v be_v discourage_v nor_o wicked_a man_n get_v a_o cloak_n i_o will_v a_o little_a discover_v how_o you_o may_v clear_o know_v what_o be_v the_o infirmity_n of_o the_o saint_n and_o wherein_o they_o differ_v from_o the_o rebellion_n of_o those_o that_o be_v the_o lord_n enemy_n and_o for_o therefore_o remember_v that_o be_v a_o corrupt_a rule_n and_o all_o you_o that_o please_v yourselves_o with_o this_o that_o god_n keep_v you_o from_o the_o great_a abomination_n you_o be_v no_o whoremaster_n you_o keep_v not_o a_o harlot_n and_o you_o be_v no_o cozener_n nor_o cheater_n in_o your_o trade_n though_o it_o may_v be_v your_o oath_n be_v faith_n and_o troth_n and_o prittle_v prattle_n and_o slight_v of_o holy_a duty_n you_o will_v have_v these_o thing_n pass_v for_o infirmity_n no_o you_o will_v see_v this_o be_v no_o rule_n that_o be_v one_o remember_v you_o must_v not_o judge_v of_o infirmity_n from_o the_o matter_n but_o only_o from_o another_o rule_n which_o i_o will_v give_v you_o and_o that_o be_v this_o 2._o whosoever_o can_v but_o right_o judge_v of_o a_o external_a object_n that_o will_v stir_v up_o this_o corrupt_a nature_n temptation_n from_o the_o devil_n that_o will_v inflame_v it_o when_o these_o stir_n and_o god_n spirit_n do_v not_o assist_v then_o be_v all_o the_o lord_n people_n so_o weak_a and_o feeble_a that_o infallible_o they_o sin_v against_o he_o and_o this_o be_v the_o nature_n of_o the_o sin_n of_o infirmity_n that_o be_v the_o a_o man_n may_v seem_v to_o be_v turn_v from_o christ_n and_o betake_v himself_o into_o the_o tent_n of_o his_o enemy_n to_o fight_v against_o he_o as_o if_o he_o will_v be_v a_o ranter_n against_o the_o feast_n of_o tabernacle_n be_v never_o keep_v according_a to_o god_n institution_n for_o a_o thousand_o year_n together_o that_o they_o be_v by_o god_n institution_n to_o keep_v it_o not_o in_o be_v so_o keep_v that_o either_o they_o have_v forget_v it_o or_o the_o generation_n be_v unacquainted_a but_o now_o when_o god_n people_n do_v any_o of_o they_o in_o their_o speech_n or_o action_n tell_v you_o by_o the_o way_n that_o be_v but_o this_o one_o thing_n understand_v it_o will_v go_v a_o great_a way_n to_o make_v the_o servant_n of_o god_n less_o harsh_a than_o they_o be_v one_o to_o another_o the_o lord_n give_v they_o so_o much_o light_n to_o own_o it_o he_o see_v such_o a_o thing_n as_o clear_v as_o the_o sun_n to_o be_v the_o institution_n of_o god_n or_o the_o mind_n of_o god_n or_o the_o way_n of_o god_n in_o this_o or_o that_o duty_n of_o the_o first_o or_o second_o table_n and_o then_o because_o he_o see_v it_o he_o be_v ready_a to_o condemn_v all_o the_o world_n administration_n of_o christ_n will_n that_o be_v carry_v on_o in_o ordinance_n and_o no_o other_o way_n i_o know_v sure_o i_o be_o the_o scripture_n be_v silent_a in_o it_o therefore_o friend_n for_o such_o as_o be_v concern_v in_o it_o they_o will_v not_o be_v here_o to_o hear_v it_o nor_o any_o where_o else_o they_o count_v it_o a_o folly_n but_o to_o your_o sober_a christian_n that_o desire_v to_o go_v to_o heaven_n and_o to_o walk_v with_o the_o lord_n in_o his_o own_o way_n give_v i_o leave_v to_o say_v this_o therefore_o i_o confess_v our_o division_n and_o subdivision_n in_o other_o mystery_n and_o gentleman_n upon_o their_o wealth_n but_o as_o a_o christian_a we_o have_v no_o other_o live_v or_o way_n of_o live_v to_o god_n but_o only_o our_o faith_n now_o because_o it_o be_v our_o life_n and_o our_o trade_n and_o our_o profession_n it_o will_v be_v a_o horrible_a shame_n to_o be_v find_v bungler_n in_o that_o that_o be_v proper_o our_o own_o mystery_n if_o a_o man_n be_v a_o poor_a low_a thing_n in_o comparison_n of_o depend_v upon_o he_o more_o immediate_o that_o have_v incomprehensible_a glory_n it_o be_v ignoble_a three_o in_o this_o world_n it_o be_v the_o easy_a life_n i_o will_v speak_v it_o i_o humble_o bless_v the_o lord_n that_o i_o have_v any_o experience_n of_o it_o in_o my_o own_o soul_n but_o i_o dare_v speak_v it_o as_o divine_a truth_n to_o live_v by_o faith_n be_v the_o easy_a life_n under_o heaven_n do_v not_o mistake_v i_o i_o mean_v not_o it_o be_v easy_a learn_v that_o a_o man_n may_v learn_v it_o with_o a_o wet_a finger_n oh_o it_o be_v a_o hard_a trade_n to_o learn_v and_o this_o may_v be_v one_o motive_n it_o be_v not_o easy_o get_v but_o my_o meaning_n be_v that_o when_o once_o the_o soul_n have_v learn_v it_o that_o it_o will_n i_o repeat_v it_o again_o and_o i_o pray_v if_o you_o be_v not_o satisfy_v in_o it_o now_o study_v it_o and_o i_o will_v be_v bind_v to_o recant_v it_o as_o the_o say_n be_v at_o paul_n cross_n never_o require_v and_o they_o afflict_v themselves_o and_o make_v their_o life_n uncomfortable_a in_o thing_n that_o god_n have_v not_o appoint_v as_o not_o to_o tell_v you_o of_o many_o poor_a creature_n in_o popery_n that_o will_v thrust_v themselves_o into_o monastery_n god_n never_o require_v it_o but_o my_o meaning_n be_v study_v the_o word_n you_o can_v never_o study_v any_o thing_n that_o so_o much_o concern_v you_o therefore_o there_o learn_v your_o duty_n the_o duty_n that_o belong_v to_o your_o relation_n and_o particular_a place_n where_o god_n have_v set_v you_o for_o to_o know_v the_o will_n of_o god_n concern_v i_o argue_v a_o honest_a heart_n more_o than_o to_o know_v the_o will_n of_o god_n concern_v other_o but_o study_v to_o know_v the_o word_n in_o the_o position_n in_o any_o art_n in_o logic_n grammar_n rhetoric_n philosophy_n or_o what_o you_o will_v when_o a_o conclusion_n be_v make_v and_o prove_v a_o sophister_n rise_v up_o and_o he_o shall_v slur_v it_o all_o especial_o with_o weak_a people_n so_o it_o be_v with_o carnal_a man_n whereas_o a_o promise_n and_o a_o direction_n of_o the_o word_n look_v upon_o by_o faith_n appear_v like_o the_o sun_n in_o its_o strength_n look_v upon_o the_o very_a same_o with_o carnal_a reason_n and_o carnal_a sense_n and_o it_o look_v like_o the_o moon_n in_o eclipse_n a_o dark_a body_n it_o have_v no_o light_n at_o all_o in_o it_o oh_o therefore_o watch_v against_o it_o and_o the_o rather_o because_o we_o be_v man_n and_o from_o our_o mother_n womb_n we_o be_v corrupt_a man_n and_o therefore_o
