fruition_n â—f_o his_o joy_n be_v false_a his_o life_n be_v a_o dream_n but_o if_o that_o be_v true_a his_o life_n be_v life_n indeed_o the_o philosopher_n define_v life_n a_o act_n with_o delight_n intimate_v that_o so_o much_o as_o this_o be_v want_v there_o be_v so_o much_o of_o death_n in_o life_n and_o as_o our_o spiritual_a life_n consist_v in_o serve_v god_n so_o we_o do_v nothing_o well_o for_o god_n but_o what_o we_o do_v cheerful_o none_o but_o the_o righteous_a can_v claim_v this_o privilege_n conclu_n 4._o that_o this_o privilege_n and_o duty_n belong_v to_o none_o but_o these_o for_o delight_n but_o when_o man_n do_v sinful_o rejoice_v in_o they_o they_o therein_o transgress_v and_o great_o provoke_v god_n thereby_o there_o be_v a_o mad_a mirth_n which_o man_n take_v in_o the_o good_a thing_n of_o god_n of_o which_o the_o wise_a man_n tell_v we_o eccles_n 2._o 1._o i_o say_v of_o laughter_n it_o be_v mad_a and_o have_v that_o sacrasmons_n concession_n chap._n 11._o 9_o which_o it_o find_v to_o do_v it_o good_a and_o this_o answer_v the_o inclination_n of_o the_o affection_n and_o the_o creature_n will_v of_o its_o own_o accord_n fall_v into_o it_o and_o there_o must_v be_v force_n put_v upon_o nature_n if_o it_o be_v suppress_v &_o this_o be_v accommodate_v by_o the_o common_a goodness_n of_o god_n in_o which_o he_o make_v both_o good_a and_o bad_a to_o partake_v mat_n 5._o 45._o act_n 14._o 17._o it_o be_v certain_o a_o benefit_n to_o the_o outward_a man_n to_o have_v health_n and_o peace_n and_o plenty_n by_o which_o it_o be_v support_v and_o refresh_v and_o this_o give_v the_o affection_n of_o joy_n a_o motive_n by_o which_o it_o be_v excite_v psal_n 4._o 7._o and_o here_o let_v we_o observe_v 1._o that_o this_o natural_a joy_n be_v in_o itself_o a_o duty_n consider_v it_o abstract_o and_o sure_o ungodly_a man_n owe_v to_o god_n thankfulness_n for_o every_o mercy_n they_o partake_v in_o and_o the_o good_a they_o taste_v in_o it_o shall_v excite_v they_o to_o thankfulness_n ingratitude_n be_v condemn_v in_o the_o heathen_a rom._n 1._o 21._o and_o that_o which_o we_o be_v thankful_a for_o suppose_v that_o we_o rejoice_v in_o it_o else_o we_o can_v aright_o express_v our_o thankfulness_n 2._o but_o a_o wicked_a man_n can_v thus_o rejoice_v lawful_o he_o must_v cease_v to_o be_v wicked_a and_o become_v upright_o before_o
