there_o be_v plain_a and_o evident_a proof_n that_o a_o wise_a and_o just_a providence_n do_v govern_v the_o world_n that_o god_n make_v such_o a_o difference_n at_o present_a between_o good_a and_o bad_a man_n as_o the_o good_a government_n of_o this_o world_n require_v this_o be_v a_o sufficient_a reason_n to_o expect_v a_o more_o exact_a impartial_a universal_a judgement_n of_o good_a and_o bad_a man_n in_o the_o next_o world_n to_o state_n this_o matter_n plain_o and_o to_o make_v a_o very_a sensible_a argument_n of_o it_o i_o shall_v 1._o show_v you_o what_o evidence_n we_o have_v of_o a_o divine_a justice_n and_o providence_n which_o govern_v the_o world_n at_o present_a 2._o the_o force_n of_o this_o consequence_n from_o the_o providence_n of_o god_n in_o this_o world_n to_o a_o judgement_n in_o the_o next_o i._o what_o evidence_n we_o have_v of_o a_o divine_a justice_n and_o providence_n which_o govern_v the_o world_n and_o i_o shall_v begin_v 1._o with_o that_o divine_a and_o if_o all_o humane_a art_n and_o philosophy_n can_v make_v a_o fly_n nor_o so_o much_o as_o understand_v the_o make_v of_o it_o how_o can_v we_o possible_o imagine_v that_o such_o a_o world_n as_o this_o which_o consist_v of_o such_o infinite_a variety_n of_o creature_n and_o every_o creature_n make_v up_o of_o so_o many_o natural_a wonder_n and_o all_o so_o admirable_o fit_v to_o each_o other_o as_o to_o make_v up_o a_o uniform_a regular_a and_o beautiful_a world_n shall_v own_o any_o other_o author_n but_o a_o infinite_o wise_a and_o perfect_a be_v who_o have_v all_o power_n and_o all_o possible_a idea_n of_o usefulness_n and_o beauty_n that_o be_v to_o say_v since_o there_o be_v such_o apparent_a character_n and_o impression_n of_o a_o excellent_a and_o unsearchable_a wisdom_n in_o the_o frame_n of_o the_o world_n a_o wise_a be_v must_v be_v the_o maker_n of_o it_o and_o be_v it_o not_o as_o good_a a_o argument_n that_o if_o humane_a nature_n be_v so_o contrive_v that_o man_n who_o be_v a_o free_a agent_n shall_v be_v happy_a or_o miserable_a as_o he_o be_v good_a or_o bad_a that_o god_n make_v he_o to_o be_v govern_v and_o therefore_o intend_v to_o govern_v he_o nay_o do_v more_o than_o intend_v it_o for_o he_o contrive_v his_o nature_n so_o as_o to_o govern_v itself_o for_o though_o he_o have_v make_v he_o a_o free_a agent_n yet_o he_o have_v leave_v and_o blood_n or_o will_v hazard_v their_o ease_n and_o fortune_n in_o this_o world_n it_o be_v sufficient_a to_o confute_v any_o law_n of_o our_o saviour_n or_o to_o interpret_v it_o away_o to_o show_v that_o there_o be_v great_a temporal_a inconvenience_n in_o it_o that_o to_o observe_v such_o law_n in_o such_o a_o sense_n will_v be_v very_o injurious_a to_o man_n present_a interest_n and_o deprive_v they_o of_o many_o pleasure_n and_o advantage_n of_o life_n it_o be_v easy_a to_o give_v many_o instance_n of_o this_o but_o it_o shall_v suffice_v at_o present_a to_o confess_v that_o consider_v the_o state_n of_o this_o world_n and_o the_o propensity_n and_o inclination_n of_o humane_a nature_n some_o law_n of_o our_o saviour_n be_v very_o unreasonable_a be_v there_o not_o a_o future_a judgement_n to_o reward_v the_o severity_n and_o suffering_n which_o good_a man_n must_v undergo_v in_o observe_v of_o they_o and_o therefore_o we_o must_v have_v a_o care_n of_o reject_v righteous_a judge_n of_o the_o world_n it_o be_v a_o know_a rule_n of_o righteousness_n to_o do_v as_o we_o will_v be_v do_v to_o and_o all_o mankind_n think_v it_o very_o just_a to_o suffer_v what_o as_o they_o be_v i_o confess_v i_o can_v see_v no_o impiety_n in_o it_o nor_o any_o such_o mighty_a fault_n as_o be_v pretend_v the_o church_n do_v not_o pretend_v to_o judge_v any_o man_n final_a not_o do_v that_o we_o may_v say_v we_o hope_v still_o suppose_v our_o hope_n be_v no_o more_o than_o a_o charitable_a wish_n how_o can_v that_o offend_v god_n that_o we_o wish_v well_o even_o to_o very_o bad_a man_n a_o excess_n of_o charity_n a_o unwillingness_n that_o any_o man_n shall_v be_v eternal_o miserable_a be_v no_o fault_n i_o be_o sure_a it_o be_v a_o great_a to_o pronounce_v the_o know_v and_o see_v all_o this_o be_v there_o any_o reason_n
such_o matter_n as_o we_o can_v give_v no_o account_n of_o there_o may_v be_v plain_a reason_n assign_v why_o no_o account_n can_v be_v give_v of_o they_o in_o this_o world_n 1._o as_o for_o the_o first_o it_o be_v easy_a to_o give_v many_o instance_n of_o it_o there_o be_v many_o thing_n which_o mankind_n great_o complain_v of_o and_o for_o which_o they_o think_v themselves_o very_o hardly_o use_v by_o god_n which_o upon_o a_o true_a estimate_n of_o thing_n consider_v the_o corrupt_a state_n of_o humane_a nature_n be_v great_o for_o the_o happiness_n of_o the_o world_n and_o though_o they_o be_v inflict_v as_o punishment_n by_o god_n yet_o have_v a_o excellent_a temperament_n of_o wisdom_n and_o goodness_n this_o i_o have_v former_o show_v you_o as_o to_o that_o sentence_n of_o death_n which_o god_n pronounce_v against_o mankind_n after_o the_o fall_n of_o our_o first_o parent_n 1_o dust_n thou_o be_v and_o to_o dust_n thou_o shall_v return_v and_o as_o to_o his_o shorten_n the_o life_n of_o man_n after_o the_o flood_n and_o i_o shall_v now_o give_v another_o instance_n in_o that_o curse_n god_n pronounce_v upon_o the_o earth_n for_o the_o sin_n of_o man_n to_o which_o we_o owe_v most_o of_o that_o pain_n and_o toil_n and_o labour_v which_o be_v under_o the_o sun_n and_o most_o of_o the_o misery_n and_o calamity_n of_o humane_a life_n and_o if_o in_o this_o also_o the_o wisdom_n and_o goodness_n as_o well_o as_o the_o justice_n and_o severity_n of_o god_n appear_v i_o hope_v it_o will_v convince_v we_o how_o reasonable_a it_o be_v to_o be_v modest_a in_o our_o censure_n of_o providence_n and_o to_o conclude_v that_o god_n be_v equal_o wise_a and_o good_a in_o those_o thing_n which_o we_o do_v not_o understand_v the_o justice_n of_o this_o be_v very_o of_o the_o air_n and_o over_o every_o live_a thing_n that_o move_v on_o the_o earth_n 1_o gen._n 28._o now_o we_o find_v by_o experience_n that_o they_o have_v cast_v off_o this_o yoke_n and_o very_o often_o revenge_v the_o quarrel_n of_o their_o maker_n upon_o apostate_n man._n thus_o man_n fall_v from_o the_o glory_n and_o happiness_n of_o his_o nature_n and_o yet_o if_o we_o wise_o consider_v thing_n we_o shall_v find_v excellent_a wisdom_n and_o goodness_n even_o in_o this_o curse_n for_o man_n have_v corrupt_v himself_o the_o best_a state_n he_o can_v be_v put_v into_o be_v a_o industrious_a and_o laborious_a life_n to_o force_v he_o to_o work_v hard_a to_o get_v his_o live_n and_o to_o earn_v his_o bread_n with_o the_o sweat_n of_o his_o brow_n which_o be_v the_o necessary_a and_o immediate_a effect_n of_o god_n curse_v the_o ground_n that_o whereas_o before_o the_o earth_n will_v have_v supply_v man_n with_o all_o thing_n for_o his_o necessity_n and_o delight_n without_o his_o care_n and_o labour_n now_o it_o will_v not_o yield_v its_o increase_n of_o itself_o but_o bring_v forth_o briar_n and_o thorn_n and_o as_o difficult_a a_o state_n as_o this_o be_v it_o be_v very_o fit_a for_o fall_v man_n 1._o a_o laborious_a life_n be_v of_o great_a use_n to_o subdue_v the_o fleshly_a principle_n and_o to_o prevent_v the_o opportunity_n and_o occasion_n and_o temptation_n to_o sin_n the_o experience_n of_o the_o world_n tell_v we_o that_o nothing_o more_o corrupt_v man_n manner_n than_o idleness_n the_o flesh_n grow_v rampant_a with_o sloth_n and_o luxury_n and_o time_n itself_o be_v so_o uneasy_a and_o troublesome_a when_o we_o have_v nothing_o to_o do_v that_o man_n rather_o choose_v to_o be_v wicked_a then_o to_o be_v idle_a and_o therefore_o god_n who_o foresee_v the_o degeneracy_n of_o mankind_n by_o the_o fall_n have_v provide_v work_n for_o we_o that_o with_o the_o sweat_n of_o our_o brow_n we_o must_v eat_v our_o bread_n 2._o this_o do_v not_o only_o employ_v the_o body_n but_o the_o mind_n of_o man_n put_v they_o upon_o the_o study_n of_o philosophy_n and_o the_o invention_n of_o art_n and_o science_n upon_o observe_v the_o work_v of_o nature_n and_o dependence_n of_o cause_n and_o effect_n to_o observe_v the_o motion_n of_o the_o heaven_n the_o sun_n and_o moon_n and_o planet_n thereby_o to_o know_v the_o season_n of_o the_o year_n and_o to_o fix_v the_o time_n of_o their_o return_n it_o be_v this_o necessity_n to_o which_o we_o owe_v the_o most_o useful_a discovery_n in_o nature_n which_o be_v not_o only_o very_o beneficial_a to_o the_o world_n but_o a_o very_a delightful_a entertainment_n and_o the_o most_o natural_a ornament_n and_o perfection_n of_o our_o mind_n 3._o the_o necessity_n of_o humane_a life_n be_v the_o foundation_n of_o humane_a society_n and_o make_v man_n combine_v together_o for_o mutual_a help_n and_o comfort_n for_o though_o man_n be_v a_o sociable_a creature_n and_o delight_v with_o humane_a conversation_n yet_o in_o this_o degenerate_a state_n nothing_o be_v a_o great_a endearment_n than_o our_o mutual_a dependence_n upon_o each_o other_o that_o we_o can_v live_v single_a and_o apart_o because_o we_o want_v a_o great_a many_o thing_n which_o the_o skill_n and_o labour_n of_o other_o man_n must_v supply_v we_o with_o now_o this_o oblige_v we_o to_o the_o exercise_n of_o all_o friendly_a and_o sociable_a virtue_n bring_v we_o under_o government_n without_o which_o humane_a society_n can_v subsist_v and_o this_o lay_v great_a restraint_n upon_o the_o lust_n of_o man_n and_o by_o a_o strict_a discipline_n train_v they_o up_o to_o the_o practice_n of_o moral_a virtue_n which_o be_v a_o good_a mean_n to_o correct_v the_o degeneracy_n of_o humane_a nature_n it_o inspire_v we_o with_o principle_n of_o love_n and_o humanity_n of_o justice_n and_o charity_n and_o soften_v and_o polish_v our_o nature_n by_o the_o mutual_a endearment_n of_o conversation_n it_o make_v we_o friend_n to_o mankind_n give_v we_o a_o sense_n of_o injury_n and_o a_o abhorrence_n of_o they_o and_o which_o be_v more_o than_o this_o it_o give_v public_a countenance_n and_o encouragement_n to_o religion_n for_o public_a government_n must_v encourage_v religion_n because_o religion_n be_v its_o great_a defence_n and_o support_n and_o this_o make_v some_o man_n sincere_o religious_a and_o devout_a and_o force_v some_o external_a sign_n of_o honour_n from_o those_o who_o have_v little_a sense_n or_o reverence_n of_o a_o deity_n which_o though_o it_o do_v no_o good_a to_o they_o be_v for_o the_o advantage_n of_o the_o world_n so_o that_o this_o curse_n in_o the_o necessary_a consequence_n of_o it_o be_v the_o great_a blessing_n to_o mankind_n which_o be_v a_o abundant_a justification_n of_o the_o wisdom_n and_o goodness_n of_o god_n in_o it_o a_o more_o easy_a state_n of_o life_n do_v better_o become_v a_o state_n of_o innocence_n but_o since_o the_o fall_n such_o a_o easy_a careless_a unconcerned_a life_n will_v have_v sink_v he_o low_a into_o sensuality_n and_o make_v his_o recovery_n more_o desperate_a and_o hopeless_a it_o be_v easy_a to_o give_v many_o instance_n of_o this_o nature_n to_o justify_v the_o divine_a wisdom_n and_o goodness_n in_o such_o passage_n of_o

why_o the_o final_a judgement_n when_o good_a man_n shall_v receive_v their_o final_a reward_n shall_v not_o be_v till_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n because_o this_o old_a world_n must_v be_v destroy_v before_o god_n make_v those_o new_a heaven_n and_o new_a earth_n the_o final_a destruction_n of_o bad_a man_n will_v begin_v with_o the_o destruction_n of_o this_o old_a world_n and_o the_o reward_n and_o happiness_n of_o good_a man_n shall_v be_v consummate_v in_o the_o new_a world_n whatever_o that_o be_v where_o they_o shall_v dwell_v for_o ever_o in_o the_o immediate_a presence_n of_o god_n and_o of_o the_o lamb._n now_o that_o god_n defer_v the_o day_n of_o judgement_n to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n may_n 1._o convince_v we_o of_o god_n great_a patience_n and_o long-suffering_a towards_o sinner_n for_o he_o forbear_v their_o execution_n as_o long_o as_o he_o can_v forbear_v destroy_v the_o world_n and_o that_o we_o may_v be_v sure_o be_v as_o long_o as_o wisdom_n and_o justice_n will_v permit_v to_o destroy_v a_o world_n be_v a_o work_n of_o as_o great_a wisdom_n and_o counsel_n as_o to_o make_v one_o nay_o the_o divine_a goodness_n will_v easy_o justify_v the_o make_n of_o a_o world_n at_o any_o time_n for_o no_o time_n be_v unfit_a to_o exercise_v such_o act_n of_o goodness_n as_o will_v justify_v themselves_o but_o for_o god_n to_o destroy_v the_o world_n which_o he_o have_v make_v without_o great_a necessity_n for_o it_o reflect_v upon_o his_o wisdom_n and_o goodness_n in_o make_v it_o the_o wise_a maker_n of_o the_o world_n can_v have_v no_o inclination_n to_o destroy_v it_o and_o though_o the_o justice_n of_o providence_n may_v require_v some_o more_o hasty_a execution_n to_o maintain_v good_a order_n and_o government_n and_o to_o give_v check_n to_o vice_n yet_o the_o final_a destruction_n of_o the_o world_n require_v all_o wise_a delay_n and_o sinner_n can_v expect_v no_o more_o of_o god_n than_o to_o defer_v their_o final_a sentence_n as_o long_o as_o he_o can_v defer_v the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n it_o be_v great_a pity_n that_o such_o goodness_n and_o patience_n shall_v be_v so_o monstrous_o abuse_v that_o man_n shall_v harden_v themselves_o in_o sin_n and_o conclude_v that_o god_n will_v not_o judge_v the_o world_n because_o he_o be_v so_o unwilling_a to_o destroy_v it_o but_o this_o will_v justify_v the_o severity_n of_o the_o last_o judgement_n that_o it_o be_v not_o the_o effect_n of_o a_o hasty_a and_o sudden_a fury_n but_o of_o mature_a counsel_n that_o god_n do_v not_o want_v goodness_n to_o spare_v sinner_n as_o long_o as_o wisdom_n and_o justice_n can_v spare_v they_o to_o be_v slow_a to_o execute_v judgement_n be_v as_o essential_a to_o goodness_n as_o it_o be_v to_o justice_n at_o last_o to_o punish_v and_o to_o conclude_v that_o god_n will_v not_o punish_v at_o all_o because_o he_o be_v patient_a and_o delay_n to_o punish_v be_v to_o prove_v that_o god_n can_v be_v just_a because_o he_o be_v good_a 2._o that_o god_n destroy_v the_o world_n when_o he_o judge_v it_o be_v a_o undeniable_a proof_n of_o the_o severity_n of_o the_o last_o judgement_n for_o what_o can_v be_v serious_a but_o for_o some_o few_o minute_n let_v they_o imagine_v all_o the_o world_n on_o fire_n about_o they_o the_o heaven_n cover_v with_o thick_a darkness_n and_o the_o whole_a earth_n but_o one_o vulcano_n one_o aetna_n or_o vesuvius_n vomit_v up_o river_n of_o burn_a sulphur_n and_o themselves_o plunge_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o it_o let_v they_o try_v how_o they_o can_v bear_v this_o thought_n before_o they_o laugh_v at_o hell_n for_o this_o will_v certain_o be_v the_o state_n of_o sinner_n at_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n and_o shall_v not_o this_o make_v we_o fear_v and_o tremble_v before_o that_o great_a and_o powerful_a judge_n who_o know_v the_o power_n of_o his_o wrath_n who_o can_v live_v with_o devour_a fire_n who_o can_v dwell_v with_o everlasting_a burn_n what_o a_o irresistible_a judge_n be_v he_o who_o can_v destroy_v the_o world_n and_o all_o sinner_n with_o it_o the_o world_n that_o be_v their_o god_n and_o now_o will_v be_v their_o funeral_n pile_n according_a to_o the_o fate_n of_o some_o heathen_a idolater_n they_o shall_v be_v sacrifice_v to_o their_o own_o god_n and_o torment_v in_o the_o embrace_n of_o a_o burn_a idol_n the_o destruction_n of_o the_o world_n give_v a_o terrible_a pomp_n and_o solemnity_n to_o the_o last_o judgement_n it_o will_v astonish_v bad_a man_n and_o break_v their_o stout_a heart_n to_o see_v the_o world_n in_o flame_n it_o will_v convince_v they_o to_o purpose_n that_o god_n be_v come_v to_o judge_v they_o and_o that_o he_o be_v very_o severe_a and_o terrible_a in_o his_o judgement_n who_o can_v describe_v the_o horror_n and_o agony_n and_o consternation_n of_o that_o day_n cast_v your_o thought_n back_o a_o little_a upon_o that_o terrible_a day_n when_o you_o see_v london_n on_o fire_n when_o you_o see_v your_o house_n and_o treasure_n all_o vanish_v into_o dust_n and_o smoke_n what_o do_v you_o think_v then_o of_o the_o power_n and_o justice_n of_o god_n and_o yet_o this_o be_v no_o more_o than_o a_o little_a boan-fire_n compare_v with_o the_o universal_a conflagration_n though_o you_o can_v not_o save_v your_o house_n and_o furniture_n and_o treasure_n from_o its_o rage_n and_o fury_n yet_o there_o be_v room_n leave_v for_o your_o own_o escape_n and_o if_o this_o be_v so_o amaze_a

preach_v to_o we_o himself_o for_o we_o may_v be_v sure_o he_o will_v not_o preach_v in_o vain_a the_o law_n he_o preach_v to_o we_o at_o his_o first_o come_n shall_v be_v the_o rule_n whereby_o he_o of_o dispense_v with_o our_o obedience_n to_o those_o law_n which_o by_o his_o prophet_n he_o command_v we_o to_o obey_v but_o we_o can_v think_v that_o our_o saviour_n will_v lay_v any_o unnecessary_a burden_n on_o we_o that_o he_o will_v require_v any_o thing_n of_o we_o under_o the_o pain_n of_o damnation_n but_o what_o he_o expect_v we_o shall_v do_v that_o he_o will_v dispense_v with_o the_o term_n of_o the_o gospel_n whicâ—_n be_v themselves_o a_o dispensation_n with_o the_o rigour_n of_o the_o law_n for_o there_o must_v be_v a_o end_n of_o dispense_v somewhere_o unless_o grace_n can_v dispense_v away_o all_o our_o duty_n and_o dispense_v unreformed_a and_o impenitent_a sinner_n into_o heaven_n if_o this_o can_v be_v do_v there_o be_v no_o reason_n why_o the_o saviour_n of_o the_o world_n shall_v have_v preach_v at_o all_o or_o have_v give_v any_o law_n to_o mankind_n if_o he_o will_v have_v no_o regard_n to_o they_o in_o judge_v the_o world_n but_o if_o the_o judge_n of_o the_o world_n become_v a_o preacher_n it_o concern_v we_o diligent_o to_o hearken_v to_o he_o for_o whether_o we_o will_v obey_v his_o law_n or_o no_o we_o shall_v be_v judge_v by_o they_o 2._o this_o give_v great_a credit_n to_o his_o promise_n and_o threaten_n when_o they_o be_v make_v by_o our_o judge_n himself_o who_o have_v authority_n to_o execute_v they_o have_v christ_n promise_v pardon_n of_o sin_n to_o all_o true_a penitent_n have_v he_o promise_v to_o raise_v our_o dead_a body_n out_o of_o the_o grave_a immortal_a and_o glorious_a to_o bestow_v a_o crown_n and_o kingdom_n on_o we_o then_o we_o may_v depend_v on_o it_o that_o he_o will_v do_v what_o he_o have_v promise_v for_o he_o who_o have_v promise_v be_v able_a also_o to_o perform_v he_o have_v authority_n to_o forgive_v sin_n to_o raise_v the_o dead_a to_o receive_v all_o his_o disciple_n into_o heaven_n into_o the_o immediate_a presence_n of_o god_n there_o to_o live_v and_o to_o rejoice_v for_o ever_o and_o when_o he_o who_o come_v to_o save_v we_o and_o 〈◊〉_d promise_v this_o great_a salvation_n to_o we_o have_v power_n to_o give_v it_o when_o he_o who_o have_v make_v these_o as_o much_o reason_n to_o expect_v that_o christ_n will_v certain_o execute_v that_o vengeance_n on_o they_o which_o he_o have_v threaten_v that_o he_o will_v condemn_v they_o to_o eternal_a night_n and_o darkness_n to_o lake_n of_o fire_n and_o brimstone_n where_o there_o be_v weep_v and_o wail_v and_o gnash_v of_o tooth_n for_o evermore_o for_o he_o be_v the_o judge_n of_o the_o world_n who_o have_v power_n and_o authority_n to_o do_v it_o and_o have_v declare_v that_o he_o will_v do_v it_o and_o then_o we_o have_v reason_n to_o take_v his_o word_n for_o it_o man_n be_v apt_a to_o shelter_v themselves_o from_o the_o terror_n of_o the_o law_n by_o the_o merit_n and_o and_o mediation_n and_o mercy_n of_o a_o saviour_n god_n indeed_o be_v very_o just_a and_o severe_a a_o consume_a fire_n and_o who_o can_v abide_v his_o come_n but_o the_o bless_a jesus_n be_v a_o merciful_a and_o compassionate_a saviour_n he_o be_v so_o infinite_o merciful_a but_o yet_o this_o merciful_a saviour_n have_v threaten_v everlasting_a fire_n against_o incorrigible_a sinner_n and_o he_o be_v our_o judge_n too_o and_o if_o he_o will_v condemn_v we_o at_o the_o last_o day_n what_o hope_n be_v there_o for_o we_o where_o shall_v we_o find_v another_o saviour_n to_o deliver_v we_o it_o seem_v he_o be_v not_o all_o mercy_n as_o sinner_n be_v apt_a to_o flatter_v themselves_o no_o he_o be_v a_o judge_n and_o a_o terrible_a judge_n and_o
if_o our_o saviour_n will_v judge_v we_o it_o be_v dangerous_a to_o neglect_v so_o great_a salvation_n that_o god_n do_v not_o intend_v mere_o to_o fright_v sinner_n with_o his_o threaten_n be_v evident_a from_o the_o suffering_n of_o our_o saviour_n he_o can_v not_o save_v we_o without_o make_v atonement_n and_o expiation_n for_o our_o sin_n and_o if_o he_o must_v undergo_v the_o curse_n reward_n of_o christ_n humiliation_n and_o suffering_n he_o become_v man_n to_o save_v mankind_n though_o he_o be_v in_o the_o form_n of_o god_n and_o think_v it_o not_o robbery_n to_o be_v equal_a with_o god_n yet_o he_o make_v himself_o of_o no_o reputation_n and_o take_v upon_o he_o the_o form_n of_o a_o servant_n and_o be_v make_v in_o the_o likeness_n of_o man_n and_o be_v find_v in_o fashion_n as_o a_o man_n he_o humble_v himself_o and_o become_v obedient_a unto_o death_n even_o the_o death_n of_o the_o cross_n 2_o phil._n 6_o 7_o 8._o this_o be_v a_o very_a low_a condescension_n for_o the_o son_n of_o god_n to_o conceal_v his_o eternal_a majesty_n under_o so_o mean_v a_o disguise_n of_o flesh_n and_o blood_n to_o become_v man_n as_o we_o be_v to_o submit_v to_o all_o the_o weakness_n and_o infirmity_n of_o humane_a nature_n to_o choose_v a_o low_a and_o mean_a fortune_n to_o be_v treat_v with_o contempt_n and_o infamy_n and_o to_o die_v a_o painful_a and_o accurse_a death_n upon_o the_o cross._n all_o this_o he_o submit_v to_o in_o obedience_n to_o his_o father_n will_n for_o the_o redemption_n of_o mankind_n but_o it_o be_v not_o fit_v this_o son_n of_o he_o persecute_v he_o spit_v on_o he_o nail_v he_o to_o the_o cross_n those_o who_o in_o all_o age_n since_o have_v deride_v the_o crucify_a jesus_n and_o scorn_v his_o religion_n and_o worship_n see_v nothing_o of_o his_o glory_n but_o when_o he_o come_v to_o judge_v the_o world_n than_o his_o glory_n and_o power_n shall_v be_v visible_a to_o all_o this_o will_v put_v a_o end_n to_o the_o reproach_n of_o the_o cross_n and_o turn_v it_o into_o surprise_n and_o wonder_n when_o they_o shall_v see_v what_o a_o glorious_a person_n he_o be_v who_o submit_v to_o so_o infamous_a a_o death_n when_o he_o come_v into_o the_o world_n he_o appear_v as_o other_o man_n do_v as_o mean_a as_o the_o mean_a man_n clothe_v with_o a_o mortal_a body_n of_o flesh_n and_o blood_n without_o any_o external_a splendour_n of_o birth_n or_o fortune_n to_o recommend_v he_o but_o when_o this_o son_n of_o man_n shall_v return_v again_o to_o judge_v the_o world_n his_o external_a appearance_n will_v then_o be_v glorious_a so_o bright_a and_o transplendent_a that_o he_o will_v eclipse_v the_o sun_n as_o the_o sun_n do_v the_o lesser_a light_n of_o heaven_n then_o god_n will_v be_v as_o visible_a in_o he_o as_o man_n be_v on_o earth_n and_o shine_v through_o humane_a nature_n as_o the_o soul_n do_v through_o the_o body_n that_o a_o incarnate_a god_n will_v be_v as_o visible_a as_o a_o man_n humane_a nature_n will_v no_o long_o veil_n and_o conceal_v the_o glory_n of_o the_o godhead_n but_o shall_v bear_v all_o the_o visible_a impression_n of_o the_o deity_n and_o appear_v with_o the_o
