answer_v the_o bond_n of_o humanity_n in_o such_o act_n nay_o how_o then_o can_v they_o answer_v the_o power_n of_o sanctity_n in_o they_o for_o the_o sake_n of_o edification_n of_o all_o soul_n to_o three_o question_n more_o i_o be_o draw_v forth_o in_o the_o light_n to_o answer_v quest_n 1_o what_o be_v the_o first_o powerful_a operation_n of_o the_o light_n in_o the_o soul_n after_o convincement_n of_o sin_n answ_n judgement_n condemnation_n and_o death_n of_o the_o mind_n of_o transgression_n which_o must_v of_o necessity_n be_v for_o the_o cause_n of_o the_o righteousness_n of_o the_o king_n of_o glory_n unto_o who_o no_o life_n in_o sin_n and_o corruption_n can_v unite_v for_o the_o soul_n go_v into_o it_o go_v out_o from_o he_o into_o the_o enmity_n against_o he_o and_o his_o law_n of_o righteousness_n and_o no_o part_n of_o that_o can_v ever_o enter_v into_o he_o because_o it_o be_v never_o of_o he_o and_o because_o he_o have_v infuse_v a_o righteous_a law_n into_o the_o inward_a part_n of_o necessity_n therefore_o there_o must_v be_v a_o power_n of_o judgement_n to_o execute_v the_o righteousness_n of_o the_o law_n in_o the_o place_n that_o it_o be_v put_v upon_o that_o which_o break_v it_o which_o power_n in_o righteousness_n must_v absolute_o bring_v condemnation_n upon_o that_o mind_n which_o be_v the_o transgressor_n in_o man_n and_o the_o condemnation_n must_v as_o sure_o bring_v death_n by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o executor_n that_o no_o part_n of_o that_o mind_n may_v evermore_o live_v but_o the_o mind_n in_o which_o no_o transgression_n be_v which_o be_v before_o transgression_n be_v which_o must_v be_v perfect_o wrought_v before_o man_n can_v enter_v again_o into_o the_o first_o similitude_n to_o unite_v with_o the_o and_o there_o enter_v into_o that_o internal_a power_n which_o stand_v in_o the_o cross_n to_o the_o other_o nature_n which_o will_v daily_o slay_v every_o carnal_a affection_n in_o the_o first_o suggestion_n and_o appearance_n and_o break_v the_o cockatrice_n egg_n before_o the_o serpent_n be_v hatch_v and_o thus_o all_o will_v come_v to_o see_v that_o the_o inward_a and_o visible_a cross_n to_o the_o inward_a mind_n of_o the_o world_n and_o the_o flesh_n keep_v the_o soul_n clean_o out_o of_o the_o mind_n of_o the_o world_n and_o the_o flesh_n in_o the_o mind_n of_o the_o eternal_a spirit_n again_o watch_v to_o fear_v in_o every_o joy_n and_o enjoyment_n of_o every_o glorious_a and_o heavenly_a gift_n lest_o the_o joy_n shall_v slip_v out_o of_o the_o true_a measure_n and_o a_o sense_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o gift_n exalt_v the_o heart_n above_o the_o measure_n of_o the_o light_n through_o which_o it_o come_v and_o in_o which_o the_o unity_n with_o the_o king_n of_o glory_n stand_v and_o here_o all_o which_o come_v to_o see_v that_o fear_n keep_v every_o joy_n and_o enjoyment_n of_o heavenly_a gift_n perfect_a to_o the_o measure_n wherein_o all_o perfection_n to_o the_o dust_n from_o whence_o it_o come_v and_o the_o soul_n be_v from_o thenceforth_o clothe_v and_o array_v with_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o life_n of_o the_o king_n of_o glory_n even_o for_o ever_o and_o evermore_o quest_n whether_o man_n after_o be_v restore_v unto_o the_o brightness_n of_o the_o first_o similitude_n and_o enter_v into_o unity_n with_o the_o incorruptible_a glory_n through_o death_n of_o the_o degenerate_v part_n may_v not_o fail_v from_o the_o glory_n and_o enter_v again_o into_o the_o degeneration_n and_o curse_n answ_n in_o the_o work_n of_o creation_n it_o be_v to_o be_v know_v as_o former_o mention_v that_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n simple_o be_v not_o create_v immutable_a though_o clean_o pure_a and_o holy_a in_o a_o state_n of_o innocency_n for_o the_o eternal_a wisdom_n reserve_v that_o virtue_n power_n and_o most_o glorious_a property_n of_o immutability_n in_o himself_o only_o that_o he_o above_o all_o thing_n may_v be_v know_v as_o the_o supreme_a power_n over_o all_o the_o create_a thing_n and_o according_o fear_v love_a obey_v and_o live_v in_o which_o state_n i_o have_v show_v man_n go_v out_o of_o and_o degenerate_v from_o and_o which_o unite_v with_o the_o incorruptible_a glory_n unto_o which_o state_n it_o be_v possible_a in_o the_o light_n for_o all_o mankind_n to_o attain_v yet_o if_o they_o abide_v not_o in_o the_o immutable_a power_n of_o preservation_n that_o create_v their_o soul_n but_o go_v from_o the_o unchangeable_a life_n into_o the_o variable_a consultation_n with_o flesh_n and_o its_o reason_n and_o sensual_a wisdom_n they_o may_v return_v backward_o as_o the_o sea_n locust_n and_o canker_n and_o become_v as_o the_o swine_n that_o be_v once_o wash_v but_o lo_o wallow_v again_o in_o the_o mire_n and_o the_o house_n may_v be_v clean_o sweep_v yet_o except_o there_o be_v a_o watch_n still_o keep_v seven_o unclean_a spirit_n may_v enter_v that_o be_v worse_o than_o the_o former_a which_o be_v drive_v forth_o and_o a_o virgin_n state_n may_v be_v attain_v unto_o but_o unless_o the_o oil_n of_o wisdom_n in_o watchfulness_n diligence_n and_o fear_v be_v
and_o nature_n they_o be_v in_o order_n therefore_o to_o the_o true_a and_o pure_a knowledge_n of_o the_o eternal_a sun_n of_o the_o soul_n it_o be_v absolute_o necessary_a for_o all_o people_n to_o understand_v that_o nothing_o corruptible_a can_v see_v that_o glory_n and_o brightness_n which_o be_v incorruptible_a to_o discern_v aright_o what_o it_o be_v that_o they_o may_v not_o be_v always_o seek_v and_o never_o come_v to_o find_v and_o ever_o learning_n but_o never_o able_a to_o come_v to_o the_o true_a knowledge_n seek_v in_o the_o backward_a way_n and_o learning_n in_o a_o book_n of_o lie_n and_o next_o to_o know_v that_o man_n station_n be_v in_o sin_n and_o corruption_n in_o absolute_a contrariety_n to_o the_o pure_a nature_n of_o incorruption_n and_o consequent_o have_v no_o unity_n with_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o incorruptible_a one_o nor_o have_v the_o true_a knowledge_n of_o he_o and_o therefore_o in_o worship_v he_o worship_v he_o know_v not_o what_o which_o if_o contrariwise_o all_o be_v unite_v in_o the_o life_n to_o the_o life_n and_o glory_n of_o the_o eternal_a sun_n and_o power_n then_o will_v they_o all_o know_v that_o incorruptible_a one_o and_z peace_n pure_a life_n and_o nature_n to_o which_o purpose_n and_o glorious_a matter_n tend_v to_o the_o everlasting_a blessing_n of_o all_o nation_n and_o peoples_n upon_o the_o face_n of_o the_o earth_n i_o as_o follow_v hold_v forth_o and_o show_v that_o plain_a and_o easy_a path_n of_o which_o it_o be_v prophesy_v to_o the_o jew_n that_o it_o shall_v be_v reveal_v in_o which_o the_o that_o all_o soul_n shall_v be_v like_o he_o ready_a in_o heart_n and_o free_a in_o mind_n to_o assemble_v together_o and_o not_o in_o any_o other_o way_n or_o manner_n because_o neither_o the_o constrainer_n nor_o the_o constrain_v retain_v the_o perfect_a similitude_n of_o his_o love_n and_o freedom_n but_o be_v in_o the_o degenerate_v will_n wherein_o every_o sacrifice_n be_v abominable_a and_o when_o both_o place_n and_o time_n be_v appoint_v for_o public_a congregation_n all_o that_o be_v unite_v in_o the_o eternal_a virtue_n as_o one_o soul_n and_o mind_n and_o member_n of_o one_o spiritual_a body_n must_v needs_o congregate_v and_o flow_v together_o to_o the_o end_n of_o nourish_v and_o cherish_v their_o own_o flesh_n for_o wait_v together_o in_o the_o one_o spirit_n of_o holiness_n and_o eternal_a power_n the_o power_n will_v arise_v in_o and_o among_o you_o and_o the_o word_n of_o life_n will_v go_v forth_o of_o the_o mouth_n of_o many_o on_o which_o the_o whole_a it_o so_o then_o in_o case_n of_o rebellious_a subject_n in_o a_o land_n that_o will_v live_v in_o a_o lawless_a life_n of_o destruction_n of_o the_o king_n of_o glory_n creation_n wilful_o and_o presumptuous_o in_o lewdness_n beastliness_n violation_n or_o what_o other_o wickedness_n so_o ever_o king_n pinces_n ruler_n and_o judge_n shall_v have_v no_o need_n to_o turn_v out_o their_o mind_n from_o the_o law_n within_o to_o search_v book_n or_o record_n of_o their_o land_n or_o people_n without_o they_o to_o find_v a_o law_n to_o judge_v such_o transgressor_n by_z for_o that_o alienates_v and_o adulterate_v from_o the_o pure_a similitude_n see_v the_o creator_n can_v go_v out_o of_o himself_o into_o book_n without_o he_o for_o a_o law_n but_o keep_v to_o the_o inward_a law_n of_o the_o creator_n that_o preserve_v in_o the_o glorious_a likeness_n and_o judge_v all_o in_o it_o and_o according_a to_o it_o answer_v the_o same_o in_o all_o and_o leave_v they_o without_o excuse_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o the_o eternal_a searcher_n of_o all_o heart_n in_o which_o judgement_n they_o hold_v the_o unity_n with_o their_o creator_n and_o stand_v justify_v before_o he_o and_o by_o that_o of_o he_o in_o all_o conscience_n which_o answer_v the_o judgement_n of_o it_o see_v therefore_o it_o be_v evident_a that_o the_o eternal_a judge_n be_v but_o one_o and_o his_o law_n but_o one_o the_o conscience_n as_o well_o as_o in_o the_o conscience_n of_o a_o another_o creature_n that_o very_a ruler_n stand_v in_o the_o presumption_n adulterate_v and_o separate_v from_o his_o creator_n show_v himself_o as_o if_o he_o have_v a_o wisdom_n above_o his_o creator_n to_o make_v a_o law_n to_o judge_v his_o creature_n by_o which_o be_v a_o most_o horrid_a rebellion_n against_o his_o creator_n and_o his_o holy_a and_o just_a law_n awake_v awake_v therefore_o o_o all_o you_o king_n prince_n ruler_n and_o judge_n upon_o the_o face_n of_o the_o whole_a earth_n and_o answer_v your_o creator_n in_o this_o true_a point_n of_o judgement_n now_o if_o the_o poor_a man_n shall_v make_v forth_o their_o convincement_n of_o the_o truth_n say_v we_o be_v persuade_v of_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o that_o create_v you_o be_v the_o eternal_a power_n and_o almighty_a king_n of_o king_n who_o reign_v over_o all_o in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o man_n and_o give_v they_o to_o whosoever_o he_o please_v sweet_a freedom_n of_o the_o soul_n the_o torture_n of_o the_o body_n the_o joyful_a pleasure_n of_o the_o soul_n the_o loss_n of_o earthly_a good_n the_o purchase_n of_o a_o heavenly_a treasure_n then_o as_o you_o grow_v into_o this_o life_n commit_v all_o thing_n house_n good_n silver_n gold_n wife_n and_o child_n liberty_n and_o life_n into_o the_o good_a pleasure_n of_o the_o everlasting_a know_v it_o not_o who_o persecute_v you_o be_v themselves_o in_o the_o act_n of_o persecution_n adulterate_v and_o alienate_v from_o the_o life_n of_o the_o eternal_a patience_n and_o content_a and_o change_n nor_o altar_n from_o his_o grace_n love_n and_o faithfulness_n and_o next_o though_o a_o change_n may_v be_v which_o can_v be_v by_o the_o unchangeable_a king_n of_o glory_n unless_o it_o be_v first_o by_o the_o degeneration_n of_o man_n weak_a and_o mutable_a mind_n from_o his_o power_n of_o holiness_n yet_o the_o soul_n in_o the_o fear_n and_o watchfulness_n out_o of_o the_o presumption_n and_o arrogancy_n in_o the_o ground_n of_o meekness_n and_o lowliness_n come_v to_o grow_v in_o such_o a_o strength_n of_o the_o power_n of_o hope_n faith_n and_o trust_n in_o the_o immutable_a preserver_n of_o the_o low_a and_o humble_a that_o in_o the_o live_n and_o sensible_a persuasion_n it_o come_v to_o utter_v through_o its_o assurance_n of_o the_o immediate_a unity_n that_o neither_o affliction_n trial_n tribulation_n temptation_n reproach_n buffet_n wound_n torture_n prison_n life_n nor_o death_n principality_n power_n height_n depth_n thing_n present_a nor_o thing_n to_o come_v shall_v be_v ever_o able_a to_o separate_v the_o soul_n from_o its_o life_n and_o unity_n in_o and_o with_o the_o immutable_a preserver_n and_o king_n of_o glory_n in_o the_o joy_n of_o his_o everlasting_a virtue_n ah_o who_o therefore_o will_v not_o run_v as_o a_o greyhound_n in_o the_o course_n and_o flow_v as_o the_o flood_n of_o the_o springtide_n yea_o and_o fly_v as_o the_o dove_n to_o her_o nest_n unto_o that_o which_o unite_v with_o the_o original_a fountain_n of_o all_o excellency_n wisdom_n sweetness_n and_o joy_n to_o be_v swallow_v up_o in_o its_o ocean_n for_o ever_o oh_o the_o felicity_n of_o consolation_n in_o the_o state_n of_o redemption_n how_o can_v my_o weakness_n declare_v its_o ravish_a power_n forasmuch_o as_o in_o the_o state_n of_o the_o soul_n restoration_n unto_o the_o first_o beauty_n glory_n and_o unity_n with_o the_o king_n of_o glory_n there_o be_v find_v a_o tower_n of_o joyous_a safety_n far_o exceed_v the_o safety_n that_o the_o first_o man_n have_v in_o his_o state_n of_o innocency_n know_v that_o though_o he_o be_v innocent_a and_o pure_a yet_o want_v the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o mutability_n and_o changeableness_n of_o his_o soul_n from_o the_o power_n that_o only_o can_v preserve_v it_o in_o the_o immutable_a life_n and_o therefore_o the_o concupiscence_n say_v you_o shall_v not_o sure_o die_v which_o be_v a_o lie_n by_o which_o the_o innocency_n be_v beguile_v and_o overcome_v to_o taste_v of_o the_o fruit_n of_o knowledge_n in_o his_o own_o flesh_n and_o then_o in_o the_o loss_n he_o see_v not_o the_o recovery_n but_o cloud_v himself_o more_o under_o it_o by_o cover_v the_o defile_a part_n but_o whereas_o the_o soul_n now_o see_v its_o unity_n with_o the_o immutable_a glory_n and_o know_v the_o changeableness_n of_o the_o soul_n of_o all_o man_n out_o of_o the_o unchangeable_a power_n and_o comprehend_v the_o power_n of_o darkness_n with_o its_o work_n and_o perdition_n and_o also_o know_v the_o power_n of_o redemption_n from_o curse_n restoration_n to_o bliss_n and_o union_n with_o the_o immutable_a glory_n i_o say_v in_o the_o knowledge_n of_o all_o this_o which_o man_n in_o his_o first_o state_n of_o innocency_n know_v not_o stand_v more_o glorious_a arm_v and_o secure_o fortify_v on_o the_o watch-tower_n of_o the_o light_n in_o the_o pure_a fear_n than_o the_o first_o man_n in_o his_o state_n of_o innocency_n do_v and_o by_o how_o much_o also_o the_o mercy_n pity_v compassion_n love_n and_o glorious_a wisdom_n of_o the_o creator_n be_v now_o reveal_v in_o his_o work_n of_o redemption_n restoration_n and_o unite_n the_o soul_n of_o man_n again_o unto_o himself_o in_o the_o power_n of_o his_o quicken_a spirit_n these_o wall_n of_o the_o eternal_a love_n which_o the_o unite_a soul_n now_o enter_v to_o within_o be_v a_o glory_n fort_n and_o fortress_n infinite_o exceed_v that_o of_o the_o first_o man_n state_n of_o bliss_n in_o innocency_n yea_o i_o may_v even_o speak_v as_o a_o tongue_n without_o end_n of_o this_o matter_n and_o yet_o never_o speak_v enough_o of_o the_o revelation_n of_o the_o power_n appear_v in_o glory_n to_o the_o redeem_a restore_v and_o unite_a soul_n how_o far_o it_o surpass_v that_o of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o first_o man_n in_o bliss_n who_o in_o his_o state_n of_o innocency_n before_o transgression_n be_v can_v not_o know_v what_o pity_n compassion_n mercy_n and_o reconciliation_n be_v be_v not_o then_o in_o a_o condition_n of_o the_o service_n of_o such_o property_n and_o quality_n that_o be_v hide_v in_o the_o eternal_a wisdom_n of_o glory_n who_o though_o he_o be_v dishonour_v at_o first_o by_o transgression_n yet_o such_o be_v his_o infinite_a wisdom_n that_o he_o gain_v himself_o the_o great_a honour_n through_o the_o power_n of_o his_o redeem_v man_n out_o of_o transgression_n wherefore_o the_o discovery_n of_o the_o face_n of_o glory_n be_v now_o the_o more_o excellent_a and_o great_a the_o wall_n and_o bulwark_n of_o love_n must_v needs_o be_v the_o strong_a and_o the_o unity_n infinite_o near_a and_o dear_a than_o the_o tongue_n of_o ten_o thousand_o multitude_n can_v ever_o utter_v or_o express_v which_o may_v be_v joyful_o receive_v as_o the_o everlasting_a consolation_n of_o all_o consolation_n by_o all_o the_o innocent_a lamb_n who_o through_o the_o glorious_a redemption_n do_v know_v their_o unity_n in_o the_o immutable_a power_n that_o create_v they_o who_o therefore_o thus_o in_o brief_a can_v witness_v to_o every_o opposer_n and_o gain-say_a that_o question_v their_o state_n and_o condition_n we_o be_v in_o the_o immutable_a life_n and_o power_n final_o the_o knowledge_n of_o unchanableness_n only_o consist_v in_o the_o eternal_a power_n cut_v off_o the_o strength_n of_o all_o insult_v of_o reproach_n by_o the_o seed_n of_o enmity_n cast_v upon_o the_o truth_n and_o the_o redeem_a people_n that_o do_v abide_v walk_v in_o it_o because_o one_o or_o two_o or_o a_o few_o have_v turn_v from_o it_o like_o the_o dog_n to_o the_o vomit_n and_o the_o wash_a swine_n again_o to_o the_o wallow_n in_o the_o mire_n which_o can_v stand_v upon_o the_o immutable_a power_n or_o principle_n of_o holiness_n because_o if_o all_o soul_n shall_v turn_v from_o it_o as_o it_o be_v a_o manifest_a light_n in_o every_o conscience_n yet_o the_o light_n and_o truth_n change_v not_o but_o be_v still_o the_o same_o in_o itself_o in_o nature_n power_n virtue_n and_o glory_n which_o no_o man_n can_v just_o deny_v though_o veil_v cloud_a and_o in_o great_a measure_n hide_v from_o the_o mutable_a soul_n that_o be_v turn_v from_o it_o nor_o can_v reproach_n or_o infamy_n just_o stand_v upon_o they_o that_o abide_v in_o the_o unity_n with_o the_o immutable_a glory_n because_o by_o the_o power_n thereof_o they_o be_v preserve_v out_o of_o evil_n walk_v before_o all_o man_n innocent_o not_o give_v any_o occasion_n but_o of_o good_a report_n to_o fill_v the_o mouth_n of_o all_o man_n therefore_o if_o any_o man_n shall_v reproach_v i_o and_o my_o brethren_n whilst_o we_o continue_v and_o persevere_v in_o the_o life_n of_o restoration_n unite_v to_o the_o unchangeable_a holiness_n because_o other_o one_o or_o two_o or_o a_o few_o be_v go_v out_o into_o the_o defilement_n and_o curse_n this_o show_v that_o he_o which_o so_o reproach_v we_o stand_v disunite_v unto_o and_o adulterate_v from_o the_o life_n of_o his_o creator_n who_o be_v the_o power_n of_o equity_n and_o enter_v into_o the_o power_n of_o the_o blackness_n of_o iniquity_n give_v false_a weight_n and_o false_a measure_n in_o the_o balance_n and_o bushel_n of_o enmity_n which_o be_v the_o curse_a state_n because_o his_o creator_n can_v do_v the_o like_a in_o the_o balance_n of_o his_o sanctuary_n but_o be_v righteous_a to_o every_o man_n cause_n so_o then_o the_o reproacher_n by_o his_o own_o unrighteous_a reproach_n write_v the_o mark_n of_o gild_n in_o his_o own_o forehead_n and_o draw_v the_o sentence_n of_o righteous_a judgement_n upon_o his_o own_o head_n as_o a_o rebellious_a son_n of_o enmity_n and_o despiser_n of_o the_o life_n of_o integrity_n and_o thus_o the_o eternal_a sun_n of_o the_o soul_n power_n wisdom_n holiness_n and_o king_n of_o glory_n in_o himself_o and_o in_o all_o his_o redeem_a people_n stand_v magnify_v honour_v glorify_v
