religion_n flourish_v a_o spirit_n of_o devotion_n appear_v in_o people_n and_o they_o be_v susceptible_a of_o impression_n from_o the_o truth_n reveal_v in_o the_o gospel_n and_o the_o common_a neglect_n of_o these_o thing_n be_v one_o great_a cause_n of_o the_o present_a decay_n of_o piety_n among_o we_o which_o neglect_n do_v proceed_v from_o a_o blind_a and_o indiscreet_a zeal_n against_o popery_n which_o do_v not_o distinguish_v betwixt_o the_o due_a use_n and_o abuse_v of_o thing_n but_o however_o useful_a it_o may_v be_v sometime_o mortification_n and_o for_o some_o person_n to_o exercise_v abstinence_n and_o other_o act_n of_o mortification_n from_o what_o st._n paul_n advise_v timothy_n here_o we_o learn_v in_o the_o next_o place_n that_o the_o use_n of_o these_o thing_n shall_v be_v always_o manage_v with_o prudence_n and_o discretion_n that_o they_o may_v neither_o prove_v prejudicial_a to_o our_o health_n nor_o yet_o degenerate_a into_o superstition_n fast_v and_o other_o corporal_a austerity_n be_v not_o thing_n in_o themselves_o absolute_o necessary_a but_o become_v fit_a and_o good_a according_a as_o they_o be_v subservient_fw-fr to_o other_o thing_n which_o and_o evidence_v that_o they_o who_o preach_v it_o be_v of_o god_n now_o that_o this_o have_v full_o appear_v there_o be_v no_o more_o need_n of_o miracle_n last_o the_o apostle_n make_v mention_n
