conversation_n quite_o opposite_a not_o only_o to_o the_o doctrine_n and_o practice_n of_o ancient_a father_n and_o the_o primitive_a church_n but_o to_o the_o whole_a course_n of_o scripture_n in_o like_a manner_n which_o every_o where_o do_v inculcate_v with_o all_o solicitude_n the_o continual_a performance_n of_o external_a good_a work_n and_o that_o thereby_o indeed_o true_a christian_n be_v know_v in_o exercise_v themselves_o in_o christ_n commandment_n and_o as_o for_o sacrament_n which_o according_a to_o our_o doctrine_n be_v heavenly_a thereof_o conduit_n and_o most_o excellent_a instrument_n appoint_v by_o god_n for_o derive_v of_o grace_n unto_o we_o in_o every_o state_n and_o condition_n of_o christian_a man_n these_o fellow_n do_v first_o cut_v off_o five_o of_o the_o to_o be_v a_o very_a jest_n or_o comedy_n but_o yet_o break_v down_o a_o main_a bank_n of_o christian_a discipline_n care_n &_o solicitude_n that_o be_v to_o be_v see_v in_o our_o man_n when_o they_o receive_v any_o sacrament_n for_o that_o believe_v as_o catholic_a faith_n teach_v they_o that_o all_o sacrament_n bring_v grace_n to_o they_o that_o receive_v they_o with_o due_a preparation_n and_o of_o their_o own_o part_n put_v no_o let_v by_o their_o indisposition_n they_o do_v labour_n and_o endeavour_v to_o prepare_v sacrament_n themselves_o worthy_o to_o the_o say_v receive_v thereof_o by_o penance_n fast_v prayer_n almsdeed_n and_o other_o like_a holy_a endeavour_n assure_v themselves_o also_o on_o the_o contrary_a side_n that_o negligent_a receive_n of_o sacrament_n do_v not_o of_o spur_n to_o good_a purpose_n virtue_n and_o renovation_n of_o life_n whereas_o this_o other_o sort_n of_o good_a fellow_n persuade_v themselves_o that_o their_o sacrament_n be_v only_o bare_a sign_n of_o thing_n already_o past_a and_o as_o it_o be_v a_o continual_a representation_n of_o justification_n already_o receive_v there_o need_v not_o any_o such_o laboursome_a endeavour_n for_o due_a preparation_n nor_o yet_o care_v or_o solicitude_n of_o life_n or_o manner_n for_o that_o already_o they_o have_v the_o thing_n which_o they_o desire_v and_o that_o those_o be_v but_o sign_n token_n and_o testimony_n that_o they_o have_v receive_v it_o indeed_o which_o yet_o as_o i_o say_v have_v no_o more_o assurance_n than_o every_o man_n own_o persuasion_n and_o apprehension_n will_v afford_v last_o concern_v the_o foresay_a fountain_n of_o temptation_n in_o our_o flesh_n and_o sensuality_n call_v concupiscence_n they_o differ_v from_o we_o in_o two_o essential_a point_n first_o that_o they_o hold_v this_o concupiscence_n not_o for_o a_o tempter_n only_o but_o rather_o for_o a_o conqueror_n for_o so_o much_o as_o they_o teach_v that_o every_o motion_n of_o she_o to_o sensuality_n in_o we_o be_v a_o fin_n whether_o it_o be_v yield_v unto_o by_o our_o will_n or_o no_o the_o second_o point_n follow_v necessary_o concupiscence_n of_o this_o first_o be_v that_o all_o resistance_n of_o our_o part_n to_o the_o motion_n of_o this_o concupiscence_n be_v either_o needless_a or_o bootless_a for_o that_o the_o motion_n itself_o be_v sin_n without_o our_o consent_n it_o
