and_o pleasure_n of_o he_o to_o who_o it_o be_v make_v again_o forasmuch_o as_o a_o vow_n suppose_v he_o to_o who_o it_o be_v make_v to_o be_v conscious_a to_o our_o want_n and_o the_o author_n of_o those_o blessing_n in_o consideration_n whereof_o we_o make_v they_o what_o shall_v hinder_v we_o or_o rather_o how_o can_v we_o excuse_v ourselves_o from_o give_v god_n this_o testimony_n of_o our_o beside_o when_o as_o be_v before_o insinuate_v the_o sacrament_n of_o baptism_n and_o the_o lord_n supper_n be_v on_o our_o part_n vow_n of_o obedience_n unto_o god_n when_o we_o be_v initiate_v into_o and_o confirm_v in_o our_o religion_n by_o they_o when_o the_o law_n and_o the_o prophet_n speak_v much_o and_o often_o concern_v vow_n and_o our_o religion_n profess_v to_o establish_v all_o that_o be_v not_o ceremonial_a in_o they_o last_o when_o we_o ourselves_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o vow_n to_o confirm_v our_o waver_a mind_n and_o establish_v we_o in_o that_o course_n of_o life_n we_o have_v undertake_v what_o can_v be_v more_o apparent_a than_o that_o we_o shall_v vow_v obedience_n to_o god_n command_n and_o the_o use_n or_o forbearance_n of_o all_o such_o mean_n as_o be_v apt_a either_o to_o promote_v or_o hinder_v it_o and_o who_o know_v whether_o the_o omission_n of_o this_o be_v not_o one_o principal_a cause_n why_o oftentimes_o we_o speed_v no_o better_o in_o our_o a_o seven_o which_o have_v by_o some_o man_n be_v plead_v for_o with_o so_o great_a earnestness_n concern_v which_o i_o shall_v show_v first_o that_o it_o have_v no_o foundation_n in_o the_o law_n of_o nature_n and_o second_o that_o it_o have_v as_o little_a in_o this_o if_o consider_v in_o respect_n of_o we_o that_o it_o have_v not_o in_o the_o former_a this_o one_o character_n of_o the_o law_n of_o nature_n may_v suffice_v any_o sober_a man_n to_o conclude_v for_o the_o law_n of_o nature_n prescribe_v only_o such_o thing_n to_o our_o observation_n as_o be_v in_o their_o own_o nature_n good_a before_o the_o superinduce_n of_o any_o positive_a law_n it_o will_v follow_v that_o the_o observation_n of_o a_o seven_o day_n have_v a_o peculiar_a goodness_n in_o it_o and_o that_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v observe_v though_o god_n have_v by_o no_o positive_a law_n enjoin_v it_o but_o what_o goodness_n can_v even_o they_o who_o profess_v to_o believe_v it_o moral_a show_v in_o a_o seven_o day_n more_o than_o in_o a_o six_o or_o eighth_n or_o any_o other_o day_n whatsoever_o unless_o it_o be_v that_o god_n rest_v upon_o it_o from_o the_o work_n of_o the_o creation_n which_o be_v the_o reason_n here_o allege_v for_o its_o observance_n but_o first_o of_o all_o if_o god_n rest_v upon_o it_o give_v it_o any_o peculiar_a goodness_n what_o need_n be_v there_o of_o his_o add_v his_o blessing_n and_o command_v to_o oblige_v man_n to_o the_o observance_n of_o it_o for_o the_o day_n be_v holy_a without_o and_o before_o it_o it_o will_v have_v suffice_v to_o have_v declare_v that_o be_v consecrate_v by_o his_o bare_a rest_a on_o it_o last_o forasmuch_o as_o whatsoever_o goodness_n there_o be_v in_o any_o thing_n it_o must_v be_v suppose_v to_o descend_v upon_o it_o by_o the_o influence_n of_o the_o divine_a if_o we_o suppose_v the_o seven_o day_n to_o have_v have_v any_o peculiar_a goodness_n and_o holiness_n we_o must_v also_o suppose_v it_o to_o have_v receive_v it_o from_o the_o same_o influx_n which_o can_v be_v affirm_v in_o the_o present_a case_n because_o that_o to_o which_o it_o be_v ascribe_v be_v not_o any_o influence_n of_o the_o divine_a goodness_n but_o only_o the_o suspension_n of_o it_o i_o conclude_v therefore_o that_o god_n rest_n upon_o it_o do_v not_o give_v the_o seven_o day_n any_o peculiar_a holiness_n and_o consequent_o because_o that_o be_v the_o only_a reason_n allege_v that_o there_o be_v nothing_o of_o morality_n in_o the_o observance_n of_o it_o from_o nature_n and_o morality_n therefore_o pass_v we_o to_o the_o present_a precept_n and_o inquire_v whether_o that_o induce_v any_o obligation_n upon_o we_o to_o observe_v it_o give_v i_o leave_v only_o to_o premise_v that_o the_o question_n be_v not_o as_o be_v common_o commemorate_v the_o six_o day_n of_o the_o creation_n and_o that_o rest_v which_o follow_v neither_o will_v it_o suffice_v to_o say_v as_o perhaps_o it_o may_v be_v that_o the_o analogy_n between_o it_o and_o that_o rest_v it_o be_v propose_v to_o imitate_v may_v be_v salve_v

who_o have_v much_o great_a obligation_n to_o the_o almighty_a and_o indeed_o well_o may_v we_o think_v so_o when_o we_o find_v the_o primitive_a christian_n in_o the_o act_n meet_v every_o day_n to_o what_o have_v be_v hitherto_o or_o may_v be_v infer_v from_o this_o commandment_n do_v rather_o persuade_v than_o necessitate_v the_o observation_n of_o that_o particular_a day_n which_o we_o each_o of_o these_o pretension_n and_o first_o that_o which_o exclude_v it_o as_o no_o way_n proper_a for_o the_o public_a for_o be_v it_o which_o be_v common_o allege_v that_o man_n may_v read_v the_o scripture_n at_o home_n as_o well_o as_o at_o the_o public_a assembly_n yet_o as_o there_o be_v a_o great_a number_n of_o man_n who_o can_v read_v at_o all_o and_o other_o who_o have_v no_o leisure_n for_o it_o though_o they_o can_v by_o mean_n whereof_o they_o must_v have_v be_v ignorant_a of_o the_o scripture_n unless_o god_n have_v provide_v for_o they_o by_o the_o public_a read_n of_o it_o so_o it_o be_v apparent_a that_o they_o who_o both_o can_v read_v and_o have_v leisure_n for_o it_o be_v too_o apt_a to_o omit_v it_o and_o consequent_o be_v it_o not_o for_o the_o public_a read_n of_o it_o will_v have_v have_v no_o far_a knowledge_n of_o it_o than_o they_o shall_v have_v receive_v from_o the_o discourse_n of_o their_o instructer_n by_o which_o mean_n they_o may_v not_o have_v help_v man_n to_o have_v discover_v the_o fraud_n and_o preserve_v they_o from_o the_o attaque_fw-la of_o it_o this_o only_a will_v be_v add_v that_o though_o there_o be_v not_o the_o like_a pretend_v to_o a_o oversight_n of_o they_o in_o relation_n to_o the_o state_n so_o no_o doubt_n can_v be_v make_v by_o those_o who_o shall_v consider_v the_o influence_n religious_a matter_n may_v
