read_v not_o that_o the_o prophet_n hieremie_n do_v say_v unto_o they_o that_o it_o be_v god_n will_v and_o commandment_n that_o they_o shall_v drink_v wine_n but_o it_o seem_v to_o they_o a_o bid_n shall_v stand_v in_o his_o course_n and_o not_o go_v forward_o fire_n shall_v wax_v cold_a and_o temperate_a wild_a beast_n shall_v become_v tame_a and_o gentle_a and_o all_o natural_a power_n shall_v be_v clean_o alter_v rather_o than_o good_a man_n shall_v lack_v defence_n or_o wicked_a person_n punishment_n when_o god_n shall_v see_v it_o to_o make_v to_o his_o glory_n god_n here_o send_v down_o his_o angel_n to_o comfort_v his_o servant_n to_o abash_v his_o enemy_n and_o to_o make_v his_o glorious_a name_n and_o power_n to_o be_v know_v in_o the_o world_n and_o confess_v even_o by_o the_o mouth_n of_o they_o that_o before_o with_o all_o endeavour_n seek_v to_o oppress_v the_o same_o the_o king_n be_v astonish_v his_o noble_n flock_v together_o to_o behold_v the_o thing_n all_o the_o multitude_n wonder_v to_o see_v the_o marvelous_a work_n of_o god._n then_o speak_v nabuchodonozor_n and_o say_v 29._o bless_a be_v the_o lord_n god_n of_o sidrach_n etc_n etc_n now_o follow_v the_o conversion_n of_o nabuchodonozor_n and_o his_o repentance_n make_v open_a confession_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o god_o and_o as_o a_o good_a convert_n show_v the_o fruit_n of_o repentance_n he_o praise_v god_n who_o have_v so_o marvelous_o deliver_v they_o that_o put_v their_o trust_n in_o he_o he_o extol_v sidrach_n misach_n and_o abednego_n that_o do_v with_o such_o constancy_n withstand_v his_o authority_n and_o rather_o hazard_n their_o life_n than_o they_o will_v commit_v idolatry_n and_o because_o the_o office_n of_o a_o prince_n be_v not_o only_a himself_o to_o acknowledge_v the_o true_a worship_n of_o god_n but_o also_o to_o set_v the_o same_o forth_o *_o to_o the_o subject_n 9_o and_o to_o the_o uttermost_a of_o his_o power_n to_o suppress_v the_o contrarieê_n he_o publish_v a_o decree_n that_o whosoever_o do_v worship_v any_o other_o than_o the_o line_n god_n which_o now_o have_v deliver_v sidrach_n misach_n and_o abednego_n shall_v be_v draw_v in_o piece_n this_o dreadful_a and_o terrible_a punishment_n here_o appoint_v to_o drive_v man_n to_o the_o true_a worship_n of_o god_n may_v be_v a_o answer_n to_o they_o that_o call_v it_o cruelty_n when_o superstitious_a person_n be_v by_o straight_a law_n bridle_v and_o say_v that_o faith_n can_v be_v force_v but_o that_o it_o may_v seem_v sore_a deal_n to_o constrain_v a_o man_n to_o that_o which_o be_v against_o his_o conscience_n they_o say_v nabuchodonozor_n that_o speak_v any_o blasphemy_n against_o god_n shall_v be_v draw_v in_o piece_n and_o their_o house_n shall_v be_v make_v as_o a_o jakes_n if_o nabuchodonozor_n a_o heathen_a prince_n by_o this_o one_o miracle_n be_v so_o move_v as_o in_o his_o whole_a domination_n he_o will_v not_o suffer_v one_o without_o punishment_n to_o blaspheme_v the_o name_n of_o god_n what_o shall_v we_o think_v of_o they_o which_o profess_v themselves_o to_o be_v christian_n have_v hard_o the_o voice_n of_o the_o gospel_n these_o many_o year_n sound_v throughout_o all_o christendom_n and_o have_v see_v great_a &_o strange_a work_n of_o god_n to_o the_o advauncement_n of_o the_o same_o and_o yet_o remain_v both_o themselves_o obstinate_a and_o cause_v their_o subject_n for_o the_o profession_n of_o god_n truth_n cruel_o to_o be_v murder_v the_o 19_o sunday_n after_o trinity_n at_o evening_n prayer_n daniel_n 6._o it_o please_v darius_n to_o set_v over_o his_o kingdom_n a_o hundred_o and_o twenty_o governor_n which_o shall_v be_v over_o the_o whole_a kingdom_n 2_o above_o these_o he_o set_v three_o prince_n of_o who_o officer_n and_o governor_n the_o counselor_n and_o duke_n have_v consult_v together_o to_o make_v a_o decree_n for_o the_o king_n and_o to_o establish_v a_o statute_n that_o who_o so_o desire_v any_o these_o man_n assemble_v and_o find_v daniel_n make_v his_o petition_n and_o pray_v unto_o his_o god._n 12_o so_o they_o come_v to_o the_o king_n and_o speak_v before_o he_o concern_v his_o commandment_n say_v oh_o king_n have_v thou_o not_o seal_v the_o decree_n that_o within_o thirty_o day_n who_o so_o require_v his_o petition_n of_o any_o god_n or_o man_n but_o only_o of_o thyself_o oh_o king_n he_o shall_v be_v cast_v into_o the_o den_n of_o lion_n the_o king_n answer_v and_o say_v yea_o it_o be_v true_a according_a to_o the_o law_n of_o the_o mede_n and_o perses_n that_o alter_v not_o 13_o then_o answer_v they_o and_o say_v unto_o the_o king_n this_o daniel_n which_o be_v of_o the_o child_n of_o the_o captivity_n of_o juda_n oh_o king_n regard_v neither_o thou_o nor_o thy_o decree_n that_o thou_o have_v seal_v but_o make_v his_o petition_n three_o time_n a_o day_n 14_o when_o the_o king_n hear_v these_o word_n he_o be_v sore_o displease_v with_o himself_o and_o set_v his_o heart_n on_o daniel_n to_o deliver_v he_o and_o he_o labour_v till_o the_o sun_n go_v down_o to_o deliver_v he_o 15_o then_o these_o man_n assemble_v unto_o the_o king_n and_o say_v unto_o he_o know_v this_o oh_o king_n that_o the_o law_n of_o the_o mede_n and_o perses_n be_v that_o the_o commandment_n and_o statute_n which_o the_o king_n make_v may_v not_o be_v alter_v 16_o then_o the_o king_n command_v and_o they_o bring_v daniel_n and_o they_o cast_v he_o into_o the_o lion_n den_n now_o the_o king_n speak_v unto_o daniel_n and_o say_v thy_o god_n who_o thou_o always_o serve_v hear_v the_o threaten_n of_o god_n read_v in_o the_o book_n of_o his_o law_n 19_o then_o be_v they_o acceptable_a unto_o god_n and_o he_o do_v not_o prohibit_v they_o for_o to_o that_o end_n he_o will_v they_o here_o to_o fast_o to_o lament_v to_o weep_v thereby_o to_o show_v the_o inward_a and_o repentant_a sorrow_n of_o their_o heart_n that_o they_o may_v in_o this_o manner_n repent_v he_o declare_v by_o the_o nature_n and_o property_n of_o god_o that_o there_o be_v assure_v hope_n of_o mercy_n in_o god._n 18._o for_o say_v he_o god_n be_v gracious_a and_o of_o nature_n more_o prone_a to_o pleasure_v then_o to_o punish_v he_o be_v merciful_a 13._o as_o a_o father_n move_v with_o compassion_n even_o upon_o the_o deserve_a misery_n of_o his_o child_n 17_o he_o be_v of_o long_o suffer_v and_o loath_a to_o be_v draw_v to_o wrath_n and_o punishment_n he_o be_v of_o exceed_a bounty_n and_o goodness_n 5._o &_o as_o a_o plentiful_a spring_a fountain_n desire_v still_o to_o pour_v out_o upon_o we_o the_o riches_n of_o his_o benefit_n and_o gracious_a gift_n 13._o last_o he_o will_v repent_v he_o of_o the_o evil_a that_o be_v he_o will_v alter_v his_o decree_n and_o revoke_v his_o sentence_n of_o displeasure_n for_o all_o the_o sentence_n of_o punishment_n that_o god_n pronounce_v upon_o his_o people_n be_v ever_o join_v with_o condition_n of_o repentance_n which_o if_o they_o show_v he_o may_v and_o do_v without_o note_n of_o mutability_n or_o inconstancy_n change_v his_o purpose_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v say_v here_o he_o will_v return_v and_o leave_v behind_o he_o a_o blessing_n of_o meat_n offer_v etc_n etc_n whereby_o he_o mean_v that_o where_o they_o be_v before_o oppress_v with_o such_o scarcity_n that_o they_o have_v not_o beast_n wherewith_o to_o do_v sacrifice_n to_o god_n now_o he_o will_v bless_v they_o with_o plenty_n etc_n etc_n blow_v up_o a_o trumpet_n in_o zion_n etc_n proclaim_v a_o fast_n call_v a_o assembly_n sanctify_v etc_n etc_n large_a set_v forth_o and_o a_o prayer_n devise_v to_o the_o same_o purpose_n unto_o this_o must_v all_o sort_n of_o man_n be_v assemble_v old_a man_n child_n babe_n yea_o the_o new_a marry_a man_n and_o his_o bride_n out_o of_o the_o chamber_n of_o his_o pleasure_n but_o especial_o priest_n and_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o lord_n must_v show_v themselves_o ready_a in_o this_o and_o by_o earnest_a prayer_n and_o weep_a be_v as_o mediator_n between_o god_n and_o his_o people_n and_o the_o lord_n will_v be_v jealous_a over_o his_o land_n 18._o and_o will_v spare_v his_o people_n etc_n etc_n the_o prophet_n now_o comfort_v the_o people_n and_o do_v assure_v they_o what_o benefit_n they_o shall_v have_v by_o their_o repentance_n if_o they_o turn_v unto_o god_n as_o the_o husband_n can_v abide_v to_o see_v his_o wife_n cruel_o use_v of_o any_o other_o so_o will_v the_o lord_n be_v jealous_a over_o the_o land_n of_o the_o jew_n his_o choose_a people_n 19_o where_o they_o be_v pinch_v with_o famine_n and_o hunger_n through_o spoil_n of_o the_o land_n and_o barrenness_n he_o will_v now_o send_v they_o corn_n wine_n oil_n and_o plenty_n of_o all_o thing_n necessary_a for_o their_o sustenance_n etc_n he_o will_v remove_v from_o they_o the_o power_n and_o army_n of_o the_o assyrian_n that_o come_v northward_o against_o they_o and_o will_v so_o scatter_v they_o and_o put_v they_o to_o flight_n by_o his*_n angel_n from_o heaven_n 36._o that_o they_o shall_v run_v eastward_o and_o westward_o not_o know_v which_o way_n best_o to_o save_v themselves_o 17_o yea_o the_o give_v to_o his_o people_n be_v promise_v and_o perform_v only_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o saviour_n of_o the_o world_n and_o that_o promise_a seed_n christ_n jesus_n that_o be_v to_o come_v the_o prophet_n therefore_o in_o this_o place_n put_v the_o people_n of_o god_n in_o mind_n of_o the_o spiritual_a blessing_n of_o messiah_n first_o begin_v with_o the_o send_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n which_o of_o all_o other_o be_v the_o great_a and_o in_o deed_n the_o sum_n of_o all_o the_o residue_n 10_o for_o albeit_o the_o whole_a riches_n and_o *_o treasure_n of_o god_n grace_n and_o goodness_n be_v give_v out_o by_o christ_n jesus_n yet_o can_v we_o not_o enjoy_v the_o same_o *_o but_o by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n the_o work_n and_o effect_n of_o who_o be_v *_o to_o open_a unto_o man_n the_o will_n of_o god_n either_o by_o *_o prophecy_n and_o foretell_v of_o thing_n to_o come_v by_o word_n by_o vision_n by_o dream_n or_o by_o interpretation_n and_o open_n of_o the*_n mystery_n of_o religion_n out_o of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n 22._o and_o by_o *_o incline_v the_o heart_n and_o will_n of_o the_o faithful_a to_o the_o observation_n of_o the_o law_n and_o
