life_n or_o evidence_a life_n and_o life_n which_o be_v christ_n be_v very_o desirable_a unto_o all_o they_o 30._o who_o have_v but_o the_o least_o sense_n or_o taste_v of_o it_o and_o it_o be_v also_o active_a wheresoever_o it_o be_v and_o puts_z man_n upon_o all_o inquiry_n what_o must_v we_o do_v that_o we_o may_v have_v life_n those_o convert_v in_o the_o act_n have_v but_o a_o 13._o all_o god_n be_v a_o holy_a and_o righteous_a god_n and_o will_v do_v neither_o can_v he_o do_v any_o thing_n but_o what_o be_v most_o pure_a and_o just_a and_o if_o any_o say_v that_o they_o have_v fellowship_n or_o communion_n 6._o with_o he_o and_o yet_o be_v not_o conformable_a to_o he_o in_o holiness_n and_o righteousness_n they_o lie_v and_o do_v not_o the_o truth_n and_o if_o they_o say_v measure_n of_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n and_o of_o the_o pardon_n of_o their_o sin_n to_o these_o he_o answer_v if_o you_o walk_v in_o 7._o the_o light_n as_o he_o be_v in_o the_o light_n etc._n etc._n god_n be_v a_o holy_a god_n a_o most_o pure_a spirit_n with_o who_o be_v no_o iniquity_n and_o if_o he_o by_o appear_v in_o your_o soul_n have_v wrought_v you_o to_o a_o love_n of_o purity_n and_o holiness_n and_o also_o to_o a_o loathe_n of_o all_o sin_n and_o wickedness_n than_o you_o may_v be_v sure_a you_o have_v fellowship_n with_o he_o and_o the_o blood_n of_o jesus_n christ_n his_o god_n be_v a_o faithful_a god_n he_o never_o begin_v a_o good_a work_n but_o he_o will_v perfect_v it_o he_o have_v already_o pardon_v your_o sin_n and_o he_o will_v more_o and_o more_o assure_v your_o heart_n thereof_o by_o cleanse_v you_o by_o degree_n from_o all_o your_o corruption_n q._n if_o justification_n and_o remission_n of_o sin_n be_v free_a without_o any_o condition_n desert_n or_o desire_v on_o our_o part_n why_o then_o do_v our_o saviour_n teach_v we_o to_o pray_v for_o it_o say_v forgive_v our_o debt_n and_o if_o man_n be_v justify_v and_o their_o sin_n be_v forgive_v enable_v to_o believe_v neither_o do_v the_o lord_n discover_v himself_o in_o his_o love_n to_o all_o in_o a_o like_a measure_n for_o it_o please_v he_o divers_a time_n to_o suffer_v many_o of_o his_o dear_a one_o to_o sit_v a_o great_a while_n in_o darkness_n and_o to_o see_v but_o 9_o a_o very_a little_a light_n and_o to_o have_v but_o a_o small_a measure_n of_o the_o comfortable_a
assurance_n of_o his_o love_n these_o he_o hold_v in_o suspense_n and_o therefore_o they_o cry_v and_o pray_v forgive_v we_o our_o sin_n not_o be_v assure_v of_o the_o pard_n on_o thereof_o yea_o other_o also_o that_o have_v attain_v to_o a_o high_a degree_n of_o assurance_n and_o be_v able_a to_o conclude_v and_o that_o safe_o that_o their_o sin_n be_v forgive_v and_o that_o christ_n be_v their_o righteousness_n unto_o justification_n yet_o see_v their_o own_o weakness_n and_o know_v that_o they_o be_v sanctify_v but_o in_o part_n and_o have_v a_o law_n in_o their_o member_n rebel_a against_o the_o law_n of_o the_o mind_n 19_o they_o have_v need_n and_o do_v pray_v for_o a_o further_a discovery_n of_o god_n love_n to_o perfect_v their_o sanctification_n that_o they_o may_v thereby_o have_v a_o further_a evidence_n of_o their_o justification_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v say_v forgive_v we_o our_o debt_n as_o we_o forgive_v our_o debtor_n that_o be_v lord_n work_n in_o we_o such_o a_o holy_a frame_n of_o spirit_n that_o see_v thou_o have_v free_o forgive_v we_o through_o christ_n all_o our_o sin_n we_o may_v also_o free_o for_o thy_o sake_n forgive_v our_o offend_a brother_n his_o trepass_n and_o that_o our_o readiness_n and_o willingness_n to_o pardon_v other_o may_v evidence_n unto_o we_o that_o thou_o have_v forgive_v we_o so_o that_o we_o be_v not_o teach_v to_o pray_v for_o pardon_n of_o sin_n as_o though_o the_o lord_n will_v not_o forgive_v we_o until_o we_o pray_v for_o it_o but_o rather_o that_o god_n will_v manifest_v himself_o so_o to_o we_o in_o act_n of_o sanctification_n as_o may_v testify_v unto_o we_o our_o justification_n and_o although_o repentance_n be_v not_o necessary_a as_o a_o mean_n of_o remission_n and_o so_o of_o life_n yet_o it_o be_v a_o necessary_a consequence_n or_o effect_n of_o life_n as_o the_o fruit_n be_v not_o a_o mean_n or_o a_o condition_n of_o life_n to_o the_o tree_n but_o a_o effect_n or_o evidence_n of_o life_n in_o the_o tree_n for_o it_o be_v impossible_a that_o christ_n shall_v be_v in_o the_o soul_n and_o not_o act_v like_o himself_o according_a to_o that_o degree_n and_o measure_n in_o which_o he_o manifest_v himself_o therein_o now_o repentance_n be_v not_o only_o a_o sorrow_n 27._o for_o sin_n for_o that_o may_v be_v in_o wicked_a man_n neither_o be_v it_o a_o bare_a confession_n join_v with_o the_o former_a for_o both_o these_o may_v be_v do_v for_o self-end_n but_o when_o a_o man_n do_v indeed_o apprehend_v the_o love_n of_o god_n in_o jesus_n free_o justify_v and_o pardon_v all_o sin_n and_o transgression_n whatsoever_o without_o any_o desert_n or_o desire_v and_o not_o only_o so_o but_o also_o sanctify_v and_o save_v he_o from_o all_o sin_n for_o the_o future_a then_o his_o soul_n be_v melt_v and_o dissolve_v into_o godly_a sorrow_n 5_o mourning_n and_o grieve_v not_o for_o fear_v of_o death_n and_o hell_n but_o because_o he_o have_v walk_v so_o contrary_a to_o god_n as_o well_o as_o those_o that_o be_v more_o outward_a and_o desire_n to_o appear_v before_o god_n the_o most_o vile_a and_o abominable_a sinner_n in_o the_o world_n in_o his_o own_o eye_n deserve_v nothing_o but_o wrath_n and_o condemnation_n and_o admire_v at_o the_o infinite_a love_n and_o goodness_n of_o god_n in_o jesus_n christ_n thus_o pardon_v and_o sanctify_v he_o and_o pray_v earnest_o write_n of_o man_n be_v of_o any_o force_n to_o help_v we_o grow_v in_o grace_n etc._n etc._n a._n although_o the_o scripture_n be_v write_v by_o man_n yet_o they_o be_v not_o the_o device_n of_o they_o who_o be_v thus_o become_v son_n have_v not_o the_o spirit_n by_o fit_n and_o start_v but_o the_o spirit_n or_o the_o lord_n jesus_n who_o be_v that_o spirit_n 9_o dwell_v in_o their_o heart_n due_a time_n break_v through_o 26._o all_o difficulty_n and_o remove_v all_o impediment_n and_o act_n like_o itself_o and_o minister_n matter_n of_o prayer_n upon_o all_o occasion_n so_o then_o whensoever_o the_o lord_n present_v occasion_n or_o opportunity_n of_o prayer_n than_o he_o by_o the_o same_o call_v for_o prayer_n and_o then_o be_v the_o spirit_n ready_a to_o quicken_v and_o help_v if_o it_o be_v not_o quench_v with_o carnal_a work_n 19_o of_o the_o flesh_n as_o worldly_a care_n worldly_a sorrow_n worldly_a joy_n etc._n etc._n now_o if_o there_o be_v any_o time_n wherein_o the_o lord_n do_v not_o minister_v occasion_n of_o prayer_n and_o praise_n then_o that_o be_v no_o time_n for_o prayer_n and_o thanksgiving_n but_o there_o be_v no_o time_n in_o the_o whole_a life_n of_o a_o christian_a in_o which_o the_o lord_n do_v not_o minister_v occasion_n 18._o of_o prayer_n and_o praise_n therefore_o the_o saint_n ought_v to_o pray_v continual_o and_o in_o every_o thing_n to_o give_v thanks_o furthermore_o as_o the_o saint_n ought_v upon_o all_o occasion_n to_o lift_v up_o their_o heart_n to_o god_n so_o also_o they_o be_v to_o take_v the_o fit_a opportunity_n for_o also_o we_o must_v watch_v unto_o it_o that_o be_v so_o order_v our_o outward_a affair_n that_o there_o may_v be_v convenient_a time_n and_o so_o watch_v over_o our_o own_o heart_n in_o the_o of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o of_o fire_n and_o the_o baptism_n of_o suffering_n all_o which_o 50._o be_v beautiful_a in_o their_o season_n and_o some_o of_o they_o be_v still_o of_o great_a concernment_n to_o the_o saint_n the_o baptism_n of_o water_n be_v the_o baptism_n of_o john_n who_o be_v send_v of_o god_n to_o 1._o prepare_v the_o way_n of_o christ_n israel_n have_v 6._o dwell_v long_o enough_o in_o that_o mount_n of_o outside_n observation_n for_o although_o they_o have_v their_o legal_a wash_n and_o cleansing_n 10._o which_o be_v and_o may_v be_v call_v baptism_n yet_o themselves_o for_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n come_v and_o abide_v on_o 36._o they_o and_o thus_o it_o be_v clear_a from_o scripture_n that_o god_n be_v not_o in_o all_o man_n in_o his_o love_n in_o jesus_n christ_n for_o he_o be_v where_o he_o come_v in_o christ_n both_o light_n and_o life_n and_o where_o he_o be_v thus_o he_o act_v like_o himself_o and_o
