power_n of_o stand_v he_o be_v habitual_o fit_v for_o it_o but_o that_o it_o may_v stand_v as_o to_o the_o event_n there_o must_v be_v further_o a_o vigorous_a influx_n from_o god_n of_o light_n upon_o his_o mind_n of_o holiness_n upon_o he_o will_v actuate_a his_o habitual_a power_n now_o that_o this_o shall_v be_v afford_v he_o it_o can_v not_o be_v that_o be_v suppose_v for_o which_o the_o scripture_n be_v clear_a 1._o that_o god_n know_v certain_o that_o he_o shall_v fall_v that_o man_n be_v put_v to_o a_o very_a hard_a shift_n who_o shall_v deny_v god_n certain_a knowledge_n from_o all_o eternity_n of_o adam_n fall_n or_o of_o any_o event_n whatsoever_o and_o the_o free_a confession_n hereof_o will_v be_v refutation_n enough_o to_o most_o man_n apprehesion_n the_o impression_n decree_v particular_o that_o glory_n which_o come_v to_o pass_v from_o his_o creature_n either_o that_o particular_o or_o another_o particular_o or_o last_o none_o particular_o but_o his_o glory_n general_o and_o indefinite_o not_o another_o particular_o it_o be_v too_o absurd_a to_o say_v that_o he_o decree_v what_o come_v not_o to_o pass_v and_o decree_v not_o what_o come_v to_o pass_v such_o a_o apprehension_n do_v at_o once_o utter_o overthrow_v his_o wisdom_n and_o power_n neither_o do_v he_o decree_v his_o glory_n only_o general_o and_o indefinite_o that_o apprehension_n necessary_o suppose_v a_o defect_n in_o his_o wisdom_n for_o dictate_v distinct_o and_o particular_o the_o way_n of_o his_o glory_n and_o ascribe_v unto_o god_n the_o weakness_n of_o man_n discourse_v from_o general_n to_o particular_n which_o be_v always_o accompany_v with_o and_o suppose_v imperfect_a knowledge_n and_o power_n 3._o that_o he_o decree_v his_o own_o glory_n comprehensive_o to_o wit_n all_o that_o glory_n in_o every_o particular_a which_o arise_v to_o he_o from_o the_o creature_n this_o be_v clear_a to_o wave_v other_o argument_n from_o the_o two_o former_a particular_n because_o his_o glory_n be_v the_o end_n of_o all_o his_o work_n as_o his_o glory_n particular_o as_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v 4._o that_o glory_n of_o he_o in_o the_o final_a state_n of_o man_n be_v such_o as_o suppose_v sin_n for_o how_o shall_v some_o be_v save_v in_o mercy_n other_o in_o justice_n condemn_v without_o sin_n and_o particular_o adam_n fall_n and_o in_o he_o all_o his_o posterity_n it_o must_v needs_o be_v that_o god_n decree_v that_o glory_n of_o he_o and_o that_o way_n of_o his_o glory_n object_n but_o why_o do_v god_n give_v a_o righteous_a law_n in_o charge_n to_o adam_n inable_v he_o with_o habitual_a righteousness_n for_o the_o fulfil_n of_o that_o law_n and_o yet_o determine_v that_o he_o shall_v not_o fulfil_v it_o answ_n we_o have_v from_o clear_a and_o unshaken_a principle_n but_o now_o prove_v that_o god_n have_v decree_v that_o way_n of_o his_o glory_n or_o the_o glory_n of_o those_o attribute_n in_o man_n final_a state_n which_o necessary_o suppose_v sin_n not_o to_o the_o decree_n but_o to_o his_o glory_n but_o if_o god_n have_v not_o make_v man_n righteous_a and_o give_v he_o a_o righteous_a law_n in_o charge_n and_o leave_v he_o to_o the_o violation_n of_o that_o law_n there_o can_v have_v be_v no_o sin_n in_o man_n herein_o be_v sin_n man_n transgress_v that_o law_n which_o he_o be_v command_v to_o observe_v and_o for_o fulfil_v
