it_o be_v that_o christ_n do_v the_o work_n which_o god_n the_o father_n have_v commit_v to_o he_o which_o he_o have_v put_v into_o his_o hand_n which_o he_o have_v give_v he_o to_o do_v and_o then_o the_o manner_n how_o he_o do_v it_o he_o do_v it_o absolute_o and_o complete_o he_o do_v not_o enter_v on_o it_o and_o desist_v again_o he_o do_v not_o give_v it_o over_o when_o he_o have_v begin_v no_o he_o follow_v and_o pursue_v it_o till_o he_o have_v bring_v it_o to_o perfection_n i_o have_v finish_v the_o work_n which_o thou_o give_v i_o to_o do_v at_o this_o time_n i_o shall_v fasten_v on_o the_o first_o of_o these_o what_o it_o be_v that_o christ_n do_v the_o work_n which_o god_n the_o father_n put_v into_o his_o hand_n which_o he_o have_v give_v he_o to_o do_v to_o give_v be_v sometime_o nothing_o else_o but_o to_o ordain_v or_o to_o appoint_v or_o to_o impose_v a_o thing_n upon_o another_o and_o therefore_o they_o that_o have_v the_o legislative_a power_n be_v say_v with_o we_o to_o give_v law_n that_o be_v by_o their_o authority_n to_o enact_v it_o and_o impose_v it_o on_o those_o that_o be_v subject_v to_o their_o power_n and_o to_o the_o same_o effect_n our_o saviour_n christ_n himself_o use_v the_o very_a same_o expression_n john_n 13.34_o a_o new_a commandment_n give_v i_o unto_o you_o because_o he_o lay_v it_o on_o they_o now_o by_o his_o authority_n two_o sort_n either_o of_o satisfaction_n or_o of_o application_n his_o work_n of_o satisfaction_n by_o which_o he_o full_o and_o complete_o answer_v the_o justice_n of_o his_o father_n for_o the_o sin_n of_o all_o the_o world_n if_o you_o respect_v the_o merit_n and_o the_o value_n of_o these_o work_n of_o he_o his_o work_n of_o application_n by_o which_o this_o satisfaction_n come_v to_o be_v apply_v and_o so_o according_o to_o be_v effectual_a to_o such_o particular_a and_o individual_a man_n now_o in_o both_o these_o work_n of_o he_o he_o be_v order_v by_o his_o father_n as_o i_o shall_v show_v you_o brief_o and_o in_o order_n first_o he_o be_v order_v by_o his_o father_n in_o his_o work_n of_o satisfaction_n those_o which_o he_o do_v to_o satisfy_v his_o justice_n and_o to_o pacify_v his_o anger_n and_o so_o according_o to_o reconcile_v he_o to_o his_o people_n now_o these_o work_n of_o satisfaction_n may_v be_v reduce_v especial_o to_o two_o head_n for_o they_o be_v either_o work_n of_o active_a or_o else_o they_o be_v work_n of_o passive_a obedience_n and_o i_o will_v show_v you_o that_o his_o father_n order_v he_o in_o both_o these_o 1._o jesus_n christ_n be_v order_v by_o his_o father_n in_o his_o work_n of_o active_a obedience_n he_o do_v they_o by_o his_o father_n rule_n and_o in_o subjection_n to_o his_o father_n law_n for_o though_o if_o you_o look_v downward_o he_o give_v law_n to_o other_o and_o therefore_o he_o be_v call_v the_o lawgiver_n yet_o on_o the_o other_o side_n if_o you_o look_v upward_o he_o receive_v law_n from_o god_n the_o law_n subject_a to_o the_o ceremonial_a law_n and_o therefore_o circumcise_v subject_a to_o the_o moral_a law_n and_o therefore_o conversant_a in_o all_o the_o work_n and_o duty_n of_o holiness_n to_o god_n and_o of_o righteousness_n to_o man_n and_o this_o not_o only_o as_o a_o man_n but_o as_o a_o mediator_n and_o a_o surety_n in_o our_o stead_n he_o sanctify_a himself_o and_o live_v holy_o and_o consequent_o in_o obedience_n to_o the_o law_n and_o will_n of_o god_n for_o our_o sake_n what_o the_o law_n can_v not_o do_v in_o we_o it_o do_v in_o christ_n as_o the_o apostle_n paul_n intimate_v rom._n 8.3_o it_o can_v not_o make_v we_o perfect_o obedient_a but_o it_o make_v christ_n so_o it_o can_v not_o be_v fulfil_v in_o we_o but_o it_o be_v fulfil_v in_o christ_n and_o by_o christ_n in_o our_o stead_n and_o for_o our_o sake_n he_o live_v exact_o by_o his_o father_n rule_n and_o law_n in_o every_o thing_n his_o work_n be_v always_o regulate_v by_o his_o father_n will_n and_o
