be_v minister_v in_o justice_n against_o the_o transgressor_n which_o err_v from_o the_o statute_n and_o ordinance_n that_o be_v therein_o contain_v q._n but_o be_v not_o people_n in_o this_o age_n under_o a_o gospel_n administration_n and_o be_v they_o to_o be_v bring_v back_o again_o under_o the_o law_n a._n they_o that_o have_v not_o pass_v through_o the_o administration_n of_o the_o law_n in_o themselves_o they_o be_v not_o under_o a_o gospel_n administration_n and_o therefore_o they_o can_v be_v bring_v back_o again_o because_o they_o never_o go_v forward_o but_o they_o be_v to_o be_v bring_v into_o that_o which_o hitherto_o they_o have_v not_o know_v nor_o understand_v for_o a_o gospel_n administration_n bare_o profess_v will_v not_o do_v people_n any_o good_a and_o so_o it_o be_v that_o many_o in_o this_o age_n look_v over_o the_o law_n as_o a_o administration_n below_o their_o profession_n and_o that_o the_o law_n be_v a_o more_o proper_a administration_n in_o age_n past_a and_o more_o particular_o to_o the_o jew_n not_o understand_v that_o it_o have_v its_o proper_a administration_n in_o man_n while_o sin_n and_o transgression_n remain_v in_o he_o and_o so_o it_o be_v in_o as_o full_a force_n in_o this_o age_n upon_o all_o transgressor_n as_o ever_o it_o have_v be_v in_o age_n past_a for_o whosoever_o in_o this_o age_n that_o do_v offend_v in_o one_o point_n of_o it_o they_o will_v be_v find_v guilty_a of_o all_o and_o the_o judgement_n will_v take_v hold_n to_o the_o correct_v of_o the_o guilty_a for_o god_n will_v by_o no_o mean_n clear_v the_o guilty_a q._n and_o be_v the_o throne_n of_o judgement_n set_v up_o under_o the_o law_n to_o judge_v and_o condemn_v the_o transgressor_n of_o the_o law_n a._n yes_o it_o be_v so_o that_o every_o man_n may_v fear_v the_o lord_n god_n who_o give_v forth_o his_o law_n in_o man_n to_o be_v keep_v and_o not_o to_o be_v break_v q._n but_o be_v it_o possible_a that_o man_n can_v keep_v the_o law_n in_o all_o thing_n and_o not_o offend_v in_o any_o thing_n or_o that_o he_o can_v perform_v the_o requiring_n of_o god_n in_o that_o dispensation_n as_o it_o be_v a_o covenant_n of_o work_n a._n if_o there_o be_v not_o a_o possibility_n on_o man_n part_n to_o keep_v it_o than_o it_o will_v seem_v hard_a that_o the_o lord_n shall_v command_v it_o and_o require_v it_o and_o for_o not_o keep_v it_o to_o judge_v and_o condemn_v for_o it_o and_o there_o be_v some_o in_o age_n past_a that_o walk_v before_o the_o lord_n with_o perfect_a heart_n and_o that_o under_o the_o administration_n of_o the_o law_n but_o the_o shortness_n of_o observe_v or_o man_n part_n be_v the_o weakness_n and_o unprofit_v ableness_n of_o the_o flesh_n so_o that_o he_o many_o time_n can_v do_v the_o thing_n that_o he_o will_v and_o therein_o the_o first_o covenant_n be_v find_v faulty_a not_o in_o itself_o but_o in_o the_o sinful_a flesh_n and_o if_o it_o have_v not_o be_v so_o concern_v the_o observe_n of_o the_o first_o covenant_n there_o can_v not_o be_v place_n for_o the_o second_o and_o therefore_o the_o work_n of_o the_o first_o covenant_n do_v not_o obtain_v life_n and_o salvation_n but_o the_o free_a grace_n in_o the_o second_o covenant_n that_o all_o people_n may_v die_v to_o themselves_o according_a to_o the_o flesh_n and_o live_v unto_o god_n according_a to_o the_o spirit_n that_o so_o life_n and_o salvation_n may_v not_o be_v of_o work_n but_o by_o grace_n in_o the_o rich_a mercy_n of_o god_n through_o jesus_n christ_n who_o in_o his_o full_a and_o glorious_a appearance_n in_o man_n be_v the_o end_n of_o the_o law_n for_o righteousness_n and_o bring_v life_n and_o immortality_n to_o light_v by_o the_o cospel_n and_o then_o there_o be_v no_o more_o servitude_n or_o bondage_n under_o the_o part_n in_o it_o as_o a_o administration_n to_o salvation_n q._n what_o be_v his_o administration_n in_o that_o appearance_n of_o love_n grace_n and_o mercy_n unto_o such_o as_o reject_v he_o a._n a_o administration_n
god_n mercy_n and_o so_o come_v to_o receive_v a_o answer_n of_o their_o prayer_n for_o when_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n do_v not_o incline_v to_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n it_o be_v in_o rebellion_n against_o he_o and_o god_n do_v not_o show_v mercy_n to_o the_o rebellious_a and_o so_o people_n pass_v over_o their_o time_n in_o word_n but_o want_v the_o life_n which_o shall_v do_v they_o good_a and_o when_o they_o come_v to_o finish_v their_o day_n their_o heart_n be_v as_o far_o off_o from_o god_n law_n as_o the_o first_o day_n when_o they_o begin_v to_o pray_v that_o he_o will_v incline_v their_o heart_n to_o keep_v it_o and_o they_o have_v no_o assurance_n that_o god_n will_v show_v they_o mercy_n though_o they_o have_v be_v pray_v in_o word_n all_o their_o life-time_n and_o likewise_o in_o answer_n to_o the_o lettany_n where_o they_o pray_v after_o this_o manner_n good_a lord_n deliver_v we_o and_o we_o beseech_v thou_o to_o hear_v we_o good_a lord_n and_o this_o be_v formality_n and_o never_o come_v to_o any_o assurance_n that_o they_o be_v deliver_v or_o that_o their_o request_n be_v hear_v and_o answer_v and_o again_o in_o that_o which_o they_o call_v the_o creed_n they_o confess_v they_o believe_v in_o god_n now_o they_o that_o believe_v in_o god_n their_o heart_n be_v incline_v to_o keep_v his_o law_n and_o he_o show_v they_o mercy_n and_o hear_v they_o and_o deliver_v they_o for_o they_o that_o believe_v in_o god_n they_o do_v his_o will_n and_o if_o any_o man_n do_v his_o will_n he_o he_o hear_v and_o then_o again_o they_o confess_v that_o they_o be_v miserable_a sinner_n and_o do_v those_o thing_n they_o ought_v not_o to_o do_v and_o if_o so_o than_o not_o believer_n for_o they_o that_o believe_v in_o christ_n be_v not_o miserable_a sinner_n neither_o do_v those_o thing_n they_o ought_v not_o to_o do_v but_o by_o believe_v in_o christ_n they_o be_v save_v and_o he_o take_v away_o their_o sin_n that_o make_v they_o miserable_a which_o all_o wickedness_n proceed_v and_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o wicked_a be_v a_o abomination_n unto_o god_n and_o though_o there_o may_v be_v many_o which_o may_v deny_v the_o common_a way_n of_o prayer_n as_o it_o be_v use_v in_o the_o common_a worship_n and_o set_v up_o some_o other_o way_n of_o prayer_n as_o more_o excellent_a yet_o whilst_o the_o flesh_n and_o blood_n and_o will_v of_o man_n conceive_v it_o and_o perform_v it_o there_o be_v no_o difference_n in_o the_o ground_n between_o that_o which_o they_o deny_v and_o that_o which_o they_o set_v up_o and_o practice_v neither_o do_v god_n regard_v it_o any_o more_o than_o that_o which_o they_o deny_v and_o though_o such_o prayer_n may_v not_o appear_v so_o formal_a as_o those_o that_o be_v common_o use_v in_o the_o common_a worship_n yet_o they_o be_v conceive_v in_o the_o very_a same_o womb_n and_o do_v not_o at_o all_o differ_v in_o the_o ground_n for_o as_o the_o wisdom_n of_o the_o flesh_n have_v compose_v so_o many_o set-prayer_n in_o word_n and_o have_v prescribe_v a_o way_n to_o observe_v and_o practice_v the_o same_o and_o that_o none_o be_v either_o to_o add_v or_o diminish_v as_o to_o what_o be_v so_o compose_v even_o so_o the_o same_o wisdom_n may_v deny_v that_o prescribe_a way_n as_o be_v formal_a and_o may_v invent_v something_o instead_o of_o it_o in_o a_o high_a mystery_n of_o iniquity_n and_o though_o they_o may_v not_o speak_v in_o such_o formal_a compose_a word_n yet_o in_o the_o same_o wisdom_n their_o word_n be_v formal_a not_o at_o all_o differ_v in_o the_o ground_n or_o conception_n but_o only_o in_o the_o expression_n and_o observation_n and_o in_o their_o practice_n it_o be_v as_o formal_a as_o that_o which_o they_o deny_v for_o they_o have_v a_o constant_a observation_n by_o way_n of_o prayer_n in_o what_o they_o practise_v which_o in_o itself_o be_v as_o formal_a as_o the_o set-prayer_n common_o use_v in_o the_o common_a worship_n for_o they_o can_v set_v their_o own_o time_n both_o to_o begin_v and_o to_o make_v a_o end_n and_o when_o they_o will_v they_o can_v utter_v word_n and_o when_o they_o will_v they_o can_v be_v silent_a and_o they_o have_v their_o own_o conception_n at_o command_n and_o can_v either_o perform_v or_o not_o perform_v in_o their_o own_o time_n and_o this_o be_v the_o unclean_a part_n which_o offer_v unto_o god_n which_o he_o do_v not_o accept_v neither_o be_v any_o prayer_n regard_v or_o accept_v of_o god_n but_o the_o prayer_n which_o be_v offer_v to_o he_o by_o his_o own_o birth_n so_o that_o these_o few_o thing_n be_v serious_o consider_v it_o be_v manifest_a that_o the_o way_n of_o prayer_n as_o it_o be_v now_o common_o use_v observe_v and_o practise_v in_o the_o common_a worship_n be_v not_o true_a prayr_n but_o a_o bare_a formality_n and_o not_o only_o so_o but_o also_o contradictory_n &_o so_o be_v not_o perform_v with_o a_o right_a understanding_n and_o it_o be_v as_o manifest_v that_o all_o other_o way_n of_o pray_v which_o be_v conceive_v and_o perform_v in_o the_o wisdom_n of_o the_o flesh_n be_v not_o true_a prayer_n neither_o do_v god_n regard_v it_o more_o than_o the_o other_o because_o it_o be_v perform_v in_o the_o same_o nature_n and_o differ_v in_o nothing_o but_o in_o the_o manner_n and_o however_o they_o may_v differ_v in_o the_o practice_n yet_o they_o meet_v in_o the_o ground_n and_o be_v offer_v up_o in_o the_o unclean_a part_n and_o so_o be_v not_o perform_v with_o a_o understanding_n as_o prayer_n in_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n be_v now_o the_o spirit_n
