be_v ask_v why_o do_v a_o repent_a soul_n abhor_v sinful_a self_n i_o answer_v he_o do_v it_o upon_o these_o four_o consideration_n first_o because_o it_o appear_v to_o he_o as_o a_o filthy_a thing_n ezek._n 16.5_o psal_n 38.7_o prov._n 12.22_o all_o which_o scripture_n show_v that_o as_o sin_n be_v a_o filthy_a thing_n in_o itself_o so_o it_o appear_v such_o to_o a_o repent_a soul_n they_o that_o love_v their_o sin_n look_v upon_o they_o as_o fine_a thing_n or_o as_o their_o beauty_n but_o to_o a_o repent_a soul_n nothing_o appear_v more_o dirty_a and_o filthy_a and_o who_o abhor_v not_o be_v to_o the_o soul_n three_o a_o repent_a soul_n be_v sick_a very_o sick_a of_o his_o sin_n they_o have_v burden_v his_o conscience_n as_o unwholesome_a food_n do_v the_o stomach_n now_o if_o a_o man_n abhor_v that_o which_o have_v make_v he_o stomack-sick_a much_o more_o will_v he_o abhor_v that_o which_o have_v indeed_o and_o not_o so_o much_o from_o the_o quantity_n as_o from_o the_o quality_n and_o nature_n of_o it_o make_v he_o conscience-sick_a four_o a_o repent_a person_n have_v vomit_v or_o cast_v up_o his_o sin_n by_o a_o humble_a confession_n of_o they_o always_o to_o god_n and_o in_o some_o case_n to_o man_n repentance_n be_v the_o soul_n vomit_v now_o as_o any_o man_n loathe_v his_o own_o vomit_n so_o a_o man_n true_o repent_v loathe_v the_o sin_n which_o he_o have_v thus_o vomit_v upon_o all_o these_o account_v a_o repent_a soul_n loathe_v sinful_a self_n or_o sin_n in_o himself_o three_o but_o why_o do_v a_o repent_a soul_n abhor_v righteous_a self_n i_o answer_v first_o because_o he_o be_v convince_v that_o self-righteousness_n be_v a_o weak_a imperfect_a thing_n even_o in_o sanctification_n and_o therefore_o he_o be_v so_o far_o from_o boast_v of_o it_o or_o trust_v in_o it_o that_o he_o have_v a_o kind_n of_o abhorrence_n of_o it_o second_o he_o see_v that_o as_o to_o justification_n it_o be_v a_o filthy_a abominable_a thing_n isa_n 64.6_o
