because_o god_n in_o express_a commandment_n have_v make_v we_o subject_a to_o such_o law_n if_o unjust_a then_o be_v we_o not_o in_o conscience_n bind_v to_o observe_v they_o such_o unjust_a humane_a law_n have_v their_o difference_n for_o first_o they_o be_v say_v to_o be_v unjust_a either_o because_o he_o that_o make_v they_o have_v no_o authority_n so_o to_o do_v or_o have_v authority_n because_o he_o make_v they_o rather_o for_o his_o own_o private_a then_o for_o any_o common_a good_a or_o make_v they_o for_o the_o common_a good_a because_o he_o bid_v and_o command_v that_o which_o his_o glory_n they_o leave_v unto_o we_o a_o liberty_n either_o to_o keep_v they_o as_o well_o as_o we_o shall_v be_v able_a or_o not_o to_o keep_v they_o at_o all_o unless_o charity_n which_o charge_v we_o in_o any_o wise_a to_o beware_v of_o give_v offence_n to_o our_o neighbour_n command_v we_o to_o observe_v they_o rather_o than_o we_o break_v this_o bond_n of_o charity_n rather_o of_o man_n be_v call_v unjust_a if_o he_o that_o make_v they_o have_v no_o authority_n so_o to_o do_v or_o have_v authority_n if_o he_o make_v they_o rather_o for_o his_o own_o private_a then_o for_o any_o common_a good_a or_o make_v they_o for_o the_o common_a good_a if_o he_o bid_v and_o command_v that_o which_o be_v above_o man_n power_n to_o perform_v in_o a_o second_o sense_n humane_a law_n be_v say_v to_o be_v unjust_a if_o they_o bid_v that_o which_o be_v contrary_a to_o god_n law_n to_o god_n reveal_v will_n to_o god_n glory_n and_o these_o law_n be_v so_o far_o from_o bind_v we_o to_o their_o observance_n as_o that_o the_o love_n of_o god_n dwell_v in_o our_o soul_n deep_o charge_v we_o with_o all_o our_o might_n to_o resist_v they_o the_o answer_n which_o peter_n and_o john_n make_v to_o those_o of_o jerusalem_n act._n 4.19_o well_o fit_v this_o place_n whether_o it_o be_v right_a in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n to_o obey_v you_o rather_o than_o god_n judge_v you_o and_o if_o man_n shall_v require_v any_o thing_n of_o we_o which_o by_o any_o mean_n may_v redound_v to_o god_n dishonour_n leave_v we_o man_n to_o themselves_o and_o reserve_v we_o all_o due_a obedience_n for_o our_o god_n we_o ought_v rather_o to_o obey_v god_n than_o man_n yet_o be_v there_o humane_a law_n just_a law_n law_n of_o equity_n and_o uprightness_n bind_v the_o conscience_n of_o all_o that_o be_v place_v in_o public_a society_n whether_o civil_a or_o spiritual_a in_o such_o society_n though_o the_o law_n of_o nature_n and_o of_o reason_n be_v of_o necessary_a force_n yet_o those_o law_n suffice_v not_o over_o and_o beside_o they_o somewhat_o be_v necessary_a namely_o humane_a &_o positive_a law_n together_o with_o that_o law_n which_o be_v of_o commerce_n of_o merchandise_n of_o exchange_n between_o the_o great_a society_n the_o law_n of_o nation_n and_o of_o nation_n christian_a humane_a law_n be_v measure_n in_o respect_n of_o man_n to_o direct_v their_o action_n
