which_o purify_v the_o heart_n and_o produce_v obedience_n as_o you_o have_v hear_v before_o and_o since_o god_n have_v plain_o tell_v we_o that_o we_o can_v be_v save_v without_o holiness_n if_o we_o take_v up_o a_o foolish_a confidence_n that_o we_o may_v be_v save_v without_o it_o this_o be_v not_o trust_v in_o god_n but_o in_o our_o own_o fancy_n and_o the_o devil_n delusion_n we_o may_v safe_o trust_v in_o god_n promise_n but_o then_o let_v we_o see_v to_o perform_v the_o condition_n and_o become_v such_o a_o humble_a holy_a people_n as_o he_o have_v promise_v for_o christ_n sake_n to_o own_o and_o save_v take_v heed_n also_o of_o mistake_v the_o nature_n of_o repentance_n as_o if_o it_o be_v only_o be_v a_o little_a sorry_a for_o our_o sin_n and_o cry_v to_o god_n for_o mercy_n and_o then_o all_o will_v be_v well_o though_o we_o go_v on_o still_o in_o our_o old_a way_n but_o this_o be_v a_o most_o dangerous_a mistake_n for_o a_o man_n never_o true_o repent_v till_o he_o forsake_v his_o sin_n and_o change_v his_o course_n when_o the_o drunkard_n become_v sober_a and_o the_o profane_a man_n a_o devout_a worshipper_n of_o god_n and_o so_o continue_v true_a repentance_n change_v the_o heart_n and_o life_n of_o the_o sinner_n and_o last_o do_v not_o think_v it_o enough_o to_o forsake_v some_o sin_n and_o keep_v other_o to_o do_v some_o good_a duty_n and_o neglect_v other_o and_o then_o excuse_v yourselves_o by_o say_v it_o be_v your_o fail_n every_o man_n have_v his_o fail_n and_o this_o be_v i_o so_o say_v the_o drunkard_n and_o the_o whoremonger_n and_o so_o say_v the_o angry_a man_n when_o he_o swear_v or_o curse_n or_o give_v bad_a language_n but_o such_o sin_n as_o be_v commit_v against_o knowledge_n and_o conscience_n and_o continue_v from_o time_n to_o time_n when_o we_o have_v leisure_n to_o think_v beforehand_o and_o prevent_v they_o these_o be_v to_o be_v reckon_v as_o wilful_a sin_n not_o as_o fail_n especial_o such_o gross_a sin_n as_o drunkenness_n whoredom_n common_a swear_v or_o lie_v and_o the_o like_a be_v not_o to_o be_v reckon_v as_o fail_n indeed_o whatever_o sin_n a_o man_n love_v and_o plead_v for_o and_o allow_v himself_o in_o be_v not_o a_o mere_a infirmity_n but_o a_o wilful_a transgression_n a_o good_a man_n hate_v all_o sin_n as_o he_o do_v sickness_n and_o strive_v and_o watch_n and_o pray_v against_o it_o he_o hate_v every_o false_a way_n and_o have_v a_o respect_n to_o all_o god_n command_n a_o true_a christian_a must_v be_v a_o entire_o good_a man_n all_o of_o a_o piece_n a_o great_a matter_n i_o find_v it_o be_v with_o many_o people_n that_o they_o do_v no_o wrong_n to_o no_o body_n nor_o have_v any_o malice_n in_o their_o heart_n and_o therefore_o they_o think_v themselves_o in_o good_a condition_n god-ward_o but_o though_o this_o be_v one_o good_a part_n of_o our_o duty_n yet_o it_o be_v but_o a_o part_n we_o must_v also_o see_v that_o we_o do_v not_o wrong_v almighty_a god_n and_o our_o own_o soul_n by_o set_v our_o heart_n chief_o on_o this_o world_n by_o neglect_v his_o worship_n and_o service_n by_o live_v in_o excess_n or_o uncleanness_n or_o any_o other_o know_v sin_n we_o must_v be_v both_o pious_a towards_o god_n loyal_a to_o our_o prince_n just_a and_o charitable_a to_o our_o neighbour_n humble_a and_o sober_a every_o way_n holy_a and_o good_a if_o we_o will_v approve_v ourselves_o to_o be_v christian_n indeed_o he_o that_o wilful_o offend_v in_o one_o point_n and_o allow_v himself_o therein_o be_v guilty_a in_o effect_n of_o break_v the_o whole_a law_n for_o he_o despise_v god_n authority_n and_o if_o he_o meet_v with_o the_o same_o temptation_n will_v commit_v any_o other_o sin_n and_o as_o be_v common_o and_o true_o say_v in_o this_o case_n one_o stab_v though_o but_o with_o a_o pen-kife_a may_v wound_v a_o man_n as_o mortal_o as_o twenty_o thrust_n with_o a_o sword_n so_o one_o sin_n love_v and_o delight_v in_o may_v damn_v a_o man_n soul_n as_o well_o as_o a_o thousand_o james_n 2._o 10._o have_v thus_o endeavour_v brief_o to_o remove_v your_o objection_n and_o mistake_v i_o do_v now_o again_o in_o the_o last_o place_n come_v to_o enforce_v my_o exhortation_n that_o you_o will_v serious_o and_o steadfast_o resolve_v to_o cast_v away_o every_o sin_n and_o most_o entire_o devote_v yourselves_o to_o the_o lead_v such_o a_o godly_a righteous_a and_o sober_a life_n as_o you_o be_v bind_v to_o by_o your_o christian_a baptism_n if_o you_o be_v in_o dispute_n with_o yourselves_o whether_o you_o shall_v resolve_v upon_o it_o pray_v look_v over_o the_o argument_n before_o lay_v down_o and_o ponder_v they_o in_o your_o mind_n and_o then_o certain_o you_o can_v
