god_n have_v such_o great_a and_o tender_a love_n to_o all_o adam_n posterity_n and_o see_v they_o through_o their_o folly_n inadvertency_n and_o corruption_n of_o their_o heart_n run_v into_o hell-fire_n and_o he_o can_v stop_v they_o and_o save_v they_o and_o do_v not_o where_o be_v his_o love_n and_o desire_n to_o save_v they_o though_o i_o can_v remember_v the_o very_a word_n yet_o it_o the_o objection_n his_o answer_n be_v this_o what_o say_v he_o if_o i_o say_v god_n can_v that_o be_v that_o god_n can_v not_o convert_v they_o and_o so_o leave_v it_o to_o such_o absurdity_n and_o blasphemy_n do_v arminianism_n lead_v 2._o other_o of_o they_o say_v that_o god_n indeed_o can_v change_v the_o rebellious_a will_n of_o man_n but_o they_o allege_v two_o thing_n 1._o they_o say_v turn_v the_o heart_n to_o god_n i_o answer_v that_o god_n have_v promise_v to_o some_o absolute_o promise_v to_o the_o elect_n that_o which_o divine_n call_v the_o first_o grace_n jer._n 31._o heb._n 8._o i_o will_v put_v my_o fear_n in_o their_o heart_n i_o will_v write_v my_o law_n in_o their_o heart_n ezek._n 36.26_o 27._o a_o new_a heart_n also_o will_v i_o give_v you_o a_o new_a spirit_n i_o will_v put_v within_o you_o and_o i_o will_v take_v away_o the_o heart_n of_o stone_n that_o be_v take_v away_o the_o stubbornness_n and_o rebellion_n of_o your_o will_n and_o affection_n and_o i_o this_o great_a free_a and_o undeserved_a grace_n to_o they_o 2._o they_o say_v it_o be_v dishonourable_a to_o the_o will_n of_o man_n yea_o impossible_a for_o the_o will_n of_o man_n to_o be_v force_v therefore_o they_o say_v that_o all_o that_o god_n do_v towards_o the_o conversion_n of_o any_o be_v by_o moral_a suasion_n and_o urge_v argument_n to_o this_o great_a queen_n the_o will_n of_o man_n one_o that_o will_v be_v save_v in_o the_o way_n that_o god_n have_v appoint_v until_o god_n by_o his_o immediate_a hand_n do_v secret_o touch_v and_o change_v his_o will_n i._n e._n that_o though_o all_o will_v be_v save_v from_o hell_n under_o the_o notion_n of_o a_o state_n of_o misery_n yet_o till_o god_n give_v special_a grace_n a_o new_a heart_n put_v a_o new_a bent_n upon_o the_o will_n gross_a sin_n for_o a_o time_n and_o yet_o afterward_o be_v entangle_v in_o vile_a doctrine_n and_o practice_n and_o return_v with_o the_o dog_n to_o the_o vomit_n this_o exposition_n will_v stand_v very_o well_o 2._o but_o if_o their_o be_v buy_v shall_v be_v understand_v of_o their_o be_v buy_v by_o christ_n than_o the_o meaning_n be_v only_o this_o that_o these_o apostate_n once_o think_v christ_n have_v indeed_o buy_v they_o by_o the_o inestimable_a and_o infinite_a price_n of_o his_o blood_n who_o be_v god_n as_o well_o as_o man_n he_o will_v either_o have_v keep_v they_o out_o of_o those_o vile_a heresy_n and_o practice_n they_o fall_v into_o or_o will_v after_o their_o fall_n have_v renew_v they_o again_o to_o repentance_n for_o christ_n god-man_n be_v able_a to_o get_v and_o keep_v what_o he_o have_v buy_v with_o his_o precious_a blood_n and_o will_v certain_o and_o infallible_o do_v it_o 13._o then_o for_o rom._n 2.16_o in_o the_o day_n when_o god_n shall_v judge_v the_o secret_n of_o man_n by_o jesus_n christ_n according_a to_o my_o gospel_n the_o scope_n of_o the_o apostle_n in_o that_o place_n be_v to_o show_v the_o different_a degree_n of_o light_n and_o knowledge_n the_o jew_n and_o gentile_n have_v and_o that_o they_o shall_v be_v judge_v according_o the_o generality_n of_o the_o gentile_n have_v only_o the_o dim_a light_n of_o nature_n which_o yet_o do_v reveal_v some_o thing_n unto_o they_o as_o that_o there_o be_v a_o god_n that_o parent_n be_v to_o be_v honour_v and_o that_o they_o ought_v to_o be_v kind_a and_o just_a one_o to_o another_o and_o the_o like_a but_o the_o jew_n have_v the_o write_a law_n which_o declare_v more_o of_o the_o will_n of_o god_n to_o they_o now_o the_o apostle_n show_v v._o 12._o that_o as_o many_o as_o have_v sin_v without_o law_n that_o be_v that_o never_o have_v the_o write_a law_n they_o shall_v perish_v without_o law_n that_o be_v they_o shall_v not_o be_v judge_v and_o condemn_v for_o break_v the_o write_a law_n that_o be_v give_v by_o god_n to_o moses_n but_o they_o shall_v be_v judge_v and_o condemn_v for_o sin_v against_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n but_o whereas_o it_o may_v be_v object_v how_o can_v they_o be_v guilty_a of_o sin_n who_o never_o have_v the_o write_a law_n the_o apostle_n answer_v v._o 14._o that_o the_o gentile_n which_o have_v not_o the_o write_v law_n do_v by_o nature_n the_o thing_n contain_v in_o the_o law_n these_o say_v he_o have_v not_o the_o law_n be_v a_o law_n unto_o themselves_o that_o be_v in_o some_o few_o thing_n they_o have_v the_o write_n of_o the_o law_n in_o their_o heart_n in_o some_o few_o particular_n as_o be_v say_v before_o and_o the_o apostle_n give_v this_o demonstration_n of_o it_o that_o these_o gentile_n have_v some_o knowledge_n of_o good_a and_o evil_a because_o their_o conscience_n sometime_o accuse_v they_o and_o bear_v witness_n against_o they_o and_o sometime_o their_o conscience_n excuse_v they_o as_o to_o some_o act_n but_o the_o apostle_n show_v that_o their_o conscience_n will_v more_o full_o accuse_v they_o in_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n so_o that_o they_o shall_v have_v nothing_o to_o say_v why_o they_o shall_v not_o have_v the_o sentence_n of_o condemnation_n pass_v against_o they_o then_o the_o apostle_n show_v that_o god_n will_v judge_v the_o world_n by_o jesus_n christ_n at_o the_o last_o day_n according_a to_o my_o gospel_n that_o be_v according_a to_o the_o doctrine_n that_o i_o preach_v this_o doctrine_n paul_n preach_v upon_o all_o occasion_n that_o god_n will_v judge_v the_o world_n by_o that_o man_n christ_n who_o he_o have_v ordain_v this_o short_a paraphrase_n may_v give_v light_n into_o this_o context_n i_o wonder_v that_o any_o shall_v bring_v this_o place_n preach_v all_o over_o it_o be_v not_o confine_v to_o judea_n not_o that_o the_o apostle_n or_o any_o other_o do_v at_o that_o extraordinary_a time_n preach_v the_o gospel_n to_o every_o individual_a person_n then_o in_o the_o world_n but_o to_o a_o great_a number_n then_o in_o all_o nation_n then_o know_v sure_o there_o be_v not_o then_o preacher_n enough_o to_o go_v to_o every_o town_n but_o the_o time_n be_v come_v to_o call_v the_o elect_a among_o the_o gentile_n the_o lord_n order_v so_o much_o preach_v every_o where_n as_o shall_v be_v sufficient_a to_o bring_v those_o to_o believe_v who_o be_v ordain_v unto_o life_n christ_n be_v preach_v to_o a_o nation_n or_o a_o town_n be_v no_o proof_n that_o christ_n die_v for_o all_o that_o nation_n or_o town_n but_o when_o the_o lord_n order_n by_o his_o providence_n that_o the_o preach_v of_o the_o gospel_n be_v send_v to_o a_o place_n it_o be_v a_o sign_n that_o there_o be_v some_o elect_n and_o ransom_v people_n there_o who_o the_o lord_n will_v call_v out_o of_o darkness_n into_o his_o marvellous_a light_n 15._o i_o shall_v have_v name_v one_o text_n before_o that_o this_o author_n set_v down_o and_o that_o be_v john_n 3.17_o 18._o god_n send_v not_o his_o son_n into_o the_o world_n to_o condemn_v the_o world_n but_o that_o the_o world_n through_o he_o may_v be_v save_v he_o that_o believe_v on_o he_o be_v not_o condemn_v but_o he_o that_o believe_v not_o be_v condemn_v already_o because_o he_o have_v not_o believe_v in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o only_o beget_v son_n of_o god_n for_o the_o understanding_n of_o this_o scripture_n we_o must_v observe_v that_o our_o saviour_n speak_v these_o word_n to_o the_o jew_n and_o they_o have_v a_o opinion_n that_o the_o messiah_n be_v to_o come_v only_o for_o they_o they_o look_v for_o the_o messiah_n to_o come_v as_o some_o great_a monarch_n to_o tread_v down_o all_o the_o other_o nation_n of_o the_o world_n and_o to_o set_v up_o the_o jew_n in_o a_o glorious_a estate_n as_o to_o outward_a dominion_n the_o generality_n of_o the_o jew_n be_v so_o blind_v that_o they_o do_v not_o look_v for_o the_o messiah_n as_o a_o spiritual_a saviour_n but_o as_o one_o that_o shall_v destroy_v the_o nation_n of_o the_o world_n by_o outward_a force_n therefore_o our_o saviour_n tell_v they_o that_o he_o be_v not_o send_v now_o at_o his_o first_o come_n to_o destroy_v judge_n and_o condemn_v any_o but_o he_o be_v send_v to_o save_v the_o elect_n not_o only_o among_o the_o jew_n but_o among_o the_o gentile_n throughout_o the_o whole_a world_n and_o that_o whosoever_o believe_v on_o he_o whether_o he_o be_v a_o jew_n by_o nature_n or_o a_o sinner_n of_o the_o gentile_n be_v not_o condemn_v but_o he_o that_o believe_v not_o for_o the_o present_a nor_o hereafter_o be_v condemn_v already_o viz._n by_o the_o sentence_n of_o the_o law_n gal._n 3.10_o under_o which_o sentence_n of_o condemnation_n he_o must_v abide_v because_o he_o have_v not_o believe_v on_o the_o son_n of_o god_n which_o be_v the_o only_a way_n and_o mean_n to_o deliver_v any_o from_o the_o sentence_n of_o condemnation_n which_o the_o law_n have_v pass_v upon_o they_o 16._o micah_n 6.8_o he_o have_v show_v thou_o o_o man_n what_o be_v good_a etc._n etc._n god_n show_v to_o all_o man_n by_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n something_o of_o what_o be_v moral_o good_a something_o of_o what_o god_n
the_o elect_n notwithstanding_o they_o be_v not_o justify_v till_o the_o holy_a spirit_n do_v in_o due_a time_n actual_o apply_v christ_n to_o they_o i_o answer_v that_o when_o the_o assembly_n of_o divine_n say_v that_o god_n do_v from_o all_o eternity_n decree_n to_o justify_v the_o elect_n yet_o they_o be_v not_o justify_v till_o the_o holy_a spirit_n do_v actual_o apply_v christ_n you_o as_o if_o you_o do_v not_o at_o all_o understand_v what_o you_o write_v of_o for_o observe_v you_o be_v write_v of_o election_n and_o you_o bring_v a_o passage_n of_o the_o assembly_n about_o justification_n you_o will_v prove_v if_o you_o can_v that_o none_o be_v actual_o elect_v until_o they_o believe_v and_o say_v that_o the_o assembly_n be_v force_v to_o allow_v that_o none_o be_v actual_o justify_v till_o they_o do_v believe_v sure_o that_o grave_a assembly_n of_o divine_n be_v never_o so_o abuse_v as_o by_o you_o they_o know_v well_o enough_o what_o they_o say_v i_o will_v glory_n so_o let_v that_o be_v well_o observe_v that_o all_o that_o god_n have_v predestinate_v to_o life_n have_v the_o heavenly_a inheritance_n allot_v and_o appoint_v to_o they_o it_o be_v they_o by_o predestination_n by_o election_n 2._o there_o be_v a_o title_n to_o the_o heavenly_a inheritance_n by_o the_o purchase_n of_o christ_n the_o mediator_n 3._o there_o be_v a_o actual_a right_n to_o the_o heavenly_a inheritance_n by_o regeneration_n and_o adoption_n these_o three_o thing_n consider_v the_o answer_n to_o this_o author_n be_v that_o all_o that_o be_v save_v have_v a_o title_n to_o the_o heavenly_a inheritance_n from_o eternity_n by_o election_n by_o the_o gracious_a decree_n of_o god_n the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n be_v prepare_v for_o they_o to_o eternity_n matth._n 25.34_o come_v you_o bless_v of_o my_o father_n inherit_v the_o kingdom_n prepare_v for_o you_o from_o the_o foundation_n of_o the_o world_n as_o if_o our_o saviour_n have_v say_v you_o that_o be_v save_v look_v to_o the_o first_o cause_n of_o it_o you_o be_v bless_v of_o my_o father_n he_o elect_v you_o from_o eternity_n he_o give_v i_o to_o die_v for_o you_o he_o call_v you_o in_o due_a season_n and_o make_v you_o a_o peculiar_a people_n zealous_a of_o good_a work_n and_o thus_o you_o come_v to_o inherit_v the_o kingdom_n again_o the_o elect_n before_o conversion_n have_v right_o in_o christ_n their_o head_n to_o the_o heavenly_a inheritance_n before_o they_o be_v call_v because_o christ_n have_v purchase_v it_o for_o they_o yea_o eternal_a life_n be_v promise_v to_o christ_n for_o they_o as_o their_o head_n in_o the_o covenant_n of_o redemption_n before_o the_o world_n begin_v tit._n 1.12_o but_o when_o the_o apostle_n say_v that_o no_o wicked_a man_n have_v any_o inheritance_n in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n ephes_n 5.5_o the_o meaning_n be_v only_o that_o though_o god_n may_v have_v purpose_v in_o his_o eternal_a counsel_n to_o give_v the_o heavenly_a inheritance_n to_o a_o man_n that_o for_o the_o present_a be_v ungodly_a and_o christ_n the_o mediator_n may_v have_v purchase_v the_o heavenly_a inheritance_n yet_o this_o be_v a_o secret_a thing_n know_v only_o to_o god_n himself_o but_o for_o what_o appear_v yet_o to_o the_o unregenerate_a man_n himself_o or_o to_o other_o he_o have_v no_o part_n nor_o lot_n in_o that_o heavenly_a inheritance_n as_o for_o those_o word_n rom._n 8.33_o who_o shall_v lay_v any_o thing_n to_o the_o charge_n of_o god_n elect_n the_o apostle_n have_v say_v ver._n 30._o who_o he_o predestinate_v they_o he_o also_o call_v and_o who_o he_o call_v they_o he_o also_o justify_v and_o who_o he_o justify_v they_o he_o also_o glorify_v the_o apostle_n seem_v in_o this_o place_n to_o answer_v to_o two_o objection_n that_o some_o may_v make_v 1._o that_o it_o be_v long_o before_o some_o that_o be_v predestinate_v be_v call_v and_o if_o they_o be_v not_o call_v they_o can_v be_v justify_v and_o so_o if_o they_o shall_v die_v before_o they_o be_v call_v what_o will_v become_v of_o they_o the_o apostle_n show_v that_o though_o god_n have_v not_o yet_o call_v they_o he_o will_v call_v they_o and_o though_o there_o may_v be_v a_o charge_n of_o innumerable_a sin_n against_o a_o elect_a person_n before_o he_o be_v convert_v yet_o who_o shall_v lay_v they_o to_o the_o charge_n of_o god_n elect_n to_o damn_v they_o in_o hell_n they_o be_v elect_a and_o god_n election_n stop_v any_o arrest_n of_o a_o elect_a person_n so_o as_o that_o he_o can_v be_v throw_v into_o hell_n the_o elect_n have_v a_o reprieve_n in_o order_n to_o their_o pardon_n in_o god_n time_n 2._o it_o may_v be_v object_v that_o whereas_o the_o apostle_n have_v say_v ver._n 30._o who_o he_o have_v call_v they_o he_o also_o justify_v have_v not_o the_o elect_n after_o they_o be_v call_v if_o they_o live_v any_o long_a time_n after_o their_o conversion_n commit_v many_o sin_n that_o may_v be_v lay_v to_o their_o charge_n they_o do_v not_o sin_n only_o before_o they_o be_v call_v but_o sin_n much_o after_o they_o be_v call_v how_o then_o be_v they_o justify_v the_o apostle_n answer_v who_o shall_v lay_v any_o thing_n to_o the_o charge_n of_o god_n elect_n with_o effect_n so_o as_o to_o bring_v they_o to_o damnation_n in_o hell_n though_o every_o sin_n they_o commit_v do_v deserve_v eternal_a damnation_n yet_o it_o be_v god_n with_o who_o they_o have_v to_o do_v and_o see_v he_o will_v not_o take_v vengeance_n but_o glorify_v his_o free_a grace_n in_o christ_n to_o they_o who_o have_v to_o do_v with_o it_o god_n that_o may_v do_v it_o he_o justify_v they_o yea_o the_o apostle_n go_v on_o and_o show_v v._o 34._o that_o the_o elect_n be_v secure_v from_o eternal_a damnation_n in_o hell_n not_o only_o by_o election_n but_o by_o redemption_n that_o though_o they_o have_v deserve_v it_o as_o well_o as_o other_o yet_o say_v the_o apostle_n who_o shall_v condemn_v that_o be_v the_o elect_a eventual_o and_o eternal_o indeed_o they_o be_v condemn_v by_o the_o law_n till_o they_o be_v in_o christ_n but_o who_o shall_v condemn_v they_o
so_o as_o to_o get_v execution_n against_o they_o in_o hell_n see_v they_o be_v god_n elect_n and_o christ_n have_v die_v for_o they_o man_n know_v not_o what_o they_o do_v when_o they_o set_v their_o wit_n on_o work_n to_o deny_v that_o god_n have_v set_v his_o free_a and_o unchangeable_a love_n upon_o some_o from_o eternity_n whereby_o he_o will_v certain_o and_o infallible_o bring_v they_o to_o grace_n here_o and_o eternal_a glory_n hereafter_o through_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n for_o observe_v take_v away_o election_n and_o you_o take_v away_o redemption_n for_o redemption_n be_v ground_v upon_o election_n joh._n 17.6_o thou_o they_o be_v and_o thou_o give_v they_o i_o thy_o they_n be_v by_o election_n and_o therefore_o thou_o give_v they_o i_o to_o redeem_v and_o bring_v to_o glory_n take_v away_o god_n eternal_a election_n of_o a_o certain_a number_n of_o person_n to_o grace_n and_o glory_n and_o you_o take_v away_o effectual_a call_v and_o conversion_n for_o if_o god_n of_o his_o mere_a grace_n and_o good_a pleasure_n have_v not_o so_o elect_v they_o there_o have_v never_o be_v any_o person_n effectual_o call_v it_o be_v god_n alone_o that_o do_v inward_o and_o effectual_o call_v any_o so_o as_o that_o they_o be_v save_o convert_v and_o if_o he_o have_v not_o free_o predestinate_v and_o elect_v they_o he_o have_v never_o call_v and_o convert_v they_o who_o he_o have_v predestinate_v they_o he_o have_v also_o call_v rom._n 8.30_o take_v away_o god_n eternal_a special_a and_o unchangeable_a love_n to_o a_o certain_a number_n that_o he_o will_v set_v they_o before_o his_o face_n for_o ever_o and_o if_o we_o be_v in_o heaven_n we_o can_v not_o be_v sure_a to_o continue_v there_o what_o a_o multitude_n of_o angel_n sin_v and_o be_v thrust_v down_o to_o hell_n it_o be_v election_n that_o settle_v the_o angel_n that_o see_v god_n face_n for_o ever_o the_o angel_n that_o stand_v be_v call_v the_o elect_a angel_n 1_o tim._n 5.15_o god_n decree_v from_o eternity_n to_o determine_v and_o fix_v their_o will_n unto_o himself_o for_o ever_o it_o be_v from_o this_o eternal_a and_o unchangeable_a love_n of_o god_n in_o election_n that_o the_o angel_n and_o saint_n in_o heaven_n be_v uphold_v in_o love_n and_o praise_n unto_o god_n for_o ever_o it_o have_v be_v a_o old_a objection_n of_o arminian_o and_o revive_v by_o this_o author_n pag._n 26._o that_o many_o have_v despair_v of_o mercy_n and_o have_v lay_v violent_a hand_n upon_o themselves_o and_o many_o he_o say_v in_o this_o city_n he_o mention_n it_o that_o they_o fall_v into_o this_o despair_n because_o they_o be_v tell_v christ_n die_v but_o for_o a_o few_o 1._o i_o answer_v this_o objection_n use_v to_o be_v bring_v too_o against_o election_n for_o my_o part_n i_o do_v not_o remember_v that_o ever_o i_o know_v any_o in_o my_o whole_a life_n that_o lay_v violent_a hand_n upon_o themselves_o because_o they_o hear_v that_o christ_n do_v not_o die_v for_o all_o adam_n posterity_n or_o that_o they_o be_v not_o elect_v the_o truth_n be_v those_o that_o make_v away_o themselves_o may_v sometime_o get_v such_o thing_n into_o their_o thought_n as_o that_o they_o have_v commit_v the_o sin_n against_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o that_o they_o be_v not_o elect_v and_o christ_n do_v not_o die_v for_o they_o but_o the_o true_a cause_n of_o their_o lay_v violent_a hand_n upon_o themselves_o be_v some_o extraordinary_a worldly_a sorrow_n which_o work_v death_n in_o that_o sense_n or_o excess_n of_o melancholy_a whereby_o they_o be_v so_o distract_v that_o they_o be_v not_o themselves_o 2._o as_o to_o despair_n of_o mercy_n if_o god_n give_v up_o a_o man_n to_o satan_n and_o his_o own_o heart_n how_o easy_o may_v any_o man_n fall_v into_o it_o though_o he_o hold_v universal_a redemption_n and_o deny_v election_n for_o our_o saviour_n say_v plain_o matth._n 7.14_o few_o there_o be_v that_o find_v the_o strait_a gate_n and_o narrow_a way_n yea_o i_o will_v maintain_v that_o the_o doctrine_n of_o eternal_a redemption_n and_o of_o christ_n die_a only_a for_o the_o elect_n and_o that_o the_o elect_n who_o christ_n die_v for_o shall_v certain_o and_o infallible_o be_v save_v be_v a_o antidote_n against_o despair_n if_o the_o lord_n please_v to_o put_v in_o with_o it_o and_o that_o the_o deny_v of_o election_n and_o hold_v universal_a redemption_n be_v the_o way_n to_o bring_v those_o that_o have_v a_o deep_a sense_n of_o their_o own_o sinfulness_n and_o unworthiness_n be_v the_o way_n to_o bring_v such_o to_o utter_v despair_n of_o mercy_n i_o make_v it_o out_o thus_o take_v a_o person_n that_o be_v thorough_o convince_v of_o sin_n that_o see_v and_o be_v sensible_a that_o he_o have_v a_o depth_n of_o sin_n in_o his_o nature_n that_o see_v himself_o vile_a and_o abominable_a by_o reason_n of_o the_o universal_a corruption_n of_o his_o nature_n as_o well_o as_o actual_a sin_n more_o than_o the_o hair_n of_o his_o head_n which_o can_v be_v number_v you_o come_v to_o this_o humble_a convince_a person_n with_o your_o arminian_n doctrine_n and_o tell_v he_o that_o god_n do_v not_o decree_v any_o person_n to_o salvation_n from_o eternity_n of_o mere_a grace_n to_o give_v they_o infallible_o both_o grace_n and_o glory_n but_o that_o christ_n die_v for_o all_o adam_n posterity_n say_v the_o convince_a humble_a sinner_n shall_v all_o be_v infallible_o save_v that_o christ_n die_v for_o you_o must_v tell_v he_o according_a to_o the_o tenor_n of_o your_o doctrine_n no_o there_o be_v many_o of_o they_o in_o hell_n when_o he_o die_v and_o never_o shall_v be_v set_v at_o liberty_n from_o their_o everlasting_a chain_n of_o darkness_n yea_o you_o can_v tell_v they_o according_a to_o your_o doctrine_n that_o notwithstanding_o christ_n death_n there_o may_v not_o one_o man_n or_o woman_n in_o the_o world_n have_v be_v save_v true_o this_o doctrine_n be_v enough_o to_o drive_v man_n into_o despair_n ay_o but_o you_o can_v tell_v they_o that_o whosoever_o believe_v shall_v be_v save_v ay_o and_o so_o can_v other_o tell_v they_o as_o well_o as_o you_o though_o they_o hold_v election_n and_o that_o christ_n die_v only_o for_o the_o elect_a for_o if_o god_n give_v faith_n that_o be_v a_o certain_a sign_n of_o election_n and_o that_o christ_n die_v for_o that_o person_n well_o now_o let_v we_o see_v what_o those_o that_o hold_v election_n and_o that_o christ_n die_v only_o for_o the_o elect_n can_v say_v in_o a_o ministerial_a and_o doctrinal_a way_n to_o keep_v a_o convince_v humble_a sinner_n from_o despair_n of_o mercy_n i_o say_v in_o a_o ministerial_a doctrinal_a way_n for_o it_o be_v god_n alone_o that_o can_v do_v it_o inward_o and_o effectual_o now_o therefore_o our_o doctrine_n can_v say_v to_o such_o a_o convince_a humble_a sinner_n that_o be_v ready_a to_o despair_v god_n have_v from_o eternity_n decree_v of_o his_o mere_a grace_n in_o christ_n to_o give_v grace_n and_o glory_n to_o certain_a person_n and_o some_o of_o these_o person_n that_o god_n intend_v to_o make_v everlasting_a monument_n of_o his_o free_a grace_n be_v not_o only_o by_o nature_n child_n of_o wrath_n as_o well_o as_o other_o but_o in_o time_n be_v monster_n in_o respect_n of_o actual_a sin_n as_o manasseh_n the_o thief_n upon_o the_o cross_n and_o paul_n for_o persecute_v the_o church_n of_o god_n but_o be_v elect_v to_o life_n and_o christ_n die_v for_o they_o they_o be_v convert_v and_o save_v and_o who_o know_v but_o that_o you_o be_v of_o that_o number_n there_o be_v a_o may_v be_v that_o you_o be_v a_o object_n of_o this_o special_a grace_n and_o it_o be_v certain_a if_o that_o you_o be_v convince_v of_o sin_n do_v venture_n and_o trust_v in_o god_n free_a mercy_n in_o christ_n you_o shall_v be_v save_v all_o that_o the_o father_n give_v unto_o christ_n to_o redeem_v and_o save_v shall_v come_v to_o he_o and_o he_o that_o come_v unto_o he_o he_o will_v in_o no_o wise_a cast_v out_o and_o if_o the_o humble_a sinner_n say_v if_o i_o shall_v put_v my_o trust_n in_o christ_n the_o arminian_n tell_v i_o that_o i_o may_v be_v a_o child_n of_o god_n to_o day_n and_o a_o child_n of_o the_o devil_n to_o morrow_n therefore_o why_o shall_v i_o that_o know_v what_o a_o vile_a heart_n i_o have_v ever_o think_v of_o any_o hope_n of_o salvation_n but_o sink_v in_o utter_a despair_n our_o doctrine_n assure_v they_o if_o the_o lord_n be_v please_v once_o to_o unite_v they_o to_o christ_n by_o a_o true_a and_o lively_a faith_n the_o lord_n will_v give_v they_o from_o time_n to_o time_n such_o influence_n and_o supply_n of_o his_o spirit_n as_o that_o they_o shall_v be_v keep_v in_o the_o state_n of_o grace_n until_o they_o come_v to_o the_o state_n of_o glory_n therefore_o let_v all_o that_o be_v wise_a
