the_o spirit_n 2._o for_o answer_v we_o must_v distinguish_v between_o a_o man_n judge_v of_o those_o qualification_n in_o himself_o and_o his_o judge_n of_o another_o in_o who_o these_o qualification_n appear_v to_o be_v for_o a_o man_n judge_v of_o himself_o may_v attain_v to_o a_o clear_a and_o certain_a discern_v of_o save_a grace_n in_o himself_o as_o the_o apostle_n give_v we_o to_o understand_v 1_o cor._n 2_o 11_o 12._o in_o which_o case_n of_o our_o judge_n of_o ourselves_o this_o much_o may_v be_v say_v that_o if_o a_o man_n find_v in_o himself_o those_o qualification_n join_v with_o faith_n in_o christ_n for_o righteousness_n and_o eternal_a life_n and_o be_v seek_v furniture_n from_o christ_n to_o bring_v forth_o fruit_n of_o his_o faith_n in_o new_a obedience_n he_o may_v be_v quiet_a and_o be_v out_o of_o doubt_n of_o save_a grace_n in_o himself_o for_o unto_o such_o a_o person_n the_o description_n of_o a_o true_a convert_n may_v safe_o be_v apply_v phil._n 3._o 3_o we_o be_v the_o circumcision_n etc._n etc._n and_o pre-suppose_a he_o have_v observe_v these_o qualification_n in_o himself_o before_o he_o have_v observe_v his_o close_n with_o christ_n or_o his_o application_n of_o the_o offer_n of_o reconciliation_n through_o he_o he_o neither_o need_v nor_o shall_v trouble_v himself_o or_o other_o with_o question_v whether_o such_o and_o such_o qualification_n in_o he_o before_o his_o fix_v on_o christ_n be_v the_o common_a or_o special_a operation_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n for_o see_v the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n come_v not_o with_o observation_n always_o it_o be_v hard_o to_o determine_v of_o the_o first_o beginning_n of_o the_o work_n of_o save_a grace_n by_o the_o holy_a spirit_n because_o save_v faith_n have_v in_o it_o the_o substance_n of_o historical_a dogmatical_a and_o temporary_a faith_n and_o therefore_o when_o both_o save_a faith_n and_o historical_a dogmatical_a and_o temporary_a faith_n may_v produce_v belief_n of_o the_o law_n and_o convince_v the_o man_n of_o sin_n and_o wrath_n due_a for_o sin_n and_o produce_v the_o belief_n of_o the_o gospel_n also_o without_o application_n of_o the_o offer_n of_o reconciliation_n how_o shall_v a_o man_n determine_v whether_o these_o effect_n be_v produce_v by_o virtue_n of_o dogmatical_a and_o temporary_a faith_n or_o by_o virtue_n of_o save_a faith_n until_o the_o time_n that_o the_o humble_a sinner_n fly_v in_o unto_o christ_n and_o seek_v to_o draw_v furniture_n from_o he_o for_o new_a obedience_n of_o the_o law_n of_o love_n towards_o god_n
