mercy_n for_o a_o man_n to_o live_v in_o his_o own_o house_n and_o enjoy_v the_o benefit_n and_o privilege_n thereof_o but_o if_o that_o house_n be_v like_a to_o fall_v upon_o his_o head_n it_o be_v his_o mercy_n to_o be_v force_v out_o of_o it_o whether_o he_o will_v or_o not_o so_o lot_n will_v willing_o have_v stay_v in_o sodom_n for_o the_o text_n say_v he_o linger_v but_o god_n be_v merciful_a unto_o he_o force_v he_o out_o so_o the_o jew_n will_v have_v stay_v long_o in_o the_o old_a covenant_n but_o god_n be_v merciful_a unto_o they_o take_v away_o all_o their_o privilege_n and_o conclude_v they_o all_o under_o sin_n and_o make_v they_o all_o as_o well_o as_o gentile_n guilty_a before_o god_n that_o he_o may_v have_v mercy_n upon_o all_o poed_n but_o if_o circumcision_n so_o than_o it_o be_v a_o great_a mistake_n to_o think_v that_o all_o israel_n and_o their_o seed_n be_v break_v off_o from_o the_o gospel_n covenant_n and_o the_o gentile_n and_o their_o seed_n come_v in_o their_o room_n and_o so_o their_o child_n to_o enjoy_v church_n privilege_n as_o membership_n and_o baptism_n for_o the_o jew_n that_o be_v the_o whole_a lump_n of_o abraham_n seed_n be_v not_o break_v off_o from_o the_o gospel_n covenant_n but_o some_o only_a that_o abide_v in_o unbelief_n but_o for_o other_o of_o they_o that_o do_v believe_v they_o have_v still_o as_o great_a a_o privilege_n and_o as_o much_o a_o right_n to_o gospel_n ordinance_n as_o any_o believe_a gentile_n in_o the_o world_n it_o be_v true_a they_o be_v all_o break_a off_o from_o the_o old_a covenant_n that_o can_v not_o give_v life_n that_o make_v nothing_o perfect_a which_o as_o you_o have_v hear_v be_v their_o mercy_n rather_o than_o misery_n if_o they_o can_v believe_v it_o poed_n but_o i_o think_v believer_n child_n shall_v have_v some_o privilege_n above_o the_o child_n of_o heathen_n or_o else_o they_o will_v lose_v some_o privilege_n by_o the_o come_n of_o chrr_v and_o the_o gospel_n dispensation_n will_v be_v less_o than_o that_o of_o the_o law_n bap._n to_o which_o i_o answer_v 1._o that_o it_o must_v be_v prove_v that_o baptism_n be_v any_o privilege_n at_o all_o to_o infant_n for_o we_o must_v understand_v that_o ordinance_n be_v the_o hard_a part_n of_o the_o covenant_n and_o so_o rather_o a_o burden_n then_o a_o privilege_n without_o faith_n they_o be_v part_n of_o to_o the_o flesh_n both_o in_o respect_n to_o the_o performance_n of_o they_o and_o the_o consequence_n of_o they_o yea_o rather_o a_o burden_n and_o a_o yoke_n then_o a_o mercy_n and_o a_o privilege_n where_o there_o be_v no_o faith_n to_o make_v they_o easy_a but_o 2_o if_o circumcision_n be_v a_o privilege_n though_o the_o apostle_n call_v it_o a_o yoke_n it_o must_v be_v consider_v whether_o our_o infant_n be_v capable_a of_o such_o privilege_n by_o baptism_n as_o they_o be_v by_o circumcision_n for_o 1._o circumcision_n do_v assure_v they_o that_o christ_n shall_v be_v bear_v salvation_n then_o what_o shall_v become_v of_o the_o child_n of_o unbeliever_n yea_o of_o such_o who_o you_o count_v unbeliever_n may_v not_o they_o make_v this_o appeal_n to_o their_o parent_n and_o say_v o_o wretched_a and_o miserable_a parent_n that_o have_v bring_v forth_o so_o deplorable_a a_o off_o spring_n other_o child_n as_o soon_o as_o they_o be_v bear_v be_v in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o by_o virtue_n of_o their_o parent_n faith_n have_v aright_o to_o church_n membership_n and_o baptism_n wherein_o they_o be_v make_v child_n of_o god_n heir_n of_o christ_n and_o inheritor_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n but_o woe_n and_o alas_o to_o we_o that_o ever_o we_o be_v bear_v of_o unbelieving_a parent_n or_o at_o least_o of_o such_o that_o be_v never_o
