provide_v for_o their_o own_o safety_n doubtless_o the_o same_o report_n that_o bring_v the_o other_o canaanite_n the_o news_n of_o the_o destruction_n of_o jericho_n do_v also_o acquaint_v they_o how_o it_o be_v take_v and_o tell_v they_o the_o miraculous_a fall_n of_o their_o wall_n and_o fortress_n and_o yet_o they_o resolve_v to_o fight_v against_o they_o which_o be_v no_o other_o than_o a_o resolve_v to_o fight_v against_o god_n which_o show_v that_o god_n have_v harden_v their_o heart_n to_o their_o deserve_a ruin_n on_o the_o other_o side_n the_o gibeonite_n though_o they_o have_v as_o much_o reason_n because_o of_o the_o greatness_n of_o their_o city_n to_o trust_v in_o their_o strength_n as_o any_o people_n of_o the_o land_n have_v yet_o when_o they_o hear_v what_o be_v do_v to_o jericho_n and_o ai_fw-fr they_o conclude_v that_o there_o be_v no_o resist_v such_o a_o people_n and_o therefore_o determine_v to_o try_v if_o they_o can_v make_v peace_n with_o they_o and_o year_n and_o only_o send_v out_o party_n from_o thence_o against_o the_o inhabitant_n in_o several_a part_n as_o occasion_n be_v offer_v as_o for_o the_o plea_n they_o use_v to_o move_v the_o be_v such_o a_o difference_n betwixt_o these_o two_o the_o worship_v the_o lord_n that_o have_v deliver_v they_o out_o of_o egypt_n and_o do_v so_o many_o great_a thing_n for_o they_o and_o bow_v to_o idol-god_n that_o one_o will_v not_o think_v it_o possible_a that_o they_o shall_v forsake_v the_o lord_n to_o follow_v they_o though_o it_o shall_v be_v leave_v to_o their_o choice_n as_o if_o one_o constant_o unto_o he_o but_o as_o for_o i_o and_o my_o house_n we_o will_v serve_v the_o lord_n this_o joshua_n add_v not_o so_o much_o to_o make_v know_v to_o they_o what_o he_o be_v resolve_v to_o do_v to_o wit_n that_o though_o they_o shall_v all_o forsake_v the_o lord_n yet_o that_o shall_v not_o one_o whit_n move_v he_o but_o principal_o that_o his_o resolute_a determination_n herein_o of_o you_o say_v god_n will_v not_o be_v content_a with_o a_o profession_n of_o be_v his_o people_n if_o you_o take_v liberty_n to_o live_v as_o you_o listen_v as_o you_o have_v do_v no_o god_n be_v a_o herein_o be_v that_o pprophecy_n fulfil_v that_o ephraim_n shall_v be_v great_a than_o manasseh_n gen._n 48.19_o now_o of_o this_o man_n it_o be_v say_v that_o he_o lift_v up_o his_o hand_n against_o the_o king_n to_o wit_n by_o revolt_a from_o he_o and_o become_v the_o head_n of_o the_o ten_o tribe_n in_o rend_v the_o kingdom_n from_o his_o son_n for_o though_o perhaps_o after_o he_o have_v hear_v the_o pprophecy_n of_o ahijah_n he_o may_v entertain_v thought_n of_o disloyalty_n against_o his_o sovereign_n and_o perhaps_o secret_o sow_v some_o seed_n of_o sedition_n among_o the_o day_n of_o that_o month_n vers_fw-la 13._o and_o hereupon_o though_o the_o decree_n he_o obtain_v from_o the_o king_n for_o the_o massacre_n of_o the_o jew_n be_v seal_v on_o the_o thirteen_o day_n be_v destroy_v and_o i_o will_v pay_v ten_o thousand_o talent_n of_o silver_n etc._n etc._n that_o be_v whereas_o it_o may_v be_v think_v that_o the_o cut_n off_o this_o people_n may_v be_v a_o by_o haman_n etc._n etc._n esther_n wise_o will_v not_o take_v any_o notice_n of_o the_o king_n consent_v to_o this_o bloody_a decree_n lest_o she_o shall_v seem_v to_o cast_v the_o least_o blame_n upon_o he_o and_o withal_o she_o know_v well_o that_o a_o decree_n establish_v by_o the_o king_n by_o the_o law_n of_o the_o persian_n may_v not_o be_v reverse_v dan._n 6._o 15._o the_o law_n of_o the_o mede_n and_o persian_n be_v that_o no_o decree_n nor_o statute_n which_o the_o king_n establish_v may_v be_v change_v and_o therefore_o to_o give_v he_o a_o hint_n to_o reverse_v it_o as_o a_o the_o jew_n as_o it_o like_v you_o in_o the_o king_n name_n and_o seal_v it_o with_o the_o king_n ring_n etc._n etc._n it_o seem_v the_o king_n will_v not_o pretend_v that_o the_o former_a letter_n be_v devise_v by_o haman_n without_o this_o direction_n because_o he_o know_v to_o the_o contrary_a nor_o can_v yield_v to_o the_o reverse_v of_o the_o former_a decree_n which_o be_v against_o the_o withstand_v they_o for_o the_o fear_n of_o they_o fall_v upon_o all_o people_n hereby_o it_o appear_v that_o on_o the_o thirteen_o day_n of_o the_o twelve_o month_n the_o enemy_n of_o the_o jew_n in_o several_a place_n yea_o even_o in_o the_o city_n of_o shushan_n itself_o where_o ahasuerus_n live_v vers_n 6._o take_v up_o arm_n and_o go_v about_o to_o massacre_v the_o jew_n according_a to_o the_o sentence_n of_o the_o first_o decree_n chap._n 3.13_o notwithstanding_o the_o second_o decree_n that_o be_v send_v out_o after_o it_o chap._n 8.10_o 11._o wherein_o the_o jew_n be_v allow_v to_o
