a_o carnal_a mortal_a and_o frail_a priest_n that_o after_o a_o little_a time_n shall_v need_v a_o successor_n but_o a_o most_o potent_a priest_n that_o have_v a_o absolute_a power_n a_o eternal_a priest_n that_o have_v a_o endless_a life_n for_o to_o this_o sense_n that_o which_o follow_v do_v excellent_o agree_v 17._o for_o he_o testify_v thou_o be_v a_o priest_n for_o ever_o after_o the_o order_n of_o melchisedec_n q.d._n therefore_o i_o say_v that_o the_o priest_n after_o the_o order_n of_o melchisedec_n be_v a_o eternal_a priest_n because_o god_n open_o testify_v it_o when_o he_o be_v establish_v upon_o better_a promise_n but_o not_o without_o the_o priesthood_n of_o christ_n which_o do_v not_o only_o confirm_v and_o establish_v the_o promise_n of_o the_o covenant_n but_o do_v also_o perfect_a and_o perform_v they_o for_o the_o perfect_a remission_n of_o our_o sin_n depend_v upon_o christ_n priesthood_n and_o therefore_o the_o priesthood_n of_o christ_n speak_v of_o in_o this_o place_n must_v here_o be_v join_v with_o the_o new_a covenant_n as_o also_o the_o old_a priesthood_n and_o sacrifice_n must_v be_v join_v with_o the_o law_n therefore_o the_o superinduction_n or_o bring_v in_o of_o a_o better_a hope_n that_o be_v the_o new_a covenant_n contain_v the_o priesthood_n of_o christ_n which_o give_v we_o a_o assure_a hope_n of_o eternal_a life_n and_o of_o perfect_a forgiveness_n of_o all_o our_o sin_n do_v most_o perfect_o expiate_v man_n and_o purge_v they_o from_o all_o guilt_n of_o all_o sin_n by_o the_o which_o we_o draw_v nigh_o unto_o god_n by_o serve_v he_o with_o all_o our_o heart_n and_o obey_v he_o in_o all_o thing_n command_v we_o for_o he_o that_o have_v this_o hope_n in_o god_n purify_v himself_o even_o as_o he_o be_v pure_a 1_o john_n 3.3_o and_o because_o we_o approach_v unto_o god_n therefore_o reciprocal_o god_n also_o approach_v and_o draw_v nigh_o unto_o we_o i_o do_v embrace_v we_o with_o a_o strict_a bond_n of_o will_v have_v to_o be_v firm_a strong_a and_o unchangeable_a must_v needs_o be_v better_a than_o those_o thing_n which_o have_v not_o that_o firmity_n and_o strength_n such_o as_o be_v the_o thing_n whereto_o no_o oath_n be_v add_v but_o god_n will_v have_v they_o to_o depend_v upon_o his_o will_n and_o pleasure_n that_o he_o may_v either_o remove_v or_o retain_v they_o as_o it_o shall_v seem_v
