their_o first_o meeting_n and_o take_v their_o oath_n for_o the_o faithful_a discharge_n of_o their_o duty_n and_o then_o the_o next_o in_o commission_n shall_v take_v his_o oath_n and_o that_o thereafter_o they_o meet_v at_o such_o time_n and_o place_n as_o they_o shall_v think_v fit_a that_o they_o shall_v have_v power_n to_o conveen_v all_o person_n interest_v within_o the_o bound_n of_o the_o presbytery_n before_o they_o to_o take_v the_o oath_n of_o party_n and_o to_o examine_v witness_n upon_o oath_n when_o they_o shall_v see_v it_o needful_a and_o that_o all_o officer_n and_o be_v liable_a to_o the_o payment_n of_o any_o part_n of_o the_o say_a levy_n but_o upon_o decreet_a of_o the_o commissioner_n aforesaid_a &_o that_o the_o heritor_n in_o the_o interim_n put_v forth_o the_o levy_n it_o be_v always_o understand_v that_o where_o rentaller_n be_v already_o value_v distinct_a from_o the_o heritor_n by_o the_o comissionere_n appoint_v for_o the_o valuation_n of_o the_o shire_n that_o they_o shall_v pay_v conform_a to_o their_o valuation_n iii_o that_o in_o the_o levy_n of_o foot_n the_o master_n shall_v find_v arm_n and_o pay_v the_o advance_v or_o loan_n money_n and_o that_o the_o tenant_n shall_v only_o find_v a_o sufficient_a man_n and_o shall_v give_v unto_o he_o that_o shall_v go_v forth_o the_o sum_n appoint_v by_o act_n of_o parliament_n to_o be_v give_v by_o tenant_n unless_o they_o be_v rentaller_n or_o other_o before_o mention_v in_o which_o case_n the_o say_a commissioner_n shall_v determine_v as_o aforesaid_a what_o shall_v be_v their_o proportion_n iv_o that_o no_o master_n shall_v for_o benefit_n spleen_n or_o private_a revenge_n put_v forth_o any_o tenant_n of_o senyant_n in_o levy_n but_o that_o where_o there_o be_v any_o such_o complaint_n the_o commissioner_n aforesaid_a shall_v judge_v of_o the_o fitness_n of_o the_o person_n v_o that_o the_o monethlie_a maintenance_n shall_v only_o be_v pay_v by_o the_o master_n and_o the_o tenant_n to_o be_v free_a unless_o they_o be_v rentaller_n or_o other_o as_o aforesaid_a in_o which_o case_n the_o commissioner_n be_v to_o determine_v their_o proportion_n as_o be_v before_o express_v vi_o that_o all_o quartering_n whether_o local_a or_o transeunt_fw-la shall_v be_v allow_v in_o payment_n of_o the_o monthly_a maintenance_n in_o manner_n follow_v viz._n that_o the_o master_n or_o such_o as_o have_v power_n from_o the_o master_n to_o do_v his_o affair_n shall_v deliver_v to_o the_o collector_n a_o certificate_n subscribe_v by_o two_o of_o the_o commissioner_n aforesaid_a that_o he_o have_v allow_v to_o his_o tenant_n the_o say_v quartering_n which_o be_v also_o to_o be_v instruct_v according_a to_o the_o act_n of_o parliament_n in_o their_o maill_n or_o yearly_a rent_n and_o duty_n and_o give_v they_o discharge_v for_o the_o same_o before_o he_o get_v allowance_n of_o the_o quartering_n in_o payment_n of_o the_o monthly_a maintenance_n &_o that_o the_o collector_n deliver_v the_o say_a certificate_n to_o the_o general_n commissary_n or_o in_o case_n the_o master_n refuse_v to_o give_v the_o say_a certificate_n to_o the_o collector_n that_o then_o the_o collector_n bring_v two_o of_o the_o commissioner_n certificate_n of_o the_o master_n his_o refusal_n and_o if_o the_o collector_n shall_v fail_v herein_o that_o then_o he_o make_v account_n to_o the_o general_n commissarie_n for_o the_o whole_a monthly_a maintenance_n without_o any_o deduction_n for_o quartering_n and_o that_o the_o commissioner_n take_v care_n that_o the_o mastere_n so_o refuss_v do_v allow_v the_o say_a quartering_n to_o the_o tenant_n in_o their_o maill_n and_o duty_n vii_o and_o because_o quartering_n upon_o particular_a person_n may_v exceed_v their_o proportion_n of_o the_o monthly_a maintenance_n it_o be_v therefore_o statute_n and_o ordain_v that_o the_o collector_n of_o every_o shire_n shall_v make_v payment_n to_o all_o such_o person_n as_o shall_v be_v so_o overburden_v with_o quartering_n out_o of_o the_o monthly_a maintenance_n of_o the_o shire_n at_o the_o direction_n of_o the_o committee_n of_o war_n and_o if_o the_o whole_a monthly_a maintenance_n of_o any_o shire_n shall_v be_v exhaust_v that_o then_o the_o general_a commissary_n shall_v make_v payment_n to_o they_o for_o the_o say_a quartering_n out_o of_o the_o monthly_a maintenance_n of_o other_o shire_n who_o maintenance_n be_v not_o exhaust_v by_o quartering_n and_o in_o case_n any_o master_n shall_v thrall_v his_o tenant_n and_o force_v they_o to_o lay_v public_a viii_o that_o where_o tenant_n have_v not_o concur_v in_o james_n graham_n rebellion_n or_o be_v accessory_a to_o the_o late_a unlawful_a engagement_n against_o england_n or_o the_o late_a rebellion_n in_o the_o north_n but_o have_v suffer_v therein_o effectual_a course_n be_v take_v for_o their_o ease_n and_o relief_n that_o it_o be_v not_o in_o their_o master_n power_n to_o oppress_v
