particular_o and_o distinct_o the_o person_n so_o complain_v and_o other_o his_o neighbour_n by_o their_o discretion_n of_o every_o his_o land_n and_o tenement_n above_o specify_v and_o of_o every_o his_o good_n cattle_n and_o debt_n above_o mention_v and_o after_o due_a examination_n and_o perfect_a knowledge_n thereof_o have_v and_o perceive_v by_o the_o say_a commissioner_n which_o shall_v have_v power_n by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a the_o say_v commissioner_n or_o two_o of_o they_o to_o who_o any_o such_o complaint_n shall_v be_v make_v by_o their_o discretion_n upon_o the_o or_o other_o lawful_a way_n or_o mean_n within_o a_o year_n after_o any_o such_o oath_n make_v that_o the_o same_o person_n so_o tax_v &_o swear_v be_v of_o any_o better_a or_o great_a value_n in_o commissioner_n shall_v indifferent_o set_v tax_v and_o assess_v themselves_o and_o the_o say_a assessor_n and_o that_o aswell_o the_o sum_n upon_o every_o of_o the_o say_a commissioner_n and_o assessor_n so_o sess_z rate_v and_o tax_v as_o the_o sum_n make_v and_o present_v by_o the_o presenter_n swear_v as_o be_v abovesaid_a shall_v be_v write_v certify_v set_v and_o estreat_v and_o the_o estreate_v thereof_o to_o be_v make_v with_o other_o the_o inhabitant_n of_o that_o party_n within_o the_o limit_n of_o the_o same_o commission_n and_o division_n so_o to_o be_v gather_v and_o levy_v in_o like_a manner_n as_o it_o ought_v or_o shall_v have_v be_v if_o the_o say_a commissioner_n have_v not_o be_v in_o the_o say_a commission_n and_o that_o all_o person_n of_o the_o estate_n of_o a_o baron_n or_o baron_n and_o every_o estate_n above_o shall_v be_v charge_v with_o their_o free_a hold_n and_o value_n as_o be_v abovesaid_a by_o the_o chancellor_n or_o keeper_n of_o the_o great_a seal_n treasurer_n of_o england_n lord_n precedent_n of_o the_o queen_n majesty_n privy_a counsel_n &_o lord_n privy_a seal_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o other_o person_n by_o the_o queen_n majesty_n authority_n to_o be_v limit_v &_o they_o to_o be_v charge_v for_o the_o say_v several_a payment_n of_o the_o say_a subsidy_n after_o the_o form_n of_o the_o say_v grant_v accord_v to_o the_o taxation_n aforesaid_a and_o the_o sum_n upon_o they_o set_v with_o the_o name_n of_o the_o colloctour_n appoint_v for_o the_o gather_n &_o pay_v of_o the_o same_o to_o be_v estreat_v deliver_v and_o certify_v at_o day_n and_o place_n above_o specify_v by_o the_o lord_n chancellor_n or_o keeper_n of_o the_o great_a seal_n treasurer_n lord_n precedent_n of_o the_o counsel_n &_o lord_n privy_a seal_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o such_o other_o person_n as_o shall_v be_v limit_v by_o the_o queen_n majesty_n and_o after_o the_o tax_n and_o assess_v of_o the_o say_a sum_n upon_o and_o the_o say_v assess_v and_o certificate_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a make_v the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o as_o many_o of_o they_o as_o shall_v be_v thereunto_o appoint_v by_o the_o queen_n majesty_n commission_n shall_v with_o all_o speed_n and_o without_o delay_n by_o the_o writing_n estreat_v of_o the_o say_v tax_v thereof_o under_o the_o seal_n and_o sign_n manuel_n of_o the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o as_o may_v of_o they_o as_o shall_v be_v appoint_v at_o the_o jest_n to_o be_v make_v shall_v be_v deliver_v unto_o sufficient_a and_o substantial_a inhabitant_n constable_n subconstable_n bailiff_n and_o other_o officer_n joint_o of_o hundred_o town_n parish_n and_o other_o place_n aforesaid_a within_o their_o limit_n or_o to_o other_o sufficient_a person_n inhabitant_n of_o the_o same_o only_a by_o the_o discretion_n of_o the_o say_a commissioner_n and_o as_o the_o place_n and_o party_n shall_v require_v aswell_o the_o particular_a name_n &_o surname_n as_o the_o remembrance_n of_o all_o sum_n of_o money_n tax_v and_o set_v of_o and_o upon_o every_o person_n aswell_o man_n as_o woman_n chargeable_a to_o this_o act_n householder_n and_o all_o other_o inhabitant_n and_o dweller_n within_o the_o say_a parish_n town_n and_o place_n contributory_a to_o this_o act_n of_o subsidy_n by_o authority_n of_o which_o writing_n or_o estreat_v so_o deliver_v the_o say_a officer_n and_o other_o person_n so_o name_v and_o depute_v several_o shall_v have_v full_a power_n and_o authority_n by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n immediate_o after_o the_o delivery_n of_o the_o say_a writing_n or_o estreat_n to_o demand_v levy_v and_o gather_v of_o every_o person_n therein_o specify_v the_o sum_n or_o sum_n in_o the_o same_o write_n or_o estreate_v comprise_v and_o for_o none_o payment_n thereof_o to_o distrain_v the_o same_o person_n or_o person_n so_o be_v behind_o by_o their_o good_n
and_o cattle_n and_o the_o distress_n so_o take_v to_o keep_v by_o the_o space_n of_o viii_o day_n at_o the_o cost_n and_o charge_n of_o the_o owner_n thereof_o and_o if_o the_o say_a owner_n do_v not_o pay_v such_o sum_n of_o money_n as_o shall_v be_v tax_v by_o this_o act_n within_o the_o same_o viij_o day_n than_o the_o same_o distress_n to_o be_v apprayse_v by_o iiii.iii_fw-la or_o ii_o of_o the_o inhabitant_n where_o such_o distress_n be_v take_v and_o also_o to_o be_v sell_v by_o the_o say_a constable_n or_o other_o collector_n for_o the_o payment_n of_o the_o say_a money_n and_o the_o overplus_n come_n of_o the_o sale_n and_o keep_v thereof_o if_o any_o be_v to_o be_v immediate_o restore_v to_o the_o owner_n of_o the_o same_o distress_n which_o say_v officer_n and_o other_o person_n so_o depute_v to_o ask_v take_v gather_v and_o levy_n the_o say_a sum_n shall_v answer_v and_o be_v charge_v for_o the_o portion_n only_o to_o they_o assign_v or_o limit_v to_o be_v gather_v levy_a and_o comprise_v in_o the_o say_a writing_n or_o estreate_v so_o to_o they_o as_o be_v aforesaid_a deliver_v to_o the_o use_n of_o our_o sovereign_a lady_n the_o queen_n majesty_n her_o heir_n &_o successor_n and_o the_o say_a sum_n in_o that_o write_n or_o estreat_v comprise_v to_o pay_v unto_o the_o high_a collector_n or_o collector_n of_o that_o place_n for_o the_o collection_n of_o and_o albeit_o person_n which_o then_o shall_v have_v and_o possede_v land_n &_o other_o hereditament_n in_o their_o own_o right_a of_o the_o yearly_a value_n of_o xx.li_fw-la or_o good_n to_o the_o value_n of_o cc._o mark_n at_o the_o jest_n and_o the_o person_n several_o be_v the_o discretion_n of_o the_o same_o commissioner_n in_o shire_n ridings_n lath_n wapentake_n rape_n city_n town_n corporat_fw-la &_o other_o whatsoever_o place_n aswell_o within_o place_n privilege_v as_o without_o not_o be_v foreprise_v within_o this_o act_n to_o be_v high_a collector_n and_o have_v the_o collection_n &_o receipt_n of_o the_o say_a sum_n set_v and_o leviable_a within_o the_o precinct_n limit_n &_o bond_n where_o they_o shall_v be_v so_o limit_v to_o gather_v &_o receive_v to_o every_o of_o the_o which_o collector_n so_o several_o name_v the_o say_a commissioner_n or_o ii_o of_o they_o at_o least_o shall_v with_o all_o speed_n &_o without_o delay_n after_o the_o say_v whole_a sum_n of_o the_o say_a subsidy_n be_v set_v by_o all_o the_o limit_n of_o the_o same_o their_o commission_n or_o in_o such_o limit_n as_o the_o high_a collector_n shall_v be_v so_o several_o assign_v shall_v under_o their_o seal_n and_o sign_n manuel_n deliver_v one_o estreat_v indent_v in_o parchment_n to_o every_o of_o the_o say_v high_a collector_n compryse_v in_o it_o the_o name_n of_o all_o such_o person_n as_o be_v assign_v to_o levy_v the_o say_v particular_a sum_n &_o the_o sum_n of_o every_o hundred_o wapentake_n town_n or_o other_o place_n aforesaid_a with_o the_o name_n and_o surname_n of_o the_o person_n so_o chargeable_a according_a to_o the_o estreat_n so_o first_o thereof_o make_v as_o be_v aforesaid_a and_o deliver_v and_o the_o collector_n so_o to_o be_v assign_v shall_v be_v charge_v to_o answer_v the_o whole_a sum_n comprise_v in_o the_o say_a estreate_n limit_v to_o his_o collection_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o say_v commissioner_n have_v authority_n by_o this_o act_n to_o name_n and_o nominate_v the_o say_a high_a collector_n of_o the_o say_a subsidy_n shall_v immediate_o upon_o the_o nomination_n &_o election_n take_v by_o authority_n of_o this_o present_a parliament_n sufficient_a recognisance_n or_o obligation_n without_o any_o fee_n or_o reward_n to_o be_v pay_v therefore_o of_o every_o person_n so_o by_o they_o to_o be_v name_v to_o be_v high_a collector_n to_o be_v bind_v to_o the_o queen_n majesty_n in_o the_o double_a sum_n of_o the_o sum_n of_o his_o collection_n &_o to_o be_v endorse_v and_o make_v upon_o such_o condition_n that_o be_v to_o say_v for_o the_o collection_n of_o the_o say_v first_o payment_n of_o the_o say_v subsidy_n that_o if_o the_o say_a collector_n his_o heir_n or_o executor_n do_v true_o content_v &_o pay_v to_o those_o of_o the_o queen_n majesty_n her_o heir_n or_o executor_n in_o the_o receipt_n of_o the_o say_a exchequer_n before_o the_o say_v xxiiii_o day_n of_o june_n next_o come_v so_o much_o of_o the_o say_a sum_n of_o money_n allot_v &_o appoint_v to_o his_o collection_n as_o he_o shall_v collect_v &_o gather_v and_o content_a and_o pay_v the_o residue_n of_o his_o collection_n &_o charge_n within_o one_o month_n next_o after_o such_o time_n as_o he_o have_v gather_v and_o collect_v the_o same_o residue_n that_o then_o the_o say_a recognisance_n or_o obligation_n to_o be_v void_a or_o else_o to_o stand_v in_o full_a strength_n and_o virtue_n and_o for_o the_o collection_n of_o the_o second_o payment_n of_o the_o say_a subsidy_n upon_o condition_n that_o if_o the_o say_a collector_n his_o heir_n or_o executour_n do_v true_o content_v and_o pay_v to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o queen_n majesty_n her_o heir_n or_o executour_n in_o her_o receipt_n of_o the_o exchequer_n before_o the_o first_o day_n of_o march_n which_o shall_v be_v in_o the_o year_n of_o our_o lord_n god_n m.d.lix_o so_o much_o of_o the_o say_a sum_n of_o money_n allot_v and_o appoint_v to_o his_o collection_n as_o he_o shall_v collect_v and_o gather_v and_o content_a and_o pay_v the_o residue_n of_o his_o collection_n and_o charge_n within_o one_o month_n next_o after_o such_o time_n as_o he_o have_v gather_v &_o collect_v the_o same_o residue_n that_o then_o the_o say_a recognisance_n or_o obligation_n to_o be_v void_a or_o else_o to_o stand_v in_o full_a strength_n and_o virtue_n which_o say_v several_a recognisance_n or_o obligation_n so_o take_v the_o say_a commissioner_n shall_v several_o certify_v and_o deliver_v into_o the_o queen_n majesty_n exchequer_n with_o the_o several_a certificate_n of_o the_o say_a taxation_n and_o rate_n of_o the_o payment_n of_o the_o say_a subsidy_n at_o and_o by_o the_o time_n to_o they_o prescribe_v and_o appoint_v by_o this_o act_n for_o the_o certificate_n of_o the_o say_v several_a taxation_n of_o the_o say_a subsidy_n upon_o pain_n of_o forfeiture_n of_o x.li_fw-la to_o the_o queen_n majesty_n for_o every_o recognisance_n or_o obligation_n not_o certify_v and_o that_o every_o such_o collector_n so_o elect_v name_v and_o say_a day_n and_o place_n so_o limit_v and_o prefix_v by_o the_o say_a collector_n the_o say_a constable_n officer_n or_o other_o person_n or_o inhabitant_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a for_o the_o say_v
