XXXVII FRet not thy self because of those that evill doers be Nor yet envious be at such as work iniquitie verse 2 For soon ev'n like unto the grasse cut down shall they be all And like unto the herbe that 's green they surely wither shall verse 3 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and carefullie do good And thou shalt dwell into the land well fed with needfull food verse 4 Delight thy self in God also and
he in every part Most lovingly best desires shall give thee of thy heart verse 5 In all affaires commit thy way unto the LORD thy King In him also trust thou alway who it to passe shall bring verse 6 And as the light thy righteousnes● he shall bring foorth alway And shal thy judgement clearly sh●● as bright as the noon-day verse 7 Rest in the LORD with confidenc● and without all debate In every thing most patiently see that for him thou wait Fret not thy self because of him that prospreth in his way Because of him that brings to passe devices ill alway verse 8 Cease from the rage of anger ho● and wrath forsake thou still Fret not thy self in any wise to do that which is ill verse 9 For those that evill doers be shall be cut off in all And they that wait upon the Lord the earth inherit shall verse 10 For yet a little while and loe the wicked shall not be Yea thou his place consider shalt and it thou shalt not see verse 11 But all the meek inherit shall the earth in every place And greatly shall delight themselves in th' abundance of peace verse 12 The wicked man against the just doth plot him for to kill And with his teeth most furiously he gnasheth on him still verse 13 The Lord shall surely scorn laugh at him in all his way For he in heaven doth clearely see that comming is his day verse 14 The wicked have drawn out their sword and bent their bow with might The poore and needy to cast down and to slay men upright verse 15 Their sword ev'n into their owne heart most quickly enter shall Their bones not able us to hurt shall al 's be broken all verse 16 A little that the righteous hath is surely better then The riches in abundance great of many wicked men verse 17 For of the wicked folk the arme shall ev'n be broken small But still the LORD in mercy great upholds the righteous all verse 18 The Lord most perfectly doth kne● the dayes of the upright And their inheritance shall be for ever in his sight verse 19 They shall not be ashamed in ev'll tymes of miserie And in the dayes of famine great they satisfied shall be verse 20 But wicked men shall perish and Gods foes as lambs fat all Shall be they shall consume to smo● consume away they shall verse 21 The wicked man doth borrow oft and not again doth pay But still the righteous mercy shewes and giveth much alway verse 22 For such as of him blessed be the earth inherit shall And they that cursed be of him shall be cut off in all verse 23 A good mans steps are by the I ev'n ordred well alway And he in loving kindnesse still delighteth in his way verse 24 And though he fall he utterly shall not in all the land Be too cast down for that the LORD upholds him with his hand verse 25 I have been young and now am old yet just men and their seed I have not thus forsaken seene as forc'd to beg their bread verse 26 He ever is most mercifull when he sees men in neede And also lendeth chearefully and blessed is his seede verse 27 Depart from ill with all thine he and good doe more and more And thus through Gods protection dwell thou for evermore verse 28 For well the Lord doth judgeme●● lo●● such as are saints indeed B●● still preserv'd but of ill men cut off shall be the seed verse 29 The righteous all that fear the Lo●● inherit shall together The pleasant land and joyfully shall dwell therein for ever verse 30 The mouth of him doth wisedo● spe●● that righteously doth walk His tongue also instructed still of judgement sound doth talk verse 31 The law of his most gracious Go● doth in his heart abide In whatsoever way he walks none of his steps doth slide verse 32 The wicked man the righteous 〈◊〉 doth watch both night and day And by all means he can devise he seeketh him to slay verse 33 The Lord will not him in his hand leave as some think amisse Nor yet for wicked him condemne even when he judged is verse 34 Wait on the Lord and keep his way and thee exalt shall he The land to have when wicked are cut off thou shalt it see verse 35 The wicked very great in power I have attentive scene And spreading forth himself at large like to a Lawrell greene verse 36 Yet he away did passe and lo he was not on his ground Yea I him sought most carfully but he could not be found verse 37 The perfect man mark and behold the upright for a space For after all his troubles past the end of him is peace verse 38 But the transgressours fearfully shall be destroy'd together The end of all the wicked men shall be cut off for ever verse 39 But the salvation of the just is of the LORD at length In time ev'n of their troubles grea● he is their onely strength verse 40 God shall help and deliver the from men that are unjust He shall deliver them and save because they in him trust PSAL. XCIV O LORD to whom vengeance for wrōgs belongs ev'n as most due O GOD to whom vengeance belongs thy self now clearly shew verse 2 Lift up thy self thou of the earth the great Judge to regard Deservedly unto the proud now render a reward verse 3 Most mighty LORD how long shall they that alwayes wicked be How long shall wicked men on earth triumph so gloriouslie verse 4 How long shal those men utter thus and speak hard things so free And all those proudly boast themselves that worke iniquitie verse 5 LORD they in pieces break thy folk and heritage distresse verse 6 They widow and the stranger slay and murder fatherlesse verse 7 Yet they say in their foolishnesse the Lord this shall not see Nor by the God of Jacob shall it once regarded be verse 8 Among the people understand ye brutish and likewise Ye fools that nothing can conceive O when will ye be wise verse 9 Shall he that planted hath the ear not heare how all things be He that also the eye hath form'd shall he himself not see verse 10 He that the heathen doth chastise shall he not chastise now He that man knowledge teacheth still shall he himself not know verse 11 The Lord the thoghts of mortal man doth know most certainlie That in their greatest worth they are nothing but vanitie verse 12 Blest is the man O Lord whom thou by chastning keeps in aw And also clearely teachest him out of thy holie law verse 13 That thou may give him rest from daye● of great adversitie Vntill that for the wicked man the pit deep digged be verse 14 For now the LORD his people a● will not cast off together Nor will hee his inheritance in wrath forsake for ever verse 15 But judgement unto righteousnesse returne most quicklie shall And those that be in heart upright shall it still follow all verse 16 Who up for me will rise against those that ill doers be Or who for me ' gainst those will stand that work iniquitie verse 17 Unlesse the Lord had been to mee a help as I have felt My soul with trouble vexed had almost in silence dwelt verse 18 When I said that my foot did slip thy mercy held me right verse 19 Thy comforts in my many thoughts do still my soul delight verse 20 Shall thus of great iniquitie the throne without all aw Have fellowship with thee Which frames mischief ev'n by a law verse 21 Themselves together gather they against the souls of men That righteous are and al 's the blood of innocent condemne verse 22 But yet the Lord still by his might is my defence alway And my GOD is the solid Rock of my refuge for ay verse 23 He on them their own sin shal bring and them cut off he shall In their own wickednesse our GOD shall cut them off in all PSAL. CV O Give ye thanks unto the Lord upon his Name now call Make clearly known his wōdrous deeds among the people all verse 2 Sing unto him most joyfully psalmes to him sing with speed Talk ye of all his works also which wondrous are indeed verse 3 In his most holy Name alwayes to glory now accord And let the heart of them rejoice that seek the living Lord. verse 4 Seek ye with care and diligence the Lord in ev'ry place And al 's his strength for evermore see that ye seek his face verse 5 The marv'lous workes that he hath done remember now indeed His wonders the judgements wh●● did from his mouth proceed verse 6 O ye who seed of Abraham his servants surely are Ye of Jacob his chosen one the children neer and farre verse 7 He surely is the mighty Lord ev'n our most loving God His judgements still most righteous ar● in all the earth abroad verse 8 His Cov'nant he remembred hath the word which fast to stand To thousand generations he wisely did command verse 9 Which cov'nant he most lovely made with his friend Abraham And unto Isa'c he also by oath made sure the same verse 10 And unto Jacob for a law the same he did confirme To Israel for a Covenant that 's everlasting firme verse 11 He said Canaans fertile land I will give unto thee Ev'n of your own inheritance the pleasant lot to be verse 12 When they thus but in number were a few distressed men Yea very few and yet this more but strangers in it then verse 13 When they from one strange nation thus another went unto And to another people al 's from one kingdome did go verse 14 He suffred in his mercy great no man to do them wrong Yea for their sakes he did reprove most mighty kings and strong verse 15 He said See that ye touch not those that mine anointed be Nor do the Prophets any harme that do belong to me verse 16 Moreover he call'd on the land for famine with great speed He also in his fury brake the staffe of all their bread verse 17 He in his mercy sent a man before them to uphold Joseph who by his brethren was even for a servant sold verse 18 Whose feet they hurt with fettes strong in yron he did ly verse 19 Untill the time that came his wor● the LORDS word did him try verse 20 The King then soon his servants 〈◊〉 and loosed him also He that the peoples ruler was most free then let him go verse 21 He made him then of all his house lord over great and small And ruler al 's appointed him even of his substance all verse 22 That he his Princes bind with 〈◊〉 at his good pleasure might And to his gravest Senatours should wisdom teach aright verse 23 Israel also in a strait then into Egypt came And Jacob with his sons sojour'nd ev'n in the land of Ham. verse 24 And he his people greatly did increase their foes among And more then all their enmies he did surely make them strong verse 25 Their heart he turned for to hate his people great and small Most subtilly alwayes to deal ev'n with his servants all verse 26 His faithfull servant Moses he unto them quickly sent And Aaron whom he chosen had together with him went verse 27 They frō the Lord did shew his signs among them where they came And wonders great not seen before in all the land of Ham. verse 28 He darknesse then among them sent and
dark he made it still And they did not at all rebell against his word and will verse 29 He turn'd their waters into blood their fish he slew in springs verse 30 The land foorth frogs in plēty broght in chambers of their Kings verse 31 He spake diverse sorts there came of flies as mighty hosts And by his finger lice he made to swarme in all their costs verse 32 He gave them hail for rain and fire their land in flames to make verse 33 He smote their vines figtrees of their coasts the trees he brake verse 34 He spake the word locusts thick came in a fearfull swarme With them were caterpillars al 's ev'n numberlesse to harme verse 35 And did eat up al 's all the herbs that in their land were found And greedilie devoured then the fruits of all their ground verse 36 He also in their wicked land smote in his wrath at length the first-born both of man and beast the chief of all their strength verse 37 With silver and with gold also he brought them foorth along And not a feeble person there was all their tribes among verse 38 When they departed Egypt was so glad as none can tell For of them then the dreadfull fear upon them heavy fell verse 39 He for a cov'ring spread a cloud and for to give them light He made a fire alwayes to shine most brightly in the night verse 40 The people asked and he then brought quails aboundantly And also with the bread of heav'n he did them satisfie verse 41 He opned al 's the flintie rock and waters gushed out They plenteous like a river ran in places dry about verse 42 For he his holy promise made did then remember well And Abraham who stedfast still his servant did excell verse 43 And he his people then with joy brought forth both young and old And likewise all his chosen folk with gladnesse manifold verse 44 And he them gave the fertile lands of heathen great and small The labour of the people they did then inherite all verse 45 That they his worthy statuts might observe with one accord And keep his laws given unto them praise ye alwayes the LORD PSAL. CVI. PRaise ye the LORD O now give thanks unto the Lord together For he is good for his mercy endureth fast for ever verse 2 Who of the LORD Omnipotent the mighty acts of worth Well utter can Who all his praise can to the full shew foorth verse 3 Blest are all they that judgement wel do keep in all their wayes And he that upright at all times doth righteousnesse alwayes verse 4 With favour such remember me as thou O LORD dost bear To thy people O visit me with thy salvation dear verse 5 That I thy chosen good may see in thy folks gladnesse glade That I with thine inheritance to glory may be made verse 6 We with our fathers sinned have we have iniquitie Committed by a sinfull life we have done wickedlie verse 7 The wonders great which thou did wor● O Lord in Egypt land Our fathers though they saw them all did not them understand Of thy great mercies multitude they well remembred never But at the sea ev'n the red sea they him provok'd together verse 8 Neverthelesse he by his might them sav'd who were his own For his names sake that he might make his mighty power known verse 9 He al 's the red sea did rebuke and it was then made dry Through deeps as through the wildernesse he led them by and by verse 10 He sav'd them from the hand of him that did them alwayes hate And them redeemed from the hand of th' enemie so great verse 11 The waters covred then their foes of them left was not one verse 12 Then they beleeved all his words they sang his praise anone verse 13 They soon by their unthankfulnes his glorious works forgot For his wise counsell foolishly at all they waited not verse 14 But in the barren wildernesse did lust exceedingly And in the desert GOD alwayes they tempted foolishly verse 15 And he to them al 's their request gave after their intent But wasting leannesse suddenly into their soul he sent verse 16 They also Moses in the camp did vex with great envy And Aaron though a Saint of God by them was not set by verse 17 Therefore the earth did open wide and Dathan speedily Did swallow up and covred al 's Abirams company verse 18 And also in their companie a kindled fire did fall The flam thereof then breaking forth burnt up the wicked all verse 19 A calf of gold in Horeb they made in their folly rare And worshipped most foolishly the molten image there verse 20 Thus they their glory shamefully chang'd as they did trespasse Into the liknesse of an ox that eats on earth the grasse verse 21 They God their Saviour then forg●● which by his mighty hand For their comfort alwayes had done great things in Egypt land verse 22 Most wondrous works within the land of Ham as all might see And things that were most terrible even hard by the red sea verse 23 Then said he He would them destroy had Moses in the way Not stood from them destroying all to turn his wrath away verse 24 Yea they despisde the pleasant land they not beleev'd his word verse 25 But in their tents they murmur'd still not hearkning to the Lord. verse 26 Therefore ' gainst them he lifted up his hand with great distresse To overthrow them every man in the waste wildernesse verse 27 And al 's among the Nations all to overthrow anone Their seed and likewise in the lands to scatter them each one verse 28 To Baal Peor also they did joine themselves with speed And ate the sacrifices that were offred to the dead verse 29 Thus they most foolishly with their inventions full of sin To anger him provok'd and so the plague on them brake in verse 30 Then Phineas full of zeal stood up and judgement he that day Did execute and so the LORD the fearfull plague did stay verse 31 And unto him for righteousnesse that counted was therefore Yea unto generations all and that for evermore verse 32 They at the waters al 's of strife sore did him angrie make So that it went exceeding all with Moses for their sake verse 33 Because they did his wounded sprit provoke presumptuously So that at last he with his lips spake unadvisedly verse 34 They also did not then destroy the Nations with their hand Concerning whom the Lord to them learn expresly gave command verse 35 But they the heathens workes did with whom they mingled were verse 36 And they their idols served al 's which were to them a snare verse 37 Yea which was more ev'n in a rage the cause of fearfull evils Their sons and daughters wickedly they sacrific'd to devils verse 38 And so they blood most innocent did shed without all fear Yea ev'n the blood of those that were
their sons and daughters dear Whom unto Cana'ns idols they did offer with their hand So with the blood of their own brood polluted was the land verse 39 Thus with their own most wicked works defiled all they were And with their own inventions went a whoring ev'ry where verse 40 For this against his people was the Lords wrath kindled sore So that his own inheritance he greatly did abhor verse 41 And he them gave into the hand of heathen void of grace And they that hated them did rule ov'r them in ev'ry place verse 42 Their enmies al 's despightfully oppressd them in the land And they unto subjection were brought underneath their hand verse 43 He many times delivred them but with their counsell slie They him provok'd and were broug●● 〈◊〉 for their iniquitie verse 44 Neverthelesse he mercifull in pity did regard Their great affliction in their grief when thus their cry he heard verse 45 And he remembred well also his Covnant for their good And did repent according to his mercies multitud verse 46 He also in his goodnesse great them to be piti'd made Of all those that them from their land then captives cari'd had verse 47 Save us O Lord our God and us out from the heathen raise To give thanks to thy holy Name and triumph in thy praise verse 48 To blesse the Lord God of Isra'l for evermore accord And al 's let all the people say Amen praise ye the LORD PSAL. CVII VNto the LORD most mercifull O give now thanks together For he is good for his mercy endureth fast for ever verse 2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so in all the land Whom safely he redeemed hath even from the enmies hand verse 3 And gathred them out of the lands wherein they were distrest From South and also from the North from East and from the West verse 4 They wandred in the wildernesse a solitarie way They found no city there at all wherein to dwell or stay verse 5 They hungry all and thirsty al 's were forced to lament Their soul in them in this distresse most fearfully did faint verse 6 Then in their trouble to the LOR● they fervently did cry And he them out of their distresse deliv'red by and by verse 7 And he in mercy led them foorth by the right way also That they of habitation good might to a city go verse 8 Oh that all men would praise the Lo●● for his great goodnesse then And for his works most wonderfull unto the sons of men For he in love the longing soul doth fully satisfie And filleth with his goodnesse great the souls that hungry be verse 10 Such as in darknesse sit and are ev'n in deaths shadow found Who being in affliction great and yron also bound verse 11 Because against the words of God they still rebelled then And the counsell of the most High they proudly did contemne verse 12 Therefore with labour speedily he then brought down their heart They fel down flat and there was none to help them in their smart verse 13 Then in their trouble to the LORD they fervently did cry And out of their distresses them he saved by and by verse 14 He out of darknesse and al 's of deaths shadow did them take And by his might he all their bands ev'n quite asunder brake verse 15 Oh that all men would praise the Lord for his great goodnes then And for his works most wonderfull unto the sons of men verse 16 For he the gates that were of brasse hath broken by a wonder And by his mighty arme hath cut the yron bars in sunder verse 17 Because of their transgression and their iniquitie Fools who do hate instruction oft sore afflicted be verse 18 Their weari'd soul alwayes abhor● all maner of meat that 's heer And they unto the gates of death by sicknesse still draw neer verse 19 Then in their trouble to the LOR● they fervently do cry He out of their distresses all them saveth by and by verse 20 He sent his word to them anone and heal'd them great and small And also he deliv'red them from their destructions all verse 21 Oh that all men would praise the Lord for his great goodnes then ●nd for his works most wonderfull unto the sons of men verse 22 To sacrifice the sacrifice of thanks let them not spare ●nd with rejoicing chearfully his wondrous works declare verse 23 Who to the sea go down in ships that trade in waters great verse 24 They see Gods works wonders al 's which in the depths he set verse 25 For he the stormy wind commands and raiseth by and by Which furiously the waves thereof lifts up unto the Sky verse 26 They mount up to the heav'n they go down to the depths again Their soul is melted fearfully because of troubling pain verse 27 They reel both to fro while ● to save themselves intend And stagger like a drunken man and are at their wits end verse 28 Then in their trouble to the LOR● they fervently do cry And out of their distresses he them bringeth by and by verse 29 The raging storm a pleasant cal● he maketh at his will So that in a most wondrous way the waves thereof are still verse 30 Then are they glad because that ● no more with tempests driv'n Most quiet be so he them brings to their desired hav'n verse 31 Oh that all men would praise ● LOR● for his great goodnesse then And for his works most wonderfull unto the sons of men verse 32 Al 's in the congregation great let them exalt him hie And thankfully still praise him where th'Elders assembled be verse 33 He turns into a wildernesse the rivers by and by ●nd water springs into a ground that is exceeding dry verse 34 A fertile and a fruitfull land he turns to barrennesse ●ecause the men that dwell therein are given to wickednesse verse 35 Into a standing water all the wildernesse he brings ●nd he the dry and thirsty ground turnes into water springs verse 36 There he doth make the hungrie dwell that they a city fair ●or pleasant habitation may most joyfully prepare verse 37 And plant vineyards aboundantly and also sow the field Which may at last most plenteously the fruits of increase yeeld verse 38 He also blesseth them so that they greatly do increase And suffreth not by any hurt their cattell to decrease verse 39 Again they minish'd are and broght down low far from relief Through very great oppression affliction al 's and grief verse 40 On Princes he doth powre cōtempt and causeth them to stray In the wast barren wildernesse wherein there is no way verse 41 Yet from affliction he the poore sets high as on a rock And him in mercy maketh al 's great fam'lies like a flock verse 42 The righteous man it well shall se● and heartily rejoice And after all iniquitie her mouth shall stop and close verse 43 Who so is wise and wil those
verse 4 To be remembred he hath made his works most wonderfull The LORD alwayes most gracious is and of compassion full verse 5 He unto them that fear him hath given meat aboundantlie He of his Covenant made most sure will ever mindfull be verse 6 He to the people of his works hath shew'd the power most large That of the heathen he may give to them the heritage verse 7 The works of his hands veritie and judgement are alway All his divine commandments still are sure and fast for ay verse 8 For ever and for ever they stand with great stedfastnesse And are also most wisely done in trueth and uprightnesse verse 9 He sent redemption to his folk his Cov'nant of great fame For ever he commanded hath right holy is his Name verse 10 Gods fear wisdomes beginning is good understanding sure Have they that do his word his praise for ever doth endure PSAL. CXII PRaise ye the Lord blest is the man that fears the LORD aright That in his wise commandments all still greatly doth delight verse 2 His seed shall mighty be upon the earth assuredlie The uprights generation shall for ever blessed be verse 3 Great wealth and riches ever fast shall in his house be sure And his most perfect righteousnesse for ever doth endure verse 4 To the upright ariseth light in darknesse speedilie Most gracious of compassion full and righteous al 's is he verse 5 A good man sheweth favour still and willingly doth lend He with discretion his affaires will guide ev'n to the end verse 6 He surely not for ever shall be mov'd so fix'd is he The righteous in remembrance sure shall everlasting be verse 7 He shall not be afraid of what ill tidings can afford His heart is ever fixed fast still trusting in the Lord. verse 8 His heart always estabish'd is he not afraid shall be Untill upon his enmies all his full desire he see verse 9 He hath dispersd and given to poor his righteousnesse for ay Endures his horn with honour shall exalted be alway verse 10 The wicked grieved shall it see his teeth he gnashing all Shall melt away and the desire of ill men perish shall PSAL. CXIII PRaise ye the Lord O of the Lord ye servants now proclame His worthy praise of God the Lord praise the most holy Name verse 2 Now of the LORD most blessed be the Name which we adore From this time forth from age to age and al 's for evermore verse 3 From the first rising of the Sun unto his going down The LORDS Name to be honour'd is with praise and great renown verse 4 The LORD above all nations is most high in Majestie And likewise is his glory great above the heavens hie verse 5 Who is now like unto the LORD our God who doth excell Who on high in the highest heav'n with Majestie doth dwell verse 6 Who though most high yet he himse●● still humbleth in his love Things to behold that are on earth and in the heav'ns above verse 7 Out of the dust he raiseth up the poor in miserie And out of the dung hill also the needie lifteth hie verse 8 That he him up in dignitie with Princes high may set With those that of his people all are ev'n the Princes great He doth the barren woman make to keep house and to be A mother glade of children dear the mighty LORD praise yee PSAL. CXIIII WHen Israel out of Egypt land went by a happy change And Jacobs house a people left that were of language strange His Sanctuarie Judah was wherein he chosd to dwell ●nd Isra'l his dominion al 's which he did rule right well The sea it saw and as in feare with hast the flight did take And Jordans river running straight was driv'n most quickly back verse 4 The mountains steep with their high tops did quake and skip as rams So did like wise the little hills ev'n like the younger lambs verse 5 What aild thee O thou troubled f● that thou the flight didst take Thou Jordan that so speedilie thou wast by force driv'n back verse 6 Ye mountaines high what was 〈◊〉 cau●● that ye did skip like rams What mov'd you also little hills to skip like younger lambs verse 7 Thou at the presence of the Lord earth tremble all and fear Ev'n at the presence of the GOD of Jacob to him dear verse 8 Which into waters turn'd the ro● ev'n standing like a lake And in the flint a fountain fair of waters clear did make PSAL. CXV LOrd not to us not unto us but unto thy name take Great glory for thy stedfast truth and for thy mercies sake verse 2 Wherefore should new the heath 〈◊〉 where is their God alone But our God's in the heav'ns he hath what ever he pleased done Their idols silver are and gold workes of mens hands they be They have mouths made but can not speak and eyes but they not see Of ears they have the shape but they hear not what men do tell They noses formed also have but there with cannot smell They hands have but they handle not and feet but cannot walk A throat they have but throgh it they can no way speak or talk To those vain things they are most like that in their wayes unjust Them make ev'n so is every one that into them doth trust verse 9 Trust thou O Israel in the Lord their help and shield that be verse 10 Trust in the Lord O A'rons house their help and shield is he verse 11 Ye that do fear the living Lord trust in the Lord alway He is their strong help and their shield that still upon him stay verse 12 The Lord of us hath mindfull been he sure will blesse us still He will blesse Israls house the house of Aaron blesse he will verse 13 He wil them blesse that fear the Lord and that both great and small verse 14 God shal increase you more more you and your children all verse 15 You all that have an upright heart are blessed of the Lord Which both the heav'n al 's the earth made by his mighty word verse 16 The heav'n ye ev'n the heav'ns above are all the Lords by right But to the sons of men he hath the earth giv'n by his might verse 17 The dead in grave can in no way praise give the Lord unto Nor any whatsoever that down into 〈◊〉 go But we the mighty Lord above will blesse with one accord ●om this time forth for evermore most gladly praise the Lord. PSAL. CXVI Love the Lord and that because he with attentive ear ●y voice and supplications al 's most willingly did hear Because he hath inclin'd his ear unto me troubled all ●erefore as long as heer I live I will upon him call Of death the sorrows compassd me and paines of hell got hold ●oon time I found troubles great and sorrows manifold Upon the name of GOD the LORD then did I call and say LORD my soul
deliver now I thee most humbly pray The LORD is ever gracious still and righteous in his wayes Yea our GOD to his servants all is mercifull alwayes verse 6 The LORD those safely doth preserv● that truely simple be I was through grief brought very low and he then helped me verse 7 Unto thy quiet rest my soul return now joyfullie For bountifully hath the LORD in mercy dealt with thee verse 8 For thou deliv'red hast my soul from death as thou thought meet My dimmed eyes from tears also from falling al 's my feet verse 9 I in the land of living men will walk the Lord before verse 10 I did believe therefore I spake I was afflicted sore verse 11 I said in my most foolish hast that all men liers be verse 12 What shall I render to the Lord for all his gifts to me verse 13 Salvations cup I will now take and on GODS Name will call verse 14 I 'le pay my vows unto the Lord before his people all verse 15 In the sight of the living Lord most precious is and dear ●he death of all his worthy Saints that truely do him fear verse 16 Oh Lord I am thy servant I thy servant am indeed ●nd al 's thy handmaids son yea thou hast loosd my bonds with speed verse 17 Of thanksgiving the sacrifice to thee I offer will ●nd on the name of GOD the LORD I will call humbly still verse 18 With thankfull heart unto the Lord my vows all will I pay In presence of his people all even now without delay verse 19 In the fair courts of the LORDS house yea in the midst of thee O beautifull Jerusalem the living LORD praise ye PSAL. CXVII O Praise the Lord most thankfully ye nations great and small With heart and voice praise him also on earth ye people all verse 2 For he his kindnesse mercifull to us doth still afford For ever the LORDS truth endures praise ye alwayes the LORD PSAL. CXVIII O Give now thanks unto the Lord for he is good most sure Because his mercy alwayes great for ever doth endure verse 2 That his mercy for ay endures let Israel now say verse 3 Let Aarons house say also that his mercy lasts for ay verse 4 Let them all now that fear the Lord at this time plainly say That his mercy most wonderfull endureth firm for ay verse 5 I in distresse cald on the LORD the Lord then answerd me He by his grace in a large place anone did set me free verse 6 The Lord is alwayes on my side therefore I will not fear What mortall man do alwayes can unto me far or neer verse 7 The LORD doth take my part with them that help me willingly Therefore upon them that me hate I my desire shall see verse 8 It better is still in the Lord to trust with patience Than in a man that mortall is to put our confidence verse 9 It better is still in the Lord to trust with patience Then in those that great Princes be to put our confidence verse 10 The Nations all did compasse me about me to annoy But in the name of God the Lord I will them all destroy verse 11 They compassd me about yea 〈◊〉 did compasse me about But in the Lords name I will them destroy and quite root out verse 12 Like Bees they compassd me as of thornes they quenched fall For in the name of God the Lord I will destroy them all verse 13 That I might fal thou sore hast thri● But God then helped me verse 14 The Lord 's my strength song ● salvation sure is he verse 15 In tents of righteous men the voice of joy and safety is The right hand of the mighty Lord doth valiantly for his verse 16 The right hand of the Lord always is now exalted hie The right hand of the mighty Lord doth very valiantly verse 17 I shall not die but live and shew the Lords great works therefore verse 18 God hath me chastned sore but hath to death not giv'n me ov'r verse 19 The gates of tighteousnesse to me to open now accord gladly will go into them and I will praise the Lord. verse 20 This gate of the Lord into which the righteous enter shall verse 21 I 'l praise thee for thou hast me heard and art my safety all verse 22 The stone the builders did refuse is of the corner head verse 23 This is Gods doing in our eyes it marvellous is indeed verse 24 This is the day which God the Lord in mercy great hath made We greatly therefore will rejoice and in it will be glad verse 25 Save now O Lord I thee beseech O Lord I alwayes thee Humbly beseech with all my heart send now prosperitie verse 26 Who in the Name of the Lord come still blessed let him be Out of the house ev'n of the Lord you blessed all have we verse 27 God is the Lord who hath to us shew'd light in each a do Bind ye the sacrifice with cords ev'n th' Altars hornes unto verse 28 Thou art my God for this thou shalt be praisd alwayes by me Thou art my God by me therefore thou shalt exalted be verse 29 O give now thanks unto the Lord for he is good alway For his mercy most wonderfull endureth fast for ay PSAL. CXIX ALEPH. BLest are all those that undefil'd are in the holy way Who in the law of God the Lord sincerely walk alway verse 2 Blest are all they that carefully his Testimonies keep And that him ever constantly with all their heart do seek verse 3 They al 's do no iniquitie then walk still in his wayes verse 4 Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts well alwayes verse 5 O that my ways were set to keep the statutes given by thee verse 6 When I thy precepts all respect I not asham'd shall be verse 7 With uprightnesse of heart I will thee praise when well I shall Have learned for to understand thy righteous judgements all verse 8 With care I will thy statutes keep O for thy mercies sake Not utterly O Lord in wrath me thy servant forsake BETH verse 9 Wherewith all shal a young man heer his way well cleanse indeed Even still according to thy word by thereto taking head verse 10 I with my whole heart carefu● have sought thee ev'ry way O from thy precepts let me not now wander far away verse 11 Thy word I have hid in my h● lest ' gainst thee I should sin verse 12 O Lord thou blessed art m● thy statutes well within verse 13 I with my lips unfained have declared thankfullie Thy judgements which directed ev'n from thy mouth to me verse 14 I of thy Testimonies have rejoiced in the way As much as in the riches all that men in treasures lay verse 15 I 'le in thy precepts meditate and all thy ways respect verse 16 Thy statuts shall be my delig●● thy word I 'le not forget GIMEL verse 17 Deal bountifully
