themselves_o at_o the_o begin_v for_o certain_a it_o be_v that_o some_o thing_n be_v necessary_a in_o the_o begin_v to_o teach_v a_o art_n which_o afterwards_o when_o they_o be_v once_o know_v be_v but_o superfluous_a and_o therefore_o of_o any_o thing_n that_o shall_v be_v here_o treat_v i_o will_v not_o that_o any_o man_n shall_v think_v that_o i_o intend_v to_o make_v the_o same_o a_o perpetual_a law_n or_o general_a rule_n for_o my_o intent_n be_v not_o in_o these_o instruction_n to_o make_v any_o law_n but_o only_o to_o show_v a_o introduction_n for_o the_o direction_n of_o such_o person_n as_o be_v but_o novice_n and_o beginner_n in_o this_o way_n in_o which_o course_n after_o that_o they_o shall_v be_v once_o enter_v by_o folowinge_v this_o introduction_n than_o the_o very_a use_n and_o experience_n they_o shall_v have_v in_o this_o exercise_n and_o much_o more_o the_o holy_a ghost_n will_v teach_v they_o each_o thing_n that_o they_o have_v to_o do_v herein_o the_o which_o be_v once_o sayede_o in_o this_o place_n i_o desire_v it_o may_v be_v understand_v in_o all_o the_o rest_n of_o this_o book_n of_o preparation_n which_o be_v a_o thing_n very_o requisite_a to_o be_v use_v before_o prayer_n and_o meditation_n cap._n v._n now_o it_o shall_v be_v requisite_a for_o we_o to_o treat_v particular_o of_o every_o one_o of_o these_o five_o part_n aforesaid_a he_o come_v to_o treat_v with_o man_n and_o to_o teach_v they_o his_o holy_a law_n this_o manner_n of_o preparation_n we_o be_v teach_v to_o use_v even_o by_o nature_n itself_o for_o we_o see_v it_o be_v a_o common_a manner_n that_o when_o we_o go_v to_o request_v any_o benefit_n of_o any_o friend_n of_o we_o who_o we_o have_v offend_v we_o do_v first_o desire_v he_o of_o pardon_n and_o forgevenes_n before_o we_o demand_v any_o other_o thing_n of_o he_o this_o may_v be_v do_v sometime_o with_o the_o heart_n only_o and_o sometime_o by_o sayeinge_v the_o
