after_o the_o king_n have_v wave_v the_o prosecution_n of_o the_o five_o member_n but_o deny_v to_o make_v know_v who_o have_v advise_v he_o to_o come_v in_o person_n to_o the_o house_n of_o commons_o they_o question_v the_o attorney-general_n who_o by_o the_o king_n command_n have_v exhibit_v the_o article_n against_o they_o and_o vote_v he_o a_o breaker_n of_o the_o privilege_n of_o parliament_n and_o no_o doubt_n have_v make_v he_o feel_v their_o cruelty_n if_o he_o have_v not_o speedy_o flee_v the_o land_n about_o the_o end_n of_o january_n they_o make_v a_o order_n of_o both_o house_n of_o parliament_n to_o prevent_v the_o go_n over_o of_o popish_a commander_n into_o ireland_n not_o so_o much_o fear_v that_o as_o that_o by_o this_o the_o king_n himself_o choose_v his_o commander_n for_o that_o service_n may_v aid_v himself_o out_o of_o ireland_n against_o the_o parliament_n but_o this_o be_v no_o great_a matter_n in_o respect_n of_o a_o petition_n they_o send_v his_o majesty_n about_o the_o same_o time_n that_o be_v to_o say_v about_o the_o 27_o the_o or_o 28_o the_o of_o january_n 1641._o wherein_o they_o desire_v in_o effect_n the_o absolute_a sovereignty_n of_o england_n though_o by_o the_o name_n of_o sovereignty_n they_o challenge_v it_o not_o whilst_o the_o king_n be_v live_v for_o to_o the_o end_n that_o the_o fear_n and_o danger_n of_o this_o kingdom_n may_v be_v that_o be_v master_n of_o the_o militia_n be_v master_n of_o the_o kingdom_n and_o consequent_o be_v in_o possession_n of_o a_o most_o absolute_a sovereignty_n the_o king_n be_v now_o at_o windsor_n to_o avoid_v the_o tumult_n of_o the_o common_a people_n before_o the_o gate_n of_o whitehall_n together_o with_o their_o clamour_n and_o affront_n there_o the_o 9_o the_o of_o february_n after_o he_o come_v to_o hampton-court_n and_o thence_o he_o go_v to_o dover_n with_o the_o queen_n and_o the_o princess_n of_o orange_n his_o daughter_n where_o the_o queen_n with_o the_o princess_n of_o orange_n it_o the_o house_n of_o commons_o take_v they_o but_o for_o a_o cypher_n man_n of_o title_n only_o without_o real_a power_n perhaps_o also_o the_o most_o of_o they_o thought_n that_o the_o take_n of_o the_o militia_n from_o the_o king_n will_v be_v a_o addition_n to_o their_o own_o power_n but_o they_o be_v very_o much_o mistake_v for_o the_o house_n of_o commons_o never_o intend_v they_o shall_v be_v sharer_n in_o it_o b._n what_o answer_v make_v the_o king_n to_o this_o petition_n a._n that_o when_o he_o shall_v know_v the_o extent_n of_o power_n which_o be_v intend_v to_o be_v establish_v in_o those_o person_n who_o they_o desire_v to_o be_v the_o commander_n of_o the_o militia_n in_o the_o several_a county_n and_o likewise_o to_o what_o time_n it_o shall_v be_v limit_v that_o no_o power_n shall_v be_v execute_v by_o his_o majesty_n alone_o without_o the_o advice_n of_o parliament_n than_o he_o will_v declare_v that_o

a_o new_a petition_n for_o the_o militia_n also_o present_o after_o they_o send_v a_o message_n to_o his_o majesty_n pray_v he_o to_o leave_v the_o prince_n at_o hampton_n court_n but_o the_o king_n oblige_v the_o people_n by_o the_o fundamental_a law_n of_o this_o kingdom_n and_o also_o that_o whosoever_o shall_v execute_v any_o power_n over_o the_o militia_n by_o colour_n of_o any_o when_o there_o be_v no_o public_a what_o be_v it_o that_o can_v be_v call_v public_a in_o a_o civil_a war_n without_o the_o king_n a._n the_o truth_n be_v the_o security_n be_v nothing_o worth_a but_o
