charitable_a use_n in_o such_o manner_n and_o form_n as_o be_v limit_v and_o appoint_v in_o the_o statute_n make_v in_o the_o 29_o eliz._n c._n 6._o concern_v recusant_n no_o popish_a recusant_n or_o feme_fw-fr covert_n shall_v be_v compel_v to_o abjure_v by_o this_o act._n every_o person_n that_o shall_v abjure_v by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n and_o refuse_v be_v thereunto_o require_v as_o aforesaid_a shall_v forfeit_v to_o the_o queen_n all_o his_o good_n and_o chattel_n for_o ever_o and_o his_o land_n and_o tenement_n during_o life_n the_o wife_n of_o any_o such_o offendor_n shall_v certain_a place_n of_o abode_n within_o the_o realm_n shall_v within_o forty_o day_n next_o after_o the_o session_n of_o parliament_n if_o they_o be_v in_o the_o realm_n and_o not_o restrain_v by_o she_o be_v rather_o careful_a to_o conserve_v peace_n at_o home_n then_o to_o maintain_v it_o abroad_o and_o be_v more_o mindful_a of_o the_o present_a age_n then_o of_o posterity_n and_o sure_o that_o king_n that_o succeed_v she_o may_v just_o expect_v to_o find_v a_o hard_a task_n so_o to_o govern_v as_o to_o preserve_v the_o love_n and_o obedience_n she_o have_v for_o beside_o her_o prudence_n and_o frugality_n in_o government_n and_o expense_n she_o be_v single_a &_o have_v not_o any_o kindred_n in_o the_o nation_n which_o be_v any_o charge_n to_o she_o whereas_o the_o king_n succeed_v not_o only_o have_v a_o queen_n but_o also_o posterity_n must_v multiply_v expense_n whereby_o he_o shall_v lose_v the_o affection_n of_o his_o subject_n from_o who_o it_o must_v be_v statute_n make_v against_o all_o manner_n of_o recusant_n be_v put_v in_o due_a and_o exact_a execution_n every_o recusant_n that_o shall_v conform_v himself_o to_o the_o law_n and_o ordinance_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n and_o repair_v to_o church_n and_o continue_v there_o during_o the_o time_n of_o divine_a service_n and_o sermon_n according_a to_o the_o true_a intent_n of_o the_o statute_n in_o that_o case_n make_v in_o the_o time_n of_o queen_n elizabeth_n shall_v be_v discharge_v from_o all_o penalty_n of_o recusancy_n so_o long_o as_o he_o continue_v in_o such_o obedience_n and_o conformity_n the_o heir_n of_o any_o recusant_n who_o be_v no_o recusant_n shall_v not_o incur_v any_o penalty_n for_o the_o recusancy_n of_o his_o ancestor_n if_o at_o the_o death_n of_o any_o recusant_n the_o heir_n of_o the_o recusant_n be_v a_o recusant_n and_o after_o become_v conformable_a to_o the_o law_n and_o ordinance_n of_o the_o church_n and_o take_v the_o oath_n of_o supremacy_n make_v in_o the_o first_o year_n of_o q._n eliz_n before_o the_o archbishop_n or_o bishop_n of_o the_o diocese_n than_o every_o such_o heir_n shall_v be_v discharge_v of_o all_o penalty_n happen_v in_o respect_n of_o the_o recusancy_n of_o his_o ancestor_n if_o the_o heir_n of_o any_o recusant_n be_v within_o the_o age_n of_o sixteen_o year_n at_o the_o death_n of_o his_o ancestor_n and_o after_o become_v or_o be_v a_o recusant_n that_o then_o he_o shall_v not_o be_v discharge_v from_o the_o penalty_n of_o recusancy_n until_o he_o submit_v to_o the_o law_n and_o ordinance_n of_o the_o church_n and_o take_v the_o say_a oath_n of_o supremacy_n in_o manner_n and_o form_n express_v 1._o 23_o eliz._n cap._n 1._o where_o any_o seizure_n shall_v be_v have_v of_o the_o 2_o part_n of_o any_o land_n or_o tenement_n etc._n etc._n for_o the_o not_o payment_n of_o the_o 20._o l._n due_a and_o payable_a for_o each_o month_n according_a to_o the_o statute_n in_o that_o case_n late_o continue_v the_o seizure_n until_o the_o residue_n of_o the_o debt_n be_v full_o satisfy_v and_o discharge_v the_o king_n and_o his_o heir_n shall_v not_o seize_v nor_o extend_v any_o three_o part_n descend_v to_o any_o such_o heir_n or_o any_o part_n thereof_o either_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o recusancy_n of_o such_o heir_n or_o the_o recusancy_n of_o his_o ancestor_n every_o person_n under_o the_o king_n obedience_n which_o at_o any_o time_n after_o the_o end_n of_o the_o session_n of_o that_o parliament_n shall_v send_v any_o child_n or_o other_o person_n under_o his_o government_n into_o any_o part_n beyond_o the_o sea_n out_o of_o the_o king_n obedience_n to_o be_v resident_a in_o any_o college_n or_o house_n of_o any_o popish_a order_n or_o profession_n whatsoever_o or_o repair_v to_o the_o same_o to_o be_v instruct_v in_o the_o popish_a religion_n or_o in_o any_o sort_n to_o profess_v the_o same_o shall_v for_o every_o such_o offence_n forfeit_v to_o the_o king_n the_o sum_n of_o one_o hundred_o pound_n and_o every_o person_n so_o pass_v or_o send_v beyond_o the_o sea_n in_o respect_n of_o himself_o or_o herself_o only_o and_o not_o in_o respect_n of_o he_o or_o her_o posterity_n be_v make_v incapable_a to_o inherit_v or_o purchase_v in_o any_o of_o the_o king_n dominion_n if_o any_o person_n bear_v in_o any_o of_o the_o king_n dominion_n at_o the_o make_n of_o this_o act_n be_v in_o any_o such_o house_n or_o college_n to_o be_v instruct_v in_o the_o popish_a religion_n and_o shall_v not_o return_v into_o some_o of_o his_o majesty_n dominion_n within_o one_o year_n next_o after_o the_o session_n of_o that_o parliament_n and_o submit_v himself_o as_o be_v aforesaid_a shall_v be_v in_o respect_n of_o himself_o only_o and_o not_o in_o respect_n of_o his_o heir_n and_o posterity_n utter_o uncapable_a of_o inherit_v or_o purchase_v within_o any_o of_o the_o king_n dominion_n provide_v that_o if_o any_o such_o person_n shall_v afterward_o become_v obedient_a and_o conformable_a to_o the_o law_n and_o ordinance_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n and_o repair_v to_o church_n according_a to_o the_o true_a intent_n of_o the_o say_a statute_n and_o ordinance_n and_o continue_v so_o to_o do_v that_o then_o every_o such_o person_n shall_v be_v discharge_v of_o such_o disability_n no_o woman_n nor_o any_o child_n under_o the_o age_n of_o twenty_o one_o year_n except_o sailor_n and_o shipboy_n or_o the_o apprentice_n or_o factor_n of_o some_o merchant_n in_o trade_n of_o merchandise_n shall_v be_v permit_v to_o pass_v over_o the_o sea_n without_o licence_n from_o the_o king_n or_o six_o or_o more_o of_o the_o privy_a council_n under_o their_o hand_n upon_o pain_n that_o the_o officer_n of_o the_o port_n that_o wilful_o or_o negligent_o do_v suffer_v any_o such_o to_o pass_v and_o do_v not_o enter_v the_o name_n of_o such_o passenger_n so_o license_v shall_v forfeit_v their_o office_n and_o all_o their_o good_n and_o chattel_n and_o that_o every_o owner_n of_o any_o ship_n or_o vessel_n that_o shall_v wilful_o carry_v over_o sea_n any_o such_o person_n without_o licence_n shall_v forfeit_v his_o ship_n or_o vessel_n and_o all_o the_o tackle_n and_o every_o mr._n or_o mariner_n of_o or_o in_o any_o such_o ship_n offend_v as_o aforesaid_a shall_v forfeit_v all_o their_o good_n and_o suffer_v imprisonment_n by_o the_o space_n of_o 12_o month_n without_o bail_n or_o mainprize_n no_o person_n shall_v keep_v any_o school_n or_o be_v a_o schoolmaster_n out_o of_o any_o of_o the_o university_n or_o college_n of_o this_o realm_n except_o it_o be_v in_o some_o public_a or_o free_a grammar-school_n or_o in_o some_o such_o nobleman_n or_o noblewoman_n gentleman_fw-mi or_o gentlewoman_n house_n as_o be_v not_o recusant_n or_o where_o the_o say_v same_o schoolmaster_n shall_v not_o be_v license_v by_o the_o archbishop_n bishop_n or_o guardian_n of_o the_o spiritualty_n of_o that_o diocese_n upon_o pain_n that_o as_o well_o the_o schoolmaster_n as_o the_o party_n that_o entertain_v he_o shall_v forfeit_v for_o every_o day_n so_o offend_v the_o sum_n of_o forty_o shilling_n the_o one_o half_a to_o the_o king_n the_o other_o to_o he_o who_o shall_v sue_v for_o the_o same_o in_o any_o of_o the_o king_n court_n of_o record_n in_o westminster_n by_o action_n of_o debt_n bill_n plaint_n or_o information_n in_o which_o no_o essoine_n protection_n or_o wager_n of_o law_n shall_v be_v allow_v because_o some_o popish_o affect_a do_v repair_v to_o church_n monthly_o whereby_o 4._o stat._n anno._n 3._o jac._n cap._n 4._o they_o do_v evade_v the_o penalty_n impose_v by_o precedent_a parliament_n as_o be_v allege_v it_o be_v therefore_o enact_v that_o if_o any_o recusant_n so_o conform_v shall_v not_o once_o a_o year_n at_o least_o after_o the_o session_n of_o parliament_n receive_v the_o sacrament_n in_o the_o church_n of_o that_o parish_n where_o he_o or_o she_o usual_o abide_v or_o if_o there_o be_v no_o church_n then_o in_o the_o church_n next_o adjoin_v shall_v forfeit_v for_o the_o first_o year_n the_o sum_n of_o twenty_o pound_n for_o the_o second_o year_n
shall_v retain_v in_o service_n see_v or_o livery_n any_o person_n which_o shall_v forbear_v to_o go_v to_o some_o usual_a place_n of_o divine_a service_n by_o the_o space_n of_o a_o month_n shall_v forfeit_v for_o every_o such_o month_n he_o know_v the_o same_o the_o sum_n of_o ten_o pound_n this_o act_n shall_v not_o extend_v to_o punish_v any_o person_n for_o maintain_v relieve_v or_o harbour_v his_o father_n or_o mother_n want_v without_o fraud_n any_o other_o habitation_n or_o sufficient_a maintenance_n or_o the_o ward_n of_o any_o person_n commit_v by_o authority_n to_o the_o custody_n of_o any_o by_o who_o they_o shall_v be_v so_o relieve_v maintain_v or_o keep_v the_o sheriff_n or_o other_o officer_n upon_o lawful_a writ_n warrant_v or_o process_n to_o he_o award_v to_o take_v or_o apprehend_v any_o popish_a recusant_n stand_v excommunicate_v for_o recusancy_n may_v break_v open_a the_o house_n where_o any_o such_o person_n excommunicate_v shall_v be_v or_o raise_v and_o quarter-session_n no_o attainder_n of_o felony_n by_o this_o act_n shall_v extend_v to_o forfeiture_n of_o dower_n or_o corruption_n of_o blood_n the_o defendant_n in_o any_o action_n commence_v noble-woman_n be_v above_o the_o age_n of_o 18._o year_n and_o if_o such_o nobleman_n or_o noble-woman_n other_o than_o the_o woman_n marry_v refuse_v the_o same_o they_o shall_v incur_v the_o penalty_n of_o a_o praemunire_n where_o any_o person_n shall_v pass_v out_o of_o the_o cinque-port_n or_o any_o member_n thereof_o to_o any_o part_n beyond_o the_o sea_n to_o serve_v any_o foreign_a prince_n state_n or_o potentate_n the_o lord_n warden_n of_o the_o cinque-port_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o any_o person_n by_o he_o appoint_v have_v power_n to_o take_v bond_n and_o minister_v this_o oath_n to_o such_o passenger_n if_o any_o man_n discover_v any_o recusant_n or_o other_o person_n which_o shall_v entertain_v or_o 5._o stat._n annn._n 3_o jac._n cap._n 5._o relieve_v any_o jesuit_n seminary_n or_o popish_a priest_n or_o shall_v discover_v any_o mass_n to_o have_v be_v say_v and_o the_o person_n which_o be_v present_a and_o the_o priest_n or_o any_o that_o be_v present_a within_o three_o day_n shall_v not_o only_o be_v free_v from_o any_o penalty_n but_o shall_v have_v the_o three_o part_n of_o the_o forfeiture_n of_o all_o such_o sum_n of_o money_n good_n and_o chattel_n which_o shall_v be_v forfeit_v for_o such_o offence_n if_o the_o forfeiture_n exceed_v not_o 150_o l._n if_o it_o do_v exceed_v 150_o l._n then_o the_o discoverer_n to_o have_v 50_o l._n and_o the_o discoverer_n after_o conviction_n of_o the_o offendor_n shall_v have_v a_o certificate_n from_o the_o judge_n or_o justice_n of_o peace_n before_o who_o such_o conviction_n shall_v happen_v to_o be_v direct_v to_o the_o sheriff_n or_o other_o officer_n that_o shall_v seize_v the_o good_n command_v he_o to_o pay_v the_o same_o according_o no_o popish_a recusant_n shall_v come_v such_o recusant_n shall_v dwell_v within_o ten_o mile_n of_o london_n to_o deliver_v up_o his_o name_n to_o the_o next_o justice_n of_o peace_n within_o forty_o day_n after_o the_o session_n of_o parliament_n upon_o the_o penalty_n of_o one_o hundred_o pound_n the_o one_o half_a to_o the_o king_n the_o other_o to_o he_o who_o will_v sue_v as_o aforesaid_a all_o recusant_n which_o shall_v
