â§_o by_o the_o king_n ¶_o a_o proclamation_n concern_v assart_n land_n whereas_o by_o our_o proclamation_n give_v at_o our_o palace_n of_o westminster_n the_o xvii_o day_n of_o february_n in_o the_o second_o year_n of_o our_o reign_n of_o great_a britain_n france_n and_o ireland_n we_o do_v publish_v and_o make_v it_o know_v to_o our_o love_a subject_n that_o for_o their_o common_a good_a and_o quiet_a and_o for_o avoid_v of_o chargeable_a and_o tedious_a suit_n we_o have_v by_o our_o commission_n under_o the_o great_a seal_n of_o england_n give_v full_a power_n and_o authority_n unto_o certain_a commissioner_n in_o the_o say_a commission_n mention_v for_o we_o and_o in_o our_o name_n to_o bargain_n sell_v and_o conclude_v for_o diverse_a our_o message_n land_n tenement_n and_o hereditament_n call_v assart_n waste_v or_o purpresture_n which_o be_v or_o be_v within_o the_o limit_n of_o some_o of_o our_o forest_n to_o and_o with_o any_o person_n or_o person_n and_o their_o heir_n in_o fee-ferme_a or_o other_o estate_n of_o inheritance_n with_o a_o discharge_n of_o the_o mean_a profit_n as_o by_o our_o say_a proclamation_n may_v more_o at_o large_a appear_v whereupon_o we_o doubt_v not_o but_o our_o love_a subject_n who_o it_o do_v concern_v and_o who_o have_v be_v long_o in_o possession_n of_o the_o say_a land_n at_o very_o low_a rate_n will_v have_v take_v care_n in_o time_n to_o have_v provide_v for_o their_o own_o profit_n safety_n and_o peace_n therein_o and_o nevertheless_o we_o be_v of_o late_o inform_v that_o hitherto_o very_a few_o of_o they_o have_v appear_v before_o our_o say_a commissioner_n to_o compound_v or_o conclude_v for_o any_o of_o our_o say_a message_n land_n tenement_n or_o hereditament_n and_o be_v expect_v presume_v as_o it_o seem_v that_o they_o may_v take_v their_o own_o time_n and_o leisure_n for_o it_o and_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n some_o other_o never_o possess_v of_o the_o say_a message_n land_n tenement_n or_o hereditament_n have_v in_o their_o default_n offer_v to_o compound_v and_o conclude_v with_o we_o for_o the_o same_o wherein_o our_o desire_n be_v that_o the_o long_a and_o ancient_a possessor_n of_o the_o say_a land_n shall_v herein_o be_v prefer_v before_o all_o other_o these_o be_v therefore_o to_o signify_v our_o further_a pleasure_n that_o all_o such_o as_o be_v possess_v of_o any_o the_o say_a message_n land_n tenement_n or_o hereditament_n and_o do_v purpose_n or_o think_v good_a for_o their_o own_o profit_n safety_n and_o quiet_a to_o compound_v or_o conclude_v with_o our_o say_a commissioner_n for_o any_o the_o say_a message_n land_n tenement_n or_o hereditament_n call_v assart_n waste_v or_o purpresture_n which_o be_v or_o be_v within_o the_o limit_n of_o any_o of_o our_o forest_n or_o chase_n shall_v come_v in_o and_o attend_v our_o say_a commissioner_n concern_v the_o same_o betwixt_o this_o and_o the_o first_o of_o october_n now_o next_o ensue_v otherwise_o in_o their_o default_n we_o will_v dispose_v thereof_o to_o other_o as_o we_o shall_v see_v cause_n give_v at_o our_o manor_n of_o east-greenwich_n the_o xij_o day_n of_o may_n in_o the_o three_o year_n of_o our_o reign_n of_o great_a britain_n france_n and_o ireland_n gold_n save_o the_o king_n â§_o imprint_v at_o london_n by_o robert_n baker_n printer_n to_o the_o king_n most_o excellent_a majesty_n anno_fw-la dom._n 1605._o
