it_o be_v confess_v by_o the_o book_n of_o the_o law_n themselves_o that_o it_o can_v establish_v nothing_o against_o the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o if_o tithe_n be_v in_o the_o clergy_n by_o the_o law_n of_o god_n as_o before_o we_o have_v show_v then_o can_v they_o not_o be_v pull_v from_o he_o by_o any_o law_n of_o man_n neither_o have_v the_o parliament_n as_o it_o seem_v attempt_v to_o do_v it_o but_o insomuch_o as_o they_o be_v misemploy_v by_o the_o clergy_n of_o that_o time_n therefore_o the_o parliament_n take_v they_o from_o they_o and_o give_v they_o to_o the_o king_n not_o in_o any_o new_a course_n of_o property_n or_o to_o be_v enjoy_v by_o he_o as_o his_o temporal_a inheritance_n but_o to_o be_v his_o in_o as_o large_a and_o ample_a manner_n say_v the_o statute_n as_o the_o governor_n of_o those_o religious_a house_n have_v or_o aught_o to_o have_v the_o same_o now_o it_o be_v apparent_a that_o the_o governor_n of_o religious_a house_n neither_o have_v they_o nor_o aught_o to_o have_v they_o otherwise_o then_o to_o the_o service_n of_o god_n and_o benefit_n of_o the_o church_n 6._o to_o what_o end_n they_o be_v grant_v to_o the_o king_n this_o point_n depend_v upon_o the_o precedent_n for_o the_o end_n why_o they_o be_v give_v unto_o the_o king_n be_v declare_v by_o the_o manner_n of_o give_v they_o unto_o he_o therefore_o though_o the_o statute_n say_v to_o have_v and_o to_o hold_v to_o his_o majesty_n his_o heir_n and_o their_o own_o will_n to_o do_v and_o use_v therewith_o his_o and_o their_o own_o will_n yet_o lest_o their_o will_n shall_v decline_v from_o the_o due_a employment_n of_o they_o as_o the_o religious_a person_n do_v therefore_o the_o statute_n add_v these_o word_n to_o the_o pleasure_n of_o god_n and_o to_o the_o honour_n and_o profit_n of_o this_o realm_n so_o that_o the_o king_n have_v not_o the_o thing_n themselves_o simple_o but_o in_o such_o manner_n only_o as_o the_o religious_a person_n have_v they_o and_o that_o be_v but_o to_o the_o service_n of_o god_n and_o benefit_n of_o the_o church_n the_o king_n can_v have_v they_o in_o no_o other_o manner_n then_o for_o the_o service_n of_o god_n and_o benefit_n of_o the_o church_n and_o then_o to_o the_o word_n subsequent_a in_o the_o habendum_fw-la viz._n to_o do_v and_o use_v therewith_o their_o will_n be_v no_o more_o then_o if_o we_o shall_v say_v that_o the_o king_n etc._n etc._n shall_v have_v they_o to_o dispose_v of_o in_o the_o service_n of_o god_n and_o of_o his_o church_n according_a to_o his_o own_o will_n and_o wisdom_n which_o the_o word_n annex_v plain_o intimate_a appoint_v unto_o the_o king_n by_o what_o bound_n and_o mark_n he_o must_v walk_v in_o dispose_v of_o they_o namely_o so_o as_o may_v be_v to_o the_o pleasure_n of_o god_n and_o the_o honour_n and_o profit_n of_o the_o realm_n but_o it_o can_v be_v to_o the_o pleasure_n of_o god_n that_o his_o minister_n shall_v be_v defraud_v nor_o to_o the_o honour_n and_o profit_n of_o the_o realm_n that_o the_o service_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v hinder_v or_o neglect_v and_o therefore_o the_o king_n must_v have_v and_o hold_v they_o to_o those_o purpose_n and_o to_o none_o other_o and_o that_o the_o king_n be_v not_o deceive_v in_o this_o kind_n of_o construction_n of_o the_o act_n of_o parliament_n it_o appear_v by_o a_o declaration_n make_v by_o himself_o free_o in_o a_o oration_n of_o he_o unto_o the_o parliament_n anno_fw-la 37._o of_o his_o reign_n where_o he_o say_v i_o can_v a_o little_a rejoice_v when_o i_o consider_v the_o perfect_a trust_n and_o confidence_n which_o you_o have_v put_v in_o i_o as_o man_n have_v undoubted_a hope_n and_o unfeigned_a
