beyond_o some_o of_o the_o elect_a phil._n show_v i_o i_o pray_v you_o in_o what_o gift_n theol._n in_o learning_n discretion_n justice_n temperance_n prudence_n patience_n liberality_n assability_n kindness_n courtesy_n good_a nature_n etc._n etc._n phil._n i_o think_v it_o shall_v not_o be_v possible_a theol._n yes_o true_o for_o some_o of_o god_n dear_a child_n in_o who_o no_o doubt_n the_o inward_a work_n be_v true_o and_o sound_o wrought_v yet_o be_v so_o trouble_v and_o encumber_v with_o a_o crabbed_a &_o crooked_a nature_n and_o so_o clog_v with_o some_o master_n sin_n as_o some_o with_o anger_n some_o with_o pride_n some_o with_o covetousness_n some_o with_o lust_n some_o one_o way_n and_o some_o another_o all_o which_o break_v out_o in_o they_o do_v so_o blemish_v they_o and_o their_o profession_n that_o they_o can_v so_o shine_v forth_o unto_o man_n as_o otherwise_o no_o doubt_n they_o will_v and_o this_o be_v their_o wound_n their_o grief_n and_o their_o heart-smart_n and_o that_o which_o co_v they_o many_o a_o tear_n and_o many_o a_o prayer_n and_o yet_o can_v they_o not_o get_v the_o fu_n l_o victory_n over_o they_o but_o still_o they_o be_v less_o gift_n and_o their_o outward_a carriage_n be_v comparable_a with_o many_o other_o theol._n questionless_a very_o many_o for_o they_o be_v guide_v by_o god_n spirit_n and_o uphold_v by_o his_o grace_n do_v walk_v very_o upright_o and_o unblamable_o towards_o man_n phil._n yet_o there_o rest_v one_o scruple_n for_o it_o seem_v very_o strange_a unto_o i_o that_o man_n of_o so_o discreet_a carriage_n professor_n of_o the_o gospel_n which_o thing_n do_v plain_o argue_v the_o strength_n of_o it_o for_o it_o be_v the_o strong_a and_o the_o very_a last_o engine_n that_o satan_n use_v to_o impugn_v we_o withal_o when_o none_o other_o will_v prevail_v for_o when_o no_o temptation_n can_v fasten_v upon_o christ_n he_o bring_v forth_o this_o last_o weapon_n which_o never_o fail_v 4._o matth._n 4._o world_n shall_v have_v any_o sound_a comfort_n in_o god_n for_o no_o man_n can_v serve_v two_o master_n both_o god_n and_o riches_n their_o case_n therefore_o be_v very_o dangerous_a and_o fearful_a though_o they_o never_o see_v it_o nor_o feel_v it_o as_o i_o will_v show_v you_o by_o a_o plain_a example_n put_v case_n one_o of_o these_o great_a rich_a worldling_n shall_v be_v clothe_v in_o velvet_n and_o cloth_n of_o gold_n in_o most_o stately_a manner_n and_o also_o shall_v be_v set_v at_o his_o table_n furnish_v with_o all_o the_o dainty_n of_o the_o world_n shall_v be_v attend_v and_o wait_v upon_o by_o many_o in_o most_o lordly_a and_o pompous_a manner_n shall_v sit_v in_o his_o goodly_a dine_a chamber_n all_o glitter_a like_o gold_n shall_v have_v his_o first_o second_o manner_n they_o ruile_a and_o slander_n seoffe_n and_o scorn_n mock_v and_o mow_v at_o they_o as_o though_o they_o be_v not_o worthy_a to_o live_v upon_o the_o earth_n they_o esteem_v every_o pelt_a may_v be_v find_v and_o to_o call_v upon_o he_o while_o he_o be_v near_o to_o forsake_v our_o own_o way_n and_o our_o own_o imagination_n and_o to_o turn_v unto_o he_o with_o all_o our_o heart_n with_o weep_v with_o fast_v and_o with_o mourning_n as_o the_o prophet_n joel_n chap._n â—_o advise_v for_o our_o god_n be_v gracious_a and_o merciful_a slow_a to_o anger_n and_o of_o great_a
