as_o he_o do_v with_o outward_a israel_n which_o be_v a_o figure_n of_o the_o spiritual_a israel_n travel_v to_o the_o heavenly_a canaan_n as_o israel_n be_v lead_v to_o the_o earthly_a canaan_n a_o land_n that_o flow_v with_o milk_n and_o honey_n and_o abound_v with_o all_o good_a thing_n necessary_a for_o the_o nourishment_n and_o sustenance_n of_o man_n as_o corn_n wine_n and_o oil_n this_o be_v for_o the_o outward_a israel_n so_o the_o spiritual_a israel_n be_v lead_v into_o the_o spiritual_a canaan_n a_o land_n flow_v with_o milk_n and_o honey_n there_o be_v the_o sincere_a milk_n of_o the_o word_n and_o honey_n out_o of_o the_o rock_n to_o satisfy_v we_o this_o bless_a land_n be_v worth_a all_o our_o pain_n labour_n and_o travel_v therefore_o persevere_v and_o go_v on_o with_o patience_n and_o courage_n and_o think_v not_o thou_o be_v come_v to_o the_o end_n of_o thy_o journey_n notwithstanding_o all_o thy_o inlargement_n in_o duite_n and_o sweet_a enjoyment_n and_o strong_a consolation_n of_o the_o spirit_n thou_o have_v be_v make_v partaker_n of_o god_n may_v bring_v thou_o into_o the_o wilderness_n into_o mnay_n strait_n affliction_n and_o distress_n to_o prove_v thou_o and_o try_v thou_o and_o do_v thou_o good_a in_o thy_o latter_a end_n thou_o may_v be_v bring_v into_o the_o wilderness_n as_o thy_o master_n christ_n be_v and_o try_v to_o the_o utmost_a of_o thy_o strength_n see_v it_o must_v be_v thus_o be_v content_v with_o the_o will_n of_o the_o lord_n though_o he_o shall_v hide_v his_o face_n and_o thou_o shall_v feel_v desertion_n and_o great_a distress_n of_o soul_n insomuch_o as_o thy_o soul_n shall_v be_v as_o the_o dry_a and_o parch_a ground_n where_o no_o water_n be_v that_o be_v barren_a and_o bring_v forth_o no_o fruit_n and_o thou_o think_v with_o thyself_o that_o the_o lord_n be_v angry_a with_o thou_o and_o delay_n his_o come_n to_o thou_o and_o thou_o be_v afraid_a thou_o have_v do_v something_o that_o have_v displease_v the_o lord_n that_o he_o shall_v so_o long_o hide_v his_o face_n and_o not_o lift_v up_o the_o light_n of_o his_o countenance_n upon_o thou_o and_o this_o cause_v great_a search_n of_o heart_n and_o make_v thou_o cry_v out_o what_o have_v i_o do_v why_o be_v it_o thus_o and_o why_o have_v the_o lord_n withdraw_v himself_o and_o why_o do_v i_o want_v those_o comfort_n that_o sometime_o i_o have_v enjoy_v i_o be_o now_o in_o a_o starve_a wilderness_n and_o barren_a desert_n o_o how_o shall_v i_o receive_v again_o those_o sweet_a income_n of_o the_o love_n of_o god_n that_o sometime_o i_o have_v enjoy_v i_o will_v put_v myself_o now_o upon_o strict_a performance_n and_o exact_a walk_v thou_o think_v by_o this_o mean_n to_o obtain_v divine_a comfort_n and_o have_v the_o joy_n of_o thy_o salvation_n which_o thou_o have_v in_o some_o measure_n lose_v restore_v to_o thou_o but_o alas_o all_o this_o will_v not_o do_v what_o must_v i_o dâ—_n under_o these_o sad_a circumstance_n if_o obedience_n will_v not_o do_v if_o thou_o shall_v receive_v no_o comfort_n or_o refreshment_n because_o of_o the_o lord_n withdraw_v and_o hide_v his_o face_n trust_v not_o to_o thy_o own_o duty_n and_o obedience_n but_o rely_v upon_o christ_n obedience_n his_o complete_a and_o perfect_a obedience_n look_v unto_o jesus_n who_o be_v thy_o advocate_n with_o the_o father_n and_o propitiation_n for_o thy_o sin_n and_o not_o for_o thy_o only_a but_o for_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o whole_a world_n 1_o john_n 2.1_o my_o little_a child_n say_v the_o apostle_n john_n these_o thing_n for_o we_o to_o heaven_n that_o be_v to_o say_v to_o bring_v down_o christ_n from_o above_o to_o bring_v he_o down_o to_o appear_v in_o a_o body_n of_o flesh_n he_o be_v not_o then_o come_v in_o the_o flesh_n yet_o be_v expect_v in_o many_o age_n moses_n and_o all_o the_o holy_a prophet_n and_o holy_a man_n of_o god_n they_o be_v content_v with_o a_o spiritual_a sight_n of_o he_o they_o wait_v we_o and_o not_o for_o himself_o he_o suffer_v the_o death_n of_o the_o cross_n he_o be_v cut_v off_o for_o our_o sin_n not_o for_o his_o own_o he_o shed_v his_o precious_a blood_n for_o our_o sin_n not_o for_o his_o own_o he_o offer_v not_o a_o sacrifice_n as_o other_o priest_n do_v first_o for_o his_o own_o sin_n and_o then_o for_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o people_n for_o he_o have_v no_o sin_n of_o his_o own_o if_o you_o have_v fix_v your_o faith_n upon_o this_o and_o if_o you_o have_v a_o live_a faith_n in_o your_o heart_n iâ—_n will_v open_v to_o you_o and_o give_v you_o the_o comfort_n of_o it_o i_o say_v it_o be_v a_o lamentation_n and_o may_v be_v for_o a_o lamentation_n that_o the_o true_a faith_n of_o it_o be_v so_o little_o preach_v in_o christendom_n therefore_o christendom_n be_v as_o a_o wilderness_n which_o may_v have_v be_v as_o the_o garden_n of_o the_o lord_n
