and_o place_n aforesaid_a or_o any_o other_o part_n or_o part_n thereof_o such_o and_o so_o many_o fort_n fortress_n castle_n city_n borough_n town_n village_n and_o other_o fortification_n whatsoever_o and_o the_o same_o or_o any_o of_o they_o to_o fortify_v and_o furnish_v with_o ordnance_n powder_n shoot_v and_o arm_n and_o all_o other_o weapon_n ammunition_n and_o habiliment_n of_o war_n offensive_a and_o defensive_a as_o shall_v be_v think_v fit_a and_o convenient_a for_o the_o welfare_n and_o safety_n of_o the_o say_a province_n or_o place_n of_o any_o part_n thereof_o and_o the_o same_o or_o any_o of_o they_o from_o time_n to_o time_n as_o occasion_n shall_v require_v dismantle_v disfurnish_v demolish_v and_o put_v down_o and_o also_o to_o place_n constitute_v and_o appoint_v in_o or_o over_o all_o or_o any_o of_o the_o say_a castle_n fort_n fortification_n city_n town_n or_o place_n aforesaid_a governor_n deputy-governour_n magistrate_n sheriff_n and_o other_o officer_n civil_a and_o military_a as_o to_o they_o shall_v seem_v meet_a and_o to_o the_o say_a city_n town_n borough_n village_n or_o any_o other_o place_n or_o place_n within_o the_o say_a province_n or_o territory_n to_o grant_v letter_n or_o charter_n of_o incorporation_n with_o all_o liberty_n franchise_n and_o privilege_n requisite_a and_o usual_a or_o to_o be_v within_o any_o corporation_n within_o this_o our_o king_n of_o england_n grant_v or_o belong_v and_o in_o the_o same_o city_n borough_n town_n and_o other_o place_n to_o constitute_v erect_v and_o appoint_v such_o and_o so_o many_o market_n mart_n and_o fair_n as_o shall_v in_o that_o behalf_n be_v think_v fit_a and_o necessary_a and_o further_a also_o to_o make_v and_o erect_v in_o the_o province_n or_o territory_n aforesaid_a or_o any_o part_n thereof_o so_o many_o manor_n with_o such_o seignory_n as_o to_o they_o shall_v seem_v meet_a and_o convenient_a and_o every_o of_o the_o say_a manor_n to_o courts-leet_n for_o the_o conservation_n of_o the_o peace_n and_o better_a government_n of_o those_o part_n with_o such_o limit_n jurisdiction_n precinct_n as_o by_o the_o say_v edward_n earl_n of_o clarendon_n &c_n &c_n or_o their_o heir_n shall_v be_v appoint_v for_o that_o purpose_n with_o all_o thing_n whatsoever_o which_o to_o a_o court-leet_n or_o a_o view_n of_o frankpledge_a belong_v the_o same_o court_n to_o be_v hold_v by_o steward_n to_o be_v depute_v and_o authorize_v by_o the_o say_v edward_n earl_n of_o clarendon_n etc._n etc._n or_o their_o heir_n or_o by_o the_o lord_n other_o manor_n and_o leet_n for_o the_o time_n be_v when_o the_o same_o shall_v be_v erect_v and_o because_o that_o in_o so_o remote_a a_o country_n and_o situate_v among_o so_o many_o barbarous_a nation_n the_o invasion_n as_o well_o of_o savage_n as_o other_o enemy_n pirate_n and_o robber_n may_v probable_o be_v sear_v therefore_o we_o have_v as_o for_o we_o our_o heir_n and_o successor_n give_v power_n by_o these_o present_n unto_o the_o say_v edward_n earl_n of_o clarendon_n etc._n etc._n their_o heir_n and_o assign_v by_o themselves_o or_o their_o captain_n or_o other_o officer_n to_o levy_v muster_n and_o train_n all_o sort_n of_o man_n of_o what_o condition_n soever_o bear_v whether_o in_o the_o say_a province_n or_o elsewhere_o for_o the_o time_n be_v and_o to_o make_v war_n and_o to_o pursue_v the_o enemy_n aforesaid_a as_o well_o by_o sea_n as_o by_o land_n yea_o even_o without_o the_o limit_n of_o the_o say_a province_n and_o by_o god_n assistance_n to_o within_o in_o the_o province_n aforesaid_a or_o upon_o the_o main_a sea_n in_o make_v a_o voyage_n thither_o or_o return_v from_o thence_o by_o he_o and_o themselves_o their_o captain_n deputy_n or_o
