under_o the_o penalty_n of_o fifty_o pound_n to_o be_v recover_v and_o dispose_v of_o as_o aforesaid_a and_o whosoever_o shall_v buy_v barter_n or_o bargain_n with_o any_o such_o know_a horse-catcher_n or_o driver_n for_o any_o cattle_n or_o horse_n without_o the_o same_o be_v first_o vouch_v as_o aforesaid_a he_o she_o or_o they_o so_o offend_a shall_v for_o every_o such_o offence_n forfeit_a and_o pay_v the_o sum_n of_o twenty_o pound_n to_o be_v recover_v and_o dispose_v of_o as_o aforesaid_a and_o it_o be_v further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o if_o any_o driver_n or_o horse-catcher_n shall_v at_o any_o time_n hereafter_o fraudulent_o or_o design_o put_v any_o false_a burn_a mark_n ear-mark_a or_o any_o other_o mark_v or_o deface_v any_o old_a mark_n he_o or_o they_o shall_v for_o such_o offence_n be_v guilty_a of_o felony_n it_o be_v further_a enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o no_o person_n or_o person_n that_o be_v keeper_n or_o owner_n of_o goat_n shall_v suffer_v their_o goat_n to_o feed_v in_o any_o person_n land_n except_o their_o own_o and_o if_o any_o do_v suffer_v the_o same_o to_o feed_v in_o any_o person_n land_n it_o shall_v be_v deem_v trespass_n and_o the_o owner_n of_o the_o land_n shall_v recover_v in_o any_o court_n of_o record_n full_a cost_v of_o suit_n in_o the_o say_a action_n beside_o what_o damage_n shall_v be_v give_v by_o the_o jury_n be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o no_o person_n whatsoever_o shall_v be_v capable_a of_o hunt_v with_o any_o gang_n of_o dog_n in_o this_o island_n that_o be_v not_o a_o planter_n in_o it_o and_o have_v not_o at_o least_o five_o acre_n of_o land_n plant_v and_o that_o any_o person_n that_o shall_v presume_v to_o hunt_v any_o gang_n of_o dog_n within_o this_o island_n be_v not_o qualify_v as_o aforesaid_a shall_v forfeit_v for_o every_o such_o offence_n his_o gang_n of_o dog_n and_o the_o sum_n of_o ten_o pound_n sterling_a to_o be_v recover_v in_o any_o court_n of_o record_n within_o this_o island_n by_o bill_n plaint_n or_o information_n the_o one_o moiety_n or_o half_a part_n of_o all_o such_o forfeiture_n shall_v be_v to_o our_o sovereign_a lord_n the_o king_n his_o heir_n and_o successor_n for_o the_o support_n of_o the_o government_n and_o contingent_a charge_n thereof_o and_o the_o other_o moiety_n shall_v be_v to_o the_o informer_n or_o any_o person_n that_o shall_v sue_v for_o the_o same_o and_o it_o shall_v not_o be_v lawful_a for_o any_o planter_n or_o planter_n in_o this_o island_n to_o own_o any_o hunt_a gang_n of_o dog_n which_o shall_v not_o proper_o belong_v to_o themselves_o their_o mate_n in_o plant_v or_o hunt_v by_o their_o servant_n under_o the_o penalty_n of_o ten_o pound_n sterling_a for_o each_o time_n he_o or_o they_o shall_v so_o offend_v to_o be_v recover_v in_o manner_n and_o form_n aforesaid_a and_o to_o be_v dispose_v of_o as_o aforesaid_a and_o it_o be_v further_o enact_v and_o ordain_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o if_o any_o hunt_a gang_n of_o dog_n shall_v kill_v or_o maim_v any_o tame_a stock_n belong_v to_o any_o planter_n or_o person_n whatsoever_o or_o do_v he_o or_o they_o any_o prejudice_n or_o damage_n the_o party_n so_o damnify_v lift_v the_o damage_n amount_v to_o not_o above_o forty_o shilling_n satisfaction_n for_o the_o same_o shall_v be_v recover_v by_o warrant_n from_o any_o justice_n of_o the_o peace_n but_o if_o it_o amount_v to_o more_o than_o forty_o shilling_n the_o person_n or_o person_n so_o injure_v shall_v sue_v for_o the_o same_o at_o common_a law_n and_o if_o any_o person_n shall_v kill_v or_o maim_v any_o manner_n of_o tame_a stock_n as_o sheep_n hog_n or_o goat_n either_o by_o hunt_v or_o otherwise_o and_o shall_v not_o forthwith_o discover_v the_o same_o to_o the_o next_o justice_n or_o constable_n to_o the_o end_n the_o damage_n may_v be_v know_v and_o recover_v as_o whatsoever_o shall_v hunt_v any_o gang_n of_o dog_n within_o four_o mile_n of_o any_o crawâ—_n or_o settlement_n except_o in_o his_o own_o land_n or_o leave_v from_o the_o proprietor_n of_o the_o same_o upon_o pain_n of_o ten_o pound_n sterling_a and_o that_o no_o person_n or_o person_n whatsoever_o shall_v set_v any_o snare_n or_o engine_n in_o any_o place_n whatsoever_o his_o plant_v ground_n only_o except_v under_o penalty_n of_o forty_o shilling_n for_o every_o time_n any_o person_n shall_v so_o offend_v in_o either_o of_o the_o premise_n to_o be_v recover_v as_o aforesaid_a and_o robert_n swanley_n and_o that_o a_o moiety_n of_o the_o say_a land_n be_v sell_v by_o the_o say_v swanley_n to_o one_o thomas_n tothill_n decease_a who_o estate_n real_a be_v in_o pursuance_n of_o a_o act_n of_o this_o island_n expose_v to_o sale_n and_o sell_v for_o and_o towards_o the_o satisfaction_n of_o the_o just_a debt_n of_o the_o say_v thomas_n tothill_n to_o sir_n charles_n modyford_n baronet_n and_o the_o whole_a purchase_v as_o aforesaid_a sell_v by_o the_o say_a sir_n charles_n modyford_n baronet_n and_o william_n parker_n esq_n to_o edward_n yeoman_n esq_n for_o a_o valuable_a consideration_n and_o the_o aforesaid_a letter_n of_o attorney_n through_o the_o ignorance_n and_o neglect_v of_o those_o time_n not_o prove_v and_o record_v as_o the_o law_n of_o this_o baronet_n and_o the_o say_v william_n parker_n esq_n any_o law_n or_o custom_n usage_n or_o pretence_n of_o right_n whatsoever_o to_o the_o contrary_a in_o any_o wise_n notwithstanding_o a_o act_n encourage_v the_o importation_n of_o white_a servant_n forasmuch_o as_o it_o be_v provide_v in_o a_o act_n of_o this_o country_n entitle_v a_o act_n for_o regulate_a servant_n for_o the_o strengthen_n and_o better_a defence_n of_o this_o his_o majesty_n island_n every_o master_n and_o owner_n of_o slave_n shall_v have_v such_o quantity_n of_o white_a servant_n proportionable_a to_o the_o number_n by_o the_o governor_n council_n and_o assembly_n and_o it_o be_v hereby_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n of_o the_o same_o that_o no_o merchant_n master_n or_o importer_n of_o white_a servant_n shall_v presume_v to_o sell_v any_o white_a servant_n or_o servant_n before_o they_o have_v be_v ten_o day_n import_v under_o the_o penalty_n of_o ten_o pound_n for_o every_o such_o servant_n so_o sell_v the_o one_o moiety_n to_o be_v to_o our_o sovereign_a lord_n the_o king_n his_o heir_n and_o successor_n for_o and_o towards_o the_o support_n of_o the_o government_n of_o this_o island_n and_o the_o contingent_a charge_n thereof_o the_o other_o moiety_n to_o the_o informer_n to_o be_v recover_v by_o bill_n plaint_n or_o information_n in_o any_o court_n of_o record_n within_o this_o island_n wherein_o no_o essoign_n protection_n or_o wager_n of_o law_n shall_v be_v allow_v provide_v nevertheless_o that_o for_o the_o ten_o day_n after_o importation_n of_o any_o such_o white_a servant_n as_o abovesaid_a the_o factor_n or_o seller_n shall_v pay_v the_o master_n for_o their_o diet_n aboard_o the_o ship_n nor_o shall_v they_o be_v remove_v by_o the_o say_a master_n from_o thence_o before_o the_o ten_o day_n be_v past_a under_o the_o penalty_n aforesaid_a to_o be_v recover_v and_o dispose_v of_o as_o aforesaid_a and_o be_v it_o likewise_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o whatsoever_o master_n or_o commander_n of_o any_o ship_n or_o vessel_n that_o shall_v bring_v in_o or_o import_n into_o this_o island_n to_o the_o number_n of_o fifty_o white_a male_a servant_n and_o due_a proof_n upon_o oath_n be_v thereof_o make_v before_o the_o naval_a officer_n who_o be_v hereby_o empower_v to_o administer_v the_o same_o shall_v for_o that_o voyage_n be_v altogether_o free_v and_o exempt_v from_o pay_v any_o port-charge_n for_o the_o say_a ship_n or_o vessel_n wherein_o the_o say_v servant_n shall_v be_v import_v any_o other_o custom_n or_o law_n to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o any_o debt_n or_o debt_n contract_v for_o any_o servant_n or_o servant_n sell_v of_o the_o peace_n to_o decide_v difference_n not_o exceed_v forty_o shilling_n any_o law_n custom_n or_o usage_n heretofore_o to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o and_o it_o be_v also_o hereby_o twenty_o pound_n for_o every_o such_o offence_n to_o be_v recover_v and_o dispose_v of_o as_o aforesaid_a provide_v also_o that_o nothing_o be_v herein_o construe_v to_o prohibit_v any_o master_n or_o owner_n of_o any_o sugar-work_a within_o this_o island_n from_o make_v cask_n at_o their_o respective_a plantation_n or_o other_o convenient_a place_n as_o heretofore_o any_o thing_n in_o this_o act_n to_o the_o contrary_a notwithstanding_o a_o act_n for_o register_n of_o deed_n and_o patent_n be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o governor_n council_n and_o assembly_n and_o it_o be_v hereby_o enact_v and_o ordain_v by_o the_o authority_n of_o the_o same_o that_o a_o deed_n in_o due_a form_n of_o law_n make_v and_o within_o three_o month_n after_o the_o date_n thereof_o acknowledge_v by_o the_o party_n or_o party_n that_o grant_v the_o same_o or_o prove_v by_o the_o oath_n of_o one_o sufficient_a witness_n or_o more_o before_o the_o governor_n or_o some_o one_o of_o the_o judge_n of_o the_o court_n of_o this_o island_n and_o the_o same_o record_v at_o length_n in_o the_o office_n of_o enrolment_n which_o say_v office_n shall_v always_o be_v keep_v at_o st._n jago_n de_fw-fr la_fw-fr vega_n within_o the_o say_v three_o month_n shall_v be_v valid_a to_o pass_v the_o same_o without_o livery_n seize_v attornment_n or_o any_o other_o act_n or_o ceremony_n in_o the_o law_n whatsoever_o and_o grant_v any_o lease_n for_o above_o the_o space_n of_o three_o year_n provide_v nevertheless_o that_o any_o old_a deed_n or_o conveyance_n heretofore_o make_v for_o land_n or_o house_n and_o omit_v to_o be_v record_v upon_o be_v acknowledge_v or_o prove_v and_o at_o any_o time_n after_o the_o make_n hereof_o record_v in_o the_o say_a office_n of_o enrolment_n shall_v be_v effectual_o valid_a and_o of_o force_n but_o if_o it_o shall_v happen_v that_o any_o second_o bill_n of_o sale_n or_o conveyance_n for_o a_o valuable_a consideration_n be_v make_v by_o the_o say_a vendor_n or_o his_o heir_n for_o the_o same_o land_n or_o house_n or_o any_o part_n thereof_o and_o the_o same_o be_v due_o execute_v and_o record_v than_o it_o be_v hereby_o declare_v that_o the_o last_v vendee_fw-mi the_o court_n of_o common-plea_n as_o aforesaid_a and_o all_o those_o deed_n and_o conveyance_n where_o any_o grant_a or_o conveyancer_n shall_v personal_o appear_v in_o his_o majesty_n court_n hold_v before_o the_o lord_n mayor_n and_o alderman_n of_o the_o city_n of_o london_n for_o the_o time_n be_v and_o shall_v then_o and_o there_o own_o and_o acknowledge_v such_o deed_n grant_v or_o conveyance_n to_o be_v his_o act_n and_o deed_n and_o a_o attest_v thereof_o be_v make_v under_o the_o seal_n of_o the_o mayorality_n of_o the_o say_a city_n and_o the_o same_o be_v record_v in_o house_n and_o land_n now_o inhabit_a by_o one_o edward_n watkins_n and_o know_v by_o the_o sign_n of_o the_o blue_a bell_n be_v hereby_o enjoin_v and_o oblige_v by_o this_o act_n within_o twelve_o month_n after_o publication_n hereof_o substantial_o to_o wharf_n out_o and_o secure_a and_o keep_v secure_v their_o respective_a proportion_n of_o land_n join_v on_o the_o sea_n with_o substantial_a authority_n aforesaid_a that_o the_o collector_n or_o receiver-general_n of_o this_o island_n for_o the_o time_n be_v or_o he_o that_o shall_v officiate_v in_o his_o room_n or_o stead_n shall_v annual_o during_o the_o term_n aforesaid_a out_o of_o the_o money_n receive_v by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n charge_v down_o the_o say_v one_o thousand_o pound_n so_o as_o aforesaid_a appropriate_v to_o the_o particular_a account_n of_o the_o fortification_n and_o shall_v keep_v a_o distinct_a book_n of_o account_n for_o the_o same_o which_o book_n of_o account_n shall_v be_v free_a and_o open_a at_o all_o office-hour_n for_o any_o person_n to_o view_v the_o same_o without_o pay_v any_o manner_n of_o fee_n therefore_o and_o that_o the_o say_a receiver-general_n or_o his_o deputy_n shall_v when_z and_o as_o often_o as_o thereunto_o require_v by_o the_o governor_n council_n or_o assembly_n when_o sit_v or_o to_o any_o committee_n by_o they_o or_o either_o of_o they_o to_o be_v appoint_v give_v in_o upon_o oath_n which_o oath_n they_o be_v hereby_o empower_v to_o administer_v a_o just_a and_o true_a account_n of_o the_o particular_a disbursement_n out_o of_o the_o thousand_o pound_n per_fw-la annum_fw-la so_o appropriate_v as_o aforesaid_a and_o that_o the_o say_a receiver-general_n shall_v with_o good_a and_o sufficient_a security_n such_o as_o shall_v be_v approve_v of_o by_o the_o governor_n and_o a_o quorum_fw-la of_o the_o council_n enter_v into_o bond_n in_o the_o penalty_n of_o five_o thousand_o pound_n which_o bond_n shall_v lie_v in_o the_o secretary_n office_n to_o be_v sue_v in_o manner_n and_o form_n as_o be_v direct_v in_o a_o act_n require_v all_o master_n of_o ship_n and_o vessel_n to_o give_v security_n in_o the_o secretary_n office_n under_o the_o condition_n hereafter_o express_v that_o be_v to_o say_v the_o condition_n of_o this_o obligation_n be_v such_o that_o if_o the_o above_o bind_v a.b._n collector_n or_o receiver-general_n shall_v well_o and_o true_o account_v for_o as_o often_o as_o he_o shall_v be_v thereunto_o require_v by_o the_o governor_n for_o the_o time_n be_v and_o a_o quorum_fw-la of_o the_o council_n or_o a_o committee_n of_o the_o assembly_n all_o and_o every_o such_o sum_n and_o sum_n of_o money_n which_o either_o have_v or_o shall_v come_v to_o his_o hand_n either_o by_o virtue_n of_o a_o act_n entitle_v a_o act_n for_o raise_v a_o public_a impost_n make_v at_o a_o assembly_n hold_v by_o prorogation_n the_o four_o day_n of_o october_n in_o the_o thirty_o three_o tear_n of_o his_o majesty_n reign_n or_o a_o act_n entitle_v a_o act_n for_o raise_v a_o public_a impost_n make_v at_o a_o assembly_n hold_v by_o prorogation_n the_o twenty_o first_o day_n of_o september_n in_o the_o thirty_o four_o year_n of_o his_o majesty_n reign_n that_o now_o be_v or_o any_o other_o act_n or_o act_n whatsoever_o as_o also_o well_o and_o true_o to_o pay_v the_o sum_n of_o one_o thousand_o pound_n yearly_a and_o every_o year_n for_o and_o during_o the_o time_n the_o aforesaid_a act_n make_v in_o the_o thirty_o four_o year_n of_o the_o king_n reign_n entitle_v a_o act_n for_o raise_v a_o public_a impost_n shall_v be_v in_o force_n by_o warrant_n of_o the_o governor_n with_o the_o advice_n and_o consent_n of_o a_o quorum_fw-la of_o the_o council_n for_o and_o towards_o the_o repair_v and_o building_n fortification_n and_o also_o pay_v all_o other_o sum_v of_o money_n according_a to_o the_o intent_n and_o meaning_n and_o to_o the_o use_v mention_v and_o direct_v in_o the_o say_a act_n that_o then_o this_o present_a obligation_n to_o be_v void_a otherwise_o to_o remain_v in_o full_a force_n and_o virtue_n and_o in_o case_n the_o say_a collector_n or_o receiver-general_n or_o his_o deputy_n shall_v presume_v to_o act_n in_o the_o say_a office_n long_o than_o twenty_o day_n after_o the_o pass_n of_o this_o act_n before_o he_o have_v give_v the_o security_n with_o the_o condition_n aforesaid_a he_o or_o they_o shall_v for_o every_o such_o offence_n forfeit_v the_o sum_n of_o one_o thousand_o pound_n currant_n money_n of_o this_o island_n one_o three_o part_n thereof_o to_o be_v to_o our_o sovereign_a lord_n the_o king_n his_o heir_n and_o successor_n for_o and_o towards_o the_o support_n of_o the_o government_n of_o this_o island_n and_o the_o
