manifestation_n in_o they_o of_o the_o image_n of_o christ_n but_o they_o who_o be_v high_a in_o grace_n they_o be_v near_o to_o christ_n in_o the_o resemblance_n of_o his_o excellent_a perfection_n of_o holiness_n and_o to_o speak_v plain_o there_o be_v much_o more_o of_o christ_n in_o they_o four_o the_o more_o you_o obtain_v in_o the_o proportion_n of_o grace_n the_o great_a revenue_n of_o honour_n will_v you_o be_v able_a to_o bring_v in_o to_o god_n i_o tell_v you_o that_o the_o weak_a grace_n can_v enable_v you_o to_o bring_v god_n some_o honour_n why_o then_o much_o grace_n can_v help_v you_o far_o in_o that_o service_n it_o can_v set_v up_o his_o name_n on_o high_a a_o little_a faith_n can_v honour_v god_n but_o a_o strong_a faith_n such_o as_o abraham_n or_o moses_n will_v bring_v more_o honour_n to_o his_o goodness_n and_o faithfulness_n a_o little_a love_n will_v make_v you_o to_o do_v something_o for_o christ_n but_o much_o love_n will_v make_v you_o do_v much_o more_o the_o more_o grace_n that_o you_o attain_v the_o more_o glorious_o will_v you_o shine_v in_o your_o conversation_n and_o in_o all_o the_o fruit_n of_o righteousness_n with_o more_o fullness_n evenness_n and_o steadfastness_n and_o all_o this_o glorify_v your_o father_n which_o be_v in_o heaven_n five_o you_o yourselves_o will_v gain_v more_o if_o your_o grace_n be_v increase_v more_o e._n g._n you_o will_v certain_o find_v more_o peace_n in_o conscience_n and_o more_o freedom_n from_o slavish_a fear_n and_o doubt_n and_o more_o confidence_n in_o your_o access_n to_o god_n and_o more_o sweetness_n in_o the_o ordinance_n of_o christ_n and_o more_o enlargement_n of_o heart_n in_o all_o your_o communion_n with_o god_n and_o more_o wisdom_n and_o strength_n against_o the_o temptation_n of_o satan_n 2._o how_o may_v one_o know_v that_o he_o have_v much_o of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o he_o that_o humble_a how_o to_o know_v that_o we_o have_v much_o of_o god_n spirit_n in_o we_o if_o more_o humble_a grace_n be_v increase_v and_o raise_v that_o he_o be_v more_o spiritual_a sol._n you_o may_v know_v it_o thus_o first_o if_o you_o be_v more_o humble_a the_o more_o pride_n offer_v any_o thing_n concern_v walk_v in_o god_n statute_n and_o keep_v and_o do_v of_o they_o if_o a_o person_n deny_v 1._o that_o there_o be_v a_o god_n unquestionable_o he_o do_v therein_o deny_v all_o the_o law_n or_o statute_n of_o god_n and_o likewise_o all_o obedience_n unto_o his_o law_n and_o hold_v position_n three_o atheistical_a position_n 2._o that_o god_n have_v no_o authority_n to_o prescribe_v law_n unto_o his_o creature_n or_o that_o he_o never_o do_v constitute_v any_o law_n prescribe_v and_o limit_v his_o creature_n but_o have_v leave_v every_o man_n to_o walk_v in_o the_o way_n of_o his_o own_o heart_n 3._o though_o he_o have_v set_v law_n and_o rule_n of_o life_n yet_o his_o creature_n be_v at_o their_o own_o liberty_n to_o obey_v they_o or_o not_o obey_v they_o if_o he_o obey_v they_o it_o be_v well_o and_o if_o they_o please_v not_o to_o obey_v they_o there_o be_v no_o sin_n or_o danger_n i_o say_v such_o atheistical_a position_n as_o these_o do_v utter_o void_a all_o the_o sovereignty_n of_o god_n and_o obligation_n of_o man_n and_o be_v the_o foundation_n of_o all_o wickedness_n and_o disobedience_n therefore_o of_o necessity_n if_o any_o person_n will_v walk_v in_o the_o statute_n of_o god_n and_o do_v they_o he_o must_v be_v real_o and_o full_o convince_v of_o these_o three_o principle_n 1._o that_o there_o be_v a_o god_n a_o true_a and_o live_a god_n the_o maker_n and_o possessor_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n who_o be_v the_o lord_n and_o sovereign_n of_o all_o man_n to_o who_o the_o authority_n of_o make_v law_n for_o they_o do_v of_o right_o belong_v for_o he_o indeed_o have_v the_o sovereignty_n and_o high_a power_n 2._o that_o he_o have_v give_v law_n or_o statute_n unto_o all_o the_o son_n of_o man_n in_o which_o he_o reveal_v his_o mind_n will_n and_o pleasure_n concern_v they_o what_o he_o will_v have_v they_o to_o do_v and_o what_o he_o will_v have_v they_o to_o avoid_v 3._o that_o those_o law_n or_o statute_n of_o he_o be_v obligation_n upon_o man_n they_o do_v not_o only_o teach_v what_o be_v good_a and_o evil_n but_o bound_v we_o also_o to_o do_v that_o good_a and_o to_o decline_v that_o evil_n the_o lord_n god_n be_v bind_v to_o uphold_v his_o own_o will_n and_o glory_n and_o have_v threaten_v all_o transgressor_n of_o his_o law_n and_o reveal_v his_o wrath_n against_o they_o and_o have_v punish_v they_o and_o still_o have_v in_o readiness_n to_o avenge_v the_o disobedience_n of_o man_n second_o when_o you_o do_v believe_v that_o there_o be_v a_o god_n who_o have_v authority_n to_o prescribe_v law_n unto_o you_o and_o that_o he_o have_v enact_v and_o publish_v they_o for_o all_o man_n to_o take_v notice_n of_o they_o then_o must_v you_o give_v diligence_n to_o know_v what_o apprehension_n which_o be_v partly_o 1._o literal_a this_o be_v the_o least_o and_o weak_a part_n of_o our_o knowledge_n when_o a_o man_n knowledge_n a_o literal_a knowledge_n can_v say_v or_o read_v or_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o god_n law_n and_o recite_v they_o word_n by_o word_n yet_o without_o understand_v the_o hiddenness_n of_o the_o law_n themselves_o as_o many_o say_v the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n prayer_n who_o yet_o understand_v not_o the_o meaning_n of_o that_o prayer_n so_o do_v many_o say_v the_o word_n of_o god_n law_n or_o commandment_n who_o yet_o etc._n etc._n 2._o spiritual_a and_o this_o be_v of_o that_o law_n which_o be_v in_o the_o law_n it_o be_v a_o knowledge_n of_o knowledge_n spiritual_a knowledge_n the_o true_a meaning_n and_o purpose_n of_o any_o law_n or_o statute_n of_o god_n many_o know_v literal_o who_o yet_o know_v not_o spiritual_o so_o aâ—_n to_o dive_v into_o and_o reach_v the_o meaning_n of_o god_n e._n g._n thou_o shall_v have_v none_o other_o god_n but_o i_o exod._n 20._o 3._o these_o letter_n and_o word_n be_v know_v by_o many_o and_o yet_o the_o sense_n of_o they_o be_v know_v only_o to_o a_o few_o namely_o that_o we_o must_v
