shall_v acknowledge_v the_o neglect_n of_o our_o endeavour_n and_o that_o we_o have_v fail_v not_o only_o in_o the_o main_a performance_n of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n which_o our_o nature_n can_v not_o perform_v but_o in_o our_o desire_n and_o careful_a endeavour_n to_o do_v well_o law_n the_o effect_n in_o the_o reprobate_n issue_v from_o the_o meditation_n of_o the_o law_n which_o our_o nature_n may_v and_o from_o this_o meditation_n do_v necessary_o follow_v one_o of_o these_o two_o effect_n in_o the_o reprobate_n and_o graceless_a it_o cause_v desperation_n and_o a_o hopeless_a distrust_n of_o their_o salvation_n for_o when_o the_o devil_n and_o their_o conscience_n expose_v before_o they_o the_o justice_n of_o god_n the_o severity_n of_o his_o law_n and_o the_o infinite_a measure_n of_o their_o offence_n the_o extreme_a terror_n and_o sense_n of_o their_o wickedness_n do_v so_o confound_v their_o understanding_n that_o often_o they_o execute_v upon_o themselves_o torment_n and_o
