law_n be_v necessary_a to_o make_v man_n know_v their_o sin_n and_o their_o woeful_a condition_n by_o sin_n that_o thereby_o they_o may_v be_v glad_a to_o listen_v after_o and_o embrace_v the_o gospel_n i_o think_v this_o can_v be_v deny_v by_o any_o judicious_a divine_a in_o physic_n indeed_o we_o find_v that_o those_o thing_n which_o have_v go_v for_o principle_n for_o above_o a_o thousand_o year_n none_o so_o much_o as_o question_v they_o within_o less_o than_o thirty_o year_n be_v turn_v out_o of_o door_n very_o few_o of_o the_o ancient_a principle_n stand_v but_o if_o man_n will_v do_v so_o in_o these_o great_a point_n of_o divinity_n they_o may_v prove_v themselves_o fool_n but_o no_o spiritual_a physician_n mr._n saltmarsh_n in_o a_o book_n of_o he_o which_o i_o read_v many_o year_n since_o but_o have_v it_o not_o now_o by_o i_o give_v these_o legal_a preacher_n a_o notable_a jeer_n he_o tell_v his_o reader_n that_o these_o preacher_n will_v preach_v christ_n bid_v people_n take_v and_o drink_v but_o they_o have_v so_o heat_v the_o gospel_n with_o legal_a preach_n that_o they_o be_v afraid_a to_o meddle_v with_o it_o have_v there_o be_v as_o much_o piety_n and_o truth_n as_o there_o be_v wit_n in_o the_o jeer_n i_o shall_v have_v like_v it_o well_o i_o do_v not_o justify_v man_n in_o their_o error_n want_v of_o wisdom_n prudence_n in_o preach_v of_o christ_n blood_n without_o preach_v the_o law_n to_o convince_v man_n of_o sin_n and_o make_v they_o see_v and_o feel_v the_o necessity_n of_o gospel_n and_o christ_n blood_n to_o convince_v man_n of_o sin_n by_o the_o gospel_n first_o this_o i_o look_v upon_o as_o very_o irrational_a and_o immethodical_a take_v my_o mind_n under_o these_o head_n first_o it_o be_v not_o the_o proper_a work_n of_o the_o gospel_n to_o convince_v of_o sin_n but_o of_o the_o remedy_n paul_n tell_v we_o he_o have_v not_o know_v sin_n but_o by_o the_o law_n rom._n 7.7_o by_o the_o law_n come_v the_o knowledge_n
