agreeable_a to_o a_o treasure_n 2._o a_o treasure_n be_v a_o thing_n of_o dignity_n and_o worth_n it_o be_v not_o a_o company_n of_o pebble_n though_o many_o that_o will_v make_v up_o a_o treasure_n treasure_n consist_v of_o thing_n of_o worth_n and_o dignity_n and_o thus_o be_v the_o gospel_n in_o it_o be_v contain_v excellent_a and_o admirable_a truth_n the_o mystery_n of_o salvation_n by_o christ_n the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n b●ings_v glad_a tiding_n of_o peace_n and_o reconciliation_n with_o god_n in_o christ_n there_o we_o have_v the_o gift_n and_o grace_n of_o god_n there_o we_o have_v glory_n and_o immortality_n etc._n etc._n and_o those_o thing_n in_o the_o gospel_n be_v administer_v to_o we_o there_o be_v no_o science_n in_o the_o world_n bring_v such_o treasure_n as_o this_o 2._o the_o gospel_n be_v a_o treasure_n for_o variety_n and_o abundance_n and_o plurality_n it_o be_v not_o one_o thing_n of_o worth_n but_o many_o that_o make_v up_o a_o treasure_n if_o few_o yet_o much_o worth_n must_v be_v comprehend_v in_o they_o so_o in_o the_o gospel_n we_o have_v the_o manifold_a wisdom_n of_o god_n the_o rich_a treasure_n of_o wisdom_n and_o knowledge_n the_o gospel_n though_o it_o be_v but_o one_o for_o substance_n yet_o it_o be_v many_o for_o improvement_n it_o be_v a_o chain_n of_o many_o link_n one_o faith_n but_o divers_a article_n of_o it_o so_o it_o be_v a_o treasure_n in_o that_o respect_n 3._o it_o be_v a_o treasure_n for_o its_o closeness_n we_o do_v not_o open_v a_o treasure_n to_o every_o one_o but_o it_o be_v keep_v close_o the_o gospel_n be_v a_o secret_a mystery_n hide_a not_o reveal_v to_o every_o one_o it_o be_v not_o discover_v to_o carnal_a worldly_a man_n though_o it_o may_v be_v reveal_v to_o they_o in_o the_o outward_a proposition_n yet_o not_o in_o the_o spirituality_n of_o it_o but_o where_o shall_v wisdom_n be_v find_v and_o where_o be_v the_o place_n of_o understanding_n say_v job_n ch_n 28_o v._n 12._o the_o the_o gospel_n be_v conveve_v to_o we_o make_v we_o a_o treasure_n and_o as_o the_o ministry_n be_v a_o treasure_n so_o the_o opportunity_n and_o advantage_n thereof_o be_v thus_o the_o gospel_n and_o the_o ministry_n thereof_o be_v precious_a and_o aught_o to_o be_v esteem_v and_o make_v use_n of_o by_o we_o we_o shall_v high_o account_v of_o the_o gospel_n and_o put_v a_o high_a value_n on_o it_o for_o it_o be_v a_o treasure_n yea_o it_o be_v a_o treasure_n in_o the_o want_n of_o other_o treasure_n they_o be_v rich_a that_o be_v make_v partaker_n of_o it_o silver_n and_o gold_n have_v i_o none_o say_v st._n peter_n to_o the_o cripple_n but_o such_o as_o i_o have_v i_o give_v it_o thou_o this_o be_v the_o privilege_n of_o minister_n though_o it_o may_v be_v poor_a in_o respect_n of_o themselves_o yet_o be_v rich_a to_o other_o these_o excellent_a riches_n be_v commit_v to_o we_o and_o according_o we_o must_v not_o only_o make_v use_n of_o they_o ourselves_o but_o make_v they_o know_v to_o other_o the_o gospel_n be_v a_o treasure_n not_o for_o we_o to_o keep_v but_o to_o discover_v reveal_z and_o manifest_v to_o other_o to_o give_v the_o light_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n etc._n etc._n this_o be_v the_o work_n of_o the_o ministry_n we_o have_v indeed_o this_o treasure_n but_o not_o for_o ourselves_o only_o but_o for_o other_o we_o be_v to_o keep_v it_o to_o preserve_v and_o maintain_v it_o but_o so_o as_o to_o be_v diligent_a to_o impart_v what_o be_v commit_v to_o we_o for_o the_o edification_n of_o other_o every_o scribe_n instruct_v to_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n be_v as_o a_o good_a householder_n bring_v forth_o thing_n new_a and_o old_a the_o gospel_n be_v a_o treasure_n therefore_o we_o ought_v to_o carry_v ourselves_o answerable_a to_o it_o as_o 1._o we_o must_v labour_v for_o it_o be_v diligent_a in_o the_o search_n of_o it_o dig_v for_o it_o as_o for_o hide_a treasure_n lift_v up_o thy_o voice_n for_o understanding_n etc._n etc._n pro._n 2.2_o 3_o 4._o dig_v for_o it_o you_o know_v there_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o painstaking_a and_o labour_v use_v to_o get_v worldly_a treasure_n what_o will_v not_o man_n venture_v for_o it_o they_o will_v go_v over_o sea_n and_o land_n go_v through_o fire_n and_o water_n expose_v themselves_o to_o all_o danger_n for_o earthly_a treasure_n make_v unto_o themselves_o friend_n of_o the_o mammon_n of_o unrighteousness_n pass_v away_o a_o great_a deal_n of_o time_n and_o take_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o care_n for_o it_o 2._o esteem_v this_o treasure_n this_o heavenly_a wisdom_n this_o evangelical_n knowledge_n even_o the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n labour_n to_o understand_v it_o and_o have_v the_o efficacy_n wrought_v upon_o your_o heart_n 3._o rejoice_v in_o it_o how_o do_v man_n rejoice_v in_o earthly_a treasure_n so_o shall_v we_o as_o the_o merchant_n in_o the_o gospel_n when_o he_o have_v find_v the_o pearl_n of_o price_n rejoice_v exceed_o so_o we_o ought_v as_o be_v make_v partaker_n thereof_o i_o great_o rejoice_v at_o

have_v but_o your_o eye_n open_a to_o behold_v to_o what_o certain_a great_a and_o unconceivable_a misery_n you_o be_v every_o moment_n for_o want_n of_o god_n gracious_a presence_n obnoxious_a who_o alas_o can_v stand_v by_o you_o if_o god_n be_v not_o with_o you_o who_o be_v there_o that_o can_v give_v you_o comfort_n if_o he_o frown_v upon_o you_o or_o who_o can_v relieve_v your_o soul_n when_o assault_v by_o man_n tempt_v by_o devil_n and_o grievous_o torment_v by_o the_o estuation_n of_o your_o own_o conscience_n if_o god_n depart_v from_o you_o the_o happiness_n of_o man_n consist_v in_o communion_n with_o god_n and_o all_o those_o be_v complete_o miserable_a with_o who_o the_o lord_n be_v not_o present_a 2._o the_o great_a safety_n and_o bless_a security_n of_o all_o those_o that_o endeavour_n to_o walk_v according_a to_o what_o thty_a have_v hear_v and_o learned_a and_o receive_v of_o the_o lord_n not_o to_o do_v as_o the_o most_o do_v not_o to_o run_v with_o the_o man_n of_o the_o world_n into_o the_o same_o excess_n of_o riot_n but_o to_o walk_v circumspect_o endeavour_v to_o answer_v our_o knowledge_n with_o suitable_a practice_n this_o do_v usual_o enrage_v the_o world_n against_o we_o however_o if_o god_n be_v with_o we_o what_o can_v all_o the_o world_n do_v against_o we_o rom._n 8.13_o such_o walk_n with_o god_n in_o a_o way_n of_o duty_n whatever_o
