promise_n of_o god_n only_o and_o the_o infallible_a truth_n thereof_o second_o a_o man_n be_v say_v to_o be_v certain_a of_o his_o salvation_n in_o respect_n of_o charity_n which_o they_o say_v be_v the_o form_n of_o faith_n for_o he_o that_o have_v charity_n be_v in_o this_o part_n and_o in_o this_o respect_n certain_a of_o his_o salvation_n for_o charity_n be_v a_o sure_a cause_n of_o salvation_n and_o if_o it_o can_v be_v that_o a_o man_n may_v never_o fall_v from_o charity_n even_o for_o that_o cause_n alone_o he_o may_v be_v simple_o &_o absolute_o certain_a of_o his_o salvation_n but_o see_v any_o man_n may_v fall_v from_o charity_n and_o lose_v it_o therefore_o there_o be_v no_o absolute_a certainty_n of_o hope_n in_o respect_n of_o charity_n neither_o this_o be_v then_o their_o opinion_n that_o hope_n be_v likewise_o uncertain_a but_o yet_o that_o it_o be_v certain_a in_o some_o respect_n first_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o promise_n then_o in_o respect_n of_o charity_n and_o therefore_o that_o the_o certainty_n of_o hope_n be_v always_o mix_v with_o uncertainty_n for_o what_o time_n it_o be_v certain_a because_o of_o of_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n at_o the_o same_o time_n it_o be_v uncertain_a for_o other_o cause_n which_o be_v in_o ourselves_o as_o in_o regard_n of_o our_o repentance_n in_o respect_n of_o our_o work_n and_o merit_n which_o be_v also_o require_v to_o make_v hope_n certain_a again_o what_o time_n it_o be_v certain_a because_o of_o charity_n at_o the_o same_o time_n it_o be_v uncertain_a because_o of_o the_o changeablenesse_n of_o charity_n this_o be_v their_o opinion_n but_o we_o hold_v thus_o that_o hope_n be_v call_v certain_a because_o of_o faith_n go_v afore_o it_o &_o for_o the_o full_a assurance_n hope_n certainty_n of_o hope_n of_o that_o faith_n for_o certainty_n do_v proper_o belong_v to_o faith_n and_o it_o be_v faith_n whereby_o every_o one_o of_o we_o do_v certain_o know_v that_o salvation_n belong_v unto_o we_o hence_o come_v the_o sureness_n of_o hope_n and_o the_o certainty_n thereof_o second_o we_o say_v that_o this_o certainty_n of_o hope_n which_o be_v for_o faith_n sake_n be_v simple_a and_o absolute_a and_o we_o deny_v that_o hope_n be_v in_o one_o respect_n certain_a and_o in_o another_o respect_n uncertain_a which_o thing_n they_o affirm_v but_o we_o affirm_v that_o it_o be_v certain_a in_o all_o respect_n at_o least_o that_o it_o so_o ought_v to_o be_v in_o respect_n of_o god_n promise_n in_o respect_n of_o charity_n and_o of_o our_o whole_a regeneration_n in_o respect_n of_o our_o perseverance_n and_o so_o of_o the_o rest_n for_o all_o these_o thing_n be_v certain_a and_o sound_a upon_o which_o hope_n depend_v and_o for_o which_o it_o be_v say_v to_o be_v certain_a &_o these_o thing_n do_v depend_v upon_o god_n unchangeableness_n whether_o they_o be_v out_o of_o we_o as_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n or_o within_o we_o as_o charity_n and_o all_o regeneration_n for_o grace_v once_o give_v in_o christ_n jesus_n can_v never_o be_v total_o and_o final_o lose_v our_o adversary_n do_v place_n some_o cause_n of_o certainty_n in_o ourselves_o and_o in_o our_o strength_n and_o in_o our_o work_n and_o merit_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v no_o marvel_n though_o

they_o say_v that_o hope_n be_v not_o simple_o and_o absolute_o certain_a for_o there_o be_v nothing_o more_o uncertain_a than_o these_o thing_n in_o which_o they_o place_v some_o or_o rather_o the_o chief_a cause_n of_o the_o certainty_n of_o hope_n concern_v the_o absolute_a certainty_n of_o hope_n these_o be_v some_o testimony_n of_o scripture_n psal_n 31._o in_o thou_o o_o lord_n have_v i_o
